Abstract

This study aims to analyze student environmental literacy from the aspect of physical and ecological systems, social, cultural, and political systems, environmental Issues, multiple solutions to environmental issues, and citizen participation and action strategies. The research subjects were 70 students of chemistry education and physics education at Malikussaleh University which is taught by learning Project Based Learning (PjBL) integrated with STEM. Research results in the overall average environmental literacy ability of students are 74 by category good, there are 14 students with very good environmental literacy skills, 50 students in the good category, and 6 students in the sufficient category. If viewed from environmental literacy indicators obtain the average value of students who answer correctly different questions, namely physical and ecological systems by 80%, social, cultural, and political systems by 70%, environmental issues by 68.1%, multiple solutions to environmental issues of 58.58%, and citizen participation and action strategies namely 86.1%.

Abstract

As the spearhead of successful learning in the classroom, a prospective teacher must have qualified abilities and skills, teacher competence and teaching quality need to be ensured. One of the ways to measure the competence of prospective chemistry teachers is by using authentic assessments. This assessment can be done digitally through an authentic digital-based assessment with a project-based learning model. The model, research design and instrument development carried out in this study is an adaptation of the test preparation procedure with the following instrument preparation steps: (1) planning the test, (2) trying out the test, (3) establishing test validity, (4) establishing test reliability, (5) interpreting the score. In this study, there were three parameters studied, namely (1) Analysis of the needs of prospective teachers at school. (2) Preparation of authentic assessment instruments that have been developed based on validators, (3) Analysis of observing, inferring and predicting skills. Analysis of school needs is the basis for the preparation of authentic assessment instruments and models that are compiled. The results of the learning instruments that have been compiled and have been developed have excellent quality criteria with an average per aspect of 0.875 and are declared valid based on the assessment of material experts, media experts and peer reviewers. The validated instrument is then implemented where the Implementation Analysis on prospective teachers in the observing aspect gets a score of 3,374 including in the excellent category, as for inferring, it gets a score of 3,217 including in the good category, in the predicting aspect it gets a score of 3,553 including the excellent category, so that the average teacher candidate gets a score of 3,392 including the excellent category. Meanwhile, the affective instrument of students got a score of 3.22 on the persistence aspect and 3.16 on the attention aspect, both of which were in the good category. So that the average affective aspect of the participants got a score of 3.19 and was included in the good category

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kualitas media pembelajaran berbasis Android materi tata nama senyawa kimia mengetahui perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan kognitif siswa SMA yang menggunakan mediapembelajaran pembelajaran berbasis Android materi tata nama senyawa Kimia dengan pembelajaran menggunakan LKS. Metode yang diguankan dalam penelitian ini adalah  R&D  yang didaptasi model pengembangan Borg & Gall dan 4D. Hasil dari pengembangan media pembelajaran berbasis android pada materi tata nama senyawa menunjukkan bahwa media yang dikembangkan layak untuk diaplikasikan dan memiliki kualitas sangat baik, baik dari aspek materi ataupun media. Kemudian, media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan juga mampu meningkatkan Kemampuan Kognitif Siswa setelah diaplikasikan ke dalam pembelajaran. Hal ini terbukti dari hasil uji hipotesis yang menunjukkan adanya perbedaan peningkatan Kemampuan Kognitif Siswa yang menggunakan media yang dikembangkan dengan yang menggunakan LKS. Abstract: The purpose of this study was to determine the quality of Android-based learning media for chemical compound nomenclature material to know the differences in the cognitive ability enhancement of high school students who use Android-based learning media for chemical compound nomenclature materials by learning using LKS. The method used in this research is R&D adapted to the Borg & Gall and 4D development models. The results of the development of Android-based learning media on compound nomenclature material show that the media developed is feasible to be applied and has very good quality, both in terms of material and media aspects. Then, the learning media developed can also improve students' cognitive abilities after they are applied to learning. This is evident from the results of hypothesis testing which shows that there is a difference in the increase in students' cognitive abilities using developed media and those using LKS.

Abstract

Reflective-based interactive media in microteaching is a valuable tool for improving teaching and developing teacher professionalism. Through the use of digital technology and a structured process of reflection, teachers can more effectively identify weaknesses in their teaching practices and make necessary improvements. This research aims to develop interactive teaching materials in reflective microteaching learning to shape the professional character of prospective teachers. This research is development research using the ADDIE model which has 5 development stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, dan evaluation, Due to time constraints, this research is still limited to this stage development due to research limitations. The validation results from material and media experts stated that this teaching material was very valid with a percentage score of 95.09% and 96.25% respectively in the "very valid" category. The feasibility test was carried out by the lecturer in charge of the microteaching course with a result of 94.93% in the "very feasible" category. The student teacher response was 93.00% in the "very good" category. From this data, the media in the form of interactive microteaching teaching materials that have been developed can be used as media in microteaching courses and can help students identify deficiencies that need to be corrected in each teaching practice and for lecturers to make them available platform who helps with the learning process microteaching.

