Abstract

The poultry industry, which plays a crucial role in meeting global meat and egg production demands, can benefit from research on optimal environmental conditions, particularly temperature and lighting, for chicken productivity, with a focus on local breeds like Sentul chickens and the use of brooders for temperature control. This research aims to create an integrated temperature control system for chicken brooder using an Arduino Uno microcontroller and web-based monitoring, which will automate the control of brooder and provide continuous monitoring to enhance efficiency and productivity in poultry farming, particularly for Sentul chickens, by accurately measuring and monitoring microclimatic conditions, preventing measurement errors and fluctuations in temperature, and mitigating potential stress-related issues. The developed control system simplifies monitoring and control processes, eliminating the need for direct human intervention, and consists of hardware components such as temperature sensors, incandescent lamps, a microcontroller, and a router, and software components including programming the sensors, microcontroller, and website for data display, and a temperature control program developed using the Arduino programming language that effectively regulates the heating lamp based on temperature thresholds. The study showcases the effectiveness and academic relevance of utilizing Arduino-based technology and web-based monitoring systems in poultry farming, providing valuable insights for chicken farmers and serving as a reference for future development of temperature control devices, ultimately enhancing the efficiency and productivity of Sentul chicken production and benefiting the local community and the poultry industry.

Abstract

AbstractHigher market expectation towards coffee products both of its quantity and quality is one of several challenges currently faced by the coffee industry. Maintaining the coffee supply chain through a periodical evaluation of supply chain performance, therefore, is crucial. The research provided measurement of performance efficiency of Kadatuan Koffie company’s suppliers using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). This measurement is required to know the supplier’s level of performance efficiency as a consideration in conducting the company’s raw material management. Management of supplier’s activity is essential to maintain the flow of supply chain running smoothly. The data obtained in this research were interview results with farmers or suppliers of raw material or coffee beans for Kadatuan Koffie and the company’s management. The data were processed using DEA by comparing output and input value. According to the measurement of performance efficiency towards seven suppliers of Kadatuan Koffie, three of them are categorized as efficient, namely the farmer in Cimaung, Cibodas and Dago that showed an efficiency value of 1.Keywords: Data Envelopment Analysis, performance efficiency, supplier

Abstract

Sentul is one of local chicken species in which developed in Ciamis, West Java. In order to develop optimally, Sentul Chicken requires appropriate temperature. In the starter period, Sentul Chicken needs a constant temperature between 32˚C – 35˚C, to keep that temperature’s requirement, a brooder is needed. Brooder is an artificial heating that has function to fulfill the temperature’s provision for the starter period of Sentul Chicken. The aim of this research are to design a control of brooder automatically to meet the needs of temperature and light for Sentul Chicken’s starter period, designing a monitoring system utilizing push notifications technology which can support the process of supervising the brooder performance in order to comply temperature’s condition and light for the starter period of Sentul Chicken, and able to provide enhancement of the Sentul chicken’s weight in starter period. This research is using engineering method. The outcome of this research has proved that the tool of brooder can work automatically to fulfill temperature’s requirement (approximately between 32˚C – 35˚C for starter period of Sentul Chicken. Monitoring system using push notifications can be established by pushbullet application that able to observe brooder execution in real time and running for whole 24 hours, and this automatic controller can offer positive impact for the escalation of Sentul Chicken’s weight.

Abstract

Kadatuan Koffie, sebuah perusahaan penjualan kopi yang telah beroperasi selama hampir sepuluh tahun, telah menghadapi tantangan dalam menjalankan operasinya secara manual. Aktivitas administratif, seperti pencatatan laporan keuangan, riwayat transaksi, manajemen pergudangan, dan lainnya, masih dilakukan dengan cara konvensional. Kondisi ini semakin rumit seiring bertambahnya volume data. Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) menjadi solusi sistem informasi yang mengintegrasikan semua unit dan fungsi dalam sebuah organisasi ke dalam satu sistem komputer terintegrasi, memenuhi kebutuhan spesifik dari berbagai unit. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengimplementasikan sistem informasi ERP berbasis web untuk meningkatkan efisiensi operasional Kadatuan Koffie menggunakan metode Object-Oriented Programming (OOP). Hasilnya adalah aplikasi ERP berbasis web yang telah berhasil diimplementasikan dan menjadi bagian integral dari operasional harian Kadatuan Koffie. Sistem ini mencakup pencatatan data pemasukan, pengeluaran, manajemen stok, dan penyusunan laporan keuangan sesuai kebutuhan perusahaan. Penilaian kinerja sistem informasi menunjukkan hasil yang sangat baik pada berbagai kriteria. Berdasarkan wawancara dengan responden, evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa sistem ERP yang dibangun dinilai "sangat baik" dengan mayoritas nilai tinggi pada setiap kriteria dengan perbandingan nilai "sangat baik" dan "baik" adalah 64.7% dan 35.3%, menandakan tingkat keberhasilan dan penerimaan yang tinggi terhadap sistem di kalangan penggunanya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis potensi penerapan Push Notification (PN) dan telesales sebagai media komunikasi dalam kampanye upselling perusahaan edutech yang menyediakan paket belajar berlangganan. Analisis dilakukan berdasarkan data pengguna premium PT XYZ, dimana 73,1% pengguna memilih paket belajar kategori rendah karena keraguan ketika membeli paket dengan harga yang tinggi. Dampak dari banyaknya pengguna paket rendah adalah rendahnya pendapatan yang diperoleh perusahaan, sehingga membutuhkan intervensi untuk meningkatkan pendapatan. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa telesales secara signifikan lebih efektif daripada aplikasi PN + Inbox dalam kampanye upselling, dengan tingkat konversi sebesar 0,93% untuk telesales, 0,13% untuk aplikasi PN + Inbox, dan 0% untuk kelompok kontrol. Segmentasi pasar yang efektif dalam kampanye ini melibatkan berbagai kategori paket, dengan tingkat konversi yang berbeda antara telesales dan aplikasi PN + Inbox. Berdasarkan temuan ini, disarankan untuk mengirimkan aplikasi PN + Inbox yang diikuti dengan pendekatan telesales kepada pengguna yang tidak melakukan pembelian setelah menerima aplikasi PN + Inbox, untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan efektivitas kampanye upselling PT XYZ. Hasil penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi keilmuan yang penting dalam memahami strategi implementasi upselling dalam konteks perusahaan edutech, dengan fokus pada penggunaan PN dan telesales sebagai media komunikasi..

