Abstract

Abstrak: Program One Day One Book di SD 69/IV Kota Jambi bertujuan meningkatkan minat baca siswa melalui kebiasaan membaca setiap hari sebelum pelajaran dimulai. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif untuk menganalisis pelaksanaan dan dampaknya. Hasil menunjukkan program ini efektif meningkatkan minat baca siswa, dari 40% menjadi 75%. Selain itu, siswa lebih aktif berdiskusi dan menunjukkan rasa percaya diri lebih tinggi. Meskipun ada kendala seperti keterbatasan buku, solusi dengan membawa buku dari rumah dan pendampingan intensif berhasil meningkatkan kualitas program. Program ini memberikan kontribusi positif dalam menciptakan budaya literasi di sekolah dasar.Abstract: The One Day One Book program at SD 69/IV Jambi City aims to increase students' interest in reading through the habit of reading every day before the lesson starts. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method to analyze the implementation and its impact. The results show that this program is effective in increasing students' interest in reading, from 40% to 75%. In addition, students are more active in discussions and show higher confidence. Despite obstacles such as limited books, the solution by bringing books from home and intensive mentoring has succeeded in improving the quality of the program. This program makes a positive contribution to creating a literacy culture in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze students’ numeracy literacy abilities in terms of learning styles among sixth-grade students at SDN 55/1 Sridadi. Numeracy literacy is a fundamental skill required in the twenty-first century and is emphasized in the Kurikulum Merdeka as part of the national education goals. The study employed a qualitative descriptive approach to explore how differences in learning styles visual, auditory, and kinesthetic affect students’ ability to understand and solve numeracy-based contextual problems. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving selected students representing each learning style. The collected data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that students with visual learning styles demonstrate better ability in reading and interpreting graphs or numerical data, auditory learners excel in solving problems through listening and verbal explanation, while kinesthetic learners show strength in tasks involving hands-on activities and direct experience. The study also found that students’ strategies in solving numeracy literacy problems varied according to their learning styles, particularly in answering Asesmen Kompetensi Minimum (AKM)-based tasks. These results indicate that teachers should recognize the diversity of students’ learning styles and integrate differentiated instruction in classroom activities. By implementing learning strategies aligned with students’ learning styles, teachers can enhance students’ understanding, engagement, and achievement in numeracy literacy effectively and inclusively.

Abstract

This community service activity was conducted at SDN 56/I Aro Village with the aim of improving teacher competency in using the E-Kinerja application to support effective performance administration. This topic was chosen based on the low technology utilization in partner schools and the limited skills of teachers in managing digital administration. The activity was implemented through a preliminary survey, training, mentoring, and evaluation stages, involving the principal and teachers as active participants. The results of the activity showed an increase in teacher understanding and skills in operating the E-Kinerja application, starting from logging in, filling out performance planning, and synchronizing data. Continuous mentoring also increased teacher independence and confidence in dealing with technical obstacles. Thus, this activity successfully supported the digitalization of performance administration in elementary schools and can serve as a model for other schools to improve the effectiveness of technology-based performance management.

Abstract

This activity aims to provide teachers with understanding and skills in creating formative assessments for literacy and numeracy learning during the PAUD-SD transition in elementary schools. The activity was implemented using lecture, discussion, question and answer sessions, and guided practice methods to create formative assessments for literacy and numeracy. At the end of the activity, an evaluation was conducted to assess the participants' understanding. The results of this activity showed a high level of participant satisfaction, indicated by a high average score of 90.5%. Based on the results of the workshop on creating formative assessments for literacy and numeracy learning during the enjoyable transition from early childhood education to elementary school, it can be concluded that this activity provides added value and knowledge related to creating formative assessments for literacy and numeracy learning. This community service activity requires follow-up related to direct implementation in grade 1, which is part of the transition from early childhood education to elementary school, so that it provides a direct impact of the training that has been carried out.

Abstract

The use of digital platforms in elementary schools has become a necessity in supporting innovative learning; however, their implementation has not yet been fully optimized. This study aims to describe the utilization of digital platforms in supporting innovative learning in elementary schools. The study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design involving a classroom teacher and sixth-grade students of SD Negeri 13/I Muara Bulian. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The results indicate that Canva and YouTube were utilized in the learning process. Canva was used as the main learning medium accessed through QR codes to present learning materials and practice tasks completed through group discussions, while YouTube was used as a supporting medium to strengthen students’ understanding through instructional videos. However, digital platforms have not been utilized as learning assessment tools, as Quizizz was not implemented. These findings indicate that digital platform-based learning has supported innovative learning, although its implementation has not yet been comprehensive.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology requires teachers to have strong digital competencies to support an effective, creative, and adaptive learning process. This study aims to describe the digital competence of elementary school teachers in utilizing digital learning platforms and the factors that influence them. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study design carried out at SDN 13/1 Muara Bulian, Batanghari Regency, Jambi Province. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation of teachers in grades IV, V, and VI. Data analysis uses the Miles and Huberman model which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results show that teachers have basic digital literacy skills and have utilized platforms such as Google Classroom, YouTube, Canva, WhatsApp, and Quizizz for learning activities. However, limited infrastructure, internet access, and lack of digital training are the main obstacles. Teachers' digital competencies are influenced by individual factors, motivation, institutional support, and technology availability. These findings affirm the importance of strengthening digital literacy and continuous training to improve teacher professionalism in implementing technology-based learning in the digital era.

