Abstract

This study examines the role of workforce skill development in fostering climate resilience within the livestock sector, identifying gaps in training, policy support, and resource availability. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through semi-structured interviews, questionnaires, and field observations. The research highlights key barriers to climate-resilient livestock management, including a lack of standardized training frameworks, inconsistent policy support, and limited access to adaptive resources. Findings indicate an urgent need for cohesive policy implementation and increased investment in climate adaptation resources. Farms with structured training programs showed a 30% improvement in adaptive livestock management, while workforces with access to climate-smart technologies reported a 25% increase in operational efficiency. Observational data revealed high adaptability among workers, emphasizing the potential of targeted training and technological integration in enhancing climate resilience. The impact is clear. A well-trained livestock workforce improves sustainability, mitigates climate risks, and strengthens food security. Policymakers should focus on standardizing training programs, aligning policies with climate adaptation goals, and allocating targeted funding to expand climate resilience efforts. Investment in digital training tools, climate forecasting technologies, and resource-sharing initiatives can further enhance workforce capabilities. This study contributes to the growing body of research on climate resilience by providing sector-specific recommendations for training standardization, policy alignment, and funding strategies. By prioritizing workforce development, the livestock sector can achieve long-term sustainability while addressing the economic and environmental challenges of climate change.

Abstract

CRISPR-Cas9 genetic engineering technology has been controversial for many reasons. Genetic privacy and security are major concerns because the genetic information of individuals and their offspring can be misused or exploited. The purpose of this research is to provide an understanding of how an existentialist philosopher might view issues related to human genetic manipulation. This type of research is qualitative research in the field of philosophy related to actual problems. The research model used is library research. The results of the research analysis state that in Karl Jaspers' existentialist thinking, individual freedom and responsibility for these choices are very important. In addition, anxiety is present because of the awareness of freedom and responsibility, as well as the reality of death. Hope is also an important element in human life that relates to transcendence. Relationships with others also affect a person's identity and existenceJaspers also emphasises the importance of direct experience in determining the meaning of life and human existence. In the context of genetic engineering, genetic interference can threaten freedom and alter human essence. Jaspers was also interested in the limits of human existence, including the limits of normality and pathology, truth and lies, and freedom and determinism. Ethical and moral issues related to genetic engineering also arise, including unknown risks and questions about its ethical use.

Abstract

The complexity of the positivization of Islamic and customary law in Indonesia’s national legal system is not merely normative. However, it is also significantly influenced by social, political, and ideological factors. Although Islamic and customary law have considerable potential to contribute to the development of the national legal system, their integration often fluctuates depending on the prevailing political-legal configuration. This inconsistency underscores the importance of a socio-philosophical approach to understanding how moral values, cultural norms, and socio-political interests shape a national legal system that is both just and contextually relevant. This article explores the socio-philosophical dynamics of positivizing Islamic and customary law within Indonesia's national legal framework. Employing a qualitative approach and literature-based research method, this study focuses on three main issues: first, the position of Islamic and customary law in the development of national law; second, the process of their positivization; and third, a socio-philosophical analysis of that process. The socio-philosophical approach examines how moral values, cultural traditions, and socio-political interests influence legal positivization. The study finds that Islamic and customary laws interact constructively in developing the national legal system. However, the positivization process remains fluid and contingent on the prevailing political and legal climate. Furthermore, the socio-philosophical perspective reveals that incorporating Islamic and customary law reflects the nation's social structure, divine values and cultural identity. This approach is essential for understanding legal development holistically, ensuring that national law is not only formally just but also socially and culturally relevant.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of pharmacy in drug management for mental illness with a holistic approach. Although pharmacological treatment plays an important role in managing mental disorders, this research emphasizes the importance of a more holistic approach involving pharmaceuticals, psychotherapy, and lifestyle changes. The research method used was qualitative with a case study design involving 10 patients, 5 pharmacists and 5 psychiatrists in two hospitals in Jakarta. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, questionnaires and direct observation. The research results show that although pharmacists are involved in drug management, their involvement in a holistic approach is still limited to pharmacotherapy aspects. Collaboration between pharmacists and psychiatrists was found to be important to improve patient compliance with treatment, but the implementation of a holistic approach that includes psychosocial aspects is still lacking. These findings imply that hospitals need to develop training programs for pharmacists and increase interprofessional collaboration to create more comprehensive mental illness treatment. This research provides important insights into how pharmacy can play a greater role in supporting a holistic approach to the treatment of mental illness.

Abstract

Background: The rapid growth of digital commerce in Indonesia has intensified competition among SMEs, requiring firms to enhance digital customer experience (DCE) to influence consumer behavior. While prior studies emphasize technology adoption and trust, limited research examines the integrated mechanism linking DCE, e-commerce adoption (EA), brand trust (BT), and purchase intention (PI) in emerging markets. Objective: This study investigates the influence of DCE on PI through the dual mediating roles of EA and BT among consumers of Indonesian SME products. Method: A quantitative approach using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) was employed. The model is grounded in the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), expectation-confirmation theory, and customer experience literature. Data were collected from 380 e-commerce consumers across five Indonesian provinces. Measurement validity and reliability were assessed using convergent validity (AVE) and discriminant validity (HTMT). Result: The measurement model met acceptable criteria (AVE > 0.59; HTMT < 0.85). DCE significantly influences EA (β = 0.438, p < .001) and BT (β = 0.361, p < .001), both of which significantly affect PI. The indirect effect of DCE on PI through EA and BT is β = 0.236 (95% CI [0.158, 0.316]), indicating partial mediation. A significant direct effect remains (β = 0.193, p = .008), yielding a total effect of β = 0.429. Conclusion: DCE plays a crucial role in driving purchase intention directly and indirectly through EA and BT. SMEs should prioritize comprehensive digital experiences to convert interactions into purchase decisions.
