Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir matematis reflektif penting dan harus dimiliki siswa, karena melalui berpikir reflektif siswa aktif, serius dan penuh perhatian untuk mempertimbangkan sesuatu dengan pengetahuan yang telah diperolehnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan e-modul berbasis PBL yang valid, praktisrdan efektif. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan yang dilaksanakan dengan model pengembangan Plomp. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMPN 3 Pariangan. Hasil analisis validitas data menunjukkanpbahwa e-modul peningkatan kapasitas reflektif berbasis PBL yang dihasilkan memenuhi kriteria validitas baik isi maupun struktur, praktis dalam hal implementasi, kesederhanaan dan waktu pemrosesan. Modul ini juga efektif, terlihat dari hasil tes kemampuan berpikiryreflektif siswa. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa e-modul berbasis PBL yang telah dihasilkan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir reflektif sudah valid, praktis dan efektif.

Abstract

Untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan khususnya pada mata pelajaran matematika, lembaga pendidikan telah berfokus pada pendidikan dan pengembangan anak-anak berbakat dan bertalenta. Banyak kolaborasi di bidang pendidikan untuk membuat strategi pendidikan bagi peserta didik berbakat. Namun, program dan kurikulum yang diberikan belum sesuai untuk anak berbakat intelektual di bidang matematika. Oleh karena itu, artikel ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki dan mengevaluasi program dan kurikulum matematika yang dapat diterapkan di Indonesia berdasarkan berbagai pendekatan diferensiasi pada peserta didik dan model-model kurikulum matematika untuk anak berbakat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah literature review dengan mengumpulkan referensi terkait anak berbakat di bidang matematika melalui telaah dokumen artikel, kurikulum, dan buku teks matematika. Hasil temuan memberikan deskripsi mengenai program akselerasi dan pengayaan yaitu Projek M3 (Mentoring Mathematical Minds), Curriculum Differentiation Approach, dan Model Autonomous Learner Betts. Program-program yang ditawarkan merupakan program untuk meningkatkan prestasi, keterampilan berpikir kreatif, keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi, keterampilan berpikir kritis para peserta didik berbakat.Untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan khususnya pada mata pelajaran matematika, lembaga pendidikan telah berfokus pada pendidikan dan pengembangan anak-anak berbakat dan bertalenta. Abstract

This study aims to develop learning tools in the form of lesson plans, student worksheets, learning videos, and PPT, based on WEB for first-grade seventh-school material linear equations with flipped classroom-type peer instruction. The development of this WEB-based learning tool uses the Plomp model. The steps for developing web-based learning tools include preliminary needs analysis, curriculum analysis, concept analysis, student analysis, and literature analysis. Then product development and assessment. This research was carried out during the product development stage based on needs analysis, curriculum analysis, concept analysis, student analysis, and literature analysis and then self-evaluated. The preliminary analysis obtained information that teachers need learning tools that can help students improve problem-solving skills, students need engaging learning media, students are interested in using learning media using videos with a period of 10-15 minutes, and PPT, accessed in the WEB. Then the product is compiled and evaluated on its own, related to the apparent error in using it. Based on the preliminary analysis, learning lessons, student worksheets, learning videos, PPT based on WEB and self-evaluation have been produced, which can then be validated by experts.

Abstract

The report is a part of developing integrative learning model (MPI) on the biology of animal development. The research objective was to determine the needs analysis of developing MPI on the biology of animal development at STAIN Batusangkar. The research use Plomp model. The data obtained will be analyzed by data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The result showed that philosophy of STAIN Batusangkar is an integration. Analysis of the characteristics of students showed that students of STAIN Batusangkar has a heterogeneous background of the aspects of capability. These results are based on the findings of the Academic Performance Index, schools and majors while undergoing studies in high school, the course pre-condition and the results of multiple intelegencie test. Developmental of biology material is characterized by the facts, concepts, principles and theories. In conclusion, the research is a part of activity that supports of developing MPI on the biology of animal development at STAIN Batusangkar.Kata kunci:    analisis karakteristik, model pembelajaran integratif, biologi perkembangan hewan

Abstract

The quality of mathematics learning is influenced by good teaching material and can facilitate students to be active in knowledge and improve mathematical critical thinking skills. Mathematical critical thinking skills focus on activities in analyzing a more specific idea. Developing a learning module using a brain-based learning model is necessary to improve mathematical critical thinking skills. This study aims to determine the characteristics of the learning module using a brain-based learning model that is valid, practical, and effective. This type of research is development research using the Plomp model, which consists of three stages, namely the preliminary, development, and assessment stages. The module is made using a Brain-based learning model for class X Junior High School (SMA). The instruments used are validation sheets, observation sheets, questionnaires, interviews, and tests. The results showed that the learning module using the brain-based learning model for class X SMA was valid, practical, and effective. The validity of the module reaches 78.6. In contrast, the practicality of the module is 91.67%. In terms of effectiveness, it can be seen from students' average mathematical critical thinking ability test results, namely from 52.2 to 88.1

Abstract

Computational Thinking (CT) is a further development which is the latest innovation in mathematical problem-solving skills. Four foundations of CT make it easier for someone to solve problems effectively, efficiently, and optimally. This mixed methods research with an embedded design. Quantitative data were collected using tests and qualitative data through written interviews and an overview of the prospective teacher's thought processes in answering tests. The sample that became the research subject was selected using the purposive sampling method by selecting 28 pre-service teacher's mathematics in Professional Teacher Education (PTE) who attended CT lectures. The object of this research is the 4 CT foundations of prospective teachers in solving math problems. This study describes how CT skills solve problems. The test results show that the percentage of correct answers for each of the four CT foundations is more than 80%. It can be concluded that the knowledge and understanding of Computational Thinking for 21st-century professional teacher candidates in terms of 4 CT foundations are categorized as "very high". Based on the description of the student's answers, it was also concluded that the CT foundation is indeed the basis for thought processes in solving problems. It is the advantage of Computational Thinking.

