Abstract

Tujuan dari program PKM ini adalah untuk (1) Meningkatkan pemahaman guru mengenai metodologi dan statistika khusunya Classroom Action Research (CAR), (2) Meningkatkan penguasan TIK dalam penguasaan software statistika, sitasi, dan plagiasi (3) Meningkatkan kemampuan mendiagnosis pemahaman peserta didik secara berkala (4) Meningkatkan penyusunan publikasi penelitian guru. Pelatihan CAR ini dilaksanakan bagi 42 guru SMA di Kecamatan Nisam. Pelaksanaan kegiatan dilaksanakan secara tatap muka dengan memperhatikan protokol Kesehatan dengan rincian tahap Pelatihan Metodologi CAR, Pelatihan statistika dan pengolahan data dalam CAR, Pelatihan penyusunan asesmen diagnostik berkala dan Workshop artikel ilmiah dan software pendukung artikel. Selama pelaksanaan pelatihan CAR guru mengikuti dengan antusias, hal ini dapat terlihat dari keaktifan guru dalam berdiskusi saat sesi tanya jawab dan menceritakan pengalaman mereka dalam hasil dari pelatihan ini guru memahami konsep penyusunan CAR, pengolahan data dalam CAR, menyusun asesmen diagnostik dan penggunaan software dalam penyusunan artikel ilmiah menerapkan CAR dikelas. Berdasarkan hasil angket peserta pelatihan sebanyak 90,48% merasa sangat puas, 80,95% sangat tertarik, 95,24% merasa sangat termotivasi dan 85,71% merasa sangat mampu untuk mengembangkan diri setelah pelatihan ini.

Abstract

The integration of Augmented Reality (AR) technology into educational media has the potential to enhance student engagement and understanding of abstract concepts. This study aimed to develop and evaluate the quality of AR-integrated learning media for teaching molecular structures in chemistry. Using the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) model, this research employed a systematic approach that encompassed five stages of development. The study was conducted with two eleventh-grade classes at a public high school (SMA Negeri 1 Lhokseumawe), involving 66 students as the subjects of the research. Expert validation of the developed media yielded a score of 88, which categorizes it as "Excellent." At the same time, student feedback on usability and engagement resulted in a score of 4.77 in the same category. These results indicate that the AR media is effective and well-received as a supplementary tool for learning molecular structures. The findings highlight the potential of AR technology to enhance conceptual understanding and improve learner satisfaction in the field of chemistry education. Future studies should explore its application across other topics and educational levels to further validate its efficacy and scalability.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the analysis of ICT needs in chemical learning in North Aceh Regency High School. The methods used in this study use qualitative descriptive. This study was conducted at 43 high schools located in North Aceh Regency. The subjects in this study were all high school teachers in North Aceh Regency who numbered 86 teachers who taught chemistry subjects. The data collection techniques were observation, interview and questionnaire. The results showed that as many as 25 teachers (29%) did not use and utilize ICT in the learning process, this is due to the lack of facilities and infrastructure that support the availability of ICT devices such as insufficient and adequate information availability, the unavailability of adequate LCDs, the unavailability of computers/computer laboratories (computers are only available for school administration activities), and obstacles that are often experienced, namely the difficulty of internet access and Unstable electricity. A total of 21 teachers (24%) do not understand how to use ICT in learning. A total of 40 teachers (47%) already used and utilize ICT in the learning process. Such as the use of power point slides, learning videos, animated videos, the internet, email and social media.

Abstract

Conceptual errors or misconceptions are individuals' perceptions that do not align with scientific concepts recognized by experts. This study aims to identify the misconceptions experienced by 11th-grade students on chemical equilibrium, assisted by the Certainty of Response Index (CRI) and utilizing the Discovery Learning model. The research employed an experimental method with a pre-experimental design. The population of this study comprised all 11th-grade students at MAS Syamsuddhuha, with the sample being a single class, namely XI IPA 3. The data collection instrument was a multiple-choice test accompanied by reasoning and a CRI scale, administered after the learning intervention. The analysis results indicated that 43.14% of the sample still experienced misconceptions. The types of misconceptions on chemical equilibrium concepts were as follows: dynamic equilibrium (33.33%), equilibrium constant for concentration (Kc) (46.30%), partial pressure constant (61.11%), the relationship between Kc and Kp (38.89%), degree of dissociation (33.33%), equilibrium shift according to Le Chatelier's principle (65.74%), and chemical equilibrium in industry (38.89%). The findings demonstrate that misconceptions persist among students regarding understanding chemical equilibrium concepts.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a valid and reliable assessment instrument to measure students' higher-order thinking skills in the context of acid-base chemistry. The research employed a Research and Development (RD) approach using the 4-D model, which includes the stages of Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The initial product was validated through expert judgment, evaluated for feasibility by chemistry teachers, and subjected to field testing. The study involved 200 twelfth-grade science students from SMAN Bireuen. Data collection techniques included interviews, questionnaires, and tests. Data collection instruments included interview guidelines, item validation sheets, feasibility evaluation forms, and multiple-choice questions with open-ended justifications. The research findings revealed that the material validation assessment obtained an average score of 47.5 ( 46.194), categorized as "very good." Similarly, the feasibility assessment achieved an average score of 72.5 ( 67.188), also falling within the "very good" category. A total of 30 test items from the trial were analyzed in terms of validity, reliability, difficulty level, discrimination index, and distractor effectiveness. Therefore, it can be concluded that the assessment instrument is appropriate for measuring higher-order thinking skills in the topic of acid-base chemistry.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze learning difficulties in relation to students' levels of conceptual understanding—categorized as conceptually understood, misconceptions, and lack of understanding—among 11th-grade science students (Grade XI MIPA) in the Teupah Barat District, specifically concerning the topic of hydrocarbons. A Two-Tier Multiple Choice diagnostic test was employed as the primary instrument. The study utilized a qualitative descriptive method. The population comprised all Grade XI MIPA students from senior high schools in the Teupah Barat District. The sample included 40 students from SMA Negeri 1 Teupah Barat and SMA Negeri 2 Teupah Barat, selected using purposive sampling techniques. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics to process and interpret the students' responses. The results indicate that the Two-Tier Multiple Choice diagnostic test was effective in identifying students' conceptual understanding and in uncovering alternative conceptions through dominant incorrect answer choices that diverged from scientifically accurate concepts.The findings reveal that among the participants, 64% demonstrated conceptual understanding, 23% exhibited misconceptions, and 13% showed a lack of understanding regarding the topic of hydrocarbons. These results highlight the diagnostic tool's utility in pinpointing areas where conceptual reinforcement is necessary to enhance students’ comprehension in chemistry education.

