Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using rations based on local raw materials as a substitute for commercial rations on the production performance (ration consumption, body weight gain and ration conversion) of broilers. This study used 100 DOC without male and female separation. The cages used were box cages measuring 75x60x50 cm per unit of 20 units and each unit consisting of 5 chickens. This research method is an experimental method using a completely randomized design (CRD), with 5 ration treatments and 4 replications. The treatment rations were A (100% Commercial / Control Ration), B (75% Commercial Ration + 25% Local Ration) C (50% Commercial Ration + 50% Local Ration), D (25 % Commercial Ration + 75% Local Ration) and E (100% Local Basal Ration). Parameters measured were ration consumption (g/head/week), body weight gain (g/head/week) and broiler ration conversion. The results of the analysis of diversity showed that the provision of rations based on local raw materials as a substitute for commercial rations had a very significant effect (P<0.01) on ration consumption, body weight gain and broiler ration conversion. The results of the DMRT test showed that the provision of rations based on local raw materials as a substitute for commercial rations on ration consumption, body weight gain and ration conversion in treatments B, C and D were not significantly different from treatment A, but significantly higher than treatment E. Based on this study it can be concluded that giving 25% commercial ration + 75% local ration has the same effect as giving 100% commercial ration (control ration). Abstract

This study aims to determine the potential of rations based on local raw materials as a substitute for commercial rations for crude protein, crude fat, and fiber content. This study uses local feed ingredients in Tanah Laut Regency, South Kalimantan Province: local corn, rice bran, palm kernel cake, fish meal, maggot, stone flour, topmix, and commercial rations with the brand AL 100-II Comfeed produced by PT. Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk. This research method is an experimental method using a completely randomized design (CRD), with five ration treatments and four replications. The treatment rations were A (100% Commercial / Control Ration), B (75% Commercial Ration + 25% Local Ration), C (50% Commercial Ration + 50% Local Ration), D (25 % Commercial Ration + 75% Local Ration) and E (100% Local Basal Ration). The parameters measured were crude protein (%), crude fat (%), and crude fiber (%). The results showed that the nutritional quality of local and factory rations at specific compositions had no significant effect (P>0.05) on crude protein, crude fat, and fiber content. This study concluded that the composition of the mixture of local and commercial rations did not affect the nutritional content, especially crude protein, crude fat, and crude fiber. Crude protein content ranges from 16.87% to 17.96%, crude fat from 5.17% to 6.29%, and crude fiber from 5.17% to 6.29%.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengevaluasi kendala pengembangan ternak sapi potong di Kenagarian Batang Gasan Kecamatan Batang Gasan Kabupaten Padang Pariaman. Metode penelitian dilakukan dengan metode survey. Responden penelitian ini adalah peternak sapi potong yang berada di Kenagarian Batang Gasan, Kecamatan Batang Gasan, Kabupaten Padang Pariaman, sebanyak 74 orang. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis kuantitatif dengan pembahasan secara desktiptif. Dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada beberapa kendala dalam penggembangan ternak sapi potong di Kenagarian Batang Gasan Kecamatan Batang Gasan Kabupaten Padang Pariaman yaitu ketersediaan lahan hijauan (peternak hanya mengandalkan rumput liar), keterbatasan sarana dan prasarana seperti mesin potong rumput dan chopper, belum menerapkan formulasi ransum berdasarkan kebutuhan ternak, pakan yang diberikan tidak sesuai fisiologis ternak dan minimnya penerapan IPTEK terutama teknologi pakan seperti silase dan fermentasi hijauan.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui umur panen optimal dilihat dari kandungan nutrisi (bahan kering, protein kasar, lemak kasar, serat kasar dan total abu) dan analisa kelayakan usaha jangkrik alam di Kalimantan Selatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan jangkrik alam yang dipelihara dari telur sebanyak 500 gram/kotak pemeliharaan sampai umur 35 hari. Kotak pemeliharan jangkrik alam pada penelitian ini berukuran 180 x 112 x 56 cm yang terbuat dari triplek dan berjumlah 4 buah. Pakan yang digunakan adalah BR 1 Wonokoyo, batang pisang dan daun singkong. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan rancangan yaitu rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan yaitu: A = Pemanenan jangkrik alam hari ke-31, B = Pemanenan jangkrik alam hari ke-32, C = Pemanenan jangkrik alam hari ke-33, D = Pemanenan jangkrik alam hari ke-34, E = Pemanenan jangkrik alam hari ke-35 dengan 4 kali ulangan. Parameter yang diamati adalah kandungan bahan kering, protein kasar, lemak kasar, serat kasar, abu total dan analisa kelayakan usaha jangkrik alam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa umur panen jangkrik alam memberikan pengaruh berbeda nyata (P≤0,05) terhadap kandungan bahan kering dan lemak kasar serta berbeda sangat nyata (P<0.01) terhadap protein kasar, namun berbeda tidak nyata (P≥0,05) terhadap kandungan serat kasar dan total abu. Dari hasil penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa umur pemanenan jangkrik alam yang optimal dilihat dari kandungan nutrisi yaitu hari ke-35 dengan kandungan nutrisi yaitu bahan kering 92,61%, protein kasar 60,99%BK, lemak kasar 17,99 %BK, serat kasar 5,18 %BK dan total abu 5,70 %BK.