Abstract

Program merdeka belajar dianggap sebagai konsep revitalisasi dalam dunia pendidikan di Indonesia. Hasil analisis terhadap mitra guru SMA se-Aceh Utara ditemui permasalahan utama yaitu kurangnya minat dan keaktifan siswa dalam pembelajaran sehingga siswa dalam pembajaran cenderung pasif dan berdampak pada pencapaian kompetensi siswa. Permasalahan lainnya yaitu guru belum mengimplementasikan kurikulum merdeka dengan baik, dari tinjauan pelaksanaan proses belajar mengajar yang cenderung student-centered learning dan masih memberikan soal latihan atau tes kepada siswa sebagai tolok ukur keberhasilan pembelajaran. Pemberian materi mengenai kurikulum merdeka serta cara mengaplikasikannya dalam proses pembelajaran serta pelatihan dan pendampingan perencanaan Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) kepada guru dapat meningkatkan pemahaman guru terhadap implementasi kurikulum merdeka. Adapun target dari kegiatan ini diantaranya: 1) kemampuan guru dalam merancang projek selama proses pembelajaran meningkat, 2) minat dan keaktifan siswa dalam proses belajar mengajar tinggi, dan 3) jumlah bahan ajar yang menunjang P5 meningkat.

Abstract

The mentoring of teachers in the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum is a strategic step to ensure the success of educational reform in Indonesia. At MTs and MA Darul Falah, this mentoring includes planning, execution, and evaluation, focusing on enhancing teachers' competencies as well as applying innovative teaching strategies and methods. The main objective of this mentoring is to improve the understanding of teachers at MTs and MA Darul Falah regarding the principles and practices of the Merdeka Curriculum. This approach uses a qualitative method with observation and documentation study. Observations were conducted during face-to-face Forum Group Discussions (FGD) and during mentoring sessions at MTs and MA Darul Falah. The results of the mentoring show that teachers experienced an increase in their understanding and skills related to the Merdeka Curriculum. The service activities resulted in an average posttest score of 8.8, with an n-gain increase reaching 0.81, categorized as very good. Additionally, the mentoring was effective in creating Merdeka Curriculum administrative instruments, achieving a suitability rate of 87.5%. The high posttest scores indicate successful knowledge transfer, while the high satisfaction level of participants reflects strong approval of the training and mentoring provided. Active discussions and experience sharing during the activities allowed teachers to find joint solutions to learning challenges. It is hoped that this mentoring will prepare teachers at MTs and MA Darul Falah to prepare curriculum changes, enhance their motivation and confidence in teaching according to the Merdeka Curriculum, and foster collaboration and innovation in teaching practices.

Abstract

Pelatihan pengembangan video pembelajaran bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan guru dalam memanfaatkan teknologi untuk menciptakan pembelajaran yang lebih menarik dan efektif. Pengabdian ini melibatkan 32 guru kimia di Kabupaten Bireuen melalui metode pelatihan dan workshop. Kegiatan dimulai dengan wawancara untuk mengidentifikasi kebutuhan guru, dilanjutkan dengan pelatihan pembuatan dan pengeditan video pembelajaran, serta diakhiri dengan evaluasi hasil video yang dibuat. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada kemampuan guru dalam merancang, mengedit, dan menggunakan media video. Guru juga lebih percaya diri dalam memanfaatkan teknologi sebagai alat pengajaran. Video yang dihasilkan terbukti meningkatkan keterlibatan dan pemahaman siswa. Meskipun demikian, hambatan seperti akses perangkat terbatas dan keterbatasan waktu tetap menjadi tantangan. Oleh karena itu, dukungan berkelanjutan dari institusi pendidikan sangat diperlukan. Pelatihan ini menunjukkan bahwa penguasaan teknologi oleh guru dapat meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran di era digital.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of the Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, and Create (RADEC) model on the chemical literacy abilities of class XI students at SMA Negeri 7 Lhokseumawe through aspects of chemical literacy, namely aspects of context, knowledge, and competence. This research is Pre-Experimental Design research, carried out in the odd semester of the 2023/2024 academic year at SMA Negeri 7 Lhokseumawe. The subjects in this study consisted of 2 classes that took cross-interest chemistry lessons, namely classes XI-1 and XI-2, with 55 students. Sampling was carried out by purposive sampling. The data collection techniques and instruments used in this research were essay questions in the form of stories or literacy, totaling nine questions about reaction rate. The research results show that the t-test data on students' chemical literacy test learning outcomes has a sig. value. (2-tailed) 0.000 0.05, so H0 is rejected, and Ha is accepted. The conclusion is that the RADEC learning model influences the scientific literacy abilities of class XI students at SMAN 7 Lhokseumawe on the reaction rate material. The average value of the students' chemical literacy aspects is that the average value of the context aspect in the experimental class is 79.01, the knowledge aspect is 87.65, and the competency aspect is 60.49. The average value of the context aspect in the control class is 69.04, the knowledge aspect is 35.11, and the competency aspect is 45.83. The influence of chemical literacy abilities can be seen from the average value of students who use the RADEC learning model 76, with the good criterion being higher than students who use the conventional learning model, which is 50 with sufficient criteria.

