Abstract

School-age adolescents, especially vocational high school students, need sufficient nutritional intake because their learning system demands physical activity, namely practice. Fish contains quite high protein and fatty acids which affect nutritional status and academic achievement. Adolescent fish consumption in Mejayan District is relatively low. Many factors influence it, such as: parental income, maternal education, taste, perception of fish prices, knowledge about fish, and social media. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence fish consumption. The design of this study is a cross-sectional study with data collection through filling out questionnaires and interviews using the FFQ and 24-hour Food Recall methods. The Adjusted R2 value is 0.438. The results of the hypothesis test show that taste factors, fish prices, and fish knowledge have a significant effect on the level of fish consumption as indicated by the sig. <0.05. Factors that do not have an effect are parental income, maternal education, and social media as indicated by the sig. >0.05.

Abstract

KUD Mina Tirta memiliki peranan penting dalam perekonomian rakyat, sebagai sarana untuk mewujudkan kesejahteraan bagi nelayan. Oleh karena itu dibutuhkan suatu alat ukur untuk mengetahui kinerja dan capaian sasaran sehingga dapat dijadikan pertimbangan dalam menyusun strategi di masa depan.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kinerja setiap usaha yang dikelola KUD Mina Tirta dan menganalisis kinerja KUD Mina Tirta. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi dan studi pustaka. Metode analisis menggunakan analisis Balanced Score Card (BSC). Metode pengambilan sampel untuk anggota KUD menggunakan metode quota sampling dan karyawan KUD menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Berdasarkan dari hasil penilaian kinerja tiap usaha yang dikelola oleh KUD Mina Tirta diperoleh usaha simpan pinjam sebesar 62.05%, usaha perdagangan sebesar 54.46%, usaha pengolahan sebesar 43,12% dan usaha jasa sebesar 41,8%. Hal ini dikarenakan pada usaha simpan pinjam sangat membantu anggota KUD jika tejadi kekurangan modal, masuk musim paceklik (sulit mencari ikan), proses peminjaman mudah, dan bunga pinjamannya yang rendah sebesar 0.3%/bulan. Hasil pengukuran kinerja dengan metode Balanced Score Card (BSC) ini diharapkan dapat menjadi bahan pertimbangan bagi KUD Mina Tirta dalam menyusun strategi yang tepat untuk meningkatkan kinerjanya di masa yang akan datang.

Abstract

Koperasi Unit Desa (KUD) Saroyo Mino merupakan sebuah koperasi yang bergerak dibidang perikanan untuk membantu meningkatkan kesejahteraan nelayan. Unit usaha yang dikelola oleh Koperasi Unit Desa Saroyo Mino adalah SPDN, waserda, persewaan fasilitas, perkreditan, dan pembayaran rekening listrik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis unit - unit usaha yang dikelola KUD Saroyo Mino, serta untuk menganalisis kinerja KUD Saroyo Mino. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan metode pengumpulan data adalah observasi, wawancara, studi pustaka dan dokumentasi. Metode  pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling untuk responden karyawan dan quota sampling untuk responden anggota KUD. Analisis yang digunakan adalah Balanced Scorecard. Hasil analisis keseluruhan unit usaha adalah unit usaha yang memiliki keuntungan terendah yaitu unit usaha waserda karena adanya pesaing bisnis sehingga tidak semua anggota berbelanja di waserda. Sedangkan yang memiliki keuntungan tertinggi yaitu unit usaha SPDN karena dana yang dikeluarkan untuk usaha SPDN lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan dana yang dikeluarkan unit usaha lain. Hasil analisis Balanced Scorecard pada empat perspektif yaitu 74,76% dengan rincian perspektif keuangan 18%, perspektif pelanggan 22,03%, perspektif bisnis internal sebesar 22,24%, dan perspektif pertumbuhan dan pembelajaran sebesar 12,49%. Hasil analisis Balanced Scorecard dari empat perspektif termasuk dalam kategori baik.

