Abstract

Indonesia is facing the Industrial Revolution 4.0, an era where technologicaldevelopments are applied to various aspects, including manufacturing with artificialintelligence (AI) support which is also supported by internet of things (IoT) technology,human-machine interfaces, robotic and sensor technology, and three-dimensional (3D)printing technology that supports the industry. Changes in the world of work that areinfluenced by the Industrial Revolution 4.0 are challenges for Vocational High School(SMK) graduates. This is because many fields of work that have been filled with human laborhave been replaced by technology, machines, robots, or artificial intelligence. As a result,many graduates who should be able to work immediately are threatened to be unemployed.Efforts to be able to compete in the Industrial Revolution, educational institutions playan important role. They must be able to equip their students the abilities to keep up withchanges that occur quickly. As an anticipation, SMK Muhammadiyah Piyungan held abriefing activity with a face-to-face lecture methodology so that there was an interactivebetween students and the presenters.The results of this community service are expected to provide provisions for studentsto become competent and ready to work in that era. For institutions, the results are expectedto provide inputs, in the form of overviews, to the curriculum makers in accordance with theIndustrial Revolution era

Abstract

In the current business activities characterized by technological integration, the role of salespeople remains crucial as the frontline in enhancing product sales. Due to their contribution, it is imperative for companies to evaluate their performance. This research proposes an evaluation model for salespersons using a multiple-criteria decision-making (MCDM) approach. Two MCDM methods, namely fuzzy AHP and EDAS, are employed to determine the weight of evaluation criteria and rank 13 salespersons in a grocery store situated in an Indonesian traditional market. This study considers seven criteria: revenue (C1), honesty (C2), communication skills (C3), empathy (C4), extensive relationships (C5), work motivation (C6), and responsibility and discipline (C7). Using fuzzy AHP, criteria C2, C6, and C3 are identified as the main priority. Subsequently, the criteria weights are integrated into the EDAS calculation to rank the 13 salespersons. Salesmen SP2, SP3, and SP6 emerge as the top performers. This research provides an applicable evaluation model for decision-makers in the store, enabling them to assess their salespeople not solely based on quantitative output but also considering other criteria that may have a lasting impact. Abstract

The current development of information technology has led to digital interactions which are often known as cyberspace. Cyberspace is a notional environment where communication via computer networks occurs, in this case via the Internet, which can be in the form of text, images, audio, video, animation or anything in digital form. The virtual world now has almost the same intensity as the real world. With recent technological advances making it possible to have more intensity than the real world in the future. This has created new problems in social life, especially among teenagers who are the biggest users of cyberspace. Many bad things happen in teenagers' interactions in cyberspace, such as cyber bullying, or accessing content that is not suitable for teenagers to consume. This certainly cannot be allowed. To be able to overcome this problem, the outreach team carried out cyber ethics outreach activities in building a digital literacy culture. The aim of this service activity is to help increase understanding of cyber ethics among SMK Bina Harapan students. The number of participants in the socialization was 63 students consisting of class X and class XI of SMK Bina Harapan. From this activity, an evaluation was carried out in the form of a post-test using a multiple choice questionnaire via Google Form. The questions are written in essay form consisting of two answers Yes or No. The results of the Google Form questionnaire show that 90% of Bina Harapan Vocational School students understand the cyber ethics socialization material. Thus, it can be concluded that after conducting socialization, it can help increase students' understanding of Bina Harapan Vocational School about the importance of cyber ethics in building a digital literacy culture, so that their digital literacy activities become safer and healthier.

Abstract

Scheduling courses at each university is a complicated and complex job because there are many constraints and rules that must be considered. Scheduling is also crucial in the teaching and learning process because lecturer and student activities depend on the schedule that has been prepared. General problems that need to be considered when scheduling are the possibility that the lecturer will teach more than one course and the possibility that the number of courses and lecturers is not balanced. The preparation of class schedules at the Universitas Sarajanawiyata Tamansiswa, Faculty of Engineering is still done manually using excel so that the process of preparing the schedule takes a long time so it is less effective. This study aims to design a modeling system for optimizing course scheduling at the UST Faculty of Engineering with a Genetic algorithm in order to facilitate the development of a scheduling and optimize the time for preparing course schedules system. The data used is secondary data in the form of course scheduling data at the UST Faculty of Engineering even semester of the 2022/2023. The final result of this research is the scheduling optimization system modeling at the UST Faculty of Engineering. System process modeling is carried out using UML (Unified Modeling Language) which consists of 3 diagrams, namely Use Case Diagrams, Activity Diagrams, and Class Diagrams while modeling the analysis of data storage using ERD (Entity Relation Diagrams). In this study, 4 hard constraints and 3 soft constraints were applied which were the limitations in processing scheduling with genetic algorithms.

Abstract

The use of information technology can support business people in supporting their business processes. Wedang uwuh instan which is a form of creativity for Industrial Engineering students at the Universitas Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa that managed by PT Sruput Jaya which is a socially and profit-oriented student business unit. The current marketing reach is still offline and in the surrounding environment. The target consumer has not been given the maximum information platform regarding Wedhang Uwuh Instan products so consumer interest is lacking. Therefore it is necessary to make an application to support business processes at PT Sruput Jaya as a portal for online marketing and ordering. The development of such system technology cannot be separated from the development of a database that is used as a place for managing and using data in a running information system. Database development can be done using the DBSDLC (Database System Development Lifecycle) method. There are 3 processes in database design using the DBSDLC method, namely Conceptual Schema Design, Logical Design, and Physical Design. The results of this study are in the form of a business process support system design model at PT Sruput Jaya in the form of marketing applications and instant wedang uwuh online ordering. This model will support further system development.

