Abstract

This study is motivated by the rapid development of Islamic financing products, particularly gold installment financing, which has become an alternative investment for the community. The aim of this research is to analyze the practice of gold installment financing and its marketing strategies at Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) KCP Polewali Mandar, as well as to assess their compliance with Islamic economic law principles. This study employs a qualitative method with an empirical juridical approach. Data were collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation involving bank officers and customers. The data analysis process includes data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the gold installment practice at BSI KCP Polewali Mandar has been implemented systematically through several stages, including application submission, feasibility analysis, gold procurement, execution of murabahah and rahn contracts, installment payments, and final delivery of gold. The marketing strategies applied include direct approaches (canvassing), digital communication, and public education. Overall, both the practice and marketing strategies are in line with Islamic economic law principles, such as justice, honesty, transparency, and the avoidance of riba and gharar. However, challenges remain, particularly the low level of Islamic financial literacy among the public, which leads to misconceptions regarding margin and contract concepts. Therefore, increased education and socialization are necessary to enhance public understanding of gold installment products.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the practice of wakalah bil ujrah among clothing traders at Pasar Sentral Pangkep and to examine its compliance from the perspective of Islamic economic law. This research employs a qualitative method with a descriptive and normative-empirical approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, involving clothing traders and the market head as key informants. Data analysis uses the Miles and Huberman model, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the practice of wakalah bil ujrah occurs when a trader who does not have the requested goods seeks them from another trader with the buyer’s approval. In this practice, the intermediary trader acts as an agent (wakil), while the owner of the goods acts as the principal (muwakkil), and the profit is obtained from the price margin. This practice is influenced by the desire to retain customers, limited stock availability, and strong social relationships among traders. It also provides positive impacts such as increasing transaction opportunities and improving distribution efficiency. From the perspective of Islamic economic law, this practice fulfills most of the essential elements of wakalah, including the presence of a principal, an agent, and a clearly defined object, and reflects principles such as mutual assistance, consent, honesty, and fairness. However, it does not fully comply with the requirements of wakalah bil ujrah due to the absence of clear contractual agreement and predetermined compensation, which may lead to elements of uncertainty (gharar). Furthermore, the practice resembles other contracts such as samsarah (brokerage) and ju’alah, thus it can be categorized as a hybrid contract in contemporary Islamic transactions. Therefore, improvements in transparency and clarity of agreement are necessary to align with Islamic economic law principles.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the understanding of Arabic Grammar through a game-based learning method using digital cards for class IX Skill students at MTsN 1 Makassar City. This study was motivated by students' low learning outcomes in understanding Grammar, caused by the use of less interactive learning methods. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with the Kemmis and McTaggart model, carried out in two cycles, each consisting of the planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were 20 students. Data collection techniques included observation and learning outcome tests (pre-test and post-test). Data were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The results showed that implementing the Game-Based Learning method using digital cards significantly improved student learning outcomes. In the pre-cycle stage, the average student score was 53.8 with a 10% completion rate. In the first cycle, the average score increased to 79.25 with a 60% completion rate. Furthermore, in cycle II, improvement continued, with an average score of 88.35 and a completion rate of 95%. Furthermore, student activity and participation in learning increased, as indicated by greater involvement in discussions, group work, and educational games. Therefore, it can be concluded that the game-based learning method using digital cards is effective in improving understanding of Arabic grammar and creating more interactive and enjoyable learning. This method is recommended as an alternative innovative learning strategy.
