Abstract

This research and development study aims to produce an E-Book learning material using the Flipbook Maker application that is feasible, practical, and effective in enhancing students' skills in making puff pastry. This study follows the ADDIE development model, which consists of five stages: (1) the Analysis stage to conduct a preliminary study, (2) the Design stage to develop the e-book, (3) the Development stage to refine the e-book and validate it with experts, (4) the Implementation stage to conduct user trials, and (5) the Evaluation stage to assess and improve the quality of the e-book. The research findings indicate: (1) Validation by instructional material experts classified the puff pastry e-book as highly feasible, with an average score of 95.14%. (2) Validation by media experts also classified it as highly feasible, with an average score of 90.97%. (3) Validation by instructional design experts rated it as highly feasible, with an average score of 96.35%. (4) Individual trials categorized it as highly feasible, with an average score of 88.83%. (5) Small group trials also placed it in the highly feasible category, with an average score of 85.45%. (6) Field trials classified it as very good, with an average score of 86.24%. The practicality test conducted by subject teachers resulted in an average score of 91.67% (highly practical), while the student practicality test scored an average of 94.24% (highly practical). The effectiveness test of students' practical skills in making puff pastry showed that students in the experimental class who used the e-book puff pastry achieved an average practical score of 37.7, whereas students in the control class who used printed book obtained an average score of 35. The normality test results for the experimental class indicated that χ²calculated < χ²table (5.02 < 11.07), and for the control class, χ²calculated < χ²table (2.68 < 11.07), suggesting a normal distribution at a 5% significance level. The homogeneity test showed that Fcalculated < Ftable (0.99 < 4.14), indicating that the data distribution was homogeneous. The hypothesis test using an Independent t-test resulted in tcalculated > ttable (7.8 > 1.9), leading to the rejection of Ho and acceptance of Ha. This indicates that there is a significant difference in the practical results of students using the E-Book Puff Pastry in the experimental class compared to the practical results of students using printed books in the control class of Grade XI Culinary Arts at SMK Negeri 8 Medan.

Abstract

This research aims to develop interactive learning media based on the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model to improve English learning outcomes, particularly in reading comprehension of recount texts. The study employs a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, which includes analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The product was developed using Canva and integrated with tools such as Quizizz, FlipHTML5, and Google Forms to create an engaging and student-centered learning experience. Validation was conducted by content, media, and instructional design experts, who rated the product as highly feasible. Implementation trials, including individual, small group, and field testing, indicated that the media was very practical and well-received by students. Effectiveness was assessed through a quasi-experimental design involving pre-tests and post-tests in control and experimental groups. The results showed a significant improvement in the experimental group’s performance, supported by a mean N-Gain score of 0.5845. The findings suggest that the developed media not only enhances learning outcomes but also promotes active, independent, and meaningful learning. The research contributes to digital learning innovation by offering a practical and effective instructional tool that aligns with 21st-century education goals.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of students' understanding of body proportions in grade X of SMK Negeri 1 Stabat on their learning outcomes in fashion drawing. This study used a Nonequivalent Control Group Design with a quasi-experimental approach. Grade X DPB 1 was designated as the experimental group, while grade X DPB 2 served as the control group and served as the sample. The research instrument used was a learning outcome assessment consisting of a pretest and posttest. The control class obtained an average pretest score of 65.88, while the experimental class obtained a score of 66.97, indicating that the initial talents of both groups were approximately equal. The average posttest score of the experimental class increased to 76.52 after being given targeted therapy on body proportions, while the control class only obtained a score of 70.59. A significant difference was shown by the results of the t-test which showed a calculated t value of 3.0263 > t table 1.6686. As a result, it can be confirmed that students' learning outcomes in drawing are positively and significantly influenced by their understanding of body proportions.