Abstract

Forest and land fires are one of the most concerning incidents. One effort to overcome this problem is to reblocktheexistingcanalsusingablock/damsystem.Itishopedthatthewaterlevelinthecanalsonpeatlands canbeincreasedsoastoreducetheriskoffiresduringthedryseason.However,theinformationavailable regarding canal blocking is still very limited. This study aims to determine the stability of canal blockingstructures against shear, stability of overthrowning force and seepage by conducting physical model tests.This research method uses the observation method. The research location was carried out in the city ofPalangka Raya, starting from March 19 2022 to May 24 2022. This research was carried out by directlyobserving the changes that occurred in the physical model of canal blocking. The results showed that thestability against sliding and stability of overthrowning force was stated to be safe. Seepage continues tooccur in the downstream part of the canal blocking, whose value increases with the increase in the waterlevel in the upstream section as time increases.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini dilatarbelakangi oleh minimnya pengetahuan dan cara orang tua dalam mengajarkan pembelajaran Al-Qur’an kepada anaknya di rumah. Berdasarkan itulah maka perlu diberikan Sosialisasi Pembelajaran Al-Qur’an bagi Anak Usia Dini Menggunakan Metode Tilawati kepada Orang Tua Murid. Metode Tilawati merupakan salah satu metode dalam mengajarkan Al-Qur’an yang saat ini ramai diterapkan dalam pembelajaran. Karena pembelajarannya yang menyenangkan dan dapat diajarkan kepada anak sejak usia dini serta belajarnya pun menggunakan lagu yaitu Nada Rost. Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberi pengalaman orang tua murid dalam belajar Al-Qur’an menggunakan metode Tilawati. Selain itu agar para orang tua murid mendapatkan pengalaman dan dapat menerapkan serta mengajarkan Al-Qur’an dengan metode Tilawati kepada anak-anaknya di rumah. Adapun sasaran yang menjadi peserta pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah orang tua murid di TK Al-Firdaus Palangka Raya dan mahasiswi PIAUD IAIN Palangka Raya juga terlibat aktif dalam praktik pembelajaran tersebut. Hasil pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini menunjukkan bahwa orang tua murid sangat antusias mengikuti kegiatan dan bersemangat dalam pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan. Kegiatan yang dilakukan dengan metode praktik langsung tersebut memudahkan orang tua murid dalam memahami materi. Hal tersebut terlihat dari hasil praktik langsung yang dilakukan orang tua dan mahasiswi, baik praktik menjadi murid maupun menjadi guru. Harapannya pembelajaran Al-Qur’an bagi anak usia dini antara di rumah dan di sekolah dapat berjalan dengan selaras dan seimbang, serta dapat mendukung dan memperkuat hasil pembelajaran Al-Qur’an satu sama lain. Sehingga tujuan pembelajaran pun akan tercapai dengan optimal.

Abstract

This research is motivated by efforts to develop children's artistic creativity through dance extracurriculars. Dance extracurricular is one of the extracurricular activities that is actively implemented in schools, as a forum for developing artistic creativity in early childhood. Based on this, this research was conducted to describe how extracurricular dance is used as a means of developing artistic creativity in early childhood at RA Mawaddah, Palangka Raya City. In this research, a qualitative descriptive method was used, with the research subjects consisting of a class teacher and B3 group students at the school. Data was collected through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the research show that the development of artistic creativity in early childhood at RA Mawaddah, Palangka Raya City is carried out through extracurricular dance which includes three types of dance: Ampar Ampar Pisang, Sinanggar Tullo, and Kreasi Modern dance. Through dance extracurricular activities that have been implemented at schools, it is hoped that artistic creativity can be developed, especially for young children, and that extracurricular activities that have been implemented will later be able to help other parties besides children, one of which is teachers and schools. Therefore, we hope that the existence of extracurricular dance as a development of artistic creativity at RA will be very beneficial for the development of early childhood.   ABSTRAK  Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh upaya dalam mengembangkan kreativitas seni anak melalui ekstrakurikuler tari. Ekstrakurikuler tari merupakan salah satu ekstrakurikuler yang bergerak aktif dilaksanakan di sekolah, guna sebagai wadah pengembangan kreativitas seni anak usia dini. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menggambarkan bagaimana ekstrakurikuler tari digunakan sebagai sarana pengembangan kreativitas seni pada anak usia dini di RA Mawaddah Kota Palangka Raya. Dalam penelitian ini, metode deskriptif kualitatif digunakan, dengan subjek penelitian terdiri dari seorang guru kelas dan peserta didik kelompok B3 di sekolah tersebut. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan kreativitas seni anak usia dini di RA Mawaddah Kota Palangka Raya dilakukan melalui ekstrakurikuler tari yang mencakup tiga jenis tarian: Ampar Ampar Pisang, Sinanggar Tullo, dan tari Kreasi Modern. Melalui ekstrakurikuler tari yang telah dilaksanakan di sekolah, diharapkan nakan dapat mengembangkan kreativitas seni terutama bagi anak usia dini, serta dari ekstrakurikuler yang telah dilaksanakan nantinya dapat membantu pihak lain selain anak, salah satunya pihak guru serta sekolah. Oleh karena itu, semoga dengan adanya ekstrakurikuler tari sebagai pengembangan kreativitas seni yang ada di RA akan sangat bermanfaat bagi perkembangan anak usia dini.

