Abstract

Berbagai macam jenis tanaman obat yang tumbuh subur dan berpotensi besar digunakan sebagai bahan jamu dan obat herbal, salah satunya lengkuas merah. Lengkuas merah, memiliki peran penting dalam ekonomi, tetapi terjadi fluktuasi produksi dan harga rendah yang berdampak pada pendapatan petani. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi saluran pemasaran, menganalisis marjin, farmer's share dan efisiensi pemasaran lengkuas merah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik wawancara menggunakan kuesioner. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari : 25 sampel petani dengan sampel jenuh dan snowball sampling untuk mendapatkan 6 sampel pedagang. Analisis data menghitung biaya pemasaran, marjin pemasaran, farmer’s share, efisiensi pemasaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 3 saluran pemasaran lengkuas merah produk kelompok tani Subur Jaya, yaitu : saluran I (petani, pedagang pengecer), saluran II (petani, pedagang besar, pedagang pengecer), dan saluran III (petani, pedagang pengumpul, pedagang besar, pedagang pengecer). Berturut-turut dari yang tertinggi marjin pemasaran adalah Saluran III sebesar Rp 8.000/kg, Saluran II sebesar Rp 6.900/kg, dan Saluran I sebesar Rp 5.500/kg. Farmer's share saluran I = 64,51%, saluran II = 55,48%, dan terendah saluran III = 50%. Dengan efisiensi pemasaran saluran I = 0,24, kemudian saluran II = 0,38, dan saluran III dengan efisiensi 0,38.

Abstract

Cibuntu is a mangosteen-producing village. Fluctuations and low mangosteen production are caused by pests. Most farmers have not implemented IPC to the fullest. This extension aims to change and improve the understanding, willingness of farmers and the application of IPM. The target of the extension is the members of the Mukti Farmers Group. The The executors are the POPT field staff of the West Java BPTPH agency. Held since 2020. The extension materials include types of organisms that disturb mangosteen plants, the concept of integrated pest control. Anjangsono counseling methods, lectures, discussions, demonstrations of how to, demonstration of results and installation of banners. As a result of counseling, there is an increase in the number of farmers who know the concept of controlling pests, know how to control opto mangosteen in an integrated manner, about natural enemies and integrated opt control is an efficient way. Farmers who have doubts about the concept of opt and how to control integrated opt and about natural enemies are decreasing in number. There are 13.3% of farmers who still don't know how to do IPM. There is an increasing number of farmers who agree to the conservation of natural enemies, weeding tools is better than with pesticides, destroying diseased crop residues, and not eating and drinking when applying pesticides. There was a decrease in the number of farmers who used inorganic pesticides and left the plants alone and did not wash the remaining pesticide mixture. There was an increase in the number of farmers who washed the remaining pesticide mixture first. There was no change in the number of farmers who washed their body parts affected by pesticides with running water or detergent.

Abstract

One of the commodities produced on the coast of Karawang is milkfish. Milkfish is one of the brackish fishery commodities with high economic value. However, milkfish productivity in Karawang is still low, as a result, milkfish cultivation is not well developed. The development of milkfish processing is an opportunity for the development of milkfish cultivation. The goal of this service is the first step to change knowledge, attitudes, skills and actions so that people do milkfish processing, through counseling on milkfish processing. The aim of counseling is to increase the knowledge of prospective new entrepreneurs about milkfish and the processing of milkfish into various processed products; prospective new entrepreneurs know and are skilled at applying milkfish processing techniques by using presto, prospective new entrepreneurs take the initiative to do one of the ways to process milkfish using presto and sell their processed products. The stages of the activity are in the form of preparation, counseling and facilitation as well as evaluation. The counseling methods are visit, FGD, lectures, method demonstrations, results demonstrations, distribution of brochures and facilitation. As a result of the counseling, there was an increase in the number of targets who realized and understood that milkfish is a potential commodity to be processed into various dishes, one of the preparations was presto milkfish, understood how to process presto milkfish, thought processing milkfish presto was easy and realized that presto milkfish business could be an alternative for additional income , increasing the number of targets who wish to process and sell presto milkfish, most of the targets agree and strongly agree that the counseling is useful.

Abstract

Mangrove coastal areas are areas that are vulnerable to changes and pressures originating from nature or as a result of human activities. Tangkolak is a hamlet that has a mangrove forest of 70 hectares. Mangrove forests have economic and social benefits if managed optimally. Therefore it is necessary to know what are the uses and activities of the community in conservation so that ecosystems and natural resources can be utilized optimally. This study has the objectives: To identify community activities in the utilization and conservation of mangrove forests and the influencing factors. The research method used is qualitative and quantitative methods. The research sample used the Slovin method with a total of 61 respondents. Data collection was carried out through direct observation and interviews. Data analysis with scores, categories and multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that the highest utilization of mangroves was found in fisheries, then firewood, medicines, and consumption materials. The highest conservation activities in conveying/inviting other people, nurseries, planting, maintenance, labor and material assistance. Simultaneously there is a significant influence between the variables of personal characteristics, motivation, and community environment on community activity variables, and partially community environment variables have a significant effect on community activity variables, while personal characteristic variables and motivational variables do not have a significant effect on community activities. Mangrove utilization activities need to be increased by providing training and counseling to the community so that the community understands and is able to maximize utilization and provide economic value. In addition, the community needs to be equipped with knowledge and technology so that processed mangrove products can be widely marketed.

