Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui model pembelajaran inqury training terhadap kemampuan higher order thinking skilss siswa di kelas X SMA Generus Bangsa. Jenis penelitian ini termasuk penelitian quasi experimental design, yang dalam pelaksanaannya tidak menggunakan penugasan random (random assignment) melainkan dengan menggunakan kelompok yang sudah ada yaitu melibatkan dua kelas yang diberi perlakuan yang berbeda. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2021/2022 di SMA Generus Bangsa Kutalimbaru. Satu kelas dijadikan sebagai kelas eksperimen (X) yaitu kelas X MIA 1 yang diberi pengajaran dengan model pembelajaran Inquairy Training dan kelas X MIA 2 dijadikan sebagai kelas kontrol (Y) yang menerapkan pembelajaran konvensional Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dalam penelitian yang digunakan adalah tes essay. Berdasarkan hasil observasi pada siswa di kelas X di SMA Generus Bangsa Kutalimbaru, dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode pembelajaran menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Inquiry Training terbukti efektif dan signifikan dalam meningkatkan Perkembangan Kemampuan Higher Order Thinking siswa di Sma Generus Bangsa Kutalimbaru. Peningkatan Perkembangan Kemampuan Higher Order Thinking ini terlihat dari nilai thitung 1.405 < ttabel 2.042. Sedangkan untuk nilai signifikansi (sig.) 0.017 < 0.05 Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada hubungan linear secara signifikansi antara perkembangan Perkembangan Kemampuan Higher Order Thinking siswa sebelum perlakuan (pre test) dengan perkembangan Perkembangan Kemampuan Higher Order Thinking siswa sesudah perlakuan (post test). Hal tersebut dapat dilihat pula dari siswa dalam mengerjakan soal.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out the comparative influence of the PBL model and the STEAM-based PBL model on improving the science process skills of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 3 Medan students. By applying the STEAM-based PBL model in learning activities, students' science process skills are formed, thus giving students a new learning style in participating in physics learning. The research was conducted to see the effect of the STEAM-based PBL model on improving the science process skills of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 3 Medan students. This research used a quasi-experiment, the sample for this research was taken using random sampling technique for class XI MIPA which consisted of an experimental class and a control class. The t-test obtained with tcount > ttable (3.75 > 0.721) with a significance level of α=5% (0.05). So H0 is rejected. It can be concluded that on average the experimental class is better, and the STEAM-based Problem Based Learning model has an influence on students' science process skills with a sufficient index category (70.59).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of SAVI (Somatic, Auditory, Visual, Intellectual) learning model on students' physics learning outcomes. This type of research is quantitative with a quasi-experimental design on the subject matter of Effort and Energy. The population in this study were all X MIA class students by taking two classes as samples, namely X MIA-4 experimental class and X MIA-3 control class, random sampling technique. The experimental class received treatment using the SAVI learning model, while the control class used the Direct Instruction model. The learning outcomes test is 29 multiple choice questions with 5 different answer options that have been tested for validation and reliability first, then testing the hypothesis using the t-test. From the results of data analysis, the average score of the experimental class was 23.06 with a standard deviation of 3.83 while the control class was 18.41 with a standard deviation of 4.59. Based on the normality test obtained Lcount < Ltable = 0.151 < 0.159 and 0.155 < 0.156 the data is declared normally distributed. Homogeneity test ????count ≤ ????table = 0.720 < 1.828 states the sample is homogeneous. The t-test results tcount > ttable = 4.09 > 1.670 so that H1 is accepted. Based on these data that there is a significant effect of SAVI (Somatic, Auditory, Visual, Intellectual) learning model on student physics learning outcomes in class X MIA MAS Muallimin Univa Medan

Abstract

AbstractThe background to this research is that physics lessons are often considered difficult and less interesting by students, especially because of their abstract nature, the complexity of mathematical calculations, and the difficulty in connecting theory with practice. One of the challenging topics is Newton's Law of motion, which includes the relationship between force, mass and acceleration. This research was carried out at MA Muallimin UNIVA Medan, by applying the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model, an innovative learning media that is relevant to development. technology. This research utilizes PHET (Physics Education Technology), an interactive simulation platform developed by the University of Colorado Boulder, to support learning Newton's Laws. PHET allows students to carry out virtual experiments independently with various variables, such as mass, force and surface type, so that student learning outcomes increase. The research method used is quantitative in class X-G. The instrument used is a written test (essay) with a total of 10 questions. It is known that the pretest and posttest data are normally distributed with a significance value of Pretest (0), Posttest (0,), and are declared homogeneous with a significance value Based on Mean (0.245) where the normality and homogeneity test values exceed (>) the real level used in the measurement namely α = 0.05 or 5%. With the help of SPSS, it is known that the average posttest student learning outcomes (85.93) are higher than the pretest (58.80), so it can be concluded that the hypothesis is accepted.