Abstract

Program merdeka belajar dianggap sebagai konsep revitalisasi dalam dunia pendidikan di Indonesia. Hasil analisis terhadap mitra guru SMA se-Aceh Utara ditemui permasalahan utama yaitu kurangnya minat dan keaktifan siswa dalam pembelajaran sehingga siswa dalam pembajaran cenderung pasif dan berdampak pada pencapaian kompetensi siswa. Permasalahan lainnya yaitu guru belum mengimplementasikan kurikulum merdeka dengan baik, dari tinjauan pelaksanaan proses belajar mengajar yang cenderung student-centered learning dan masih memberikan soal latihan atau tes kepada siswa sebagai tolok ukur keberhasilan pembelajaran. Pemberian materi mengenai kurikulum merdeka serta cara mengaplikasikannya dalam proses pembelajaran serta pelatihan dan pendampingan perencanaan Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) kepada guru dapat meningkatkan pemahaman guru terhadap implementasi kurikulum merdeka. Adapun target dari kegiatan ini diantaranya: 1) kemampuan guru dalam merancang projek selama proses pembelajaran meningkat, 2) minat dan keaktifan siswa dalam proses belajar mengajar tinggi, dan 3) jumlah bahan ajar yang menunjang P5 meningkat.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian quasy eksperiment desain dan menggunakan rancangan nonequivalent control group design. Populasi penelitian ini siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 3 Putra Bangsa dan sampel penelitian terdiri dari dua kelas yaitu X IPA 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan jumlah 25 siswa dan kelas X IPA 2 sebanyak 25 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan menggunakan purposive sampling yaitu teknik pengambilan sampel dengan pertimbangan tertentu. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan untuk menilai kemampuan literasi kimia menggunakan soal tes yang sudah diuji validitas, reliabilitas, tingkat kesukaran dan daya pembeda, sedangkan untuk menilai keterampilan proses sains digunakan lembar observasi. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis menggunakan bantuan program komputer SPSS. Hasil pengujian menggunakan independent sample t test diperoleh nilai sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 < 0,05. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh strategi POGIL terhadap literasi kimia dan kemampuan proses sains siswa pada materi ikatan kimia di SMA Negeri 3 Putra Bangsa Lhoksukon. Hasil analisis menunjukkan adanya pengaruh posistif strategi POGIL terhadap literasi kimia dan kemampuan proses sains siswa.

Abstract

Misconceptions that occur continuously and protracted can interfere with the learning process. Therefore, educators must be able to identify precisely the misconceptions that occur. This research was conducted to find out the implementation of four-tier diagnostic tests in analyzing the misconceptions of students in high school in North Aceh regency and understand the results of analysis of the comprehension level of learners' concepts, whether they Scientific conception, Lack of knowledge, and misconception. Four-tier diagnostic test instrument has been developed by adapting 4D models (Define, Design, Development and Disseminate). Through these steps, the four-tier diagnostic test instrument is produced that is valid through content validation with content-validity coefficient of 0.89 and an average aspect of 4.5 and includes an excellent category. On average, the overall profile of learners got 44.47% who Scientific conception, 44.03% Lack of knowledge and 11.50% who experienced misconceptions in acids and bases materials. The implication of this study is that educators can analyze scientific conception, lack of knowledge and misconceptions on acids and bases materials in learners, and use suitable learning methods so that the misconception is not repeated.

Abstract

One of the successes in the learning process can be seen from the learning outcomes of students. One of the factors that support this is external factors. External factors are factors that come from outside the learner, such as model variations. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is an influence of model variations in chemistry learning on chemistry learning outcomes in Lhokseumawe City. This research used a quantitative approach, the type of research was ex post facto, and the research design was regression. The population in this study was all students who were in Grade XI Science Senior High School, while the sampling technique in this study was cluster sampling, the sample taken was several students at Senior high schoolsenior high school. Questionnaire was used for data collection instruments. The questionnaire was created based on a Likert scale with 4 answers already available. Data testing using a non-parametric hypothesis test, namely an SPSS-assisted spearman rank correlation test. Based on the hypothesis test, a significant value model variation is obtained from 0.028 < 0.05. It can be concluded that there was a significant influence between the variations of model in chemistry learning on the results of learning chemistry.
