Abstract

Abstract: This study examines the empowerment of women entrepreneurs in micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the coastal tourist areas of Tulungagung Regency through marketing communication training. Women's empowerment is crucial for enhancing local community welfare and regional economic development. Women play a vital role in MSMEs in the tourism sector, especially in micro, small, and medium enterprises. Through training and mentoring, women can improve their managerial and marketing skills, positively impacting economic and social welfare. The study's findings indicate that marketing communication training enhances women's capacity to manage businesses, boosts their confidence, and expands their markets through digital technology. However, MSMEs in this area face challenges such as limited capital, market access, and technical skills. Sustainable empowerment programs and support from the government and non-governmental organizations are essential to overcome these barriers. This study suggests a holistic approach that includes training, technology access, and collaboration among various stakeholders to create an ecosystem that supports MSME growth. Thus, empowering women entrepreneurs in MSMEs can significantly contribute to economic and social development in the coastal tourist areas of Tulungagung Regency. Kata Kunci: Kesenjangan Sosial, Kemiskinan, Ageing Household, Kesejahteraan Abstract: Poverty and social inequality are still a problem in Indonesia, including the elderly in remote areas. In this study, the authors raise the issue of elderly people who experience injustice in the socio-economic field in remote areas, namely in Cilincing, South Middle East and Gorontalo. The theory that the writer uses is Rawls's theory of contract theory or often called The Original Position. Furthermore, the authors also use development theory according to Meter and Horn, they divide five variables that influence the implementation of social development, namely (1) Policy standards and objectives (2) Resources (3) Communication between members and strengthening activation (4) Characteristics of implementing agents and (5) Social, economic and political conditions. This research uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques of literature studies. The causes of the problem of poverty and social inequality among the elderly include remoteness and underdevelopment, limited ability to access various basic social services due to social disability, disability, neglect, social unrest, and social conflict. Socio-economic welfare problems are still characterized by problems that are conventional in nature and need to be handled jointly by the government, the community, social organizations and non-governmental organizations. Abstract

Kata kunci: eco agrotomation, keberlanjutan, sirkular ekonomi, tanggung jawab sosial perusahaan Abstract: This study aims to investigate the impacts of the Eco Agrotomation Program in creating a circular economy at PT Bukit Asam Tbk, a State-Owned Enterprise (SOE) in the coal mining sector. The research methodology involves qualitative and quantitative analysis obtained from a case study of the Eco Agrotomation program implemented by PT Bukit Asam Tbk. The data encompass evaluations of the economic, social, and environmental impacts of the program, from both the company's and the local community's perspectives. The findings indicate that the Eco Agrotomation Program has successfully created a circular economy for PT Bukit Asam Tbk through four means: (1) sustainable waste management, (2) efficient resource utilization, (3) collaboration and system development, and (4) community empowerment. The implementation of automation systems has increased water usage efficiency by 30%, reducing water consumption from 238,680 liters per year to 183,600 liters per year. Moreover, the utilization of mine acid water and conveyor belt waste has reduced water footprint and mining rubber waste by 90,000 liters and 200 kg per year, respectively. On the other hand, the use of Solar Power Plants (PLTS) has generated electricity of 10.08 kWh per day, equivalent to cost savings of Rp 5,080,320 per year. These initiatives have increased incomes of vulnerable community up to Rp 3,500,000 per month, equivalent to the Regional Minimum Wage. However, the lack of integration of coal end-product recycling in this program presents potential for further development to create a broader and more sustainable economic cycle. Abstract

This study examines the role of the Religious Education Teachers’ Training Programme as a forum attended by religious education teachers who wish to develop their subject knowledge and be aware of the current aims of religious education. The study examined the effectiveness of this programme in improving teachers’ knowledge of their subject. The training programme was offered every working day for one hour after the end of the teaching and learning process in the form of a lecture followed by a question and answer session. The study material covered eight Islamic sciences, namely the principles of religion (usūl al-dīn), the branches of religion (furū’ al-dīn), exegesis (tafsīr), hadith, Arabic grammar, eschatology, Sufi sciences and moral sciences. Constraints in the implementation of the religious teacher training programme were lack of interest on the part of teachers, who were either unwilling or too busy to attend, while others had other commitments. Efforts were made to overcome these obstacles by adhering to a strict timetable and reminding teachers of the benefits of this programme, in addition to a paid allowance for the extra time.

Abstract

This article was written as a note in responding to the mainstreaming of religious moderation in Indonesia by examining the dynamics and challenges in the midst of social change in the digital era. This research used literature study. The findings of this research showed that religious expressions shown by adherents of religions cannot be avoided from the tendency to come into contact with digital technology. Religious people, in turn, come into contact with contradictory of digital cultures that give rise to fragmentation and contestation. Moderation campaigns in the digital space to sow messages of peace between religions are now faced with the phenomenon of religious disruption, especially in the digital space. This phenomenon clearly has social implications for social harmony because the scale does not only occur at the internal level of religious communities but also between religious communities. This study recommends revitalizing digital literacy the idea of religious moderation as a process of forming awareness of religious moderation in Indonesian society in the era of digital society.

