Abstract

This study aims to examine the forms of collaboration between parents and teachers in preventing verbal bullying in the fourth grade of SDN Banjaranyar 04. The research method used was qualitative with a case study approach. Informants consisted of a homeroom teacher, two parents, and four students. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation, and then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The results showed that teachers applied a sympathetic and persuasive approach in guiding students and used motivational strategies, while the sanctions imposed were educational in nature. Parents played a role through firm yet nurturing parenting and maintained active communication with teachers, especially through digital media. Collaboration between the two parties took place informally and had not yet been structured in a systematic manner. The challenges encountered included limited teacher supervision and the presence of harsh parenting at home, which could trigger aggressive behavior. This study underscores the importance of synergy between parents and teachers in creating a safe and supportive learning environment free from verbal bullying.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the causes of students' difficulties in solving mathematical story problems based on the perspectives of teachers and fourth-grade students of SDN Slatri 01. The study used a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. The research subjects consisted of fourth-grade teachers and 39 fourth-grade students. Data collection techniques used interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that students' difficulties occurred at the stages of understanding the problem, planning solutions, implementing plans, and re-checking answers. The causative factors came from internal factors such as low reading literacy skills, learning interests, motivation, and student learning habits. External factors included less varied learning methods, limited use of learning media, and a lack of contextual practice problems. Teachers' and students' perspectives showed a similarity that understanding the language of the problem was the main obstacle in solving mathematical story problems. This study provides recommendations for the need for more contextual learning, the use of concrete media, and the habituation of problem-solving strategies according to Polya.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to examine the utilization of Kahoot interactive media in improving student activeness and learning outcomes in elementary schools. This study employed a qualitative approach using the literature review method by analyzing various relevant scientific articles related to the use of Kahoot in learning activities. The data sources were obtained from national and international journals discussing interactive learning media, gamification, student activeness, and learning outcomes at the elementary school level. The results of the study indicate that the use of Kahoot as an interactive learning medium can increase student participation, enthusiasm, motivation, and engagement during the learning process. In addition, features such as quizzes, scores, rankings, and instant feedback contribute positively to improving student learning outcomes. The implementation of Kahoot also supports a more active, enjoyable, and student-centered learning environment. Therefore, Kahoot can be used as an innovative interactive learning medium to support the improvement of student activeness and learning outcomes in elementary schools

Abstract

Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) learning in the Merdeka Curriculum emphasizes contextual, meaningful, and student-centered learning. One of the learning approaches considered effective in supporting these objectives is outdoor learning, which utilizes the surrounding environment as a learning resource. This study aims to analyze the impact of the outdoor learning method on students' learning outcomes, motivation, engagement, and learning experiences based on findings from previous studies. The research employed a literature review method by collecting and analyzing various scientific sources, including journal articles, books, and other publications relevant to the research topic. The findings indicate that the implementation of outdoor learning has a positive impact on IPAS learning, including improving students' learning outcomes, conceptual understanding, learning motivation, active participation, critical thinking skills, science process skills, collaboration skills, and environmental awareness. Learning activities conducted outside the classroom also provide more meaningful learning experiences, as students are able to relate IPAS concepts to real-life phenomena found in their surrounding environment. Furthermore, outdoor learning supports the implementation of active, innovative, and enjoyable learning in accordance with the principles of the Merdeka Curriculum. Therefore, outdoor learning can be considered an effective instructional approach to enhance the quality of IPAS learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial (IPAS) instruction for fifth-grade students at SDN Tegalgandu 02. Prior studies on PBL in elementary IPAS classrooms have largely relied on quantitative designs measuring learning outcomes, critical thinking, or student engagement, leaving a gap in qualitative accounts of how the model unfolds in daily classroom practice. This research used a qualitative case study approach involving a fifth-grade teacher and ten students selected through purposive sampling based on their level of learning activeness. Data were collected through classroom observation of instruction on the water-cycle topic, in-depth interviews, and documentation, then analyzed following the interactive model of data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing, with credibility established through source and technique triangulation. The findings show that the teacher carried out all five PBL syntax stages, problem orientation, organizing students, guiding investigation, developing and presenting work, and analyzing and evaluating the problem-solving process, producing instruction that was active, student-centered, contextual, and collaborative. Implementation still faced constraints: limited instructional time, uneven student ability and engagement, and some students' reluctance to voice their opinions. The teacher addressed these constraints through more intensive scaffolding, heterogeneous grouping, motivational reinforcement, and more deliberate time management, allowing the intended learning objectives to be achieved.