Abstract

The Unjani Yogyakarta campus, specifically the Informatics Study Program, currently relies on manual methods such as calling students individually or using journal book signatures for attendance. This approach has drawbacks, including flexible attendance time, time-consuming procedures, and potential disruptions to student focus during lectures. To address these issues, the author conducted research to develop a student attendance information system for the campus. The system utilizes a client-server architecture and incorporates NFC technology on Android smartphones and RFID cards. The research aims to establish fixed attendance times and enable digital attendance through Android devices. It also facilitates monitoring of lecture activities for program administrators by integrating mobile and web applications. The system, developed using JAVA for mobile clients and PHP with CodeIgniter and Bootstrap for the web server, was built using the Research and Development method. The resulting student attendance application streamlines the attendance process for program administrators and lecturers. However, it should be noted that the system relies heavily on an internet connection and can serve as an alternative for online classroom attendance.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic which has been running for two years has resulted in changes in work patterns for employees, both private and public. Due to consideration of preventing the spread of the COVID-19 virus, government agencies and private offices are imposing WFH (work from home). As a result, for working couples, the household arena becomes a joint work arena, in which formal and domestic work is carried out. This study aims to discuss the division of labor between husband and wife in the household before the pandemic; the division of labor during the pandemic, and the impact of the division of labor during WFH on the division of labor after the pandemic. The study used qualitative methods and field studies were analyzed using gender theory. Data collection is done by way of interviews, observation and documentation. This research found that there were three trends in relationship changes that were prior to the COVID pandemic, the division of labor was carried out based on the habits that had been built by the couple since they were married, namely families who had a commitment to work together since the beginning of the marriage, so with the pandemic this commitment made it stronger, but for families who do not have a commitment to gender relations, the work arena formed by the pandemic does not really affect gender relations. This finding reinforces the perspective that gender relations are socio-cultural formations so they are not easy to change

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of using the wordwall media on the activity and understanding of fifth-grade students regarding food chains. The wordwall media is a visual learning tool that can enhance student interaction and engagement in the learning process. The research method used is quantitative with an experimental design. The subjects of the study consist of 30 fifth-grade students divided into two groups: an experimental group that uses wordwall media and a control group that learns without the media.Data collection was conducted through pre-tests and post-tests to measure students' understanding of food chains, as well as questionnaires to assess student activity during the learning process. The analysis results show that the average post-test scores of the experimental group increased significantly compared to the control group, with p < 0.05. Additionally, 85% of students in the experimental group reported that they felt more active and engaged in the learning process. This study concludes that the use of wordwall media can significantly improve student activity and understanding of food chains, thus having a positive implication for teaching strategies in the classroom.

Abstract

Wedang Uwuh Sruput hadir sebagai minuman tradisional yang lebih modern karena sudah dibuat dalam bentuk serbuk. Produk ini merupakan salah satu produk unggulan dari hasil program kreativitas mahasiswa Program Studi Teknik Industri Universitas Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa (UST) Yogyakarta dan saat ini dikelola oleh UMKM Sruput Jaya. Pemasaran dan distribusi Wedang Uwuh Sruput saat ini masih menggunakan cara personal selling pada lingkup lokal. Untuk mengembangkan pemasaran wedang uwuh instan ini dan memperkenalkannya lebih luas lagi pada level internasional sebagai minuman tradisional Indonesia yang memiliki banyak manfaat kesehatan, maka Program Studi Informatika UST menginisiasi kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang bertujuan untuk memetakan strategi pemasaran digital bagi pasar internasional Wedang Uwuh Sruput. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan dalam bentuk Forum Group Discussion (FGD) yang dilakukan secara daring dengan peserta yang meliputi tim pengabdi dari Program Studi Informatika UST, FORMMIT, pengelola UMKM Sruput Jaya, dan akademisi lain di lingkungan Fakultas Teknik UST. Hasil dari kegiatan PkM ini adalah identifikasi peluang, tantangan, dan langkah strategis yang dapat diambil untuk memperkenalkan dan memasarkan produk wedang uwuh instan di pasar internasional khususnya Taiwan, dengan fokus pada penyesuaian produk, pendekatan pemasaran berbasis preferensi lokal, dan pemanfaatan media digital.

Abstract

Sensors in the internet of things (IoT) and wireless sensor networks (WSN) for various purposes often require recalibration. The datasheet that accompanies the sensor usually displays a table of sensor’s output with minimum, typical and maximum values. This means that there is a tolerance of the values ​​that are still allowed by the manufacturer. For sensors with variable output voltage, it is usually displayed graphically. If the graph is not linear, curve fitting is needed to obtain the curve equation. In this research, curve fitting will be carried out using the least sum of squared errors method using a matrix. The curve equation resulting from curve fitting is needed for data processing or if it is needed to predict fixed variables if the independent variables are known. One of the sensors that has an output voltage curve that is not a straight line is the distance sensor from Sharp, the GP2Y0A02YK series. According to the datasheet, this sensor can be used to measure distances from 20 centimeters to 150 centimeters. The graph of the output voltage measuring distances from 20 cm to 150 cm is in the form of a curved curve. With calibration using curve fitting, it is hoped that the accuracy of sensor measurements and the processing of its output data will increase.
