Abstract

The School Health Program (UKS) aims to improve the health status of students through the Trias UKS, which includes health education, health services, and fostering a healthy school environment. However, the implementation of UKS has not been optimal in many schools, including Muhammadiyah 1 Elementary School in Malang, which faces challenges such as students' lack of knowledge about balanced nutrition, Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS), and mental health. This community service activity included planning, implementation, and evaluation phases. The program was conducted with 19 fourth-grade students at Muhammadiyah 1 Elementary School in Malang through lectures, demonstrations, and training methods. Interventions included education on balanced nutrition, PHBS, handling bullying, first aid training, and developing a healthy environment through TOGA (medicinal plants) cultivation. Evaluations were conducted to assess changes in students' knowledge, attitudes, and behavior. There was a significant increase in students' knowledge, with the percentage of students demonstrating good knowledge rising from 76% to 95% after the intervention. A total of 85% of students were able to independently practice handwashing and toothbrushing, and 60% could demonstrate first aid. High participation rates were observed in physical exercise and TOGA cultivation activities. The use of lecture methods supported by PowerPoint presentations and demonstrations contributed to positive changes in students' healthy living behaviors. The development program of UKS based on the Healthy School Movement (GSS) effectively improved students' knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors related to health. This model can be adopted to optimize UKS in schools through structured, interactive, and integrated health education methods to create a sustainable healthy school environment that supports the optimization of students' health and education quality.

Abstract

Sexual violence is a global issue that has increasingly garnered attention, with various evolving definitions, including the explanation by the World Health Organization (WHO) which states that sexual violence involves actions to obtain unwanted sexual behaviour, carried out through coercion or without the consent of the victim. In Indonesia, sexual violence was previously regulated in the Indonesian Criminal Code (KUHP), but with the development of time, Law No. 12 of 2022 concerning Sexual Violence Crimes (UU TPKS) was introduced to provide more protection for victims and more robust law enforcement. Furthermore, the application of restorative justice principles in handling Sexual Violence Crimes has begun to be considered, although this principle was initially focused on minor criminal acts. Restorative justice aims to restore relationships between the victim, offender, and society, but its application in sexual violence cases presents various challenges, including the potential to reduce the accountability of offenders and the risk of re-victimisation of the victims. This research employs a normative legal approach with analysis of the applicable regulations and the concept of H.L.A. Hart's legal positivism, which emphasises the importance of systematic law enforcement while still allowing space for flexibility, particularly in the application of restorative principles. Based on the analysis, the application of restorative justice in sexual violence cases in Indonesia needs to be carried out with great caution to ensure the protection of victims' rights and the accountability of offenders, without neglecting the importance of firm and effective law enforcement.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of project-based learning in improving students' understanding of the concept of sustainable economy. The study used a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design, involving 200 high school students in Cirebon Regency who were selected through random sampling techniques. The research instrument was a Likert scale questionnaire, with validity and reliability tested using Pearson Product Moment and Cronbach Alpha coefficients. The results showed that project-based learning significantly improved students' understanding of the concept of sustainable economy. The t-test analysis revealed significant differences based on gender, where female students had a higher level of understanding than male students. The ANOVA results showed significant differences in students from public and private high schools (F = 5.678, p < 0.05), while Pearson's correlation indicated a positive relationship between age and student understanding (r = 0.453, p < 0.01). This study provides practical and theoretical contributions in integrating project-based learning into the curriculum, while supporting constructivist theory in education. Limitations of the study include limited geographic coverage and cross-sectional design. Further research is recommended to use a longitudinal design and expand the scope of the area.

Abstract

This study examines the multidimensional effectiveness of educational podcasts as alternative learning media among Generation Z university students in urban Indonesia. The research focuses on the perceptions, experiences, and preferences of digital-native learners toward flexible learning through narrative-based audio media. Using a qualitative case study approach, the research involved ten active students from various study programs in Jakarta who regularly accessed educational podcasts via Spotify for at least the past three months. Data were collected through semi-structured in-depth interviews, participant observation, and supporting questionnaires, and analyzed using thematic analysis. Findings reveal that podcast effectiveness is shaped by several key characteristics: storytelling-based narration, optimal duration (15–30 minutes), engaging communication style, and contextually relevant, applicable topics. The impact is multidimensional: cognitively, podcasts enhance comprehension and information retention; affectively, they foster learning motivation and emotional connection; behaviorally, they promote self-directed learning habits, informal discussions, and peer content-sharing. Listening habits integrated into daily routines—such as commuting, exercising, or bedtime—reflect a mobile and flexible learning habitus beyond the conventional classroom. This study expands the discourse in digital humanities and social sciences by framing podcasts not merely as learning tools but as cultural practices that signify a shift in how Gen Z students engage with knowledge. Audio-based pedagogy is recommended for integration into higher education curricula.
