Abstract

The Purpose of conducting this research is to find out the relationship between mathematics learning and metacognition instruction based on Malay culture. In this study, using a descriptive research strategy, namely describing and explaining field variables based on existing literature (literature review). The results and discussion are that learning mathematics accompanied by metacognition instructions in Malay culture can be associated with reciprocating rhymes in Malay culture. This link is based on metacognition itself guiding in the right direction by asking questions that can lead, explore, and generalize. While reciprocating rhymes that provide a goal as a role model.  Based on metacognition that guides in directing questions from leading, exploring and generalizing combined with rhymes in order to get the desired learning objectives.So that learning mathematics accompanied by metacognition instructions can be associated with reciprocating rhymes in Malay culture.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of the AI ​​(Artificial Intelligence) learning system in facilitating interactive learning in junior high schools. In this research, the design that will be used is quantitative research. The research method used is quasi-experiment with a design of two groups of cases and controls. Research location at SMP Negeri 1 Beringin, Beringin District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra Province. The research results show that the use of AI learning systems in interactive learning in junior high schools has significant effectiveness. AI learning systems are able to provide a more interesting and interactive learning experience for students, as well as encouraging active participation in the learning process. Additionally, AI learning systems also provide fast and accurate feedback to students, allowing them to improve their understanding and performance immediately. However, this research also found several factors that need to be considered in implementing AI learning systems in junior high schools. These factors include the availability of adequate technological infrastructure, adequate teacher training in using AI learning systems, as well as strong support from the school and related stakeholders. In conclusion, this research shows that AI learning systems have the potential to increase the effectiveness of interactive learning in junior high schools. However, successful implementation requires cooperation between schools, teachers, students and related stakeholders. It is hoped that the results of this research can become a reference for the development of AI learning systems in the education sector.

Abstract

The introduction of number tree learning media in early childhood is an activity that utilizes number tree media in order to introduce the concept of numbers to early childhood. The aim of using this learning media is to introduce the concept of numbers based on children's understanding of the numbers 1-10 by showing the numbers in the numbers, asking children to order the numbers 1-10 and then join in attaching the correct order to the number tree. This number tree learning media can help children introduce the concept of numbers 1-10 with an attractive appearance. The development aspects that are easily seen are the motor and sensory development aspects. Aspects of motor development are easy to see because they are related to children's physical activity. Sensory ability is a process that refers to the child's brain's ability to receive, interpret, or reason and use information obtained through the five senses, which is characterized by the activity of showing, repeating what has been seen and heard. The sensory and motor development of each individual is not the same, this can be caused by genetic and environmental factors. This research was conducted by RA- Islam Nur Medan on Monday 31 July 2023. The activity in carrying out this service was the use of number trees to introduce numbers and addition to develop students' motor and sensory abilities. By paying attention to children's motor and sensory development, parents and teachers can help to develop children's motor and sensory development by providing media that supports children's development while playing where children are fully involved in play activities, besides that teachers can design thematic-based activities and utilize media as a tools to facilitate activities and physical activities carried out.

Abstract

The ability to understand mathematical concepts is the central part that leads to mastery of other mathematical concepts. There are still many students who cannot use concepts because they think mathematics is very difficult. This is why understanding concepts is prioritized over memorizing formulas. Students succeed in understanding mathematical concepts due to various things, one of which is caused by teachers who contribute and influence learning activities regarding students' understanding of mathematical concepts. The Discovery learning model is a learning theory which is defined as a learning process that occurs when students are not presented with lessons in their final form, but are expected to organize them themselves. Based on the results of individual assessment tests during the learning process, there was an increase from diagnostic tests, namely 50% to 69.23% in cycle I, and increased to 88.46% in cycle II. This proves that indirectly the use of the Discovery learning learning model in the material on systems of linear equations in two variables (SPLDV) has increased quite significantly.

Abstract

Abstrak : Pemahaman aljabar memegang peran sentral dalam pembelajaran matematika, terutama di tingkat sekolah menengah pertama (SMP). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan kesalahpahaman siswa dalam memecahkan masalah yang terkait dengan operasi bentuk aljabar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif, dengan subjek penelitian berupa siswa kelas VII-1 di MTs Al-Ikhlasiyah Sei Buluh. Soal tes digunakan sebagai alat untuk mengevaluasi pemahaman siswa terhadap operasi bentuk aljabar. Hasil penelitian mengindikasikan bahwa siswa sering melakukan kesalahan dalam berbagai aspek, seperti penyederhanaan dalam eskpresi aljabar, penanganan variabel pada aljabar, penyelesaian persamaan aljabar yang meliputi operasi aljabar, penggantian variabel pada aljabar dan penyelesaian pecahan pada aljabar. Temuan ini menyoroti pentingnya pemahaman yang mendalam terhadap konsep aljabar dan menekankan kebutuhan akan pendekatan pembelajaran yang efektif untuk membantu siswa mengatasi kesulitan dalam bidang ini. Kata Kunci: Analisis Miskonsepsi, Operasi Bentuk Aljabar, Deskriptif Kualitatif

Abstract

Researchers conducted research that aims to find out the problems faced by students when learning mathematics, which are the factors that cause errors in solving math problems. This error factor must be known so that it is easier to get solutions and parts that need to be emphasized during learning. This research is a qualitative descriptive study to analyze and describe the types of mistakes students make when working on cube and block math questions. The subjects of this study were 30 students of SMP Al Washliyah 8 Medan in class VIII-A. The written test is a data collection technique. The results of the student error analysis obtained: 1) 66.67% conceptual errors with a "high" error standard; 2) 33.34 % of procedural errors with a "very low" error standard; This leads to the conclusion that students' understanding of the cube and block material is low, and the teacher must pay attention to knowledge, emphasizing the important parts that students use. Based on the results of interviews with teachers in the field of study that "student mathematics here is in the low class, because almost 75% of students here do not like mathematics, they think mathematics is a difficult lesson to understand" I asked: "What causes students here to dislike mathematics thuk?” the teacher answered: "The reason students don't like math is when I explain math with formulas, at first they understand, but after I give questions or exercises with the formula but it's just a different location, students are immediately confused about doing it, students here understand formulas but can't apply them. the formula".

