Abstract

The assessment of writing skills is very important for improving students' academic performance in the Indonesian language. The phenomenological method is used in this research to investigate the psychosocial involvement of Indonesian language teachers in developing writing skills assessments. Primary data sources consist of interviews with informants, results from field observations, and documents related to the research findings, while secondary data sources consist of written materials relevant to the research results. The data in this study were collected through non-participatory passive observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. This research involves twenty Indonesian language teachers to uncover how teachers use writing skill assessments. The results of this study indicate that the development of writing assessment skills for Indonesian language teachers involving psychosocial aspects can mean that Indonesian language teachers need to have a strong understanding that incorporates psychosocial elements. The psychosocial teacher offers a narrative framework to motivate religious values and Islamic behavior that helps individuals articulate their experiences. The assessment of writing skills in Indonesian language learning is influenced by personal moral and spiritual involvement, concepts of life principles, experiences, and literature. These psychosocial principles are given by God to the assessment of writing in the Indonesian language and literature, which is a critical component of the writing assessment development process.

Abstract

This study aims to specifically explore the influence of emotional intelligence on the implementation of authentic assessment by Indonesian language teachers in Senior High Schools in Pekanbaru. The research was conducted to test the hypothesis that emotional intelligence positively correlates with the effectiveness of authentic assessment implementation. The method used is a quantitative approach with a survey design, where data were collected through a Likert scale questionnaire designed to measure emotional intelligence and authentic assessment practices. The research sample consists of 50 Indonesian language teachers selected using purposive sampling techniques. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics to provide an overview of the sample characteristics, as well as linear regression analysis to examine the relationship between emotional intelligence and authentic assessment implementation. The results of this study indicate a significant positive correlation between emotional intelligence and the quality of authentic assessment conducted by teachers. Teachers with higher levels of emotional intelligence tend to be better at managing stress, understanding students' emotions, and collaborating effectively, which positively impacts the accuracy and quality of their assessments. This research is relevant in the educational context as it highlights the importance of emotional intelligence training in teacher development programs to enhance assessment practices and educational outcomes. These findings may influence educational policy by emphasizing the need for integrating emotional intelligence into teacher training curricula to improve the quality of assessments in schools.

Abstract

This study uses Bloom's Taxonomy in developing a rubric for assessing observational report text writing skills in Madrasah. The research method is descriptive qualitative, and data were collected through observation, interviews, and analysis of students' writing results. Five Indonesian language teachers and 25 students participated in this study. The findings revealed that the application of Bloom's Taxonomy in the assessment rubric focuses on cognitive assessment at the two lowest levels, namely knowledge (C1) and understanding (C2). This study also identified five benefits of implementing Bloom's Taxonomy, especially in motivating students and improving learning performance based on clear and measurable criteria. Therefore, this assessment helps teachers and students achieve teaching and student learning objectives more effectively. The findings presented have important implications for the development of Indonesian language learning curriculum in madrasah, improving students' basic literacy competencies, creating competency achievement indicators for lesson implementation plans, and achieving educational goals at the local and national levels.

Abstract

Resilience—the ability to adapt positively to adversity—has become a critical concern in educational psychology, particularly for high school students facing heightened academic and social stress. Cognitive restructuring (CR), a core component of cognitive-behavioral therapy, is known to enhance resilience by transforming maladaptive thoughts into constructive reasoning. This study employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) following the PRISMA 2020 guidelines to evaluate the effectiveness of CR techniques in improving student resilience. A total of 47 peer-reviewed articles published between 2015 and 2025 were analyzed. Studies were sourced from Scopus, ERIC, PsycINFO, and Web of Science, focusing on adolescents aged 15–18 in educational or counseling contexts. The synthesis revealed that CR interventions consistently enhanced emotional regulation, self-efficacy, and coping strategies, while also reducing cognitive distortions and academic stress. Techniques such as disputing irrational beliefs and reframing negative thoughts were effective in improving students’ problem-solving and perseverance. Group-based and digital CR implementations yielded particularly strong outcomes in resilience development. Findings support CR as a robust, evidence-based strategy for fostering resilience in adolescents. However, gaps remain regarding long-term effectiveness, cultural adaptation, and variability in intervention models. These limitations point to the need for longitudinal, cross-cultural, and experimental research to optimize implementation across diverse educational settings. Cognitive restructuring is a promising intervention to enhance psychological resilience among high school students, with significant implications for school-based counseling and mental health programs.
