Abstract

Indonesia has 9.47% of the total plant species in the world. Plants of various kinds are a gift from God to be chosen and used as a cure for many diseases. The high biodiversity of plants also supports the development of traditional elements of society which are reflected in their use, especially as medicines. This study aims to explain the use of traditional medicine to maintain the immune system from ethnobotany and thibbun nabawi. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research involving key informants. The data was obtained by snowball sampling and analyzed by inductive technique. This study revealed that the people of Tiris used 18 types of natural medicines to maintain body immunity during the pandemic. People also used other minerals such as honey, eggs, and eucalyptus oil for herbs. The highest used value (UV) is 0,70, namely temu kunci (Boesenbergia pandurata), and the result of calculating the ICF value for this natural medicine is 0,68. This utilization is an effort to deal with a pandemic by thibbun nabawi, using herbs and honey.

This research examines the implementation of discipline and responsibility character education through the daily murojaah culture at Darul Istiqomah Elementary School, Maesan, Bondowoso, during the 2024–2025 academic year. The murojaah practice, involving daily Quranic recitation and review, is used as a strategy to instill discipline and responsibility in students. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through observations, interviews with educators, and document analysis. The findings reveal that the murojaah culture is systematically organized, emphasizing consistency, teacher-student collaboration, and parental involvement, which significantly enhance students' punctuality, focus, and accountability. The study concludes that the daily murojaah culture effectively nurtures discipline and responsibility among students, creating a positive and supportive learning environment. Challenges such as varying levels of student readiness are addressed through adaptive strategies, including personalized guidance and motivation. This approach demonstrates the potential of integrating religious practices into school routines as a replicable model for character education, fostering morally and socially responsible individuals.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of academic administration services, including Responsiveness, Assurance, Tangibility, Empathy, and Reliability (RATER), on student satisfaction at one of the State Islamic Religious Universities in East Java, Indonesia. A quantitative approach with an associative research type was used in this research. Sampling was conducted using a proportional random sampling technique, resulting in a sample of 109 students. Data was collected through a questionnaire tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was carried out using multiple linear regression tests. The research results show that academic administration services, which include the RATER dimension, simultaneously influence student satisfaction. However, only three variables have a partial influence: responsiveness, assurance, and tangibility. These findings imply that improving the quality of academic administration services based on the RATER dimensions is needed to increase student satisfaction. This shows the potential for improving academic administration services in higher education, focusing on critical aspects such as Responsiveness, Assurance, Tangibility, Empathy, and Reliability (RATER) to increase student satisfaction and institutional reputation.

Abstract

This study reconceptualises student-centred leadership in Southeast Asian schools by a systematic synthesis of empirical evidence on leadership practices, mediating mechanisms, and student outcomes. Although student-centred leadership has gained policy attention in response to learning inequities, student disengagement, and socio-emotional challenges, research in Southeast Asia remains fragmented across leadership typologies and reform agendas. Guided by the PRISMA framework, this study conducted a systematic literature review of empirical journal articles indexed in Scopus and Web of Science. Database searches conducted in January 2026 identified 2,338 records. Following rigorous screening and eligibility procedures based on predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria, 32 studies published between 2010 and 2025 were included in the qualitative synthesis. Data were analysed using integrative thematic synthesis. The findings indicate that student-centred leadership is not a singular model. Instead, it constitutes a multidimensional constellation of practices encompassing instructional alignment, relational trust-building, ethical climate formation, pedagogical innovation, and sustained teacher professional development. Leadership influence on students is predominantly indirect and operates through mediating mechanisms such as teaching quality, professional learning structures, school climate, and curriculum enactment. These practices are consistently associated with improved student engagement, wellbeing, agency, autonomy, and learning outcomes. However, implementation is frequently constrained by hierarchical governance structures, accountability pressures, uneven teacher readiness, and digital inequality. This study advances a mechanism-based and contextually grounded reconceptualisation of student-centred leadership in Southeast Asia. It strengthens leadership scholarship by foregrounding mediating pathways and decentring Western-dominated typologies, while offering practical and policy implications for leadership preparation, reform alignment, and equity-oriented school improvement.
