Abstract

Poverty is not only caused by the low income of the husbands, but also because family members are not optimally empowered. LAZISMU is a national level zakat institution that is active in community empowerment. One of the targets of its activities is social and economic activities in the form of forming and coaching as well as funding community business groups. This community service program involved housewives and several young women in Kota Pekanbaru. This service is in the form of assistance to the participants so that they have knowledge about processing and varying the methods of processing fish commodities to become fish balls and nuggets. The participants were generally very interested in the training material for making meatballs and fish nuggets. All groups successfully finished making meatballs and fish nuggets with quite savory flavors.

Abstract

Striped catfish Pangasianodon hypophthalmus (Sauvage, 1878) has a high economic value and relatively fast growth, so that optimum stocking density and supplement of natural ingredients, such as Curcuma domestica Val., Kaempferia galanga Linn., and Curcuma xanthorriza Robx. can increase growth and immunity. This study aimed to obtain the optimum stocking density and herbal supplement dosage in feed to increase the growth and survival rates of striped catfish. An experimental method by applying factorial design was used, i.e. the dose and stocking density factors. The dosage of herbal supplements used were 100 mL kg-1 feed (D1), 200 mL kg-1 (D2) and 300 mL kg-1 (D3). Stocking density used was 50 m-3 (P1) and 75 m-3 (P2). The fish used were 8.5±0.5 cm long and weighed 7.5±0.3 g, kept in floating cages of 1 m x 1.5 m x 1 m. Fish maintenance was carried out for 60 days with feeding frequency of three times a day, as much as 10% of body weight. The results showed that the treatment of 200 mL kg-1 dosage and 75 m-3 stocking densities was the best treatment. This treatment showed that specific growth rate, absolute weight, absolute length and feed efficiency were 4.86%, 119.07 g, 15.45 cm, 82.93%, respectively. A supplement dose of 200 mL kg-1 in feed and stocking densities of 75 m-3 could increase growth rates, survival, and feed utilization efficiency of striped catfish. Abstrak Ikan jambal siam Pangasianodon hypophthalmus (Sauvage, 1878) memiliki nilai ekonomis tinggi dan pertumbuhan yang relatif cepat, sehingga dibutuhkan padat penebaran yang optimum dan suplemen pakan berbahan alami, seperti kunyit (Curcuma domestica Val), kencur (Kaempferia galanga, Linn) dan temulawak (Curcuma xanthorriza Robx) yang mampu meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan imunitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan padat tebar dan dosis suplemen herbal yang optimum dalam pakan terhadap peningkatkan laju pertumbuhan dan sintasan ikan jambal siam. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen dengan menerapkan Rancangan Faktorial, yakni faktor dosis dan padat tebar. Dosis suplemen herbal yang digunakan, yaitu 100 mL kg-1 pakan (D1), 200 mL kg-1 pakan (D2) dan 300 mL kg-1 pakan (D3). Padat tebar yang digunakan adalah 50 ekor m-3 (P1) dan 75 ekor m-3 (P2). Ikan jambal siam yang digunakan berukuran panjang 8,5±0,5 cm dan bobot 7,5±0,3 g, dipelihara di dalam keramba jaring apung berukuran 1 m x 1,5 m x 1 m. Pemeliharaan ikan dilakukan selama 60 hari, frekuensi pemberian pakan sebanyak tiga kali sehari, sebanyak 10% dari bobot tubuh. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa padat tebar dan dosis suplemen herbal yang optimum ditunjukkan oleh perlakuan dosis 200 mL kg-1 dan padat tebar 75 ekor m-3 menghasilkan laju pertumbuhan spesifik, bobot mutlak, dan panjang mutlak sebesar 4,86%, 119,07 g, dan 15,45 cm, serta dapat meningkatkan efisiensi pakan 82,93%. Disimpulkan bahwa dosis suplemen 200 mL kg-1 pada pakan dan padat tebar 75 ekor m-3 dapat meningkatkan laju pertumbuhan, sintasan, dan efisiensi pemanfaatan pakan.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the role of Woman Farmer Group (KWT) members and factors related to the role of KWT in actualizing Sungai Langka as an Agrotourism Village.  The research location was chosen purposively in Sungai Langka Village of Gedong Tataan Sub-district of Pesawaran Regency.  Respondents were 61 respondents using Proportional Random Sampling.  This research was conducted from January to February 2018.  Data analysis method used descriptive method with quantitative approach.  To answer the first purpose used descriptive analysis, and the second goal by using a quantitative approach of Rank Spearman analysis method.  The results indicated that the role level of KWT members in mini jackfruit planting and handicraft production is included in a low classification, the roles of KWT members in the manufacture of vegetable quoting galleries, fruit pickling and in Small and Medium Enterprises processing of agricultural products are included in medium classification, KWT in actualizing as Sungai Langka Agrotourism Village is generally included in the middle classification. Factors associated with the role of KWT members in actualizing the Agrotourism Village Sungai Langka are the motivation, cosmopolite character, and the level of knowledge.  Whereas, the age and level of education were not significantly related to the role of KWT members in actualizing Sungai Langka Village as the Agrotourism Village. Key words: agrotourism village, KWT members, role