Abstract

Mathematics learning in elementary schools still faces challenges due to the abstract nature of the material and students’ low level of engagement. This study aimed to develop an ethnomathematics-based Augmented Reality (AR) learning medium centered on Muaro Jambi Temple for teaching cubes and rectangular prisms to sixth-grade elementary students, as well as to describe its levels of validity and practicality. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which consists of the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The product was developed using the Assemblr Edu platform by integrating 3D visualizations of three-dimensional geometric objects with the cultural context of Muaro Jambi Temple. The research subjects included content experts, media experts, language experts, teachers, and students. Data were collected through interviews and questionnaires. The results indicated that the ethnomathematics-based AR learning media were categorized as valid and practical for use in sixth-grade mathematics instruction. Therefore, this media is feasible to be used as an alternative contextual learning resource that supports the Merdeka Curriculum.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji fenomena burnout dan strategi koping stres yang dialami shadow teacher dalam mendampingi anak berkebutuhan khusus di sekolah dasar inklusi. Tingginya tuntutan pendampingan, kompleksitas karakteristik peserta didik, serta keterbatasan dukungan institusional diduga memengaruhi kesejahteraan psikologis guru pendamping. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain fenomenologi. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas dua orang shadow teacher di salah satu sekolah dasar inklusi di Kota Jambi. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dan studi dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan model interaktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa burnout muncul dalam bentuk kelelahan emosional dan fisik, penurunan motivasi kerja, serta tekanan psikologis selama proses pendampingan. Faktor pemicu burnout meliputi beban kerja tinggi, tuntutan pendampingan individual, karakteristik peserta didik, serta terbatasnya dukungan sekolah. Shadow teacher menerapkan strategi koping stres problem-focused dan emotion-focused untuk mengelola tekanan kerja. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penguatan dukungan institusional melalui supervisi profesional, pelatihan berkelanjutan, dan pengaturan beban kerja guna meminimalkan burnout dan meningkatkan kualitas layanan pendidikan inklusif.

Abstract

Numeracy literacy is one of the essential competencies that elementary school students must master to solve mathematical problems in daily life. However, arithmetic learning in elementary schools is often still procedural and less oriented toward developing higher-order thinking skills. This study aims to examine computational thinking as a learning strategy in arithmetic operations to develop numeracy literacy of fifth-grade students. The research employed a quantitative approach using a one-group pretest–posttest design involving 20 fifth-grade students. Data were collected through numeracy literacy tests administered before and after the implementation of computational thinking-based instruction. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and paired sample t-test. The results indicate a significant improvement in students’ numeracy literacy after participating in arithmetic learning based on computational thinking. These findings suggest that computational thinking is an effective strategy for enhancing numeracy literacy in elementary school arithmetic learning.

Abstract

The low level of numeracy literacy among elementary school students remains a major issue in mathematics learning, particularly in topics related to three dimensional shapes and scale, which tend to be abstract and lack contextual relevance. One effort to address this issue is the implementation of meaningful and contextual learning rooted in local culture. This study aims to improve the numeracy literacy of fifth-grade elementary school students through the implementation of an ethnomathematics-based Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model integrating Rumah Kajang Lako in the topics of three-dimensional shapes and scale. This study employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) using a mixed-methods approach, conducted in two cycles through the stages of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were students of class V B at SD Negeri 34/1 Teratai Muara Bulian. Data collection techniques included numeracy literacy tests, observation of student activities, student response questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Quantitative data were analyzed using percentages of learning mastery and improvement in learning outcomes, while qualitative data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing with triangulation of techniques and sources. The results indicate that the implementation of the ethnomathematics based PjBL model integrating Rumah Kajang Lako significantly improves students’ numeracy literacy, both in quantitative and spatial competencies. In addition, students’ responses to the learning process demonstrate increased learning motivation, collaboration skills, mathematical modeling abilities, and positive learning reflection. Therefore, the ethnomathematics-based PjBL model integrating Rumah Kajang Lako is effective as an alternative contextual learning approach to enhance numeracy literacy among elementary school students.