Abstract

Tanaman gelinggang (Cassia alata L.) merupakan salah satu komoditas pertanian unggulan dari Kalimantan Selatan, dan tanaman yang berpotensi mengandung senyawa fitokimia yang bersifat antibakteri dan dapat digunakan sebagai Antibiotic Growth Promoter (AGP) untuk ternak unggas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kandungan fitokimia yang terkandung di dalam ekstrak daun gelinggang. Sampel daun gelinggang diperoleh dari Kab. Tanah Laut, Provinsi Kalimantan Selatan. Proses ekstraksi dilakukan dengan metode maserasi menggunakan pelarut air, dan dilanjutkan dengan uji kandungan fitokimia. Hasil uji kandungan fitokimia ekstrak air daun gelinggang positif mengandung senyawa fenolik, flafonoid, saponin dan tanin. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah ekstrak air daun gelinggang (Cassia alata L.) mengandung senyawa fenolik, flavonoid, saponin dan tanin yang dapat bersifat antibakteri dan dapat digunakan sebagai Antibiotic Growth Promoter (AGP) untuk ternak unggas.

Abstract

ABSTRAK. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengevaluasi pengaruh penggunaan susu bubuk kadaluarsa dan jamu tradisional dalam air minum terhadap persentase bobot hati, gizzard dan usus halus ayam broiler. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) pola faktorial 3x3. Faktor A (pemberian susu bubuk kadaluarsa dengan dosis 0, 2.5 dan 5 g) sedangkan Faktor B (pemberian jamu tradisional, dengan dosis 0, 0.5, dan 1 g). Setiap kombinasi perlakuan diulang dua kali. Penelitian ini menggunakan DOC Strain CP 707 sebanyak 90 ekor. Parameter yang diukur adalah persentase bobot hati, gizzard dan usus halus ayam broiler. Hasil analisis ragam menunjukkan bahwa tidak terjadi interaksi antara pemberian susu bubuk kadaluarsa dan jamu tradisional. Masing – masing faktor yaitu susu bubuk kadaluarsa (faktor A) dan jamu tradisional (faktor B) memberikan pengaruh tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap persentase bobot hati, gizzard dan usus halus ayam broiler. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa kombinasi penggunaan susu bubuk kadaluarsa sampai 5 g dan jamu tradisional sampai 1 g, tidak memberikan efek negatif terhadap persentase bobot hati, gizzard dan usus ayam broiler.Kata kunci: Susu, jamu, hati, gizzard, usus, broilerThe Effect of Using Expired Milk Powder Milk and Traditional Herbal Medicine in Drinking Water on Liver, Gizzard and Small Intestine Weight Percentages of Broiler ChickensABSTRACT. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of using expired milk powder and traditional herbal medicine in drinking water on the percentage of liver, gizzard and small intestine weight of broiler chickens. The experimental design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) with a 3x3 factorial pattern. Factor A (giving expired powdered milk at a dose of 0, 2.5 and 5 g) while Factor B (giving traditional herbal medicine, at a dose of 0, 0.5 and 1 g). Each treatment combination was repeated twice. This study used 90 Day Old Chicken Strain CP 707. Parameters measured were the percentage of liver, gizzard and small intestine weight of broiler chickens. The results of analysis of variance showed that there was no interaction between giving expired milk powder and traditional herbal medicine. Each factor, namely expired milk powder (factor A) and traditional herbal medicine (factor B) no significant effect (P>0.05) of giving. The conclusion of this studi was the combination of using up to 5 gs of expired milk powder and up to 1 g of traditional herbal medicine, had no negative effect on the percentage of liver, gizzard and intestine weight of broiler chickens.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh sex ratio dan umur induk itik Bayang terhadap fertilitas, daya tetas dan mortalitas embrio. Penelitian ini menggunakan 216 ekor itik Bayang, dimana 189 ekor betina dan 27 ekor jantan dengan umur 72 ekor itik umur 6-9 bulan, 72 ekor itik umur 10-13 bulan dan 72 ekor itik umur 14-17, yang ditempatkan pada 27 flock dengan perbandingan sex ratio 1:6, 1:7 dan 1:9. Itik bayang dipelihara selama 14 hari, pada hari ke 12, 13 dan 14 telur itik diambil untuk ditetaskan dengan menggunakan mesin tetas semi otomatis. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan pola faktorial terdiri dari 3 level faktor A (sex ratio) dan 3 level faktor B (umur induk). Parameter yang diukur adalah fertilitas dan daya tetas dan mortalitas embrio. Hasil penelitian menunjukan tidak terdapat interaksi (P>0,05) antara sex ratio dan umur induk itik Bayang terhadap fertilitas, daya tetas dan mortalitas embrio. Faktor A (sex ratio) berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap fertilitas, namun tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap daya tetas dan mortalitas embrio. Faktor B (umur induk) berpegaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap daya tetas dan mortalitas embrio, namun tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap fertilitas telur. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa sex ratio dan umur induk yang baik untuk menghasilkan telur yang bagus adalah 1:5 dan umur induk 14-17 bulan untuk mendapatkan fertilitas dan daya tetas telur yang tinggi serta mortalitas embrio yang rendah.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to support the development of cattle fattening business in the Integrated Agricultural Center (SPT) managed by PT Arutmin Indonesia. The research method used in this study is Field Work Practice (PKL) which is carried out at PT Arutmin Indonesia Site Asamasam, Simpang Empat Sungai Baru Village, Jorong District, Tanah Laut Regency, South Kalimantan Province. This street vendor lasts for three months, from March 4, 2024 to June 3, 2024. The results of this study show that the productivity of indigofera, sorghum, elephant grass and odot grass in SPT is 2.92 tons, 4.5 tons, 2.9 tons, and 0.278 tons respectively with a dry matter content of 4.08% respectively; 4,8%; 6,57%; and 7.48%. Based on the results of the feasibility analysis of the cattle fattening business in the tax return. The cattle fattening farm business in the SPT is feasible to run because it has a turnover of Rp. 400,000,000 with PP for 5 years and the company will break even if the BEP price is Rp. 15,321,525 and successfully sells 15 cows.
