Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan sikap peduli sosial di SD Negeri 6 Pekanbaru, ditinjau dari sikap salam, sapa, dan senyum yang diterapkan oleh siswa di lingkungan sekolah. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas tinggi, yaitu kelas IV dan V. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi dan wawancara. Observasi dan wawancara yang dilakukan bersifat tidak terstruktur, sehingga tidak menggunakan instrumen yang baku, melainkan hanya berpedoman pada indikator dan sikap salam, sapa, dan senyum. Untuk wawancara, peneliti mengambil 30 peserta didik, yaitu 15 peserta didik kelas IV dan 15 peserta didik kelas V. Hasil data yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa sebagian peserta didik sudah memiliki kepedulian sosial yang cukup tinggi terhadap lingkungannya. Hal ini ditunjukkan melalui beberapa perilaku sosial yang mereka lakukan dengan ikhlas tanpa mengharapkan imbalan apa pun.

Abstract

Artikel ini menjelaskan bagaimana mendeskripsikan nilai karakter komunikatif yang terdapat dalam tradisi basiacuong di Kecamatan Bangkinang, Kabupaten Kampar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu dengan melakukan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat nilai karakter komunikatif pada tradisi basiacuong. Adapun bentuk nilai karakter komunikatif yang terdapat dalam tradisi basiacuong yaitu (1) sikap saling menghargai pendapat dengan cara mendengarkan dengan seksama pendapat orang lain serta tidak merasa bahwa dirinya paling benar; (2) saling memberikan dukungan kepada teman dengan memberikan penilaian positif serta menggunakan kalimat yang mengandung nilai kasih sayang saat berkomunikasi; (3) mau berbagi dengan orang lain dengan berbagi ilmu, pendapat, maupun ide yang dimiliki; (4) bermusyawarah untuk memecahkan masalah dengan melakukan perundingan-perundingan untuk mengatasi persoalan; (5) mengutamakan kepentingan bersama dengan menjalankan tugas sebagai pemangku adat dengan penuh tanggung jawab; (6) sikap demokratis dengan melakukan musyawarah dan menghasilkan mufakat; (7) gotong royong dengan menyampaikan ide dan pendapat yang dimiliki untuk mencapai tujuan bersama; dan (8) kerja sama dalam kelompok saat pemangku adat bersama-sama saling membantu agar tujuan kegiatan yang dilaksanakan dapat tercapai.

Abstract

Artikel ini menjelaskan tentang sebuah studi penelitian tindakan kelas. Artikel ini menunjukkan bagaimana siswa dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar mata pelajaran IPS melalui aplikasi model Quantum Teaching. Latar belakang penelitian dalam artikel ini dilihat dari rendahnya hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas V SD Negeri 29 Pekanbaru. Dari 37 orang siswa hanya 6 orang siswa (16.22%) yang mencapai KKM dan 31 orang siswa (83.78%) yang tidak mencapai KKM dengan nilai rata-rata kelas 55.35. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) Kolaboratif yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPS melalui penerapan model Quantum Teaching pada siswa kelas V SD Negeri 29 Pekanbaru. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan sebanyak dua siklus dan setiap siklus terdiri dari dua kali pertemuan kegiatan pembelajaran dan satu kali ulangan harian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model Quantum Teaching dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPS. Hal ini terbukti nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh siswa setiap siklus mengalami peningkatan. Dari skor dasar ke ulangan harian I yaitu rata-rata 55.35 menjadi 74.59. Lalu ulangan harian II meningkat menjadi 82.02. Aktivitas guru dalam penerapan model Quantum Teaching mengalami peningkatan pada siklus I pertemuan I 62.5% meningkat pertemuan II menjadi 79.16%, lalu pada siklus II pertemuan I 83.33% meningkat pertemuan II menjadi 91.66%. Aktivitas siswa dalam penerapan model Quantum Teaching mengalami peningkatan pada siklus I pertemuan I 58.33% meningkat pertemuan II menjadi 62.5%, lalu pada siklus II pertemuan I 79.16% meningkat pertemuan II menjadi 87.5%. Hasil penelitian di kelas V SD Negeri 29 Pekanbaru membuktikan bahwa penerapan model Quantum Teaching dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPS.

Abstract

This article examines the types of errors made by fifth-grade elementary school students in solving mixed integer arithmetic operations. Previous research indicated a high frequency of errors in this learning material, prompting the need for an in-depth analysis. This study employs a qualitative research design, using question-form tests, interviews, and documentation as instruments. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results reveal that students’ errors consisted of 54% conceptual errors, 28% arithmetic errors, and 18% mixed errors. These findings highlight the need for teachers and prospective teachers to address and prevent recurring mistakes in teaching mixed integer arithmetic operations.

