Abstract

Latar Belakang: Secara global, nasional dan daerah kasus DBD masi tergolong tinggi. Penelitian ini berfokus di Puskesmas Lampulo Kota Banda Aceh, terdapat peningkatan signifikan kasus DBD dalam dua tahun terakhir. Penanggulangan yang dapat dilakukan oleh keluarga untuk mengurangi risiko DBD dengan menerapkan pencegahan 3M Plus.penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan perilaku keluarga dalam pencegahan DBD di Puskesmas Lampulo Kota Banda Aceh Tahun 2023.Metode: Menggunakan metode deskriptif analitik dengan rancangan cross-sectional. Tehnik pengambilan sampel menggunakan Accidental Sampling sebanyak 98 Kartu Keluarga (KK).Hasil: Analisis univariat menunjukkan keluarga yang kurang melakukan pencegahan DBD lebih besar (66,3%). Hasil analisis bivariat menyatakan ada hubungan antara tingkat pendidikan (p-value=0,016), akses terhadap sumber informasi (p-value=0,050), dan peran petugas kesehatan (p-value=0,002) dengan perilaku keluarga dalam pencegahan DBD.Kesimpulan: Peran petugas kesehatan terbukti sangat penting dalam memengaruhi perilaku pencegahan DBD keluarga, menyoroti pentingnya keterlibatan mereka dalam mendukung upaya pencegahan penyakit ini.

Abstract

Penggunaan media sosial yang semakin intensif di kalangan remaja generasi Z dapat berdampak signifikan terhadap kesehatan mental mereka, terutama dalam hal kecemasan, kecemasan merupakan bagian dari kondisi hidup Menurut Barlow kecemasan berhubungan dengan konsep diri atau kepribadian, ciri atau sifat ini mengacu pada disposisi untuk bertindak dengan penuh minat dengan beberapa keselarasan dari waktu ke waktu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi hubungan antara penggunaan akses media sosial dan kecemasan pada remaja generasi Z di Kota Meulaboh. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode studi eksplorasi, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan 10 informan yang dipilih secara purposif. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada 6 hingga 8 Agustus 2024, dan dianalisis menggunakan metode analisis tematik. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa penggunaan media sosial berdampak signifikan terhadap kecemasan remaja. Tekanan untuk mengikuti tren (fear of missing out/FOMO), kecemasan akibat konten viral, serta ketergantungan terhadap media sosial menjadi faktor penyebab utama kecemasan. Selain itu, informan juga melaporkan adanya gangguan tidur dan penurunan produktivitas akibat penggunaan media sosial yang berlebihan. Meskipun sebagian besar informan tidak mengalami cyberbullying secara langsung, mereka menyaksikan peristiwa tersebut dan merasakan dampak negatif pada kesehatan mental mereka. Remaja mengatasi kecemasan dengan berbagai strategi, seperti memutus akses media sosial untuk sementara waktu (puasa sosmed), mengurangi notifikasi, dan berfokus pada aktivitas lain seperti olahraga. Namun, kesadaran terhadap kesehatan mental di kalangan remaja Meulaboh masih terbatas, sehingga diperlukan edukasi media sosial dan peran petugas kesehatan masyarakat dalam mengadvokasi kebijakan yang mendukung kesehatan mental remaja.

Abstract

Demam berdarah dengue (DBD) merupakan salah satu masalah kesehatan masyarakat yang penting di Indonesia. Perilaku pencegahan DBD di masyarakat menjadi kunci utama dalam mengendalikan penyakit ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan perilaku pencegahan DBD pada masyarakat di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Batoh Kota Banda Aceh Tahun 2024. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif analitik dengan desain cross-sectional, populasi sebanyak 9.007 KK, teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode random sampling sebanyak 100 responden, penelitian dilakukan pada tanggal 18 s.d 26 Mei Tahun 2024. Analisis data mengunakan Uji chi square dengan SPSS versi 21. Hasil penelitian secara univariat menunjukkan bahwa 51,0% yang pengetahuan kurang baik, 55,0% sikap negatif, 50,% yang tidak terpapar iklan dan 50,% yang terpapar iklan berpengaruh. Secara bivariat bahwa ada hubungan yang signifikan antara pengetahuan (p value = 0,005), sikap (p value = 0,007), sumber informasi (p value = 0,002) dengan perilaku pencegahan demam berdarah dengue (DBD) pada masyarakat di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Batoh Kota Banda Aceh Tahun 2024. Kesimpulan adalah variabel pengetahuan, sikap, sumber informasi menjadi faktor yang berhubungan dengan perilaku pencegahan demam berdarah dengue (DBD) pada masyarakat di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Batoh Kota Banda Aceh Tahun 2024.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: ISPA sering disebabkan oleh lingkungan buruk, gaya hidup tidak sehat, dan infeksi mikroorganisme. Kasus ISPA di Kecamatan Darul Imarah, Aceh Besar, cukup tinggi dan berpotensi menjadi KLB. Penelitian ini menganalisis risiko kualitas udara rumah terhadap ISPA berulang pada anak.Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain Case-Control 1:1 dengan 20 kasus ISPA berulang dan 20 kontrol, total 40 responden. Sampel diambil dengan total sampling, data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dan observasi selama 32 hari, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji Chi-square dan Odds Ratio (OR) pada tingkat signifikansi 95%.Hasil: Hasil menunjukkan 57% rumah memiliki ventilasi memenuhi syarat, 55% suhu tidak memenuhi syarat, 82% kelembaban tidak memenuhi syarat, 62% terpapar asap rokok, dan 50% menggunakan obat anti nyamuk.Ventilasi rumah (p=0,004; OR=7,429), suhu (p=0,001; OR=9,333), dan paparan asap rokok (p=0,016; OR=16,714) berhubungan signifikan dengan ISPA berulang. Sebaliknya, kelembaban (p=0,677) dan penggunaan obat anti nyamuk (p=0,527) tidak menunjukkan hubungan signifikan.Kesimpulan: Ventilasi buruk, suhu tidak sesuai, dan asap rokok berpengaruh signifikan terhadap ISPA berulang. Disarankan perbaikan ventilasi, pengurangan asap rokok, dan edukasi dari Puskesmas tentang pencegahan ISPA.

