Abstract

This article discusses one of the interpretive approaches that cannot be separated from the attention of the mufasir, namely thematic interpretation. This research aims to explore the meaning of jihad in the perspective of thematic interpretation, especially on the redaction of the word jihad in the Qur'an. The object of research used focuses on the redaction of words in the Qur'an that represent jihad, namely jihad and qitāl. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a text analysis study. The primary sources used are two books of tafsir that use ijtima'i context, or better known as thematic, as an approach. The two books of tafsir are al-Tahrir wa al-Tanwir by Ibn 'Assyria and Tafsir al-Manar by Rasyid Ridha. Secondary sources used are some previous studies related to the research theme. The result of this study is the discovery of differences in the meaning of the editorial words jihad and qitāl in the context of jihad. The redaction of the word qitāl is only limited to the context of warfare. While the redaction of the word jihad has a broader and more complex meaning, not only limited to the context of warfare.

Abstract

This research is in the discourse of Islamic economics, especially the historical study of the economic system implemented in the Ottoman Caliphate. This study aims to identify and analyze the principles of Islamic economics implemented in fiscal, monetary, ownership, and state roles during the Ottoman government. The research method used is qualitative-descriptive with a literature study approach. Data were collected through a review of ten relevant scientific sources, consisting of journal articles, books, and academic studies related to the Ottoman economic system. No hypothesis was proposed, given the exploratory nature of this study. The findings show that the Ottoman Empire implemented a sharia-based economic structure systematically, such as the use of hisbah institutions, waqf systems, ownership divisions, and dinar-dirham-based monetary policies to banknotes. This paper contributes to enriching Islamic economic literature by presenting a historical perspective as a reflection of the application of sharia economics in the governance system. The results of this study are important for broadening the understanding of the Islamic economic model that has been proven to work on a state scale, and can be a reference in the development of contemporary Islamic economics based on institutions.

Abstract

This research analyzed the implementation of training need analysis (TNA) for employee development at Permata Bank's Collection & Recovery Unit in East Jakarta. The issue stemmed from a mismatch between training programs and employee needs, leading to suboptimal unit performance. The study aimed to describe training needs, TNA application, and influencing factors. Employing a descriptive qualitative case study method, data was gathered via interviews, observations, and documentation, validated through triangulation. Findings revealed TNA implementation was suboptimal due to L&D implementers' limited competence and insufficient employee involvement, resulting in irrelevant and ineffective training. Inhibiting factors included minimal management support, time constraints, and resistance to change, despite adequate training facilities. Recommendations included specialized TNA training for L&D, standardized TNA guidelines, benchmarking, and regular evaluation for continuous improvement.

Abstract

Abstract: The internet has transformed not only data exchange through standard devices such as PCs, laptops, or smartphones, but also shifted to various tools in our surroundings. This concept is known as the Internet of Things (IoT). IoT is defined as a system consisting of networks of sensors, actuators, and smart objects aimed at connecting all items, including everyday objects and those used in industry, making them intelligent, programmable, and capable of interacting with humans. IoT has been widely implemented in various sectors, such as smart cities, innovative healthcare, smart agriculture, smart education, and others. Introducing IoT at an early age, particularly in high schools, is essential, with the hope of fostering students' interest in this field. In this community service initiative, IoT technology was introduced at SMA Negeri 1 Air Joman, by delivering materials on IoT technology and its applications. Keywords: high school, IoT. Abstrak: Penggunaan internet telah mengalami transformasi, tidak hanya untuk pertukaran data melalui perangkat umum seperti PC, laptop, atau smartphone, tetapi juga beralih ke berbagai alat yang ada di sekitar kita. Abstract

This study analyzes the role of sahih (authentic) and hasan (good) hadiths as the foundation of Islamic economic ethics and their relevance in addressing contemporary economic challenges. Using a qualitative descriptive approach with a literature study method, the research examines primary sources of sahih and hasan hadiths based on their sanad (chain of transmission) and matan (content) authenticity, alongside secondary studies published between 2019 and 2024. The findings reveal that sahih hadiths provide clear prohibitions against unethical economic practices such as riba (usury), gharar (excessive uncertainty), maisir (gambling), and ihtikar (hoarding), which threaten market stability and justice. In contrast, hasan hadiths emphasize moral values such as justice, honesty, social responsibility, and economic sustainability, which are essential for shaping a fair and welfare-oriented economic system. These principles have been actualized in modern contexts through sharia-compliant financial products, productive zakat management, corporate social responsibility (CSR), and the halal industry. The study concludes that the actualization of sahih and hasan hadiths is both normative and applicable, offering solutions for building ethical, inclusive, and sustainable economic ecosystems. Further research is recommended to explore their integration into digital economy regulations and green economy initiatives

Abstract

This study examines the dynamics of Qur'ānic writing in ancient manuscripts of the archipelago to understand the interaction between the standard Uthmānī rasm and local traditions. This study is conducted with a descriptive-analytical approach through the analysis of manuscripts from Madura, Gunungkidul, Padang Panjang, and Priangan, as well as a review of classical tafsir literature by al-Qurṭubī and al-Qusyairī as a basis for interpretation. The results show that mushaf copying in the archipelago is adaptive, with mixed use of the Uthmānī and Imlā'ī rasm, as well as deviations in harakat and punctuation influenced by technical limitations and the tradition of oral education. The socio-cultural function of the mushaf is very prominent, as seen from its role as a family heirloom, a symbol of religious identity, and a means of community spirituality. Variations in rasm forms such as tā' marbūṭah and tā' maftūḥah also have important implications for the interpretation of verses, especially in an esoteric perspective. These findings show that the ancient mushaf of the archipelago is not only a religious text, but also a scientific and cultural heritage that reflects the richness of local Islamic expressions, so it is worth preserving as part of the community's religious identity.

Abstract

Neisseria gonorrhoeae is the bacteria that causes gonorrhea, a sexually transmitted infection (STI). The reproductive system, rectum, and pharynx are particularly susceptible to this infection. Both men and women can have gonorrhea, but women frequently have moderate or even nonexistent symptoms, which makes the infection go undiagnosed and untreated. This raises the possibility of severe side effects like infertility, pelvic inflammatory disease (PID), and transmission to fetuses or infants. According to a World Health Organization (WHO) assessment, gonorrhea is still a common global health issue, particularly in underdeveloped nations. Factors such as low awareness of STIs, limited access to health services, and increasing antibiotic resistance contribute to the challenges of controlling this disease. Throughout the twentieth century, gonorrhea (GO) was the most prevalent sexually transmitted infection (STI) globally due to delayed diagnosis. Gonorrhea was more common in women than in men in 2009, and the most common sources of reporting for women were emergency rooms (5.8%), STI clinics (16.7%), family planning clinics (9.1%), and other health department clinics (8.1%). Other sources of reporting were private physicians and health maintenance organizations (30.9%). According to WHO figures from 2012, there were 78 million GO infection cases. The frequency was 0.8% for women and 0.6% for males among those aged 15 to 49. According to WHO estimates from 2016, the combined global prevalence of urogenital gonorrhea (the percentage of the world's population that has gonorrhea in a given year) was 0.9% for women and 0.7% for men, or 30.6 million cases globally.
