Abstract

This community service activity aims to strengthen the instillation of Islamic character values in students through a fun and interactive learning approach. The background to this activity is the importance of fostering Islamic character in the younger generation, particularly in Islamic boarding schools, and the need for more creative learning methods so that moral values can be understood and internalized more effectively by students. Currently, the character development process is often carried out through conventional material delivery, so an alternative approach is needed to increase student participation and involvement in learning activities. The implementation method for this activity is carried out through several stages: (1) preparation and coordination with the Aisyah Lampung Islamic Boarding School, (2) delivery of material on the importance of Islamic character in daily life, (3) implementation of educational games designed to instill character values such as honesty, cooperation, responsibility, and discipline, and (4) evaluation of the activity to assess participant responses and engagement throughout the activity. This activity involved lecturers and students as activity facilitators, and the students as the main participants. The results of the activity showed that the students participated enthusiastically and demonstrated active participation throughout the process. Through a combination of material delivery and educational games, students not only gain an understanding of Islamic character values but also are able to practice them directly in group activities. Furthermore, these activities create a more enjoyable learning environment and foster a sense of togetherness among students. Therefore, this activity is expected to become an alternative learning method to strengthen Islamic character in students within Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

Education plays an important role in developing individual potential and shaping students’ character, particularly in the context of Islamic education which emphasizes the formation of polite character as a reflection of faith. This study aims to examine the relationship between Aqidah Akhlak learning and the development of students’ polite character in the fourth grade of MIS Mishbahul Aulad, Sukabumi City. This study employed a quantitative approach using an ex post facto method, involving 30 students as research subjects. Data were collected through questionnaires, observations, and interviews. The data were analyzed using validity, reliability, normality, and linearity tests, as well as simple linear regression analysis. The results showed that the research instruments were valid and reliable, the data were normally distributed, and there was a linear relationship between the two variables. However, the regression analysis indicated a significance value of 0.087 > 0.05, meaning that there was no significant relationship between Aqidah Akhlak learning and the development of students’ polite character. Nevertheless, a positive regression coefficient of 0.276 was obtained, with an R Square value of 0.101, indicating a contribution of 10.1%, while the remaining variance was influenced by other factors, both internal (religious understanding, motivation, and self-concept) and external (family, school, and community environment). Thus, Aqidah Akhlak learning still plays a role in supporting the development of students’ polite character, although it does not show a statistically significant relationship. Therefore, it needs to be continuously optimized and contextualized in the learning process.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis implementasi pembiasaan ibadah dalam memupuk nilai agama dan moral pada anak usia dini di TK Harapan. Meskipun pembiasaan religius telah banyak diteliti, sebagian besar studi masih bersifat deskriptif dan belum mengintegrasikan perspektif self-regulation dan habit formation dalam menjelaskan proses internalisasi nilai. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan desain studi kasus. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 66 anak kelompok B, 8 guru, dan 1 kepala sekolah. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan dengan pendekatan tematik. Keabsahan data dilakukan melalui triangulasi dan member check. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembiasaan ibadah yang dilakukan secara rutin dan terstruktur berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan self-regulation, disiplin, tanggung jawab, kesopanan, dan kepedulian sosial anak. Kebaruan penelitian ini terletak pada integrasi pembiasaan ibadah dengan mekanisme habit formation dan penguatan self-regulation dalam pembentukan karakter religius. Secara praktis, penelitian ini merekomendasikan integrasi pembiasaan ibadah dalam kurikulum PAUD serta penguatan kolaborasi sekolah dan keluarga.
