Abstract

Produktivitas kacang hijau menurut data BPS Sumatera Utara tahun 2021 sejak tahun 2019 hingga 2021 mengalami penurunan yaitu dengan rata-rata 2,52%. Penyebab menurunnya produktivitas kacang hijau salah satunya adalah terjadinya serangan hama thrips. Salah satu alternatif yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengatasai serangan hama thrips adalah menggunakan pestisida nabati. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian pestisida nabati kombinasi serai dan kenikir terhadap hama thrips pada pertumbuhan vegetatif tanaman kacang hijau serta untuk mengetahui konsentrasi paling efektif dari penggunaan pestisida nabati. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) Non Faktorial, yaitu konsentrasi (P0 = kontrol ; P1 = 100 ml ekstrak serai dan kenikir/L air; P2 = 200 ml ekstrak serai dan kenikir/L air; P3 = 300 ml ekstrak serai dan kenikir/L air). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan P3(300 ml/L) berpengaruh sangat nyata pada intensitas serangan sebesar 14,91%, persentase serangan sebesar 25,35% dan indeks luas daun sebesar 0,46cm. Adapun pada setiap perlakuan P0,P1,P2,P3 tidak berpengaruh nyata pada tinggi tanaman dan kadar klorofil daun.

Abstract

Penerapan bimbingan belajar di sekolah dasar telah menjadi solusi penting dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap pelajaran, terutama pada mata pelajaran matematika yang sering dianggap sulit oleh siswa. Program Bergembira dengan Matematika (BERGEMA) dilaksanakan di MIS Al-Ihsan Pematang Panjang oleh tim KKN MBKM FMIPA ULM sebagai bentuk kontribusi untuk membantu siswa yang kesulitan dalam memahami materi matematika. Program ini dilakukan di luar jam pelajaran sekolah dengan metode yang interaktif dan menyenangkan. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan peningkatan partisipasi siswa dan perbaikan pemahaman mereka terhadap materi. Berdasarkan data, jumlah peserta terus meningkat dari minggu pertama hingga minggu ketiga. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa bimbingan belajar memberikan dampak positif bagi siswa, baik dari segi motivasi belajar maupun hasil akademis.

Abstract

Kecombrang fruit is used by the community as a food ingredient but actually the skin of this kecombrang fruit can be used as a mouthwash for the development of dental caries. This study aims to evaluate the preparation of mouthwash formulations with the addition of kecombrang fruit peel extract. The work procedure starts from extraction, phytochemical testing, antimicrobial testing of extracts, and evaluation of mouthwash preparations. The results contained secondary metabolites in the form of alkaloids, fla-vonoids, tannins, and saponins. Evaluation of mouthwash preparation with pH test is 5.0-5.6, organoleptic test which does not change significantly, viscosity test at 20% and 30% concentration is 1.0193 cP and 1.0061 cP, and antimicrobial test with inhibi-tion diameter on Streptococcus mutans and Candida albicans is 11.3 mm and 11.1 mm. In conclusion, mouthwash with added extracts can inhibit the growth of microbes that cause mouth ulcers and tooth decay.

Abstract

Learning is a system consisting of several interrelated components (goals, materials, methods, learning evaluation). These components must be adjusted in the process of making a learning implementation plan. Students are guided to build their knowledge independently so that they can easily master the material obtained at school and then apply their knowledge in real life.  This research aims to develop an Electronic Student Worksheet (E-LKPD) based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) on the human respiratory system, with a focus on improving students' critical thinking patterns at SMA Negeri 5 Tanjung Balai City. The method used in this research is the 4-D model developed by Thiagarajan, which consists of four stages: Define, Design, Develop, and Dissemination. The research results showed that the developed E-LKPD received a very good feasibility assessment, with a percentage of 96.8% from material experts, 96.25% from media experts, and 96.6% from practitioner experts. From these results, it can be concluded that the PBL-based E-LKPD developed is valid, practical and effective for use in the learning process. It is hoped that this e-LKPD can increase student learning activities and help teachers convey material in a more interesting and interactive way.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a valid encyclopedia of vertebrate biodiversity and to receive positive responses from students and teachers at SMA Swasta Gajah Mada Medan. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the Borg & Gall development model, which consists of 10 stages. The results show that media experts rated this product at 90%, categorized as "Highly valid." Material experts provided a rating of 93.75%, also categorized as "Highly valid." A limited product trial involving 20 students from class X MIA resulted in an N-Gain score of 0.65, classified as moderate. In a large-scale field trial, an N-Gain score of 0.61 was obtained, also classified as moderate. In conclusion, the vertebrate material encyclopedia is valid and suitable for use by students as a learning resource, as it has received positive evaluations. Abstract

This study aims to describe the extent to which the use of speech recognition technology to train Arabic speaking skills of class X and class XI students of MAN 2 Payakumbuh. This study uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive type. The subjects of this study were all students of MAN 2 Payakumbuh who had difficulty speaking Arabic. The objects of this study were students of class X and class XI MAN 2 Payakumbuh who had trouble speaking Arabic. Data were collected through field observations, filling out questionnaires, collecting questionnaires via Google Forms, and other related documents. The data collected were processed using SPSS and the ANOVA test. The results of this study indicate that the use of speech recognition technology to train Arabic speaking skills has great potential in improving the communication of class X and class XI students of MAN 2 Payakumbuh. With this technology, students can train their Arabic speaking skills to be better because speech recognition technology can analyze specific weaknesses in speaking, and provide training that focuses on certain areas. Through instant application responses and regular practice, students' Arabic speaking skills can be improved to be more active and effective.

