Abstract

Jawa Barat merupakan salah satu daerah yang paling rawan mengalami bencana alam, terutama gempa bumi. Salah satu wilayah yang rentan terhadap gempa bumi di provinsi Jawa Barat ialah kabupaten sukabumi. Desa Cipeuteuy, Kecamatan Kabandungan sebagai salah satu desa dengan potensi ancaman bencana. Maka tim KKN 18 Universitas Nusa Putra melakukan program sosialisasi mengenai mitigasi bencana, yang diharapkan dengan adanya program sosialisasi ini agar masyarakat khususnya anak-anak dapat teredukasi sejak dini mengenai mitigasi bencana dan langkah yang dapat dilakukan serta mengetahui daerah-daerah yang rawan bencana yang ada di Desa Cipeuteuy. Kegiatan sosialisasi ini dilakukan di 3 (tiga) sekolah yang ada di Desa Cipeuteuy, dari sekolah SD hingga SMP. Yaitu, SDN Cipeuteuy, SMP PGRI Kabandungan, Mts Al-Amsyariah. Metode sosialisasi dilakukan dengan pemaparan materi mengenai pengertian mitigasi bencana, jenis-jenis bencana, tindakan yang dilakukan saat terjadi bencana serta pemasangan peta mitigasi bencana di kantor desa. Secara keseluruhan kegiatan dikatakan berhasil karena melebihi target peserta yang ditetapkan.

Abstract

Differences in gender-based communication patterns in the work environment have been a concern in sociolinguistic studies, given their influence on power dynamics and politeness in professional interactions. The background of this research aims to understand how men and women express power and politeness through language, taking into account the role of social construction and cultural expectations of gender roles in organizations. The purpose of this study is to identify patterns in language use between men and women and understand their implications in an increasingly inclusive work context. This research method uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data was collected through in-depth interviews and participatory observations on employees in several organizations to explore perceptions, experiences, and communication patterns used in inter-gender interactions. Thematic analysis is used to identify key themes in the use of language related to power and politeness. The results of the study showed that men more often used direct and assertive language to assert authority, while women preferred a persuasive and collaborative communication style. This reflects social expectations of the role of gender in organizational structures. The conclusion of this study shows that these differences in language patterns not only reflect individual preferences, but are also influenced by organizational culture and social norms. The practical implications are that organizations can use these findings to develop more inclusive communication strategies, thereby supporting a more equal and harmonious work environment.

Abstract

This study explores prosodic analysis as a method to recognize speech impairment in the elderly. The background shows that physiological and neurological changes often affect intonation patterns, rhythm, intensity, and vocal quality, thus impacting communication fluency. The method used was qualitative with in vivo voice recording, interviews, and signal analysis using sound processing software. The results found a decrease in pitch frequency range, slowness of speech rhythm, and decreased voice intensity, indicating a decline in phonation function among the elderly. The implication is that the prosodic approach can be an early screening tool, enabling more appropriate clinical and speech therapy interventions to maintain the quality of life of the elderly.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the researcher's interest in social, cultural, political, and economic themes raised by the author. These themes were packaged attractively and loaded with life values that can be used as guidelines for readers. The problems discussed in this study related to the themes and messages contained in the 125 titles of sketches in Putu Wijaya's collection of Goro-Goro sketches. The purpose of this study was to describe the themes and messages in a collection of Goro-Goro sketches by Putu Wijaya. This study used a descriptive method, in the form of qualitative, with a structural approach. The source of this research data was a collection of Goro-Goro sketches by Putu Wijaya, the research data were quotes related to the themes and messages contained in the collection of Goro-Goro sketches by Putu Wijaya. The research data collection technique used in this research was a documentary study technique by examining literary works as a data source. Based on the results of data analysis, Putu Wijaya's collection of Goro-Goro sketches consisted of 51 social themed sketches, 58 political themed sketches, 12 cultural themed sketches, and 4 economic themed sketches. The theme of Putu Wijaya's collection of Goro-Goro sketches was closely related to his message, which was full of useful ideas, thought, and life values. Overall, the story contained in Putu Wijaya's collection of Goro-Goro sketches was true to its title—Goro-Goro which comes from the Javanese language, meaning chaos.

Abstract

Tanaman gandaria (Bouea macrophylla griff) telah dilaporkan memiliki aktivitas antioksidan yang tinggi. Hal ini disebabkan tingginya kandungan senyawa antioksidan seperti polifenol, tanin, flavonoid, dan asam askorbat dalam studi skrining fitokimia. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk melihat perbedaan nilai dari uji aktivitas antioksidan berdasarkan metode ekstraksi modern dan konvensional dan berapa nilai IC50 dari uji aktivitas antioksidan daun gandaria dengan menggunakan metode DPPH berdasarkan perbedaan metode ekstraksi green extraction dan metode konvensional. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa esktrak daun gandaria (Bouea macrophylla griff) nilai IC50 dengan metode DPPH dengan ekstraksi UAE dan maserasi termasuk dalam kategori kuat berturut-turut 11,319 μg/mL dan 13,331 μg/mL, nilai IC50 pada metode FIC dengan ekstraksi maserasi dan UAE tergolong kuat berturut-turut sebesar 40,428 μg/mL dan 16,262 μg/mL. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa esktrak daun gandaria (Bouea macrophylla griff) memiliki aktivitas antioksidan.

