This research is based on facts about the field of learning and the current state of physical education which still tends to use traditional approaches. The traditional learning process tends to make students bored and less enthusiastic about participating in the learning process. This research was conducted to determine the contribution of the tactical approach to students' playing skills. This research uses experimental methods to study it. This research design is pre-experimental, a design in which only one group or class is given pre- and post-tests. The student subjects who will be involved are high school students in the Bandung City area who take part in basketball extracurriculars. The results of the analysis prove that tactical approach learning in basketball learning activities has a significant effect on students' playing performance.

Physical education (PE) is a pivotal domain, offering students valuable opportunities for excelling in multiple sports performances when harmonized with contemporary curricula that emphasize cognitive engagement through intrinsic motivation. This blend has the potential to enhance not only softball skills but also performance across various sports. This study investigated the relationship between intrinsic motivation (interest, enjoyment, and personal challenge) and fundamental softball performance skills among 30 active students (F = 15; M = 15) enrolled in the Indonesian University of Education’s physical education program. It employed an ex post facto research design and quantitative method, utilizing the Sport Motivation Scale (SMS) (0.779 > 0.05) and O’Donnell Softball Test (0.701 > 0.05), both instruments demonstrated good reliability and validity. Results from data analysis in IBM SPSS 25.0, reveal that interest and enjoyment moderately correlate but lack of significant impact softball skills. However, personal challenge shows a strong positive correlation with interest and enjoyment. Although personal challenge does not directly influence softball skills, it plays a crucial role in fostering interest and enjoyment in sports. Understanding intrinsic motivation's impact on skill development can inform effective teaching methods and encourage greater engagement in physical activities for improved overall well-being. This research provides insights for educators and coaches to design learning experiences that incorporate challenges and promote intrinsic motivation, enhancing students’ engagement and skill development in physical education activities. Future research could explore intrinsic motivation's impact on softball skills across diverse skill levels, considering factors like the learning environment, individual differences, and coaching styles for optimized skill development.

ABSTRACT This research aims to see an overview of the table tennis playing skills of PJKR FPOK UPI students. The method in this research is ex post facto, with all 24 students taking table tennis courses as respondents. Respondents have conducted 12 lecture meetings with table tennis learning material and a playing skills learning activity that lasts two hours in each session. The results of this research show that 46% of students' backhand strokes in the profile of students' table tennis playing skills are in the very good category, and 4% are still in the poor category, while for forehand strokes in students' table tennis playing skills 21% are in the very good category. However, there are still 13% of respondents in the poor category; of course, this is a serious concern to be able to overcome this problem. The conclusion is that the backhand stroke in the profile of students' table tennis playing skills for backhand and forehand strokes falls into the very good category. The importance of understanding biomechanics in sports, particularly in running activities, significantly contributes to improving athletes' techniques and performance. This study aims to analyze the 1000-meter running motion of athletes from the Sportyjoy Club in Cimahi City through a sports biomechanics review. The study employs a descriptive analytical method with a one-shot case study design. Kinematic data were obtained from video recordings analyzed using Kinovea software (version 2023.2.1). The study sample comprised 10 middle-distance athletes aged 11–14 years selected through purposive sampling. The results showed that the athletes' average running speed was 3.88 ± 0.68 m/s, with a maximum speed of 5.00 m/s and a minimum speed of 2.87 m/s. The average stance phase duration was 0.21 ± 0.05 seconds, while the swing phase lasted an average of 0.32 ± 0.09 seconds. Biomechanical parameters such as arm flexion angle (57.25 ± 9.69⁰) and knee height (0.45 ± 0.06 m) were also analyzed to evaluate running efficiency. Based on physical fitness assessments, 2 athletes were categorized as very good, 4 as good, 1 as fairly good, and 3 as poor. This study demonstrates that running efficiency is influenced by the stance and swing phases, arm flexion angles, and knee height. Therefore, coaches and athletes can use these findings to improve running techniques, enhance performance, and reduce injury risk through a biomechanical approach
