<![CDATA[Abstrak. Bahasa Inggris merupakan suatu bahasayang wajib dimiliki para generasi muda. Perkembangan dan kemajuan ekonomi dunia memaksa kita untuk terus bangkit membenahi diri termasuk dengan kemampuan dalam berbahasa inggris. Pada penelitian ini berusaha menyajikan metode Sistem English Quarantine untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berbahasa khususnya dibidang ekonomi. Metode ini akan diperlakukan kepada siswa SMA dimana mereka adalah generasi penerus negeri ini yang akan melanjutkan perjuangan bangsa ini di berbagai bidang termasuk dibidang ekonomi. Peng-Implimentasian metode System English Quarantine dalam pembelajaran bahasa inggris bukan saja untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berbahasa Inggris akan tetapi tujuan utamanya adalah mempersiapkan generasi muda yang siap saing tingkat nasional maupun Internasional, sebahai modal tambahan bagi calon Interprenuer muda. Sedangkan tujuan jangka panjangnya adalah : Mengurangi pengangguran Terbuka dengan mempersiapkan generasi muda sebagai calon Entereprenuer berbakat , handal yang siap tempur di kalangan nasional maupun Internasional. Pada penelitian ini melakukan eksperimen dan survey. Berdasarkan hasil uji F yang dilakukan, diketahui bahwa tingkat signifikansi sebesar 0,000 yang lebih kecil dari 0,05. Berdasarkan hasil ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa variabel independen yaitu metode System English Quarantine dan kemampuan berbahasa Inggris berpengaruh cukup signifikan terhadap calon entrepreneur muda pada siswa.Kata Kunci : Metode System English Quarantine, EnterprenuerAbstract. English is a language that must be owned by the younger generation. The development and progress of the world economy forces us to continue to improve ourselves, including the ability to speak English. This research attempts to present the English Quarantine System method to improve language skills, especially in the economic field. This method will be treated to high school students where they are the next generation of this country who will continue the struggle of this nation in various fields including economics. Implementing the English Quarantine System method in learning English is not only to improve English language skills but its main goal is to prepare young people who are ready to compete nationally and internationally, as additional capital for young Interprenuer candidates. While the long-term goal is: Reducing Open unemployment by preparing young people as talented, reliable entrepreneurs who are ready to fight in national and international circles. In this study conducted experiments and surveys. Based on the results of the F test carried out, it is known that the significance level of 0,000 is smaller than 0.05. Based on these results it can be concluded that the independent variables namely the English Quarantine System method and English language ability have a significant effect on prospective young entrepreneurs in students.Keywords: English Quarantine System Method, Enterprenuer]]>

<![CDATA[Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah media film berbahasa Inggris tepat digunakan dalam pembelajaran listening dan bagaimana respon dari mahasiswa terhadap media film yang diterapkan. Film yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah berbentuk animasi yang berjudul Epic yang menceritakan tentang perebutan dunia tumbuhan dikombinasikan dengan peran oleh seorang manusia. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Dari hasil observasi dengan menggunakan angket dan wawancara yang dilakukan pada dosen mata kuliah listening dan empat belas mahasiswa semester dua Fakultas Sastra Universitas Muslim Nusantara Al-Washliyah ditemukan bahwa media film tepat digunakan dalam pembelajaran listening dan repons dari mahasiswa adalah bahwa mahasiswa tertarik serta menjadi kreatif mempelajari listening dengan media film berbahasa Inggris.]]>

<![CDATA[This study discusses the keyword-based model in learning English to for adult learners who in fact have little free time due to various activities but require the ability to communicate in English. Researchers are triggered to make this model because of their weakness in English, so they often have problems communicating with foreign partners. The research method adopted in this study is a qualitative method with descriptive analysis. "Descriptive analysis is an analysis used to analyze data by describing the data that has been collected as it is without intending to make conclusions that apply to the public or generalizations." (Sugiono. 2016). The instrument used for data collection in this study is a questionnaire. The model's effectiveness test is also carried out by looking at the increase or decrease in the respondents' English understanding of English language. The respondents of this study are lecturers and officers at the Islamic University of North Sumatra which are determined using purposive sampling. The findings of this study is an effective and efficient keyword-based model for adult learners because with a keyword-based model, learners do not need a long time to spend in learning English, so it does not cost too much considering they have little free time.]]>