Abstract

Tegal City, located on the northern coast of Central Java, boasts abundant marine resources that support its thriving fisheries sector . However, the city faces various sustainable challenges in the processing of smoked fish by micro, small, and medium-scale Processing and Marketing Groups (Poklahsar), including obstacles in production, marketing, and product development. This research aims to formulate marketing strategies for smoked fish products processed by Poklahsar to increase sales. Using a qualitative and descriptive approach, this study involved 36 respondents from smoked fish processors. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and questionnaires to understand the socio-economic and technical conditions of Poklahsar. SWOT analysis was conducted to identify internal and external factors affecting marketing. The results indicate that the main strengths of the smoked fish business lie in the quality of raw materials, the availability of labor, and the market acceptance of the product's unique taste. However, weaknesses include limited packaging and marketing capabilities, as well as a lack of knowledge about information technology. Externally, there are opportunities to enter modern markets and utilize marketing technology, but challenges such as poor sanitation and intense competition pose threats. Based on the SWOT analysis, the business is positioned in quadrant 2, indicating that product diversification is the best approach to enhance competitiveness. Key recommendations include packaging innovation, capacity building for business actors, collaboration with the government, and strengthening distribution channels. Implementing these strategies is expected to increase sales and competitiveness of smoked fish products in Tegal City.

Abstract

The use of Electronic Medical Record by hospitals is important. As the basic regulations in article 3 of Minister of Health Regulation No. 82 of 2013 concerning SIMRS require Electronic Medical Record to be implemented in each hospital. Electronic Medical Records or abbreviated as EMR to create an optimal and excellent service system. The purpose of this research is to analyze hospital readiness in implementing RME in terms of Human Resources at RSU Anwar Medika Sidoarjo. This research is qualitative-descriptive research, to obtain results the researcher used an empirical approach. The research location is located at RSU Anwar Medika, Sidoarjo, East Java Province in 2024. The research results show that the use of Electronic Medical Record is understood by employees as a replacement for manual medical records in digital form, this is to simplify, speed up, optimize excellent service and reduce paper use. So that the RSU's human resources can be seen from the operation of the EMR system starting from the first health service (queuing, registration, giving examination numbers and codes) to internal services (diagnostic records, medical consultations, giving prescriptions) carried out by RSU Anwar Medika based on the RME system. So that, the existing human resources are included in the category of being able to carry out processing of "documents containing patient identity data, examinations, treatment, actions" with an RME-based health service system.

Abstract

Tingkat pemanfaatan (E) udang Penaeus merguiensis di perairan pantai Laut Arafura Merauke Provinsi Papua Selatan dalam kategori over-fishing (E=0,76/tahun untuk jantan dan betina E= 0,59/tahun). Mortalitas karena penangkapan (F) lebih besar dari mortalitas alami (M), menunjukan tekanan penangkapan tinggi.  Tujuan penelitian menganalisis penentuan ukuran mata jaring untuk keberlanjutan penangkapan udang P. merguiensis di perairan pantai Laut Arafura Merauke Provinsi Papua Selatan. Metode survei digunakan dalam penelitian, dengan teknik pengambilan sampel: sistimatik sampling.  Waktu pengumpulan data: Agustus 2022 - Juli 2023 pada tiga stasiun penelitian.  Analisis data utamanya penentuan ukuran mata jaring. Ukuran mata jaring untuk keberlanjutan udang P. merguiensis di stasiun A Distrik Naukenjerai = 50,80 - 98,21 mm; stasiun B Distrik Merauke = 42,68 mm; dan stasiun C Distrik Semangga = 50,05 mm. Penentuan ukuran mata jaring ini telah mempertimbangkan ukuran pertama matang gonad udang P. merguiensis pada ketiga stasiun penelitian: A Distrik Naukenjerai = 42,20 mmCL, B Distrik Merauke = 40,20 mmCL, dan C = 42,00 mmCL. Pengaturan ini dimaksudkan agar udang yang tertangkap secara ekonomi menguntungkan, dan kelestarian sumber daya udang dapat dijaga. Hasil penelitian dapat dijadikan pertimbangan kebijakan penentuan ukuran mata jaring trammel net dan pukat tarik dalam penangkapan udang secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