Abstract

Marketing in the era of the development of social media is important for developing a business. Kedai Ruang Kopi is a food and beverage sales service business (coffeeshop), especially coffee and snacks. Kedai Ruang Kopi uses social media Instagram with the account @kedaikopiruang which is not optimal compared to other similar business accounts due to the lack of awareness of Kedai Ruang Kopi on marketing strategies. This study aims to optimize the use of Kedai Ruang Kopi (@kedaikopiruang) accounts to increase their insights using the A-T-R (awareness-trial-reinforcement) method. The principle of applying the A-T-R method is through creation to raise consumer awareness so that there is an act of trying, then followed by efforts to strengthen or confirm so that finally the product is trusted. Evaluation of the A-T-R method uses data insights and interviews with sample consumers. The results showed that there was an increase in insights into the @kedaikopiruang account, namely followers by 16.8%, accounts reached by 20%, and an increase in accounts engaged by 60%. The results of interviews with 56 samples showed that 17% of the sample consumers came because they saw Kedai Ruang Kopi's Instagram account. The number of sales of Kopi Ruang Shop increased until May 2023 but decreased in June 2023 due to several undetermined factors. Based on the results above, the marketing strategy implemented on @kedaikopiruang is still considered unsatisfactory when compared to other similar accounts.

Abstract

High rainfall is one of the main factors causing flooding in a Watershed. To overcome this problem, we develop internet-based applications to be a potential solution. This study aims to design a web-based application that is able to predict the monthly flow rate, as well as determine the flow rate at each measuring station in a Watershed. The method used in this study is software engineering by applying simple linear regression as a prediction method. In this case, rainfall acts as an independent variable, while flow discharges as a dependent variable. The prediction results showed that the flow rate at several stations that we coded A, B, C, D, and E were 3.37 m3/s, 4.49 m3/s, 11.96 m3/s, 19.79 m3/s, and 12.26 m3/s, respectively. These results provide an overview of the potential of water flow at various Sub-watershed points to be utilized as a data-based flood mitigation measures.

Abstract

Regional II Sinumbra Unit is a state-owned company. Tea is a Superior commodity that has high export opportunities. PTPN I Regional II Sinumbra Unit is a state-owned company that maintains and processes black tea products. The production of black tea involves the performance of the supply chain of high-quality black tea products. The purpose of this study was to determine the efficiency value of the tea supply chain performance of the five regions in the Sinumbra Plantation. Data collection by interview and secondary data analysis on the head of the production, head of the field section, and several staff at PTPN I Regional II Sinumbra. The method used is the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method with DEAP 2.1 software to analyze the efficiency of supply chain performance. Supply chain flows include goods, financial, and information flows. The results showed that region I afdeling II is an area that has high efficiency compared to the other five regions with an average of 0.689. Each region produces a fairly good efficiency value with an average vulnerability of 0.568-0.689.

Abstract

As the demand for efficient and cost-effective greenhouse microclimate surveillance has increased, we developed a microclimate surveillance system using microcontroller technology that automatically collects temperature and relative humidity data and transmits it to a cloud server for remote surveillance and data analysis. 1971 microclimate data points were acquired over a 20-day evaluation period, providing insights into greenhouse environmental conditions with a negative linear regression between air temperature and relative humidity within the greenhouse and an R-squared of 0.73. This illustrates the system’s ability to record and quantify environmental conditions data. Additionally, we derived a predictive model to manage microclimate conditions using the regression formula y = -6.12X + 238.33, where X represents the air temperature and y represents the relative humidity. All the results show that the acquired data can be used to make decisions to optimize plant growth. The prototype we developed can be an alternative option for small and medium-sized farms that need a greenhouse surveillance system to improve operational efficiency and reduce surveillance costs. The system can be further developed by implementing additional sensors to monitor light intensity, wind speed, or soil moisture and further data analysis models to optimize greenhouse management.

Abstract

A warehouse marketplace is a platform that brings together businesses or people who need a warehouse with a warehouse provider. Because this type of marketplace is relatively new, there are still many shortcomings, especially in the User Experience (UX) section. The features offered by this marketplace are still very limited, so it is difficult to attract potential users. The purpose of this study is to analyze and improve User Experience in the warehouse marketplace. Heuristic evaluation will be used as a UX analyzer method and Google Material Design as a reference of design principles for revising the previous UX. The evaluation results will be useful for two parties. For user to navigate the marketplace easier so that the conversion from visitors to buyers increases. For startups in warehouse category which want to use websites as a marketing and leasing facility to have a good User Experience.