Abstract

The fishermen's wife community in Messah Island is known to be very consumptive. They spend most of their income on lifestyle even though they have not been able to meet their basic needs. This study seeks to see how consumptive behavior in the fishermen's wife community can be entrenched, as well as its various implications. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. Data collection was carried out by in-depth interviews, while the informants were determined purposively. As a result, the consumerism of the fishermen's wife community in Messah Island is driven by internal and external factors. Internal factors that shape consumptive behavior refer to the high desire to be different from others and the low quality of human resources in managing assets and finances. Meanwhile, the external factors that shape consumptive behavior refer to the ease of access to consumer goods and credit, as well as the consumptive social environment. The consumptive lifestyle of the fishermen's wife community has implications for the practice of exploitation of natural and human resources, the low quality of life that is not comparable to the productivity of fishery products, and the confinement of fishing communities in a culture of poverty that forces them to be in the same condition.

Abstract

Abstract: The practice of cartels is a type of practice that is prohibited in Law no. 5 of 1999 concerning Antimonopoly, because it is an agreement that aims to dominate the market, by regulating the production and/or marketing of goods and/or services, and may result in monopolistic practices and unfair business competition in that market. If relevant, the practice of cartels is included in the form of syirkah (cooperation) in muamalah fiqh. However, based on sharia business law, the practice of cartels is different from syirkah (cooperation) according to Islamic law, because the ultimate goal of cartel practices is to set prices for certain products and limit the availability of products in the business competition market, resulting in unfair and unfair competition. for other companies, and to benefit members who are involved in the practice of the cartel, which is against the rules in the Qur'an and Al-hadith based on the word of Allah. Abstract

This study examines the performance of PT Bukit Asam’s Social and Environmental Responsibility programs across three pillars—health and nutrition, education, and empowerment and gender—and assesses how far they reinforce one another in support of SDGs 2, 3, 4, and 8. The approach is descriptive–comparative across programs and time (2023–first half of 2025). Analysis relies on annual summaries per program and concise derived measures: service density (beneficiaries per service point), library coverage (schools, students, and teachers engaged), women’s participation (share of female members), and emissions intensity per service point. The strongest synergies arise when programs operate in the same places, calendars are aligned, and common success metrics are used. This pattern appears in the flow from mobile health clinics to supplementary feeding and stunting management (PMT–Stunting); in school-based eye screening delivered alongside the mobile library; in schools serving as hubs to diffuse SIBA (Sentra Industri Bukit Asam) knowledge and products; and in reduced travel and emissions when service routes are combined. Trends from 2023 to the first half of 2025 indicate maintained or rising reach on several components, while shifts in education facility composition and fluctuations in estimated emissions warrant continued monitoring. Practically, the study proposes a shared cross-program metric set—percentage of locations receiving two complementary services, share of participants progressing from screening to the next intervention, time from screening to enrollment, library coverage, women’s participation and per-member productivity in SIBA, and emissions intensity per service point—for decision-making and routine monitoring. This study has limitations related to data availability (2025 covers only the first half), the absence of population size by area for adjusted comparisons, and year-to-year differences in certain indicator definitions. These conditions call for standardizing indicator definitions, completing key variables, and coordinating schedules and sites so cross-pillar benefits become more measurable and cumulative.

Abstract

Abstract. Batik industry is one of the leading industries in Indonesia. Since UNESCO declared batik as one of the cultural treasures and identity of the Indonesian nation, batik production has increased in line with increasing market demand. One of the rapidly growing batik industries in Indonesia is the batik industry located in Lawean Village, Solo, Central Java. The industry uses a putting out system where batik workers do their work in their respective house production. Through this system, business owners no longer need to compile an environmental impact analysis, provide social security for workers, pay overtime, work space, and work equipment. However, this putting out system creates many problems, from environmental pollution, deprivation of social rights for workers, to exploitation of workers by business owners. This study aims to reveal forms of injustice to workers in the home batik industry, Lawean, Solo, Central Java through a constructivism (critical) approach. Primary data obtained through in-depth interviews on 14 research subjects and also supported by secondary data from previous studies. Determination of informants is done by using the snowball technique. The theory used in this study is the theory of power relations by Michael Foucault. The dominance of power that leads to injustice (exploitation), cannot be separated from the presence of persuasive power (the owner of the batik business who controls the workers) in the midst of the Lawean Batik Industry. This dominance of power occurs because of the inequality of intelligence and mastery of information technology between batik business owners and workers. Batik business owners have access/network to sell batik products both domestically and abroad, while workers do not have access/network to sell batik they produce directly. On the other hand, the "ewuh-pakewuh" culture that is embraced by the Lewean community further exacerbates this domination. Keywords: batik, home industry, exploitation, power relationAbstrak.