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study used a phenomenological qualitative method, namely by obtaining data through interviews, documentation, and questionnaires with descriptive data analysis. Data analysis techniques consisted of data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. The results showed that (1) the role of parents in implementing learning at home during the pandemic in educating children includes mentoring and motivators. (2) the impact of the role of parents on learning during the pandemic, the involvement of parents in facilitating study from home activities. The results of this study are that parents can improve their relationship with their children and parents can see firsthand the development of children's learning abilities. Keywords: Role Of Parents, Study From Home, Covid 19 ABSTRAKPenelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif fenomenologis, yakni dengan perolehan data melalui wawancara, dokumentasi dan angket dengan analisis data deskriptif. Teknik analisis data terdiri dari reduksi data, sajian data, dan penarikan simpulan.  Hasil  penelitian  menunjukkan  bahwa  (1)  peran  orang  tua  terhadap penerapan  pembelajaran  di  rumah  pada  masa  pandemi  dalam  mendidik  anak  meliputi pendampingan dan motivator. (2) dampak peran orang tua terhadap pembelajaran pada masa pandemi, keterlibatan orangtua  dalam memfasilitasi kegiatan study from home. Abstract

This research was conducted to study how teachers manage the classroom and its impact on the learning process. This research uses qualitative methods, which collect descriptive data in the form of written and spoken words from observations of teacher and student behavior in the classroom. The researcher used purposive sampling technique to obtain the required information. The research subjects were fififth-grade teachers and supporting subjects are students and school principals. The research results show that teachers at MI Terpadu Almadinah have good abilities in managing class V, especially in applying class management principles such as creating a warm and enthusiastic atmosphere, providing challenging and varied material, flexible cooling, emphasizing positive things, and foster self-discipline in students. Teachers are also able to design a positive learning process and physical classroom environment. However, there are still obstacles in using media methods and classroom equipment.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengembangan desain motif dengan teknik ecoprint, pembuatan motif dengan teknik ecoprint menggunakan daun jati dan teknik pewarnaan alam daun mangrove pada busana pesta di industri Ana Ruby Moda terletak di jalan Palm Raya No. 429, Dusun 1 Desa Sidomulyo, Kecamatan Biru Biru, Kabupaten Deli Serdang, Sumatera Utara. Jenis penenelitian menggunakan penelitian kualitatif, data yang dihasilkan berupa data deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan datanya menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, studi dokumentasi. Teknik analisis datanya dilakukan dengan cara reduksi data, penyajian data, dan pengambilan kesimpulan. Teknik untuk keabsahan data dilakukan dengan teknik triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) motif yang dihasilkan dengan teknik ecoprint berbentuk dari alam, susunan motifnya sudah di desain atau di rancang terlebih dahulu, hasil motif ecoprint termasuk dalam desain tekstil flora; 2) teknik ecoprint salah satu teknik hias permukaan tekstil yang dilakukan seperti teknik cap dengan bahan pencetak motif/bahan print dari alam, perlu adanya pengukusan (steam), bahan dalam teknik ecoprint adalah kain, bahan print adalah daun jati, bahan pewarnaan alam atau dasar kain adalah daun mangrove, bahan mordan dan bahan fiksasi, hasil ecoprint menunjukkan bentuk dan tekstur seperti bahan print (tumbuhan asli); 3) motif hasil ecoprint pada bahan kain dapat digali dari prisip penyusunan unsur desain dari wujudnya yaitu tekstur, bidang, ruang, warna, keutuhan, penonjolan, keseimbangan dan proporsi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengembangan dan kelayakan media pembelajaan video tutorial pembuatan pola celana wanita di kelas XI di SMK Negeri 1 Beringin. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu penelitian pengembangan (research & development). Model pengembangan pada penelitian ini yaitu model pengembangan ADDIE yang terdiri dari 5 tahapan yang meliputi Analisis (Analysis), Desain (Design), Pengembangan (Development), Implementasi (Implementation) dan Evaluasi (Evaluation). Pada penelitian ini teknik pengupulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi dan angket penilaian kelayakan media. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa video tutorial pembuatan pola celana wanita pada mata pelajaran pembuatan busana industi kelas XI pada SMK Negeri 1 Beringin yang dikatakan sudah layak digunakan dalam proses belajar mengajar. Hasil validasi ahli materi diperoleh persentase skor sebesar 85% dengan kualifikasi “baik”, sedangkan hasil validasi dari ahli media diperoleh persentase sebesar 90,7% dengan kualifikasi “sangat baik”. Sementara itu, hasil uji kelayakan kelompok kecil rata-rata sebesar 88,4% dikategorikan menjadi “baik”. Sedangkan hasil uji kelayakan kelompok besar rata-rata sebesar 90,5% dikategorikan menjadi “sangat baik”.