Abstract

Currently implementation progress of green concrete (porous concrete0 is still very slow. The sustainable construction launched by the government has also not received a positive response from the construction sector. Greenery Open Spaces (RTH) and urban spatial planning in Indonesia have not accommodated the type of water-friendly pavement (porous concrete). Buildings that must meet the 30% of Green Base Cooeficient (KDH) also have not included the criteria for water-friendly concrete pavements. From the results of the Multi-Dimensional Scaling (MDS) analysis using Rapfish-R, it is known that the sustainability status of porous concrete is at a score of 71.9 (sufficiently sustainable). There is no leveraging factors from the ecological dimension. Leverage from economic dimensions, i.e.: added value for customer, durability and installation costs. Institutional dimensions, i.e.: application of ecolabels, product standards and criteria for RTH and KDH. Socio-technical dimension, i.e.: public understanding and perception, certification scheme, role of media, design and maintenance. From this leveraging factors, then can be formulized the strategy and roadmap for supporting the sustainable construction related to green concrete application

Abstract

The utilization of Lido Lake will continue to grow, particularly in the tourism aspect, strenghtened by the 2016-2036 Bogor Regency Spatial Planning (RTRW) and the Government Regulation No. 69 of 2021 which have stipulated it to be a tourism area and a special economic tourism area, respectively. However, at the same time increased garbage accumulation at its lakeside, wastes entering the waters and sedimentation have become prominent problems. This study aimed to develop a management strategy so that the sustainability of Lido Lake can be maintained facing development changes. The SWOT method was used to identify and to analyze the existing internal and external factors in Lido lake including lake's biophysical conditions and preferences/participation of people around the lake. The evaluation of the internal and external factors placed Lido lake in quadrant V forming a strategy to sustain and to maintain. The SWOT matrix recommend 6 management strategies i.e. (1) developing ecotourism as the basis for tourism, (2) implementing and managing environmentally friendly cage fish farming systems, (3) controlling sedimentation in lake waters, (4) Making building design directions on the lakeside, (5) managing the causes of degradation in lake water catchment areas, (6) providing facilities and infrastructure for waste control.

Abstract

The Green Open Space (RTH) development program for 2021-2025 states that Dinas Lingkungan Hidup (DLH) of Banyumas Regency manages city parks in Purwokerto City. Despite the fact that developments and optimisations took place in both 2021 and 2022, landscape conditions still need attention. So, this study aims to evaluate the management of urban parks’ landscapes and to analyse perceptions of community members who visited the city parks across Purwokerto City regarding city park management. Study findings will be used to develop a sustainable landscape management strategy. This research implements a mixed method in data collection, a Chi-Square test, and a SWOT-based analysis. Results show landscape management works well when intensive maintenance is enforced despite labour shortages. Visitors’ perception is central in assessing the management of a city park, especially when analysis is done based on the most significant Chi-Square test results. Male respondents of Taman Satria Berkoh and male-female respondents to Purwokerto Square have a strong perception of the role of temperature comfort and performance of park managers in landscape management. Respondents aged between 26-34 years in Taman Mas Apung Kemambang, as well as respondents with status as residents of Purwokerto City and Banyumas Regency in Ahmad Yani Literacy Park, focused their perceptions on the importance of facilities provision in landscape management. Ultimately, this research proposes a landscape management strategy of "hold and maintain."Keywords: city park; landscape manajement; Purwokerto city; visitor perseptionAbstrakDinas Lingkungan Hidup (DLH) Kabupaten Banyumas mengelola taman kota di Kota Purwokerto dalam program pengembangan Ruang Terbuka Hijau (RTH) 2021-2025. Abstract