Abstract

Abstrak Pendidikan merupakan pilar utama dalam kehidupan manusia saat ini, dimana setiap manusia dituntut untuk memiliki kemampuan dalam berpikir dan membangun kualitas yang baik sesama manusia terutama dalam daya saing.  Pengabdian ini mengatasi kelemahan pada literatur sebelumnya dengan merumuskan tiga tujuan khusus: 1) Menyediakan strategi pembelajaran berbasis videografi yang sesuai untuk diferensiasi; 2) Meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam menghasilkan konten videografi interaktif di MGMP Kimia Kabupaten Bireun; 3) Mengembangkan model evaluasi yang mengukur efektivitas videografi dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep kimia abstrak. Pengabdian ini dilakukan di Universitas Malikussaleh dan SMAN 1 Bireuen mulai dari September sampai November 2024. Adapun tahapan pengabdian menggunakan metode FGD (Focus Group Discussion) dalam sosisalisasi, pelatihan model project based learning dengan 3 pertemuan, penerapan pelatihan menggunakan strategi blended learning dan hybrid learning. Kemudian pendampingan yang dilakukan dalam 3 sesi menggunakan strategi blended learning dan yang terakhir adalah evaluasi untuk meninjau hasil pengabdian. Hasil yang didapatkan yaitu peserta MGMP mendapatkan respon positif dalam mempelajari seluruh materi pengaturan kamera hingga mampu mempraktikan secara langsung penggunaan kamera dalam pembelajaran diferensiasi. . Secara keseluruhan, penerapan pembelajaran digital berbasis videografi dalam Kurikulum Merdeka ini menunjukkan hasil yang positif, dengan tercapainya peningkatan kompetensi guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran yang adaptif dan relevan, serta mengoptimalkan pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep-konsep kimia yang abstrak. Kata kunci: kurikulum merdeka; pembelajaran digital; videografi. Abstract Education is a fundamental pillar in human life today, where every individual is required to possess the ability to think critically and build good quality relationships with others, especially in terms of competitiveness. This service addresses the gaps in previous literature by formulating three specific objectives: 1) To provide a videography-based learning strategy suitable for differentiation; 2) To enhance teachers' competence in producing interactive videography content within the MGMP Kimia in Kabupaten Bireun; 3) To develop an evaluation model that measures the effectiveness of videography in improving the understanding of abstract chemistry concepts. This community service program was conducted at Universitas Malikussaleh and SMAN 1 Bireuen from September to November 2024. The implementation stages followed a structured approach, starting with a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) for socialization, followed by training sessions on the Project-Based Learning model over three meetings. The training was implemented using blended learning and hybrid learning strategies. Subsequently, mentoring was conducted in three sessions utilizing a blended learning approach. Finally, an evaluation was carried out to assess the outcomes of the community service program. The results indicate that the MGMP participants received positive feedback while learning all aspects of camera settings, eventually being able to directly practice using the camera in differentiated learning. Overall, the implementation of videography-based digital learning in the Kurikulum Merdeka has shown positive results, with an increase in teachers' competence in managing adaptive and relevant learning and optimizing students' understanding of abstract chemistry concepts. Keywords: digital learning; kurikulum merdeka; videography.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini dilaksanakan di SDN 28 Sawang, Kabupaten Aceh Utara, bertujuan untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran melalui penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis digital dan penyusunan asesmen autentik. Permasalahan yang dihadapi mitra adalah kurangnya pemahaman guru mengenai kriteria dan pelaksanaan asesmen yang tepat, serta minimnya penguasaan terhadap aplikasi asesmen berbasis digital. Guru-guru juga mengalami kesulitan dalam menyusun instrumen asesmen autentik yang sesuai dengan karakteristik siswa. Untuk itu, kegiatan ini dirancang dalam beberapa tahapan yang meliputi pelatihan gaya belajar dan motivasi siswa, pembiasaan penggunaan media pembelajaran, serta workshop penyusunan aplikasi asesmen digital dan asesmen autentik.Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan ini menggunakan pendekatan In-service learning, yang menggabungkan teori dan pendampingan intensif. Pelatihan dilakukan dalam bentuk 4 tahap, yaitu: (1) Pengenalan gaya belajar dan motivasi, (2) Pendampingan penggunaan media pembelajaran, (3) Workshop penyusunan aplikasi asesmen berbasis digital, dan (4) Pendampingan penyusunan instrumen asesmen autentik. Proses evaluasi dilakukan melalui angket untuk mengukur kebermanfaatan kegiatan terhadap peningkatan keterampilan guru dalam menggunakan media dan teknologi dalam pembelajaran. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa guru-guru mendapatkan pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang penyusunan asesmen autentik yang praktis dan relevan dengan kebutuhan siswa. Selain itu, pemanfaatan media pembelajaran berbasis digital dan aplikasi asesmen memberikan dampak positif terhadap keterlibatan dan motivasi siswa dalam belajar. Dengan demikian, kegiatan ini berhasil meningkatkan keterampilan digital guru dan efektivitas pembelajaran di SDN 28 Sawang.