Abstract

Background: Hypertension is a global issue since its prevalence increased  in line with  changes in  lifestyle, especially in dietary patterns and low physical activity. In Indonesia, “the Healthy Living Movement” or “Gerakan Masyarakat Hidup Sehat” (GERMAS) Program which was launched in 2016 consists of seven pillars including physical activity, consumption of fruits and vegetables, no smoking, no alcohol, early detection of disease, environmental health, and latrines usage. The aim of this study is to analyze the relationship between GERMAS Program and hypertension control among patients in Lhoknga Primary Health Care (PHC) in Aceh Besar, Indonesia. Method: This study is a cross-sectional, with the subjects  of 60 patients with hypertension in Lhoknga PHC, chosen by proportional sampling. Data were collected by interview and observation of blood pressure patients between 8 March and 26 March 2021. Data were analyzed univariate and bivariate using chi-square with significance p0.05. Results: The results show relationship between physical activity (p=0.019), consumption of fruits and vegetables (p=0.001), no smoking (p=0.038), routine health check (p=0.001), and hypertension control. Recommendation: Health workers in PHC are suggested to educate the community including patients with hypertension about GERMAS Program and support them in starting and maintaining a healthy living movement. Massive health education and socialization about GERMAS through various  media are also essential social marketing in improving health in the community.

Abstract

Background: Hypertension remains a major public health problem globally. This disease is also one of the public health challenges in Indonesia. One of the health programs to promote health and maintaining controlled blood pressure among patients with hypertension is by optimizing the utilization of “the Chronic Disease Management Program” or “Program Pengelolaan Penyakit Kronis (Prolanis)”, and one of the interventions is exercise activities. This study aims to analyze factors associated with participation in the Prolanis exercise program and its impact on participants’ blood pressure. Method: This study uses a cross-sectional design with  a sample of 106 patients with hypertension in two Community Health Centers (Puskesmas Lhoknga and Puskesmas Darul Imarah Aceh Besar). Data were collected by interview and observation of blood pressure. Data were analyzed univariate and bivariate using chi-square with significance p0.05 and unpaired t-test. Results: Chi-square analysis shows the relationship between knowledge (p-value:0.034), positive attitude (p-value 0.011), family support (p-value:0.018), self-motivation (p-value:0.022), health worker roles (p-value:0.032), and participation of Prolanis exercise program. Meanwhile, unpaired t-test analysis shows significant differences  betweenmean values of blood pressure among patients with hypertension who participated and not participated in Prolanis exercise program. Recommendation: The Prolanis Exercise program has a significance impact in controlling blood pressure in hypertensive patients. It is recommended that health workers and health promotion staffs  at Community Health Centers to promote and maintain the implementation of Prolanis exercise program, as well as support patients to join and actively participate in the program.