The fisheries sector, especially capture fisheries, is the leading sector in Tegal City. Fisheries activities in Tegal City are concentrated in the Tegalsari Coastal Fishery Port (PPP) where the majority of the perpetrators are small fishermen. Traditional fishermen who are artisanal fishermen generally live below the poverty line. Based on data from the Department of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries of Tegal City in 2014, almost 12,589 people worked as fishermen, consisting of 630 people as skippers or ship owners and 11,959 as fishermen workers or crew members (ABK). The low income of traditional fishermen is a long-standing problem, but it has not been resolved until now. The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors that affect the income of small fishermen in Tegal City. The types of data used in this study are primary and secondary data. Primary data was obtained by distributing questionnaires to respondents, while secondary data was obtained by studying literature relevant to the research. Respondents in this study were determined through purposive sampling as many as 140 respondents. Data analysis in this study used multiple linear regression analysis with the help of SPSS 22 software. The results showed that of the 4 independent variables studied (age, education, number of family dependents, and total expenditure) it was found that 2 factors significantly influenced the income level of small fishermen in Indonesia. Abstract

Our community engagement (CE) activity aimed to increase productivity in the Nile tilapia pond managed by POKDAKAN Berkah 2 in Turunrejo Village, Kendal Regency. This was achieved through carrying capacity engineering of ponds, mechanization of facilities, probiotic application, and enhancing the knowledge and skills of cultivators in managing pond water quality to meet the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) for tilapia rearing. Knowledge and skills improvement was facilitated through counseling sessions and technical assistance provided during the Nile tilapia rearing activities at Dempond Berkah 2. The community service team provided support by assisting with the procurement of two water pumps and pump holders, constructing inlet and discharge sluices, supplying 20,000 Nile tilapia fry measuring 2–3 cm, and providing factory feed. Fish stocking was conducted in the morning under optimal conditions: water salinity of 8–10 o/oo, neutral pH, and dissolved oxygen levels exceeding 3 mg/L. Factory feeding began on the 15th day after the fry were released into the pond. The results indicated that the fish grew well due to water quality management that met the standards for tilapia maintenance. This success was attributed to effective management of water and feed quality, as well as the provision of adequate cultivation facilities and infrastructure. Pond productivity exceeded the target of 1.5 tons, contributing to increased income for the farming community and improved knowledge and competence of fish farmers in Good Fish Farming Practices (CBIB).

Abstract

Vocational High School (SMK) is a secondary school that aims to produce quality human resources for those who are ready to work at a productive age. SMK-level schools are inhabited by teenage children at the age–15-17 years. Teenagers at that age need adequate nutritional intake, both in quality and quantity, for their growth and development, both in terms of health and non-health. Fish is a food ingredient with a variety of health and non-health benefits. The health benefits of fish are in the form of good nutritional status, while in the non-health aspect, it improves cognitive aspects in the form of learning achievements at school. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between fish consumption, nutritional status, and learning achievement among vocational students in Mejayan Village. The study used a cross-sectional design with 177 students, and data were collected through questionnaires, anthropometric measurements of IMT/U, food recall 1 × 24 hours, and report card scores. Data analysis using the Chi-Square method The results showed that the fish consumption level of vocational high school students in Mejayan Village was low at 8.18 kg/capita/year and there was no significant relationship with nutritional status (p=0.911) or learning achievement (p=0.422). The absence of a relationship between the two variables may be due to factors other than fish consumption that influence the results. Based on this research, education on the importance of fish consumption for students is needed to increase the benefits of their nutritional and cognitive status.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on various sectors, including Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). One of the MSMEs affected is the soft boned milkfish MSME. This study aims to analyze the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and determine the marketing strategy for soft boned milkfish products in Semarang. The method used in this research is a survey method. Primary data were obtained from 75 SMEs of soft boned milkfish in Semarang City, secondary data was obtained from related books and journals. The data analysis used is descriptive analysis and SWOT analysis. Descriptive analysis is used to determine the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the marketing of soft boned milkfish MSME products, SWOT analysis is used to develop alternative strategies for soft boned milkfish MSMEs during the COVID-19 pandemic. The results of the analysis show that the Covid-19 pandemic has an effect on the decline in the number of sales of production products, the number of customers and the number of requests by >50%. Alternative marketing strategies for soft boned milkfish MSME products in Semarang during the Covid-19 pandemic are: a) Branding (trademark) on each product packaging; b) Create attractive packaging designs; c) Registration of Business Permit, Submission for Issuance of SKP (Certificate of Eligibility Processing), Registration of SNI and legality; d) Cooperating with raw material suppliers to meet customer demands; e) Changing the atmosphere of sales outlets/stores by implementing health protocols.
