Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang pengembanganlocal instructional theory berbasis RME pada topik perbandingan di sekolah dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian pengembangan tipe Gravemeijer & Cobb (2013). Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam tiga tahap, yaitu preparing for the experiment, experimenting in the classroom dan conducting retrospective analyses. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui analisis dokumen, tes, observasi, wawancara, dan catatan lapangan. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan, dihasilkan LIT yangvalid, praktis, dan efektif untuk kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik. Peserta didik dapat menyelesaikan masalah perbandingan dengan berbagai aktivitas yaitu menemukan konsep perbandingan, menentukan perbandingan senilai, menentukan perbandingan berbalik nilai dan menemukan konsep kecepatan

Abstract

Artikel ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa kelas IV SD. Hal ini terjadi karena siswa secara langsung menyelesaikan masalah yang diberikan oleh guru. Masalah yang diberikan oleh guru belum berbentuk abstrak sehingga siswa kurang memahami masalah yang diberikan. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut adalah dengan pendekatan realistic mathematics education. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi experiment. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah  siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 22 Andalas Padang Tahun Pelajaran 2018/2019. Sampel penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas IV.b sebagai kelas eksperimen dan siswa Kelas IV.c sebagai kelas kontrol. Data penelitian diperoleh dari hasil tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa  serta angket self efficacy. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji Anava dua arah. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dan pembahasan diperoleh bahwa terdapat perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yang diajarkan menggunakan pendekatan Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) dengan pendekatan konvensional pada siswa kelas IV SD 22 Andalas Padang dengan  Fhitung>Ftabel. Kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yang memiliki self efficacy tinggi tidak memiliki perbedaan dengan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yang memiliki self efficacy rendah dengan  Fhitung<Ftabel . Self efficacy, pendekatan Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) dan pendekatan konvensional tidak memiliki interaksi dalam mempengaruhi kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa dengan  Fhitung<Ftabel . Selain itu, self efficacy memiliki hubungan dengan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa dengan thitung > ttabel.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berawal dari masalah rendahnya aktifitas dan hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika. Hal ini terlihat pada nilai ulangan akhir semester siswa yang berada di bawah kriteria ketuntasan minimal sehingga pembelajaran matematika belum berjalan sebagaimana diharapkan. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menjelaskan perencanaan, pelaksanaan peningkatan aktifitas dan hasil belajar matematika dengan pendekatan konstruktivisme. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas V SDN 21 Nan Sabaris kabupaten padang pariaman yang berjumlah 19 orang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan pendekatan kwalitatif dan kuantitatif. Dalam pelaksanaaannya, penelitian ini terdiri dari 2 siklus yang dilakukan oleh peneliti dan observer. Setiap siklus terdiri dari kegiatan perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan yang disertai pengamatan dan refleksi pada masing-masing siklus. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada semester dua tahun ajaran 2016/2017 di SDN 21 Nan Sabaris kabupaten padang pariaman. Data penelitian ini dikumpulkan melalui observasi, dokumentasu dan hasil tes. Hasil analisis data penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata aktifitas siswa dari siklus 1 ke siklus 2 yaitu wrting aktifities 54% meningkat menjadi 76%, motor actifities 62% meningkat menjadi 91%, mental activities 42% meningkat menjadi 89%, emotional activities 62% meningkat menjadi 88%. Hal yang sama juga terlihat pada hasil belajar siswa yaitu : persentase hasil belajar siswa pada siklus 1 47% dan pada siklus dua menjadi 84%. Melihat hasil penelitian ini, maka penelitian tindakan kelas dalam penggunaan pendekatan konstruktivisme pada pembelajaran matematika perlu diterapkan dan dikembangkan dalam rangka peningkatan mutu pendidikan di masa yang akan datang.

Abstract

This study discusses developing a mathematical education (RME) based local theory (LIT) that is valid, practical, and effective on the topic of the lowest common multiple and greatest common factor in grade V of elementary school. The research method used is the type of research design Gravemeijer & Cobb (2013). This research was conducted in three phases, namely conducting experiments, experimenting in class, and conducting a retrospective analysis. Data was collected using document analysis, observation, interviews, field notes, tests, and questionnaires. The collected data was analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. Based on the research that has been done, LIT has been approved which is valid, practical, and effective for students' mathematical literacy abilities. Students can solve the problems of LCM and GCF with various activities, namely finding multiples and multiples of fellowship, finding factors and factors of fellowship then resolving problems related to daily life. Abstract

This research is motivated by barriers to student learning on the topic of division. The problem solving ability is the impact of the less effective learning that has been carried out. In this case, the importance of learning is based on Realistic Mathematics Education (RME). The research was conducted by developing valid, practical and effective Local Instructional Theory (LIT) through development research revealed by Gravemeijer & Cobb. The subjects of the trial came from third grade students of SDN region IV, Koto Tangah sub-district, Padang City. Research is supported by data collection techniques in the form of document analysis, observation, interviews, questionnaires, and tests. Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistics and parametric statistics. Validation results show valid LIT which can be seen from aspects of content, language, didactic, and presentation that are in accordance with the principles and characteristics of the RME. The trial results also show very practical categories that are seen in terms of ease of use, student readability and availability of time so that students can carry out a series of LIT learning activities. In addition, LIT has an impact on students' effective problem solving abilities. This can be seen from the comparison of the average mathematical problem solving abilities of students who use LIT by not using LIT. The hypothesis test addresses the experimental class data higher than the control class data. Keywords: LIT, RME, Division

Abstract

The aims from this study observe at the influenceof cooperative learning model group investigation (GI) type and learning motivation on students' ability to understand concepts and solve problems in Mathematics in UPT SMP Negeri Airpura both to the students who had high previous knowledge and those who had low previous knowledge.This was a quasi experimental research. Samples are choose using randomized sample. Data are analyzed using t-test, Mann Whitney test and two Ways Anova using MINITAB software. The result of data analysis showed that : (1) the influenceof cooperative learning model group investigation (GI) type and learning motivation can improve students' MGI skills and still need to improve their ability to understand concepts., (4) there was no interaction between learning approaches and previous knowledge toward the eighth grade students.