Abstract

Kemampuan pemecahan masalah merupakan salah satu tujuan yang penting dipelajari dalam proses pembelajaran. Banyaknya penggunaan rumus dan tidak terlibatnya peserta didik dalam penemuan konsep matematis menyebabkan rendahnya kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis. Untuk itu, dirancang suatu alur pembelajaran untuk memfasilitasi kemampuan pemecahan masalah dengan pendekatan yang tepat dan sesuai berbasis Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) untuk menghasilkan Local Instructional Theory (LIT) khususnya topik aritmetika sosial yang valid, praktis dan efektif. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan gabungan design research model Plomp dan Gravemeijer & Cobb. Subyek penelitian terdiri dari peserta didik kelas VII sebanyak 3 orang (evaluasi perorangan), 6 orang (kelompok kecil) dan 32 orang (kelompok besar) di sebuah SMP di Kota Padang. Data penelitian dikumpulkan menggunakan lembar observasi, lembar validasi ahli, lembar angket, dan soal tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa LIT topik aritmetika sosial yang dikembangkan sudah valid dilihat dari aspek didaktik (penyajian), materi (isi), kebahasaan dan kegrafikaan (tampilan. Praktis karena alur belajar dapat digunakan oleh peserta didik dalam menemukan sendiri konsep matematika menggunakan tahap informal menuju tahap formal dengan uji kelayakan oleh peserta didik (kelompok kecil) 86,67% dengan kriteria “sangat praktis” dan peserta didik (kelompok besar) 78,27% dengan kriteria “praktis”. Selanjutnya dikatakan efektif karena memberikan dampak positif terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik dan rata-rata tes 79,11% dengan kriteria “berhasil” pada tahap field test.Problem solving ability is one of the important goals studied in the learning process. The large use of formulas and the lack of involvement of students in discovering mathematical concepts causes low mathematical problem solving abilities. For this reason, a learning pathway was designed to facilitate problem solving abilities with an appropriate and appropriate approach based on Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) to produce Local Teaching Theory (LIT), especially social arithmetic topics that are valid, practical and effective. This development research uses the Plomp and Gravemeijer & Cobb combined design research model. The research subjects consisted of 3 class VII students (individual evaluation), 6 people (small group) and 32 people (large group) at a junior high school in Padang City. Research data was collected using observation sheets, expert validation sheets, questionnaires, and problem solving ability test questions. The results of the research show that the LIT topic of social arithmetic that was developed is valid from the didactic (presentation), material (content), linguistic and graphic (display) aspects. It is practical because the learning flow can be used by students in discovering their own mathematical concepts using the informal stage towards the formal with a feasibility test by students (small groups) 86.67% with the criteria "very practical" and students (large groups) 78.27% with the criteria "practical". Furthermore, it is said to be effective because it has a positive impact on mathematical problem solving abilities students and the test average was 79.11% with the criteria "successful" at the field test stage.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills are crucial for students as they are closely tied to their problem-solving capabilities. This study aims to develop a teaching module integrated with the ethnomathematics of the Jam Gadang architecture to enhance students' critical thinking skills on the topic of flat shapes. This research adopts a Research and Development (RD) approach using the Plomp model. The study involves fifth-grade students from a state elementary school in Sungai Jariang in a one-to-one and small-group method trial class, and a state elementary school in Pahambatan Balingka as a field trial class. Data analysis employs validity analysis techniques, practicality analysis techniques utilizing a Likert scale, and effectiveness analysis techniques using a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research instruments include a questionnaire and a critical thinking test. Validation of the teaching module instrument scored 3.6, and student worksheets (LKPD) scored 3.83, both falling into the highly valid category. The practicality of the teaching module reached 92.86%, while the practicality of student worksheets (LKPD) reported 91.18% from the students' perspective and 95.85% from the teacher's perspective, all categorized as highly practical. The Jam Gadang integrated learning modules for ethnomathematics were declared effective in the medium category based on the calculated N-Gain value in field trials of 0.51. Thus, this learning module is suitable for use in improving students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Ethnomathematics integrates cultural contexts into mathematical learning, enriching students' comprehension of mathematical concepts and their applications. This study explores the embodiment of ethnomathematical concepts within the architecture and ornamentation of Rumah Gadang in Luhak Tanah Datar, a traditional dwelling renowned for its intricate designs. Employing a qualitative research methodology, this investigation utilizes interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis to examine the contributions of two craftsmen. The primary objective is to elucidate the mathematical principles manifest in the structural and decorative elements of Rumah Gadang, with a focus on identifying specific mathematical ideas and concepts that are applicable to educational settings. Findings reveal that the architecture and decorations of Rumah Gadang incorporate various mathematical concepts, including counting, measuring, locating, designing, playing, and explaining, which are expressed through numbers, shapes, lines, geometric transformations, trigonometry, angles, and symmetry. This research not only highlights the presence of intricate mathematical ideas in traditional architecture but also suggests the potential of these findings to serve as valuable educational resources in teaching mathematics. Additionally, these insights provide a foundation for further ethnomathematical studies related to Rumah Gadang.