Abstract

Background: Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is a condition of progressive and permanent decline of kidney function resulting in various diseases. CKD patients may be at risk of their lives if they do not undergo periodic hemodialysis or kidney transplantation to replace severely damaged kidneys. The aim of this study is to analyze the Factors Influencing the Quality of Life of Patients Using Hemodialysis Therapy at Tgk Chik Ditiro Sigli Hospital in 2020. Method: This research is descriptive with a cross-sectional approach using a questionnaire as the data collection instrument. The study population consists of all patients undergoing Hemodialysis at Tgk Chik Ditiro Sigli Hospital in 2020. The sample consisted of 60 patients using total sampling technique. Data collection was conducted in November 2020. The quality of life assessment questionnaire used was the WHOQOL-BREF. Results: There is a relationship between self-efficacy (p value 0.040), motivation (p value 0.001), family support (p value 0.006), anxiety (p value 0.000) and the quality of life of hemodialysis patients. Recommendations: Pidie District Government may facilitate improvement of self-efficacy. self-motivation. and reduce the level of anxiety among patients. The Pidie District Health Office may implement socialization regarding kidney disease prevention efforts. Tgk Chik Ditiro Sigli Hospital may to provide excellent care in improving the quality of life of patients using hemodialysis therapy.

Abstract

Background: Hypertension is one of the non-communicable diseases suffered by a large number of people worldwide. Globally, it is estimated that 1.28 billion adults suffer from hypertension. The prevalence of hypertension is increasing, especially among those aged 60 and above.  Self-management is one of the strategies for managing blood pressure in elderly with hypertension. This study aims to explore the relationship between age, gender, education, marital status, knowledge, family support, and self-management behavior among hypertensive patients at Lhoknga Primary Health Care, Aceh Besar District. Method: This study used a descriptive-analytic approach with a cross-sectional design. The study population included 510 hypertensive patients at Lhoknga Primary Health Care, Aceh Besar District. A sample of 85 individuals was selected using purposive sampling. Results: The study findings indicate a relationship between family support (p=0.012) and knowledge (p=0.001) with self-management behavior among hypertensive patients. However, no significant associations were found between the level of education (p=0.560), age (p=1.000), sex (p=0.756), comorbidities (p=0.805), and marital status (p=0.258) with self-management behavior among hypertensive patients. Recommendation: The findings of this study could serve as a basis for healthcare providers at primary healthcare centers to enhance education regarding self-management for hypertensive patients and their families, thereby increasing their awareness and motivation to implement hypertension self-management.

Abstract

Background: The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted the decline in human quality of life across various aspects. The direct impact of the COVID-19 pandemic is evident in the health aspect, such as the high number of positive cases and deaths due to COVID-19. One of the groups considered vulnerable to Coronavirus infection is smokers.  This research aims to understand the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on smoking habits and changes in smoking patterns, as well as smoking behavior (cigarette consumption, smoking areas, access, and ease of purchasing cigarettes) during the COVID-19 pandemic in Aceh. Method: This research employs descriptive analytics using a Cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique used in this study is Convenience/Accidental sampling with a sample of 255 respondents. The instrument used was an online survey in Google Form format distributed through WhatsApp, and the data were analyzed using Univariate analysis. Results: The survey indicates that concerning the intention to quit smoking, 22% of respondents stated that during the COVID-19 period, they had already tried to quit smoking, and another 48% of respondents intended to quit, although they had not succeeded yet. Based on the  number of cigarettes consumed, 54% of respondents had reduced smoking, and 26% of respondents intended to reduce but found it challenging. Regarding respondents' knowledge about cigarettes and COVID-19, 90% of respondents had good to fairly good knowledge about preventing the spread of COVID-19, 69% of respondents had received information from various media, with the majority receiving information from social media and print media. Concerning access to purchasing cigarettes, 77% of respondents directly purchased from stalls, shops, or local stores, and the majority bought cigarettes every day or every 2-3 days. In terms of respondents' perceptions of cigarettes and COVID-19, 22% of respondents stated that cigarettes were a risk factor for COVID-19, 1% considered cigarettes to be a protective factor, and 77% were undecided. Conclusion: The survey indicates a change in the  number of cigarettes consumed by respondents before and after the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, there is a need to  maximize of health promotion related to cigarettes and COVID-19, as well as strengthened the implementation of smoke-free areas (KTR - Kawasan Tanpa Rokok) and smoke-free homes. Consistent implementation of smoke-free areas is expected to improve public health, especially in controlling the risk factors for diseases and deaths caused by smoking and enhancing a healthy and clean living culture within society.

Abstract

Improvement of awareness and participation of the community regarding waste management is carried out through efforts in increasing knowledge, facilitating and enabling community to manage waste independently. Therefore, the community will be empowered in building a healthy and sustainable environment. Community service activities was implemented in February 2020 including health education regarding waste management and workshop related to waste sorting practices as well as composting activity using organic waste/household waste and reprocess waste from used plastic bags. The activities was carried out in Meeting Hall, Kueh Village, Lhoknga District, Aceh Besar. Majority of participants are housewives and young adult women in Kueh Village. The main content of activities is waste management that are applicable at community level or in household settings, thus these activities increase community awareness about environmental health problems and empowering them to manage organic waste into compost and reuse plastic bags by reprocessing them into varied goods.
