Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of principal leadership, work motivation on teacher performance at SMP PGRI 1 Palembang. This type of research is quantitative research, with quantitative descriptive methods. Data collection techniques used were observation, documents, interviews, and questionnaires. The results showed: 1) There is a significant influence between principal leadership on teacher performance at SMP PGRI 1 Palembang, 2) There is a significant influence between principal motivation on teacher performance at SMP PGRI 1 Palembang, 3) There is a climate of leadership and motivation. the performance of the principal teachers at SMP PGRI 1 Palembang.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara social presence dengan sense of community pada anggota komunitas seni Universitas Sriwijaya. Hipotesis penelitian ini ialah social presence memiliki hubungan dengan sense of community pada anggota komunitas seni Universitas Sriwijaya. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 100 orang. Teknik sampling menggunakan sampling kuota. Kuota sampel penelitian UKM Harmoni sebanyak 70 orang dan Komunitas X sebanyak 30 orang serta kuota sampel uji coba untuk UKM Harmoni adalah sebanyak 20 orang dan Komunitas X sebanyak 10 orang. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah skala social presence dan sense of community yang mengacu pada dimensi social presence dari Biocca, Harms, dan Gregg (2001) dan elemen sense of community dari McMillan dan Chavis (1986). Analisis data menggunakan analisis korelasi Pearson-Product Moment. Hasil analisis Product Moment menunjukkan R = 0,455 dan P = 0,000 (p<0,05). Hasil menunjukkan bahwa social presence memiliki hubungan yang signifikan dengan sense of community sebesar 45,5%. Dengan demikian hipotesis yang diajukan diterima. Kata kunci: Komunitas, Sense of Community, Social Presence. Abstract. The study objective is to determine the relationship between social presence and sense of community among members of art communities at Sriwijaya University. The hypothesis of the study is that social presence has a relationship with the sense of community among members of art community at Sriwijaya University. The research samples were 100 people chosen using quota sampling techniques. The quota for UKM Harmoni research sample was 70 people and Community X was 30 people and the quota of try out sample for UKM Harmoni was as many as 20 people and Community X as many as 10 people. The instruments used were social presence and sense of community scales that refer to the social presence dimensions from Biocca, Harms, and Gregg (2001) and sense of community elements from McMillan and Chavis (1986). Data analysis was using Pearson-Product Moment correlation. The results of the Pearson-Product Moment analysis show r = 0.455 and P = 0,000 (p<0.05). The results show that social presence has a significant relationship with sense of community of 45.5%. Thus the proposed hypothesis is accepted. Abstract

The present research is inevitable revealing the politeness strategies conveyed by the students of English study program at Jambi University through online discussions. The data of the research are utterances of the research subjects (students) obtained from the students’ Whatsapp chat histories in Literature for Educational Purposes and Teaching English for Young Learners courses all through the classroom interactions. The technique of collecting the data is accomplished by means of reviewing the students’ chats as the consequence of online classes during the period of Covid-19. Every single word obtained from the students’ chats has been read conversely not all of the utterances are regarded as the data (data reduction process). The results of this research highlight four genuses of politeness strategies, namely positive politeness, negative politeness, bald on record, and off record. Briefly, the cultural issue entirely have the aftermath on the politeness strategies realized by the research subjects.

Abstract

Keterampilan membaca pemahaman peserta didik tergolong cukup rendah. Hasil pelaksanaan pratindakan memperlihatkan bahwa nilai rata-rata membaca pemahaman peserta didik yakni 74,3% dan sebanyak 55% tuntas serta 45% belum tuntas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan peningkatan keterampilan terkait membaca pemahaman suatu teks informasi pada peserta didik di kelas III jenjang sekolah dasar melalui pengaplikasian model Problem Based Learning. Penelitian tindakan kelas dengan menggunakan model Kemmis dan M.C Taggart dipilih sebagai metode penelitian. Subjek penelitian ini ialah peserta didik kelas III di SDN Baros Mandiri I. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan tes keterampilan membaca pemahaman teks informasi, observasi, wawancara, dan angket. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan: 1) Siklus I mencapai ketuntasan sebesar 76% atau sekitar 22 peserta didik telah mencapai KKM dan 24% belum tuntas atau sekitar 7 peserta didik belum mencapai KKM; dan 2) Siklus II mencapai ketuntasan sebesar 93% atau sekitar 27 peserta didik telah mencapai KKM dan 7% belum tuntas atau sekitar 2 peserta didik belum mencapai KKM. Dapat diambil simpulan bahwa implementasi dari model Problem Based Learning mampu meningkatkan keterampilan membaca pemahaman teks informasi pada peserta didik kelas III jenjang sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Abstract