<![CDATA[Pengabdian pada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan wawasan pengetahuan mengenai berkarya dengan mengolah limbah plastik menjadi barang yang bernilai ekonomi sehingga dapat menambah pendapatan pada masyarakat yang ada di Desa Tanjung Rejo Kecamatan Percut Sei Tuan kabupaten Deli Serdang dengan memberikan wawasan pentingnya menjaga lingkungan di sekitar. Sasaran pengabdian adalah masyarakat di Desa Tanjung Rejo Kecamatan Percut Sei Tuan Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Permasalahan diselesaikan dalam tiga tahapan Perencanaan, Pelaksanaan dan Evaluasi. Perencanaan dilakukan dengan cara melakukan survey dan melihat kondisi dilapangan. Pelaksanaan dilakukan dengan pelatihan yang dilakukan dengan metode ceramah dan praktek langsung pengolahan limbah tutup botol plastik. Evaluasi kegiatan dilakukan dengan melihat hasil karya inovasi yang telah dilakukan masyarakat. Hasil Kegiatan pelatihan menunjukkan tanggapan yang sangat baik dari masyarakat dengan adanya respon yang positif dari masyarakat dilihat dari inovasi yang mereka hasilkan atas pengolahan limbah plastik tersebut.]]>

<![CDATA[This objective of this study was to find out the form of code mixing, which code mixing was dominant, and what factors caused the code mixing occurred in communication of Indian community especially Tamil and Punjabi. The method used in this research was qualitative method by interview technique and observation. The sample used in this research was the purposive sampling. The number of sample was thirty people of Indian immigrants lived in Medan, especially in the Mongonsidi area of ​​Anggrung Village, Medan Polonia Subdistrict. From the resuls of the research found 54 forms of code mixing in the form of words amounted to 47 words, 5 phrases, and 2 code mixing in the form of clauses. In addition to the form of code mixing, the researcher also found several factors causing the code mixing. Based on the research that had been done, the factors causing the code mixing in communication in Indian community they were a) Background attitude of speaker, b) Potency of Opponent Speaker, and c) Familiarity. <![CDATA[The objective of the research is to seek the laughter interjection on WhatsApp social media. The data is taken from the conversations on WhatsApp social media. The data are analyzed using Natural Semantic Metalanguage (NSM) theory. The method used is a qualitative method. From the results of the study, it was found that there were several laughter interjections found in WhatsApp social media, namely laughter interjections hahaha, hehehe, wkwkwk, and hiks hiks hiks. The interjection of laughing hahaha indicates a sense of reluctance or discomfort and there is also a sense of humor felt by the speaker. While the laughter interjection hehehe shows the shame towards someone or feels bad because the speaker feels disturbing to others or feels reluctant to treat the interlocutor in the conversation. Then there is the laughter interjection wkwkwk which shows something that is considered very funny so that the speaker or interlocutor feels amused by the stated expression. Finally, there is an interjection of laughing hiks hiks hiks, which is a person's embarrassment about a statement of someone has said. <![CDATA[The objective of this research was to know the jargon and the forms of jargon used in the conversation on Masterchef Indonesia Season 5 live on one of private television in Indonesia. The method used in this research was descriptive qualitative method. The source of the data from this research were words, phrases, sentences in the conversation script between the jury and the participants on Masterchef Indonesia Season 5. The result found in this research that jargon used by the jury and the participants were in English. Then, it was found that there were 37 data in the conversation.From 37 data, there 26 jargon in the form of words and 11 in the form of phrases.]]>

<![CDATA[This thesis contains an analysis of the emancipation of women in the novel entitled Girl in Pieces by Kathleen Glasgow. The method used in this research is qualitative method. The purpose of this study is to find out the type of female emancipation in the novel Girl in Pieces by Kathleen Glasgow in the Obama era in 2016 and to find out the impact of women's emancipation. Data is taken from the novel Girl in Pieces by Kathleen Glasgow. From results of the data analysis found that there are two types of emancipation found away the five types of emancipation, namely, the emancipation of women fostering progress / society. The positive impact of women's emancipation is that women can become independent and independent from men. And the negative impact of the emancipation of women is the absence of gender identity or the loss of gender identity during the Obama period.]]>

<![CDATA[The objectives of the research were to find the educational value and benefits of watching movie. The source of the movie discussed in this research is Bilal: A New Breed of Hero. There were two sources of data used in this thesis. The main data source was obtained from the movie in the form of dialogue scripts between characters in the movie. The second data was obtained from articles related to research and other sources from the internet. The type of research in this movie was descriptive qualitative. It was used to answer the questions in problem of the research and was presented in the form of a description. Based on the analysis, it was known that there were several educational values found, including: honest, brave, peace, confident and potential, discipline, loyal and trustworthiness, respect, loving and affection, kind and friendly, fair and humanist. In addition, there were two benefits of watching Bilal: A New Breed of Hero Movie, namely: as medium of education and medium of entertainment.]]>