Abstract

Pisang merupakan komoditas hortikultura yang paling banyak dikonsumsi, mas kirana salah satu produk unggulan di Kabupaten Purwakarta. Desa Gununghejo adalah sentra produksi pisang mas kirana dengan naungan CV. Cipta Agri Pratama. Usahatani memiliki berbagai daya tarik yaitu pendapatan tinggi dan menguntungkan, maka usahatani dapat dikatakan layak untuk dikerjakan. Petani pisang mas kirana ini belum mempunyai data pengeluaran dan data pendapatan usahatani. Tujuan penelitian ini, untuk menganalisis total biaya, pendapatan, pendapatan, kelayakan finansial dan tingkat risiko produksi usahatani. Penelitian ini merupakan deskriptif kuantitatif. Data primer dan sekunder diambil menggunakan metode wawancara menggunakan kuesioner dan observasi. Data yang dianalisis adalah total biaya, penerimaan, pendapatan, R/C Ratio , Break Even Point MultiProduk dan analisis risiko produksi. Hasil penelitian usahatani pisang mas kirana dalam satu musim tanam per hektar dengan rata-rata total biaya produksi Rp.7.637.273, penerimaan Rp.21.651.014, pendapatan Rp.14.014.798. R/C Ratio sebesar 2,83 maka usahatani pisang mas kirana layak untuk diusahakan. BEP Multi Produk untuk produksi grade A 205,01 kg dengan kenyataan hasil 2.772,5 kg, grade B 29.64 kg dengan kenyataan hasil 664,3 kg, grade C 12,35 kg dengan kenyataan hasil 326,26 kg, secara total BEP produk titik impas 247 kg dengan kenyataan produksi 3.762,06 kg. BEP penerimaan untuk grade A Rp.1.332.565 dengan hasil kenyataan Rp.18.015.048, kelas B Rp.133.380 dengan hasil kenyataan Rp.2.657.198, kelas C Rp.43.225 dengan hasil kenyataan Rp.978.768 dan total BEP penerimaan titik impas Rp.1.509.170 dengan kenyataan sebesar Rp.21.651.014. Usahatani dinyatakan layak karena produksi dan penerimaan melebihi perhitungan BEP Multi Produk . Risiko produksi termasuk kategori tingkat rendah karena koefisien variasi produksi sebesar 0.0615011 (<0,5).

Abstract

Apple cucumber, an annual horticultural crop, is primarily cultivated in the coastal area of Tanjung Pakis Village, Karawang Regency, which serves as a significant production center for this crop. These cucumbers, which are a hybrid of cucumber and melon plants, remain relatively unknown in Karawang due to limited marketing and a small number of farmers involved. The research aims to explore the marketing channels and their effectiveness in the apple cucumber supply chain. The study included a sample of 20 farmers selected through Census Sampling, alongside 2 middlemen, 1 wholesaler, and 7 retailers identified using Snowball Sampling. Primary data was collected via questionnaire-based interviews, complemented by secondary data from sources like BPS, the Agriculture Office, and the Tanjung Pakis Village Office. Analysis focused on revenue, profit margins, farmer's share, and overall marketing efficiency. Results identified four distinct marketing patterns: Channel I (Farmers-Middlemen-Wholesalers-Consumers), Channel II (Farmers-Middlemen-Retailers-Consumers), Channel III (Farmers-Wholesalers-Consumers), and Channel IV (Farmers-Retailers-Consumers). Notably, Channel IV emerged as the most efficient, characterized by the lowest marketing margin of Rp. 5,000/kg, a farmer's share exceeding 66.67% (indicating efficiency), and a marketing efficiency ratio of 0.08 (EP < 1 indicating efficiency). These findings underscore the potential for optimizing apple cucumber marketing strategies to enhance profitability and promote wider adoption among farmers in the region.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of socioeconomic factors on farmer's decision to sell the carrot farming and income, as well as the influence the farmer's decision to sell the results of carrot farming to the production cost. The method used in this study is a survey method. Mechanical determination of respondent do with the determination of the samples was determined by the census were traced to the farmer who has completed the sale obtained by 31 farmers who sell directly to the market and 14 farmers who sell blow. The results showed that the carrot farm income is influenced by socio-economic factors; land area, age of farmers, farming experience, education of farmers, dependents, pricing, and cost aspects. Decision grower selling single stroke and sales are directly influenced by the cost of production, while farmers who sell directly to the market charged harvesting, washing and transporting and prices received relatively unchanged in accordance with the laws of the market. Farmer's decision to sell the results of farming carrot effect on revenue.

Abstract

This study investigates the dynamic interplay between entrepreneurial skills, business mentoring, and the growth and success of startups in West Java. Through a quantitative analysis involving 120 startups, the research employs structural equation modeling (SEM-PLS) and hypothesis testing to unravel the intricate relationships within the entrepreneurial ecosystem. The results reveal a positive correlation between entrepreneurial skills and startup growth, emphasizing the catalytic role these skills play in business expansion. Additionally, the study affirms the significant impact of effective business mentoring on both entrepreneurial skills development and overall startup success. The findings provide valuable insights for policymakers, mentors, and entrepreneurs, suggesting targeted interventions to foster a robust entrepreneurial ecosystem in the region.

Abstract

Sheep, as one type of small ruminant that has become a popular herbivorous animal among breeders. To encourage the development of livestock business, an analysis was carried out to find the business feasibility of farmers in Pulosari Village. The research method used is quantitative descriptive with the use of primary data. Primary data were collected through interviews using questionnaires. Business feasibility analysis techniques are carried out by calculating production costs, revenues, revenues, break even points (BEP), and R/C ratios. The results showed that the average cost incurred for 6 months was Rp. 43,040,609, while the average revenue was Rp. 57,688,148 and the average income was Rp. 14,647,539 during the same period. The break-even point (BEP) price is Rp. 2,198,657 per head with BEP production of 15.58 heads. The results of the feasibility analysis show that the sheep fattening business is feasible to be developed, with an R/C Ratio value of 1.28.