The main objective of this research is to map the existence and implementation or implementation of academic service satisfaction during the Covid-19 Pandemic, especially at the Faculty of Law, University of Tanjungpura both in terms of results, processes, and effectiveness. It is hoped that this research will provide theoretical benefits in enriching thoughts and concepts about academic services, as well as practical benefits for students, lecturers, education staff and faculty leaders for feedback and improving various academic services. The results of this study indicate that in terms of the aspects of reliability, responsiveness, assurance (treatment of students), empathy (understanding of student interests), information systems (student information systems) at the Faculty of Law, University of Tanjungpura in terms of academic services quite satisfactory.

Abstract

Dalam pembelajaran social yang bersifat konseptual perlu di terapkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menjawab bagaimana implementasi kepedulian siswa dalam menyikapi situasi sosial yang terjadi di sekitarnya selama masa pandemi Covid-19. Keterlibatan siswa dalam penanganan dampak Covid-19 merupakan wujud dari implementasi nilai-nilai karakter peduli yang telah dipelajari. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan memanfaatkan data pengalaman siswa yang diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara virtual, dan dokumentasi. Data dalam penelitian ini bersumber dari hasil jawaban narasi yang disusun oleh siswa di Bekasi berdasarkan pengalaman kegiatan sosial secara individu maupun kelompok pada tahun 2020. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa memberikan kepedulian sosialnya dengan melakukan pengumpulan bantuan kepada masyarakat terkena dampak kebijakan pemerintah mengenai pembatasan aktivitas masyarakat di luar rumah. Hal ini memiliki dampak pada aspek ekonomi dan memenuhi kebutuhan masyarakat. Sumbangan dikumpulkan dalam bentuk barang dan dana didistribusikan kepada masyarakat. Selain itu, kepedulian sosial ditunjukkan dengan pelibatan mahasiswa dalam berbagai kegiatan sosialisasi, baik secara tatap muka maupun kampanye virtual penanganan Covid-19 di Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of work motivation and organizational climate on employee performance through work discipline at PT Pelindo Jasa Maritim. The research sample size was taken using the Slovin formula with an error tolerance of 10%, so that 88 respondents were obtained who were employees of PT Pelindo Jasa Maritim. The study used a path analysis method with data collection using a questionnaire with a Likert scale. The results showed that, 1) Work Motivation has a positive and significant influence on Employee Performance; 2) Organizational Climate has a positive and significant influence on Employee Performance; 3) Work Motivation has a positive and significant influence on Work Discipline; 4) Organizational Climate has a positive and significant influence on Work Discipline; 5) Work Discipline has no significant influence on Employee Performance; 6) Work Discipline cannot mediate the relationship between Work Motivation and Employee Performance; and 7) Work Discipline cannot mediate the relationship between Organizational Climate and Employee Performance.

Abstract

The study aims to find out how to improve the focus of students in learning Islamic Religious Education (PAI) using the Think Pair Share (TPS) method at class V Sukaharja II Karawang State Elementary School. This type of research is class action research (PTK). The subject of this study is a student of the V class of 34 people, the object of this research is to increase the focus on the student in PAI examination using the Think Pair Share (TPS) method, the implementation of learning carried out through the activities of visiting the research instrument namely observation sheets and lifts. From the data analysis of learning methods Think Pair Share can improve the focus of learning on PAI learning in grade V SD State Sukaharja II Karawang. The increase in students focusing on learning from cycle I to cycle II is about 60 % to 94 %.

Abstract

Background: Leadership is central in a team to carry out the task with optimal results. The Tuberculosis (TB) control team's average achievement in Surabaya from 2015 to 2018 was still below the target (78,23%). Purpose: To conducted to analyze the influence of organizational leadership's perception on the cohesion of the TB control team. Methods: This study was observational with a cross-sectional design and implemented in 43 TB control teams at Surabaya Primary Health Center. The number of informants was 319 team members. The data was obtained with a questionnaire that was processed descriptively and linear regression analysis with SPSS version 25.0. Results: The result showed that organizational leadership had no significant influence on the cohesion of TB control team (p-value 0,124 > α = 0,05). Conclusion: organizational leadership had no significant influence on the cohesion of the TB control team.