Abstract

This community service aims to introduce local wisdom typical of Central Kalimantan through the Kelakai plant. This community service activity is integrated with learning, making ecoprinting a learning activity that can be used to introduce the Kelakai plant and help stimulate children's physical motor development. This is also done as an effort to preserve local wisdom in Central Kalimantan. The targets for community service participants are children aged 5-6 years old class B 2 Yusuf bin Yaqub who are at PAUD IT Al Ghazali Modern School Palangka Raya and students of MBKM (Free Learning Independent Campus) Early Childhood Islamic Education Study Program Faculty Tarbiyah and Teacher Training IAIN Palangka Raya are also actively involved in these activities. The results of community service at PAUD IT Al Ghazali Modern School Palangka Raya regarding introducing children to plants originating from Central Kalimantan show that children can get to know one of the local wisdom typical of Central Kalimantan, namely the Kelakai plant, and children also get stimulation in aspects of physical development motor.

Abstract

Social media has been widely used in many aspects of life, including education. Many teachers nowadays have made use of social media. This study aims to explore the perceptions of pre-service English teachers on the use of social media in teaching English. This study was a survey research with a quantitative and qualitative approach. The data were collected through an interview questionnaire via Google form from 39 pre-service English teachers now studying at STAIN Bengkalis. The result showed that pre-service English teachers have positive perceptions on the use of social media in teaching English. It can be seen from the finding that 38 out of 39 respondents would like to use social media when they become teachers in the future. In their perception, WhatsApp, YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook are the most useful social media to be used in teaching English. Incorporating social media into education have some benefits, such as: encompassing enhanced comprehension, greater student self-sufficiency, boosted enthusiasm, efficiency in terms of costs, and the promotion of innovation among teachers. Nevertheless, it is important to recognize the hurdles associated with ensuring dependable internet access, fostering digital literacy, fostering creativity when designing lessons, and effectively managing how students utilize these resources. Findings from this study strengthen the fact that social media must be used in teaching and learning process and urge faculty to preparing future teachers with satisfied ability to use information technology or social media in teaching.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose in this study was to determine the effect of brand experience on consumer loyalty, either directly or indirectly, through customer satisfaction. This research use ddescriptive method and verification method. Data collected throughdistribution of questionnaires, direct observations, as well aswithliterature. The data analyzed in this studyused Structural Equation Model (SEM). The results support the studies that have been done before, which shows that the brand experience positive effect on consumer loyalty both directly and indirectly, through customer satisfaction. Keywords: brand experience, customer satisfaction, customer loyalty ABSTRAK Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pengalaman merek terhadap loyalitas konsumen, baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung, yaitu melalui kepuasan konsumen. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dan juga verifikatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui pembagian kuesioner, observasi secara langsung, maupun dengan studi pustaka. Pengolahan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan model persamaan struktural. Hasil penelitian ini mendukung penelitian-penelitian yang telah dilakukan sebelumnya, yang menunjukkan bahwa pengalaman merek berpengaruh secara positif terhadap loyalitas konsumen baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung, yakni melalui kepuasan konsumen. Abstract