Abstract

This study aims to produce effectiveness from the development of learning tools through the concept of algebraic forms using Cognitive Conflict-Based Learning (PbKK) models for mathematical problem-solving abilities that are implemented in the Learning Implementation Plan (RPP) and Student Worksheet (LKPD) that are valid and practical. The method used is the Plomp design research model which consists of three phases, namely the preliminary research phase, the development phase (development or prototyping phase) and the assessment phase. The subjects of the study were the seventh grade students of junior high school. Data collection techniques used was posttest tests from two classes, namely the experimental class and the control class. Data analysis techniques are using the Independent-Sample T Test. The analysis shows that p-value = 0.034 <0.05 means that there are significant differences between the two classes. So, the development of Cognitive Conflict-based learning tools has a positive impact on students' mathematical problem solving abilities in algebraic form material.

Abstract

This study aims to determine 1) whether reading ability has an effect on the ability to solve math story problems in grade V SD in Padang teaching 2019/2020; 2) whether there is an effect of student learning motivation on the ability to solve math story problems in grade V SD in Padang City, 2019/2020 teaching; and 3) whether there is an effect of reading ability and student learning motivation on the ability to solve math story problems in grade V SD in the city of Padang teaches 2019/2020. The results showed that the results showed that the effect of reading ability on the ability to solve math story problems was F 23.86> F 4.15. The influence of learning motivation on theme 6 sub-theme 1 learning 4 is F 68.27> F 4.15 and the influence of reading ability and student learning motivation on the ability to solve math story problems F 62.78> F 4.16. So it can be concluded that there is a significant influence between reading ability and student learning motivation on the ability to solve math story problems in 4th grade elementary school students in Padang City 2019/2020.

Abstract

This research is a descriptive survey to determine the needs of lecturers and students for STEM-oriented problem posing learning models that can activate students to ask questions so that students can learn independently and can improve their problem solving skills in calculus. This research sample were students who took Calculus and lecturers who taught calculus. The research instrument used an online needs analysis questionnaire with two forms of statements, namely statements containing qualitative data. The research object consisted of 156 students from Padang State University, Bung Hatta University and STKIP PGRI Padang, as well as 2 lecturers teaching from the three colleges. The results of data analysis showed that on the part of lecturers and students is needed this learning model. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa yang mengambil mata kuliah Kalkulus dan dosen yang mengajar Kalkulus. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan angket analisis kebutuhan yang dibuat secara daring yang memuat bentuk pernyataan kualitatif yang dikuantitatifkan. Sampel terdiri atas mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Padang, Universitas Bung Hatta, dan STKIP PGRI Padang berjumlah 141 orang serta dosen yang mengajar dari ketiga perguruan tinggi tersebut masing-masing 2 orang. Hasil analisis data diperoleh bahwa dari pihak dosen dan mahasiswa membutuhkan model pembelajaran problem Posing berorientasi STEM ini untuk meningkatkan kemandirian belajar dan kemampuan problem solving.  Kata kunci :  penelitian survey, indikator kebutuhan model, tingkat kebutuhan model problem posing.

Abstract

This study aims to produce a Hypothetical Learning Trajectory (HLT) in helping students understand the concept of number patterns. The research method used is design research. The research is focused on designing HLT which is validated, revised and tested one-to-one for students. Research data were collected through observation, interviews, and analysis of student answers. The instruments used are HLT and student worksheets using the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach through literature study. The collected data were collected and analyzed qualitatively. This research was conducted at the Non-Formal Education Program Package A level 2, involving 3 students with high, medium and low ability levels. The results of the analysis show that students with medium and high abilities can understand the material quite well, while students with low abilities have difficulty understanding the problems given. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan Hypothetical Learning Trajectory (HLT) dalam membantu peserta didik dalam memahami konsep pola bilangan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian desain. Penelitian difokuskan untuk merancang HLT yang divalidasi, direvisi dan diujicobakan secara one-to-one kepada peserta didik. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan analisis jawaban peserta didik. Instrument yang digunakan berupa HLT dan lembar kerja peserta didik dengan menggunakan pendekatan Realistic Mathematics Education  (RME) melalui studi literature. Data yang dikumpulkan dikumpulkan dianalisis secara kualitatif. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada Pendidikan Non Formal Program Paket A tingkat 2, dengan melibatkan 3 orang peserta didik dengan tingkat kemampuan tinggi, sedang dan rendah. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa  peserta didik dengan kemampuan sedang dan tinggi dapat memahami materi cukup baik, sedangkan peserta didik kemampuan rendah mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami masalah yang diberikan.