Abstract

Liver injury can be caused by coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), characterized by increased levels of transaminase enzymes (aspartate aminotransferase/AST and alanine aminotransferase/ALT). Objective: To determined the correlation between transaminase enzyme levels and the severity of COVID-19 in Dr. M. Djamil Central Public Hospital, Padang. Methods: This was an observational analytic study with a cross-sectional design. Data were obtained randomly from medical records of confirmed COVID-19 patients hospitalized in Dr. M. Djamil Hospital from June to August 2021, with moderate, severe, and critical severity based on Indonesian Ministry of Health criteria. Data were analyzed using the Chi-square test to examine the distribution and correlation between variables and a simple logistic regression test to assess the level of risk between variables. Results: 57,80% had abnormal AST, and 44,95% had abnormal ALT. The median AST was highest in the critical group, while the median ALT was highest in the severe group. The distribution of sex and age group were significantly different based on AST and ALT levels, and the distribution of patients with coronary heart disease was significantly different based on ALT levels. Transaminase enzyme levels had a significant correlation with the severity of COVID-19 (p-value = 0,00). Patients with critical degrees had the highest risk for abnormal AST and severe degrees had the highest risk for abnormal ALT. Conclusion: Transaminase enzymes have a significant correlation with the severity of COVID-19.Keywords:  COVID-19, liver injury, transaminases, disease severity

Abstract

Tumbuhan paku merupakan tumbuhan rendah berpembluh yang sangat banyak ditemukan di Hutan Sibayak II Sumatra Utara, tetapi keanekaragamannya masih belum terdata dengan baik, sehingga perlu dilakukan penelitian secara lebih rinci. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis – jenis tumbuhan paku (Pteridophyta), Indeks keanekaragaman dan kelimpahan jenis pakis Pteridophyta di Hutan Sibayak II, Sumatera Utara. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik kuadrat dengan 15 plot dan 3 transek. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 32 spesies pakis berbeda telah ditemukan, termasuk Cyathea contaminans (Wall. Ex Hook.) Copel., Nepherolepis diksonioides Christ, Diplazium dilatatum Blume, Goniophlebium percussum (Cav.) Wagner & Grether, Christella subpubescens (Blume) Holttum, Vittaria ensiformis Sw., Humata repens (L.f.) J. small ex Dieis, Pyrrosia lingua (Thunb.) Farw, Asplenium nidus L., Ctenopteris mollicoma (Nees & Blume) Kunze, Angiopteris arborescens (Blanco) Merr., Diplazium poliferum (Lam.) Kaulf., Lindsaeaa lucida Blume, Lepisorus spicatus (L.f.) Abstract

Aloe vera is a tropical plant with significant potential to develop into a promising agricultural sector in Indonesia. To achieve high-quality Aloe vera harvests, it is important to pay attention to several growth conditions, especially plant care such as fertilization. This study aims to determine the effect of Photosynthetic Bacteria (PSB) fertilizer application and the effective dosage of PSB fertilizer for the growth of Aloe vera using vertical farming techniques. This research used a Non-Factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD), with treatment factors including: no application of PSB fertilizer (P0), PSB 5 ml/l (P1), PSB 15 ml/l (P2), and PSB 30 ml/l (P3). The research involved several stages of observation, including plant height, number of leaves, leaf width, leaf thickness, and root volume. The observed data were analyzed using ANOVA with the help of SPSS 26. If the ANOVA test showed a significant effect, further analysis was carried out using Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT). The results showed that the application of PSB fertilizer had an effect on plant height (22.8 cm), leaf width (2.76 cm), number of leaves (7 leaves), leaf thickness (8.91 cm), and root volume (4 cm³). The best average treatment result for Aloe vera growth was obtained at a dosage of 15 ml/l (P2), indicating that Photosynthetic Bacteria (PSB) fertilizer at a dosage of 15 ml/l (P2) was sufficient to supply the necessary nutrients for the growth of Aloe vera.

Abstract

This research discusses environmental impact analysis (AMDAL) as an effort to prevent pollution and damage to the environment. Environmental problems are an undeniable issue both in Indonesia and in the world. Technological developments, the industrial world and population growth have an influence on environmental problems that affect the carrying capacity and capacity of the environment. Activities that have potential to damage the environment must require permits so that activities do not threaten the environment. This research aims to determine AMDAL as an effort to prevent pollution and damage to the environment. This type of research is a library method or library research, which is a form of activity relating to methods of collecting library data, reading and taking notes and processing research materials whether sourced from books, journals or statutory regulations.