AbstractThe paper describes a landscape dynamic (Change Index-CI) of Ketapang and Kayong Utara Districs, West Kalimantan, in 1990-2018 and its correlation of peoples’ welfare condition and environmental condition change. Land-based investment has increased sharply in the past 20 years. This condition influences landscape dynamic and climate condition. CI is identified through spatial and temporal analysis by calculating human intervention level to land cover. Meanwhile, the condition of peoples’ welfare at sub-district level is measured from the district’s Human Development Index (HDI) which is analyzed from CI. In this analysis, the HDI is considered a dependent variable and CI level as the independent variable. Landscape environmental condition uses information on annual average temperature of landscape. The study applies simple regression method for the 2000, 2010 and 2018 HDIs with the CI of 1990-2000, 2000-2001 and 2010-2018 periods in 26 sub-districts. The results show that CI has positive correlation with the HDI of 0.086 regression coefficient value. It implies that there is significant correlation of the HDI and CI. The higher the CI value, the higher the HDI will increase. Thus, the regression result is the HDI = 60.103+0.086CI, with <0.05 value (significant). It means every growth by 1% at each sub-district, it will lead the rise of HDI by 0.086% at that sub-district. Meanwhile, the average of annual landscape temperature ascends along the growing CI. The temperature increases significantly by 0.95oC during 1990-2018 periods following the massive land-based investment. On the other hand, prior to the massive land-based investment during 1985-1990, the temperature increase was 0.32oC. Keywords: Change Index, Environmental Condition, Oil Palm, Spatial, Temperature, Welfare AbstrakJurnal ini menggambarkan dinamika lanskap (Change Index – CI) Kabupaten Ketapang dan Kabupaten Kayong Utara, Provinsi Kalimantan Barat pada periode 1990 – 2018 kaitannya dengan kesejahteraan masyarakat dan perubahan kondisi lingkungan.

Abstract

The potential of Metro Municipality's pekarangan contributes to food security, environmental sustainability, and community welfare in the post-Covid-19 era. Metro Municipality's pekarangan have a variety of plants that provide many benefits, including a source of fresh and healthy food for households. This research aims to raise awareness about the flexibility of pekarangan in adapting to changes, enabling them to withstand, recover from, and prepare for future disturbances. The typical size of a pekarangan, generally between 417 and 899 m2, provides an excellent opportunity to develop a complex agroforestry system. To fully realize this potential, policy recommendations include: 1) launching environmentally conscious education campaigns, 2) providing incentives and technical, 3) assistance integrating pekarangan management into urban development plans, and 4) establishing monitoring and evaluation systems for pekarangan. Maintaining the variety of plants found in 50% of the pekarangan is crucial. These plants include ornamental species (such as Aglaonema commutatum Schott, Sansevieria trifasciata Prain, Dieffenbachia seguine (Jacq.) Schott, and Adenium obesum (Forssk.) Roem. & Schult., fruit-bearing plants (like Carica papaya L., Musa paradisiaca L., and Persea americana Mill.), vegetables (including Capsicum frutescens L. and Allium fistulosum L.), and starch-producing plants (such as Manihot glaziovii Muell.Arg). The popularity of these plants is supported by the conducive growing environment in Metro Municipality.

Abstract

Soil fertility in land after nickel mining has a change in soil texture that changes both the profile color and the soil irregularity. Stable soil fertility can support plant growth. Damage to the physical properties of the soil due to the loss of the soil interest (solum) by the ongoing washing of the soil. This results in the loss of some cations in soil colloids, resulting in low acidity (pH) of the soil becoming acidic. Cation Exchange Capacity (CEC) as the amount of charge of cations absorbed by soil colloids at a certain pH. Another factor in the decline in CEC is the decreasing number of cation nutrients that can be exchanged. The relationship with reclaimed and revegetated land is influenced by climatic factors with rainfall intensity. Soil fertility on revegetated land with CEC value and C-organic content was very low. Such soil fertility conditions are found in the revegetated zone with large leaf acacia (A. mangium) vegetation; sengon (P. falcataria); ketapang (T. catappa) and waru (H. tiliaceus). Soils that have low soil nutrient content are characterized by low organic matter content, very low available P content, and low cation exchange capacity.

Abstract

Soil fertility in land after nickel mining has a change in soil texture that changes both the profile color and the soil irregularity. Damage to the physical properties of the soil affects the soil nutrients needed by plants. Several physical and chemical properties of soil are influenced by texture including soil plasticity, soil permeability, ease of cultivation, lack of soil fertility and productivity. Stable soil fertility can support plant growth. Damage to the physical properties of the soil due to the loss of the soil interest (solum) by the ongoing washing of the soil. This results in the loss of some cations in soil colloids, resulting in low acidity (pH) of the soil becoming acidic.