Childbirth is a natural process and causes pain caused by contractions when the mother is giving birth. One of the non-pharmacological methods that can be used is the birth ball method, which is a method of using a rubber ball filled with air to reduce back pain during pregnancy and childbirth which is safe to use. The method used in this study is a literature review by examining 20 articles with the same topics and themes in the 2018-2023 range from Indonesia. The literature search used the keywords, namely, Childbirth Ball, Labor Pain, Knowledge. Each article is reviewed first, where the article raised is the most relevant. The results obtained from this literature study are that there is an effect of the application of the birth ball method to reduce the intensity of labor pain before and after being given the birth ball method. Based on the results of the discussion conducted by reviewing 20 articles related to the level of knowledge of midwives and labor ball techniques to reduce pain. It can be concluded that there is a significant reduction in pain after being given and implemented birth ball therapy for maternity mothers and the level of knowledge of midwives is high on the use of birth ball therapy

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of professionalism and work environment on teacher performance, with work motivation as a mediating variable at SMK Yadika 6. This research uses a survey method with a quantitative approach. The population of the study consists of all teachers at SMK Yadika 6, with a sample of 30 teachers selected using purposive sampling technique. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to evaluate the direct and indirect relationships between variables. The results of the study show that professionalism has a significant direct influence on work motivation and teacher performance. The higher the level of professionalism, the higher the motivation and performance of teachers. On the other hand, the work environment does not have a significant influence on work motivation but has a negative influence on teacher performance, indicating that some aspects of the work environment need to be improved. Additionally, work motivation unexpectedly has a significant negative influence on teacher performance. Professionalism also has an indirect negative influence on teacher performance through work motivation. The work environment does not show a significant indirect influence on teacher performance through work motivation. These findings suggest that to improve teacher performance, schools should prioritize increasing professionalism and conduct a thorough evaluation of the existing work environment.

Abstract

Introduction: The elderly are an age group vulnerable to cognitive decline, such as forgetfulness, difficulty concentrating, and decreased thinking ability. One non-pharmacological intervention that can be applied to stimulate memory is Group Activity Therapy (GAT) using an object guessing game. Objective: To improve the elderly's knowledge and stimulate cognitive function through enjoyable and educational group activities. Method: This activity was conducted on April 25, 2025, at Wisma Pisang, Budi Mulia 2 Social Welfare Institution for the Elderly in West Jakarta. Fifteen male elderly residents participated. Their knowledge was assessed using a pre-test and post-test. Result: Before the activity, 73.3% of participants had low knowledge. After the therapy and education session, 60% showed an increase in knowledge to the good category. Conclusion: The object guessing group therapy is effective in increasing elderly knowledge about the therapy itself while providing cognitive and social stimulation in a positive atmosphere.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas media pembelajaran interaktif dalam meningkatkan partisipasi dan motivasi belajar siswa pada pembelajaran Agama Islam di era digital. Penggunaan media interaktif seperti kuis, permainan edukatif, dan aplikasi berbasis teknologi lainnya memberikan dampak yang signifikan terhadap peningkatan partisipasi siswa dalam proses belajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen, di mana 50 siswa dibagi menjadi dua kelompok, yakni kelompok eksperimen yang menggunakan media interaktif dan kelompok kontrol yang menggunakan media konvensional. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang diukur dengan skala Likert dan dianalisis menggunakan SPSS untuk melihat perbedaan partisipasi belajar antara kedua kelompok. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media interaktif meningkatkan partisipasi siswa secara signifikan, dengan rata-rata nilai partisipasi 4.23 pada kelompok eksperimen dibandingkan dengan 3.80 pada kelompok kontrol. Selain itu, penggunaan media interaktif juga meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi Agama Islam, serta menciptakan suasana pembelajaran yang lebih menarik dan relevan. Oleh karena itu, penerapan media pembelajaran interaktif terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran Agama Islam di sekolah-sekolah.