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to find out: 1) the roles of Village Community Empowerment Workers(KPMD) in National Program of Autonomous Village Community Empowerment (PNPM-MP);2) communityparticipation levels in National Program of Autonomous Village Community Empowerment; and 3)correlation between the roles of the KPMD in the PNPM-MP and their participation. This research wasconducted from July to August 2012. Respondents were 12 Workers of Village Community Empowermentand 60 poor families taken by using disproportional stratified random sampling. This was a surveyresearch. The correlations between variables were tested by using Rank Spearman. The results showedthat: 1) level of the roles of the KPMD was in high category in facilitating village meetings, ensuring stepsin program activities, encouraging and ensuring program principles and policy implementations, followingmonthly meetings with Field Assistant, and encouraging community to participate in conducting activities.However, level of role of Village Community Empowerment Worker (KPMD) in disseminating andsocializing programs were in middle category; 2) the community participation level on planningdevelopment, making decision, monitoring, evaluating program activity, and taking advantages ofdevelopment results were in high category. However, the community participation level in the program werelow category and the community participation level in providing autonomous resources were low; 3) therewas a significant correlation between the roles of KPMD and community participation level in the PNPMMPprogram in Wonosobo sub district of Tanggamus Regency.

Abstract

Bakteri selulolitik merupakan bakteri yang memiliki kemampuan menghidrolisis kompleks selulosa menjadi oligosakarida yang lebih kecil dan akhirnya menjadi glukosa dimana bakteri selulolitik telah banyak dikaji potensinya dalam memproduksi enzim selulase yang telah dimanfaatkan dalam berbagai bidang, seperti pada bidang pertanian, perikanan, industri dan kedokteran . Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan miroba selulolitik, mengetahui waktu optimum produksi enzim selulolitik dan bagaimana kemampuan degradasi bakteri selulolitik terpilih terhadap serasah mangrove. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Februari sampai Juni 2019 di Laboratorium Mirobiologi Laut Fakultas Perikanan dan Kelautan Universitas Riau. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan metode survei dan dilanjutkan dengan analisis di laboratorium.  Data diperoleh melalui pengamatan dan pengukuran parameter lingkungan di lapangan, dan analisis sampel di laboratorium.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa isolasi, seleksi (Identifikasi mikroba pada sedimen hutan mangrove Stasiun Kelautan Dumai), diperoleh 24 isolat yang memiliki kemampuan tumbuh dalam media yang mengandung CMC dengan aktifitas seluloliti tertinggi terdapat pada isolat BS.ST2.8. Hasil karakteristik isolat bakteri selulolitik secara fenotip dan genotip diketahui bahwa ketiga isolat tersebut adalah B. toyonensis. Enzim selulase terbanyak dihasilkan oleh isolat bakteri BS.ST2.8 terjadi pada jam ke -78 setelah inkubasi. Dari hasil uji lebih lanjut dengan menggunakan beberapa dosis enzim selulase isolat BS.ST2.8 terhadap substrat serasah mangrove diketahui bahwa secara umum dapat mendegradasi serat kasar pada serasah mangrove pada dosis 50%  penurunan fraksi serat NDF, ADF, selulosa dan hemiselulosa.

Abstract

Penggunaan tumbuhan sebagai alternatif suplemen pakan memiliki kelebihan, salah satunya bersifat bio-degradable dan ramah lingkungan, serta mudah ditemukan di alam, seperti kunyit, temulawak, dan kencur. Tumbuhan ini bersifat antibakteri dan antimikroba, serta meningkatkan laju pertumbuhan dan sistem imun ikan. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui efektivitas dari penambahan suplemen herbal pada pakan buatan dalam meningkatkan laju pertumbuhan dan kelulushidupan ikan patin. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Juni s/d Agustus 2019, di Waduk Fakultas Perikanan dan Kelautan Universitas Riau, Pekanbaru. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen dengan menerapkan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan empat perlakuan, yaitu P0 (kontrol), P1 (dosis suplemen 100 mL/kg pakan), P2 (200 mL/kg), P3 (300 mL/kg). Ikan dipelihara dengan padat tebar 75 ekor/m3, panjang 7 cm dan bobot 6 g, serta dipelihara selama 60 hari. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian pakan buatan dengan penambahan suplemen herbal mampu meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan tingkat kelulushidupan ikan patin. Dosis pemberian suplemen herbal sebesar 200 mL/kg pakan menghasilkan laju pertumbuhan dan tingkat kelulushidupan ikan patin terbaik, menghasilkan pertumbuhan bobot mutlak sebesar 119,08 g, laju pertumbuhan spesifik 4,86%/hari, panjang mutlak 15,45 cm, konversi pakan 1,21, efisiensi pakan 82,93% dan tingkat kelulushidupan 100%. Kualitas air selama penelitian berada dalam kisaran yang mendukung untuk pertumbuhan ikan patin, yaitu suhu berkisar antara 26,9-30,2oC, oksigen terlarut berkisar antara 4,3-6,1 mg/L, dan pH berkisar antara 6,1-6.8.