Abstract

Purpose -This study aims to address the challenges of teaching astronomy in higher education, particularly in institutions with limited observational infrastructure and urban light pollution. The purpose of this research is to investigate the effectiveness of Stellarium, a digital planetarium application, in enhancing students' conceptual understanding of astronomy concepts in Physics Education.Methodology - A quasi-experimental research design was employed, utilizing a pretest-posttest control group format. The sample consisted of 30 undergraduate students enrolled in the astronomy course, who were purposively selected and divided into an experimental group and a control group. The research procedure involved the development of Stellarium-integrated instructional materials, the implementation of teaching interventions, and the administration of pretests and post-tests to assess conceptual understanding. Additional instruments included a questionnaire to capture students' perceptions and documentation of classroom activities. Data were analyzed using paired sample t-tests, independent sample tests, and descriptive statistics.Findings - The results of the initial and final trials showed a significant increase in the experimental group's understanding of astronomical concepts. In contrast, the control group showed minimal improvement. The findings revealed a significant improvement in the experimental group's test scores, with an average gain of 16.6 points (p < 0.05). Students also expressed highly positive perceptions of Stellarium in terms of visual appeal, ease of use, learning motivation, and comprehension of celestial motion. These results suggest that Stellarium is an effective pedagogical tool for enhancing conceptual understanding of astronomy and fostering student engagement.Contribution- The study contributes to the growing body of research on simulation-based learning and offers practical insights into integrating digital technologies in science education, particularly in resource-constrained institutions. It also offers a model for adapting global digital tools to local educational contexts, thereby supporting curriculum innovation in Indonesian higher education.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the effect of learning media assisted by the Powtoon application based on ethnomathematics on student learning outcomes in the material of spatial figures in class V of SD 105358 Sekip. This study is a study with a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental design. From the results of the study, it is known that learning media assisted by the Powtoon application based on ethnomathematics has a significant effect on the learning outcomes of class V students of SDN 105358 Sekip. This can be seen from the t-value of 5.024 and t-table 1.72. The Sig. value (2-tailed) <0.001, meaning <0.05. Because t-value> from t-table, H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means that there is an effect of the use of learning media assisted by the Powtoon application based on ethnomathematics on student learning outcomes in the material of spatial figures in class V of SDN 105358 Sekip.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa di V SDN 064986 melalui penggunaan model Problem Based Learning berbantuan media diorama. Model penelitian tindakan kelas yang akan digunakan dalam penelitian ini diadaptasi dari model Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart Rencana (plan), Tindakan (act), Observasi/pengamatan (observe), Refleksi (reflect). Populasi terdiri dari seluruh siswa kelas V yang berjumlah 22 siswa di SDN 064986 Medan Amplas, peneliti mengambil sampel pada kelas V. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dgunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara, tes hasil belajar. Dapat di lihat bahwa hasil belajar peserta didik kelas V SDN 064986 Medan Amplas terjadi peningkatan setelah menggunakan model PBL berbantuan Diorama. Sampai pada siklus II dalam pengunaan model PBL berbantuan Diorama, terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar yakni terlihat dari presentase hasil belajar peserta didik pada setiap siklus terjadi peningkatan. Berdasarkan data hasil belajar peserta didik pada siklus 1 dan siklus 2 ditemukan adanya peningkatan. Ketuntasan klasikal pada siklus 1 sebesar 55% siklus 2 sebesar 87%. Mengacu pada data tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan model PBL berbantuan Diorama dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar tematik peserta didik kelas V SDN 064986 Medan Amplas.

Abstract

Dalam proses pembelajaran penggunaan media pembelajaran yang kurang inovatif sehingga kurang minatnya siswa terhadap pembelajaran, Kurangnya ketertarikan siswa terhadap materi yang diajarkan dikarenakan proses pembelajaran masih monoton, Penggunaan media berbasis teknologi masih belum sepenuhnya dimanfaatkan oleh guru, Belum pernah menggunakan media yang bernuansa budaya jawa, Minat belajar siswa masih kurang dalam proses pembelajaran, Belum pernah menggunakan macromedia flash 8 bernuansa budaya jawa dalam pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development R&D), Pengembangan media pembelajaran ini menggunakan model ADDIE yang terdiri dari 5 tahapan yaitu Analysis (analisis), Design (perancangan), Development (pengembangan), Implementation (implementasi), dan Evaluation (evaluasi). Dari hasil validasi yang dilakukan oleh validator ahli materi mendapatkan presentase 92% yang dikategorikan “Sangat Layak”. media pembelajaran dikategorikan “Sangat Layak” dengan presentase kelayakan sebesar 98%. Dari hasil validasi yang dilakukan oleh guru kelas IV mendapatkan presentase 92% dengan kategorikan “Sangat Baik”. responden siswa terhadap media pembelajaran macromedia flash 8 memproleh presentase 92,4% dengan kategri "Sangat Baik".disimpulkan bahwa peneliti dan pengembangan menggunakan tahpan-tahapan dengan model ADDIE dengan mengasilkan produk berupa media pembelajaran berbantuan macromedia flash 8 pada pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia Bab7 Asal Usul Kelas IV SD.

Abstract

This research aims to develop syllable card media to improve early reading skills in elementary schools. The research method used is RnD with the ADDIE development model: analyze, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. This research was conducted at State Elementary School 060820 Medan City with 22 students as subjects. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, documentation, questionnaires, and tests. The results of the study indicate that the syllable cards met the validity criteria, with a score of 84% from the material expert validator, 82% from the media expert validator, and 92% from the language expert validator, with an average validation score of 86%, categorized as very valid. The developed syllable card media product also met the criteria of being very practical, based on teacher responses of 94%. The syllable cards were also declared effective in improving students' reading skills, with a pretest score of 68% and a posttest score increasing to 92%, indicating a significant increase of 24%. Therefore, it can be concluded that the developed syllable card learning media has met the criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness, making it suitable for use as a learning medium to improve students' early reading skills.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effect of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model integrated with PhET virtual laboratory media on students’ science process skills at MAS Insan Kesuma Madani. The research employed a quasi-experimental design with purposive sampling technique. The participants were divided into an experimental class and a control class. Data were collected using a science process skills test instrument. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics with parametric tests. The findings revealed that the experimental class obtained a higher average N-Gain score (47.5) compared to the control class (20.2). This result indicates a moderate improvement in the experimental group. The hypothesis testing showed a significant difference between the two classes (Sig. 2-tailed = 0.000 < 0.05). These findings confirm that the implementation of the PjBL model integrated with PhET has a positive and significant effect on students’ science process skills. Therefore, this learning model is effective in enhancing students’ science process skills, particularly on the topic of work and energy.