Abstract

Proses belajar mengajar dapat membangkitkan keinginan dan minat yang baru, membangkitkan motivasi dan rangsangan kegiatan belajar dan bahkan membawa pengaruh-pengaruh psikologis terhadap siswa. Penggunaan media pembelajaran pada tahap orientasi pengajaran yang akan sangat membantu keefektifan proses pembelajaran dan penyampaian pesan dan isi pelajaran pada saat itu. Penelitian dengan metode peneltian ini kualitatif deskriftive akan dilaksanakan di Mts Mu’allimin Univa Medan kota medan dengan dua sampel nilai pretest dan postest. Dengan satu kelas 32 orang siswa dan dilakukan selama 2 bulan dari oktober sampai dengan November 2023. Analisis descriftif dalam uji Normalitas dengan penelitian ini pretest dan postest nilai siswa – siswi Mts mu’allimin Univa medan. Hasil analisis nilai kelas dengan uji normalitas dengan uji pretest dan postest di mts mu’allimin univa medan, nilai prestest signifikannya pretest 056 nilai postest 043, dengan masing – masing kelas jumlah mean kelas prestest 76,69 mean kelas postest 85,25.Keterlibatan siswa – siswi belajar siswa perlu memperhatikan pembelajaran yang berwawasan kontruktivitis. Siswa – siswi aktif dalam belajarnya sehingga siswa – siswi fokus dalam menemukan konsep yang dipelajari. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan, didapatkan nilai rata-rata pre-test siswa adalah 76,69 sedangkan nilai post-test siswa adalah 85,25. Hasil tersebut menyatakan bahwa npre-test<npost-test,. Berdasarkan perhitungan tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa, terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan hasil belajar siswa sebelum dan setelah mengikuti pembelajaran Matematika.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is (1) to determine the validity, practicality and effectiveness  of Student Worksheets with the developed PBL Model (2) To find out how Student Worksheets (LKPD) with the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by Canva can improve the mathematical literacy skills of grade VIII students of SMPS Al washliyah 8 Medan. This research method is research development (Research and Development) using the ADDIE model. The subject of this study is a grade VIII student of SMP Al washliyah 8 medan for the 2023/2024 academic year. The learning LKPD developed has met the criteria of validity, practicality and effectiveness. Reviewed for validity, the average value of total LKPD validation was 4.42 (very valid), then the total validity of RPP was 4.47 (very valid) and as well as mathematical literacy ability tests, student response questionnaires and practical questionnaires were declared valid. Judging from practicality: the average value of practicality from trial I from teachers was 82% (practical) and student responses were 81.83% (practical). In trial II from teachers by 95% (practical) and student responses 86.83 (practical). Judging from effectiveness, with the student worksheet (LKPD) developed, the average score increased from test I of 71.43 to 89.28 in trial II.

Abstract

The community service program partners are students from Alwashliyah 8 Medan Middle School. The background is the law regarding the flag, language and national symbols, as well as the national anthem. The red and white flag, the Indonesian language Garuda Pancasila, and the national anthem Indonesia Raya are the national identity and identity of the unitary Republic of Indonesia. These four symbols are a reflection of the country's sovereignty in relations with other countries. The main target in this activity is the implementation of Law N0. 24 of 2009 for students at SMP Alwashliyah 8 Medan with the theme "Implementation of Law No: 24 of 2009 concerning the Flag, Language and National Emblem, and the National Anthem." The delivery method uses kahoot learning media and lectures conducted by lecturers and students of the Indonesian Language Education Study Program, FKIP, Alwashliyah University, Medan. The results achieved from this service program are (1) The unified state flag of the Republic of Indonesia, hereinafter referred to as the state flag, is the red and white. (2) The language used for generations by Indonesian citizens in areas within the territory of the unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. (3) The symbol of the unitary state of the Republic of Indonesia, hereinafter referred to as the State Emblem, is the Garuda. Pancasila with the motto Bhinneka Tunggal Ika. and finally (4) Introducing in detail the national anthem. In this activity, students as partners were introduced to the implementation or implementation activities of Law no. 24 of 2009 Flag, Language and National Emblem, as well as the National Anthem (Indonesian national anthem).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menciptakan e-modul yang menggunakan pendekatan problem based learning untuk meningkatkan kemampuan computational thinking dalam konteks budaya batak Simalungun. Penelitian ini menerapkan model ADDIE untuk merancang dan mengembangkan e -modul. Berdasarkan seluruh penelitian dari ahli materi dan ahli media dinyatakan bahwa e- modul yang di kembangkan dinyatakan valid dengan presentase 98% (dosen 1), 89% (dosen 2), dan 92% (guru matematika). E-modul yang dikembangkan dinyatakan praktis di lihat dari angket kepraktisan guru sebesar 93,8% dan angket kepraktisan siswa sebesar 93,8%. E-Modul yang dikembangkan dinyatakan efektif di lihat dari ketuntusan belajar siswa yaitu sebesar 87,8%. Dan peningkatan kemampuan computational thinking pada budaya batak simalungun dengan menggunakan e-modul berbasis problem-based learning yang dikembangkan, nilai presentase nya sebesar 87,8%.
