Abstract

The use of teaching materials plays a crucial role in improving learning quality. Uninteresting materials can lead to a lack of enthusiasm and difficulty in understanding the content. This research aims to develop a Linktree-based E-Module for Indonesian language learning to help students extract important information from narrative texts and improve their reading skills at SD Negeri Batealit 01. The study employs the Research and Development (R&D) method using the Borg and Gall development model. The subjects of this research were fifth-grade teachers and students at SD Negeri Batealit 01. Data collection methods included interviews, documentation, field observations, and questionnaires on teacher and student needs. Data analysis techniques involved feasibility and effectiveness tests of the E-Module. Results from the feasibility tests by material and media experts showed scores of 87.5% and 90%, respectively, both in the very feasible category. The N-Gain test results before and after learning showed a result of 0.6217, categorized as medium, indicating effective use as a learning medium. The conclusion of this research is that the Linktree-based E-Module is both feasible and effective for use in the learning process. It enhances understanding of extracting important information from narrative texts. It is hoped that using Linktree-based E-Modules can increase students' motivation and critical thinking skills.

Abstract

The selection of appropriate learning media is essential to ensure high-quality education. Integrating technology into learning media fosters an engaging environment and enhances students’ comprehension. This study aimed to develop, validate, and evaluate the effectiveness of an inquiry-based learning application SILASWARA (Interview Text Learning Application), designed to improve speaking skills among fourth-grade students at SD Negeri Karangmulyo. Utilizing a Research and Development (R&D) approach based on the Borg and Gall model, the study involved teachers and students as participants. Data were collected through interviews, observations, documentation, and questionnaires. Expert validation revealed high feasibility, with media experts scoring 88.75% and material experts 95%, both categorized as “very feasible.” Effectiveness testing using a paired-sample t-test indicated a significant improvement (p = 0.000), with the average score increasing from 70.76 (pre-test) to 89.05 (post-test). The N-Gain score was 0.6639 (66.39%), reflecting a moderate yet meaningful effectiveness. These findings demonstrate that the SILASWARA application is both feasible and effective as a digital learning tool to enhance speaking skills. Furthermore, its implementation supports active student participation and fosters critical thinking in the learning process.

Abstract

The limited variety of learning media in Grade IV Indonesian language lessons, particularly in local content on narrative texts, has led to low student interest and poor reading comprehension. To address this issue, this study developed and evaluated a Pop-Up Book learning medium enhanced with Augmented Reality (AR). This research involved Grade IV teachers, students, and expert reviewers. Data were collected through observations, interviews, tests, and questionnaires. The primary instruments were questionnaire sheets, while data were analyzed using both qualitative and quantitative descriptive techniques. Effectiveness was measured through pretest–posttest comparisons and N-gain analysis on small- and large-scale trials. Feasibility assessments yielded high scores: material experts (96.66%), media experts (98.75%), teacher responses (97.5%), and student responses (97.08%). Pretest–posttest results showed improved knowledge competence, with N-gain scores of 0.79 (small scale) and 0.66 (large scale), indicating the media was “quite effective” in enhancing reading comprehension. The integration of Pop-Up Books with AR technology provided interactive, visually engaging content that stimulated student interest and facilitated comprehension. The consistently high ratings from experts, teachers, and students confirm its quality and relevance to classroom needs. The AR-assisted Pop-Up Book is highly feasible, effective, and suitable for improving narrative text reading comprehension in Grade IV Indonesian language lessons. Its implementation can serve as an innovative approach to enhance learning engagement and outcomes.

Abstract

The lack of innovation and variety of media used in the Indonesian language learning process causes a lack of listenin skills for students short stories. This research is shown to create a learning media product in the form of a short story book based on augmented reality which can be effectively used to improve students listening skills. The type of research used is research and development with reference to the ADDIE model with the stages of analyze, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Subjects for small scale trials of this study used 6 students and on a large scale trial using 31 students. The product validation test was carried out by 1 media expert and 1 material expert. Data collection methods used observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The product effectiveness test used t-test and N-Gain test. The results explain that augmented reality-based storybook learning media is said to be feasible with 91% value achievement from media experts and 89% support from material experts. These results also provide an effectiveness value through the t-test analysis test value Ha is accepted and the N-Gain obtained is ³ 0.70. Thus it can be explained simply that the learning media is feasible and effective to use in learning Indonesian, especially in short story listening skills. The development of this media can be used by teachers to support interesting and fun learning so that it can improve listening skills.

Abstract

This research introduces a learning media for javelin letters using wooden boards developed with the Number Head Together (NHT) model to interpret new vocabulary for grade 1 elementary school students. This problem occurs due to low concentration and mastery of understanding in grade 1 elementary school students, thus encouraging researchers to develop effective learning media. This study aims to develop, validate, and test the effectiveness of javelin letters media in interpreting new vocabulary. This study uses a development approach that combines product design stages, feasibility validation by expert validators, and effectiveness testing through small-scale and large-scale trials involving 17 male students and 8 female students in grade 1 of AL HIKMAH Elementary School, Semarang City. The feasibility assessment conducted by experts showed a high level of suitability for the use of the media, with a significant increase in student learning outcomes during the trial. The small-scale trial showed an increase in the average pretest score to the posttest from 52.5 to 77.5 with a significant difference of 25. The large-scale trial showed an increase in the average from 60.2 to 81 with a difference of 20.8. The results of the N-Gain test showed a moderate effect, with a value of 0.5356 for small-scale testing and 0.5437 for large-scale testing. This study concludes that the letter throwing media through the Number Head Together (NHT) model is a very important learning medium for improving understanding of new vocabulary. Positive feedback from teachers and students confirms its effectiveness in generating student engagement to improve learning outcomes in the classroom to be more optimal.

Abstract

Good reading skills are in demand for elementary school students, but the facts in the field prove that elementary school students' initial reading is still relatively low. So, this is a challenge that can cause learning difficulties. Learning media is still not optimally used during the learning process. This research aims to develop, test the feasibility, and test the results of the effectiveness of the smart app creator educational application media using the institutional word method to improve the initial reading skills of grade 1 school students. This research uses Research and Development (R&D) created by Sugiyono. The test subjects were 22 students of class 1A SDN kalibanteng Kidul 03 Semarang City. The smart app creator application consists of several components: the star page, instructions for use, main menu, introduction menu, material menu, quizizz menu, let us try the menu, practice menu, and developer profile menu. This study's results show the feasibility test results of 93% of media experts and 96.15% of material experts with very feasible criteria. The results of the media effectiveness test using the paired test obtained a significant value of <0.001. The result of the N-Gain calculation was obtained with a value of 0.7277 in the high category. Therefore, the study's can be concluded that the smart app creator educational application using the institutional word method is feasible and effective in improving the initial reading skills of grade I students.