Abstract

This was a qualitative research aiming to describe the role of teachers in SBdP learning at the fifth grade of elementary schools in Cluster One, Kecamatan Tampan, Pekanbaru. The data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation. The instruments used were observation sheets and interview guides referring to indicators of teachers’ roles in learning, and these instruments were validated by experts or validators. The subjects of this study were four fifth-grade teachers from elementary schools in Cluster One, Kecamatan Tampan. The findings showed that teachers performed their roles in SBdP learning well, although the implementation was not yet optimal. In the indicator of the teacher as a demonstrator, teachers presented SBdP materials both theoretically and practically. In the indicator of the teacher as a class manager, teachers conducted SBdP learning thematically and applied a scientific approach. Furthermore, in the indicator of the teacher as a mediator, teachers used pianics, pictures in student books, as well as audiovisual media such as the song “Gugur Bunga” and a video of the human circulatory system. In the indicator of the teacher as a facilitator, teachers utilized thematic printed books, worksheet books, and national compulsory song books as learning resources. Finally, in the indicator of the teacher as an evaluator, teachers had not yet implemented quizzes, portfolios, or project-based assessments, but they did carry out an assessment process.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the achievement of the pedagogical competence of group II elementary school teachers in Kecamatan Batang Peranap, Indragiri Hulu. This study involved 59 elementary school teachers and utilized descriptive quantitative method. To collect the data, the researchers utilized a questionnaire consisting of 40 positive and negative statements. Then, the data obtained were analyzed by using descriptive statistical techniques. The results of the study showed that the pedagogical ability of group II elementary school teachers in Kecamatan Batang Peranap, Indragiri Hulu was classified as high with an achievement percentage of 85.37%.

Abstract

Interactive Learning Media (ILM) has been developed to represent the base of number concepts into a more interactive and meaningful learning experience. The first design of ILM is a computer-supported multimedia tool that explores number concepts within existing conceptual frameworks. Pre-service elementary teachers should be provided with learning that can optimize their understanding of number concepts. To collect and analyze data comprehensively, researchers employed the 4D development model, which includes the stages of define, design, develop, and disseminate. This 4D development model was used to describe the ILM comprehensively. Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that ILM effectively improved pre-service teachers’ conceptual understanding and facilitated independent learning about number concepts.

Abstract

This research was condected in Kampung Rempak Kabupaten Siak where tenun Siak development area existed during the royal era. Tenun Siak cloth is one of the cultural products of its society that was made and worn by royal family. During the time, Tenun Siak cloth is not only worn by royal family but also by public society other than the royal society with its forms and motives. The objective of the research is to understand of Tenun Siak cloth related to motives, ascesorier and function change and meaning of Tenun Siak cloth pertaining to the user, social status on the society. The research appleied qualitative approach by following method develoved by Milles and Humberman. Data was collected by applying field reseach to the Tenun Siak clocth. Data also being collected from informen, the Siak cloth weaver, traditional expert, headvillagers and the capable men of the village. Informen were determiend by purposive based on necessities. For data validity, it is important to apply checking trustworthiness technic, subtitutive, dependecy and accuracy.The research finds that there has been any change to the Tenun Siak cloth, the product change. Motives and colors are now more varied, as well as form compared to the royal era, it also happens to the use, Tenun Siak cloth is not only for royal family but it is also worn by people in general, in anytime and at any place. Besides, the change also happens to the done tativec conotative meaning and symbol of the Tenun Siak cloth. The change found due to internal change to the weaver by economic motive as well as external change by the use of tool sets and also communication along with technology.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the awareness of the importance of applying basic skills to manage classes for deaf students who are not as appropriate. This results in deaf students not being able to get the optimal learning process. This research method uses a qualitative approach with descriptive method. Descriptive learning research aims to find out the application of basic teaching skills in managing classes of deaf students in Extraordinary Elementary Schools. The study was conducted in two classes, namely, the low class and high class with the research subject is the low and high-class teachers. The research data is obtained from observing the teacher's skills in managing the class and interviews with related sources. The results of the study are that the application of basic teaching skills in managing classes for deaf students has been carried out in accordance with the components of classroom management even though they have not met all the indicators of observation. Classroom arrangement has also supported a more optimal classroom management process. Based on the results of these studies, it can be concluded that the implementation of basic teaching skills in managing the class of deaf students at the Extraordinary Elementary School of Love for Pekanbaru Pekanbaru has been done quite well.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low level of students’ narrative essay writing skills. Several factors contributed to this condition, including students’ low interest and boredom in writing activities, limited vocabulary mastery, difficulties in word choice and spelling, and inadequate use of punctuation. As a result, students’ essays tended to be very simple, generally consisting of only one to two sentences, and lacked coherence between sentences, which prevented the formation of well-structured paragraphs. Students also experienced confusion in using punctuation marks such as periods, commas, question marks, and exclamation points correctly. This study aimed to determine the effect of using flash card media on the narrative essay writing skills of third-grade students at SDN 188 Pekanbaru. The research employed a quasi-experimental method using a nonequivalent control group design. The population of this study consisted of third-grade students at SDN 188 Pekanbaru, with Class IIIA (40 students) as the control group and Class IIIB (40 students) as the experimental group. The sampling technique used was saturated sampling. The research instrument was an essay test in the form of a narrative writing assignment. Hypothesis testing was conducted using the t-test and Effect Size (ES) analysis. The results showed that the use of flash card media had a significant effect on students’ narrative writing skills, with the magnitude of the effect categorized as medium.