Abstract

Multicultural families in rural communities face unique challenges in parenting due to differences in cultural values, language, and gender role perceptions. Parenting counseling programs that do not consider multicultural aspects often exacerbate conflicts in families. Therefore, this study aims to explore best practices in culture-based parenting counseling for multicultural families in rural communities. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation with 10 multicultural families and 5 counselors. Thematic analysis was used to identify key themes of cultural adaptation challenges and practices. The results showed that the main challenges faced by multicultural families were differences in cultural values (45%), language barriers (25%), and differences in gender role perceptions (20%). Open communication practices and empathy-based approaches have proven effective in helping families overcome these differences. Counselors have an important role as mediators in helping multicultural families unite different cultural values in harmonious parenting patterns. This study recommends counselor training to increase cultural sensitivity and the development of counseling programs that are adaptive to cultural differences in rural communities.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the financial performance of Indonesian manufacturing companies before and after the global economic crisis in 2008. In this study, financial performance is measured by Return on Assets (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE), and Net Profit Margin (NPM). By comparing the average ROA, ROE, and NPM before and after the crisis, the results of the descriptive analysis were tested. It can be seen that ROA, ROE and NPM after the crisis were higher than before the crisis. As a result, post-crisis financial performance has improved compared to before the crisis. Based on the descriptive analysis, it is known that the financial performance of manufacturing companies after the crisis is better than before the crisis. Based on the t test, the results of ROA, ROE and NPM tests were obtained as follows. First, Post-crisis ROA is higher than before the 2008 global economic crisis, and the increase is said to be large. Second, post-crisis return on equity appears to be higher than before the global economic crisis, but this is not statistically significant. Third, post-crisis NPM also appears to be larger than before the crisis, but not statistically significant. The results of the t test show that financial performance as measured by ROA has improved after the crisis compared to before the crisis.

Abstract

Today's technology continues to grow and users begin to feel the benefits of using the internet. Some feel dependence on the presence of the Internet, including the activities of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) using information technology in their business, especially in the era of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC). The purpose of this study is to describe in general the impact of digital marketing on SME sales in Batam City. This research is qualitative in nature and uses a triangular model that combines structured interview methods, in-depth interviews and observations of MSMEs participants who actively participate in Market Community Improvement Services – Cooperatives and SMEs in the City. From the results of the study it can be seen that digital marketing facilitates communication and direct interaction between MSME players and consumers, increasing market share, increasing the visibility of MSME players and increasing sales.

Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan salah satu hal yang sangat penting bagi masyarakat suatu bangsa, demikian juga bangsa kita tercinta Indonesia Raya. Tidak menutup kemungkinan di daerah penjuru masih banyak masyarakat yang kurang bahkan tidak mengenyam pendidikan. Kemajuan suatu bangsa, salah satunya ditentukan dengan sumber daya manusia yang unggul. Hal tersebut dapat diperoleh dengan adanya pendidikan yang maju dan terus memberikan mutu terbaik bagi masyarakat. Kasus demikian, juga kami temukan di desa Pasuruhan Kecamatan Watumalang Kabupaten Wonosobo yang menjadi tempat KPM kami. Di desa itu kami menemukan anak-anak yang notabenya masih kurang dalam membaca, menulis bahkan memahami huruf abjad pun sebagian dari mereka ada yang masih kesulitan. Dengan demikian, kami berupaya memberikan pemahaman dan pembelajaran melalui metode calistung (baca tulis hitung) supaya mereka termotivasi, tergugah serta bersemangat dalam belajar, meningkatkan pengetahuan serta memahami akan pentingnya pendidikan dalam kemajuan suatu bangsa. Pendidikan tidak hanya sebagai penunjang kemajuan sumber daya manusia suatu bangsa. Namun, merupakan sebuah kewajiban bagi setiap pribadi manusia di muka bumi.

Abstract

Abstract: Effectiveness of Artificial Intelligence-Based Learning Analytics Tool in Supporting Personalized Learning in Higher Education. Objective: The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in higher education has become one of the significant innovations to improve the quality of learning, especially through personalization. However, the effectiveness of AI-based learning analytics tools in supporting learning personalization in Indonesian higher education is still not widely explored. This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of AI-based analytics tools in supporting learning personalization and identify challenges in its implementation. Method: This research uses descriptive qualitative method with in-depth interviews, observation, and document analysis. The respondents included 10 lecturers and 15 students from three universities in Indonesia who have implemented AI-based tools in the learning process. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis techniques to identify key patterns and trends. Finding: The results show that AI-based analytics tools are effective in improving learning personalization. Students using the tool recorded an average academic grade improvement of 15.03%, while lecturers found it helpful in understanding students' learning needs. The main challenges identified were low digital competency (50% of respondents) and concerns regarding data privacy (30% of respondents). Conclusion: AI tools have great potential to support personalized learning, but their success depends on digital literacy training and more transparent data management. This research has implications for the importance of investing in technology-based education infrastructure and policies to ensure sustainable adoption. Keywords: artificial intelligence, personalized learning, higher education, technology effectiveness.