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengetahui hasil belajar mata pelajaran pembuatan hiasan busana pada materi pembuatan sulaman fantasi menggunakan media video siswa kelas XI Tata Busana SMK Negeri 8 Medan. (2) mengetahui hasil belajar mata pelajaran pembuatan hiasan busana pada materi pembuatan sulaman fantasi menggunakan media power point siswa kelas XI Tata Busana SMK Negeri 8 Medan. (3) mengetahui pengaruh media video terhadap hasil belajar mata pelajaran pembuatan hiasan busana pada materi pembuatan sulaman fantasi siswa kelas XI Tata Busana SMK Negeri 8 Medan. Populasi yaitu siswa kelas XI Tata Busana SMK Negeri 8 Medan. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan sampel acak (random sampling). Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar pengamatan. Teknik analisa data menggunakan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji-t. Hasil penelitian rata-rata nilai siswa kelas eksperimen (94,7) lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol yaitu (83,6). Hasil uji-t diperoleh nilai thitung > ttabel (8,34 > 1,68). Maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penggunaan media video terhadap hasil belajar mata pelajaran pembuatan hiasan busana siswa kelas XI SMK Negeri 8 Medan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi karena kurangnya pemanfaatan penggunaan media pembelajaran, khususnya dalam pembelajaran prakarya, seperti yang kita ketahui bahwa pelajaran prakarya merupakan salah satu pelajaran yang kurang menarik dan dianggap sulit oleh sebagian besar siswa, sehingga perlu adanya inovasi dan kreativitas sebagai guru dalam bidang prakarya dalam proses pembelajaran, agar materi yg diajarkan dapat tersampaikan dengan baik terhadap siswa. Dalam hal ini penggunaan media pembelajaran dapat membantu guru dan siswa dalam memahami materi pembelajaran. Ketepatan memilih media merupakan faktor utama dalam mengoptimalkan hasil pebelajaran. Untuk memilih media yg tepat seorang guru perlu mempertimbangkan berbagai landasan agar media yang dipilih benar – benar sesuai dengan tingkat pemahaman, kemampuan berfikir logis, dan kondisi sosial siswa. seperti yg kita ketahui saat ini kecanggihan tekhnologi yg semakin pesat sehingga perlu adanya penyesuai guru dalam proses pembelajaran dan memanfaatkan perkembangan tekhnologi yang ada. Maka dari itu, untuk memnfaatkan kecanggihan tekhnologi yang ada perlu adanya pemanfaatan media. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengembangan pembelajaran prakarya menggunakan media video tutorial sebagai media pembelajaran.Media video tutorial pembuatan bingkai foto dari bahan limbah kardus dan mengetahui kelayakan media video tutorial pembuatan bingkai foto dari bahan limbah kardus pada mata pelajaran prakarya di SMP Free Methodist 1 Meda. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian research and development (R&D) dengan menggunakan mdel 4D.Peneltian ini dilakukan di SMP Free Methodist 1Medan dan samppel penelitian yang digunakan dalam riset ini adalah siswa kelas VIII yang berjumlah 36 orang. Hasil peneltian ini menghasilkan produk media pembelajaran berupa video tutorial pembuatan bingkai foto berdasarkan ahli materi 88,44% dengan kriteria ''sangat layak''dan hasil penelitian ahli media 91,55% engan kriteria ''sangat layak''dan hasil penelitian uji coba kelayakn guru 92% ''sangat layak''.Berdasarkan hasil tersebut maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media vieo tutorial paa saat pembelajaran pada mata pelajaran prakarya sudah layak untuk digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran di SMP Free Methodist 1 Medan. pembelajaran berbasis elektronik.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop character learning strategies, find out the learning outcomes of skills taught with hobbyist Batak culture learning strategies and Javanese culture-based learning strategies, find out the learning outcomes of skills that have visual and kinesthetic learning styles, and know the interactions between learning strategies and styles. Learning that has an impact on learning outcomes. This research is development research with a quasi-experimental treatment. The instruments used are learning achievement tests and learning style questionnaire sheets. The hypothesis was tested using Anava. The results of the study stated that learning Skills I in the Batak culture-based learning strategy class had higher learning outcomes than the Skills class with Javanese culture-based character learning strategies in 27 public schools in Medan City. Second Learning Objectives Student skills have a higher kinesthetic learning style compared to students who have a visual learning style in Medan City Middle School students. So for culture-based learning strategies, the results will be better if students have a tendency for kinesthetic learning styles, because kinesthetic learning styles are in accordance with character learning strategies.