Abstract

Floating cage (KJA) is one of the most intensive aquaculture activities carried out in the country and the number is increasing, including in the Koto Panjang Hydroelectric Lake, Kampar. In this area, this business has been started since 1995 and continues to grow rapidly and reaches its peak in 2010-2012. In the following years, the business began to be relatively stagnant and profits from entrepreneurs continued to decline. As a result, many entrepreneurs went bankrupt and closed businesses. With this background, the writer is interested in making a pilot business unit as a role model for the right business management pattern for KJA businesses. This community service activity aims to help fish cage entrepreneurs in business management through direct examples of similar businesses. The counselling and coaching methods used are demonstrations through direct pilot and informal communication with fostered entrepreneurs. This role model began to be built since 2010, starting from 6 cage units, the business is growing and currently, there are 60 cage units. However, more intensive coaching activities have been carried out since 2012. A total of 5 entrepreneurs were targeted as the main target. As a result of these 5 entrepreneurs, several other entrepreneurs have begun to imitate the business management patterns applied in the role model and they are still able to survive and start a new step in developing the business.

Abstract

Sungai Kayu Ara Village, Siak Regency, Riau Province is a coastal village. The main livelihoods of the people in this village are farming, fishermen and breeders. Pellets and concentrate feed have been used by the community as fish and livestock feed. But the high price of this feed makes this business less profitable. Azolla microphylla as fish feed and livestock has been introduced in Indonesia. This community service activity aims to train coastal communities of A. microphylla cultivation techniques which will later be used as fish feed and other livestock. This activity was carried out with the following stages; 1) Location survey, group formation and coordination. 2) Get off to the field and prepare sites for training. 3) Training of growing substrate fermentation techniques A. microphylla. 3) Training to prepare A. microphylla growing containers. 4) Cultivation training of A. microphylla. 5) Harvesting and giving A. microphylla to livestock. 6) Monitoring and evaluating the results of the trainings. A group of cultivators of A. microphylla has been formed and training has also been carried out with the students of the 2018 UNRI LPPM KKN participants in this village. This group named "SUKARELA" stands for the Sungai Kayu Ara Pemelihara Azolla with 30 members. Initial monitoring results in the second, third and fourth weeks after training showed that these macrophytes can grow well. Some members have enlarged the maintenance container in the form of maintenance tanks.

Abstract

The purpose of this researched was to analize the consistency of organic material and sediment fraction on estuary in dumai river. The research was with purposive sampling on four stutions. The analysis of sediment fraction in estuary in dumai river had been dominated by mud substract. The result mean size wened very fine sand, of consistency organic material is ranging 7,37 - 24,01 mg/l. The result sorting value wered poorly kurtosis value were ektremly leptokurtic, and skewness dominant value were negative. Difference of fine grafain and type of sediment on estuary in Dumai River had effect by physics and chemical factor

Abstract

Desa Koto Mesjid terletak di Kecamatan XIII Koto Kampar Provinsi Riau, memiliki kolam kurang lebih 776 unit dengan produksi ikan patin 5-7 ton/hari. Adapun tujuan kegiatan pengabdian di desa ini adalah 1. memberikan pengetahuan dan praktek tentang pembuatan jamu fermentasi, 2. menjelaskan manfaat dari jamu fermentasi tersebut dalam meningkatkan produksi ikan budidaya. Kegiatan ini bermitra dengan kelompok Perikanan Angkasa Fishery, yang merupakan salah satu kelompok pembudidaya ikan patin yang ada di desa tersebut. Metode kegiatan pengabdian yang dilakukan adalah menyampaikan materi secara ceramah dan diskusi, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan praktek pembuatan jamu fermentasi serta cara pemberian pakan ditambah jamu fermentasi ke ikan. Kegiatan pemeliharaan ikan selama dua bulan dilakukan bersama anggota Perikanan Angkasa Fishery. Pemeliharaan benih ikan patin berukuran rata-rata berat 8-11gram untuk percontohan dilakukan dalam keramba jarring berukuran 1,5 x 1 x 1m yang ditancapkan dalam kolam sebanyak 4 unit, masing-masing unit dimasukan 150 ekor. Ikan diberi pakan pellet yang ditambahkan jamu fermentasi sebanyak 200mL/kg pakan, pemberian pakan dilakukan tiga kali sehari sebanyak 10% dari berat populasi. Hasil kegiatan ini didapatkan informasi bahwa anggota kelompok rata-rata berpendidikan SMA dan rata-rata berusia 35,4th. Selama satu bulan pemeliharaan ikan sudah menunjukkan peningkatan pertumbuhan yang tinggi, yakni dengan berat rata-rata 50-60/ekor atau telah mencapai berat mutlak 50gram, sedangkan pada ikan yang tidak diberi jamu fermentasi dengan masa pemeliharaan yang sama baru mencapai 30-40g.
