Abstract

Abstract: This research was conducted due to limited mathematics learning instruments to facilitate mathematical representation ability students. This research aims to produce mathematic learning instruments like lesson plan (LP) and student worksheet (SW) by Problem Based Learning (PBL) to facilitate mathematical representation ability on Linier Equation System of Two Variables for 8th grade which valid and practicality. Development model used is 4-D model that consist of define, design, development and disseminate, but disseminate didn’t do because this purpose of study just produce LP and SW which valid and practicality and got it on development step. LP and SW compiled was validated by three validators and revised based on the suggestions of validators. Based on the result of data analysis shows average score for LP are 3.88 and for SW are 3.82. LP and SW was categorized as very valid. SW was valeted are conducted two trials for a small group on 9 students of 9th grade MTs Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru and a large group on 21 students of class VIII.A3 MTs Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru. The result of average score SW for small group are 95,92% was categorized as very practical and for large group are 94,84% was also categorized as very practical..Key Words: Validity and Practicality, Problem Based Learning,Mathematical Representation Ability

Abstract

Abstract: This research was classroom action research that aims to improve learning process and to increase learning result in mathematics with applied the learning strategy of reciprocal teaching. The subject of this research was student of class VII1 SMPN 25 Pekanbaru in academic years 2017/2018, which amounted to 34 students, consist of 9 boys and 25 girls. The research consist of two cycles, each cycle has four stages, which are planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The instruments of data collection in this research were observation sheets and students mathematic tests. The observation sheets were analyzed in qualitative desciptive, while the students mathematic tests were analyzed in quantitative descriptive. The qualitative descriptive showed an improvement of learning process prior to the action on the first and second cycle. Most of students were very confidenced and actived in learning process, such as while they were finished mathemathic’s problems that given, presenting the result of problems and giving the conclusion of learning. The results of this study indicate the number of students who reached Minimum Mastery Criteria of knowledge increase from basic score to UH-I and UH-II. The results of this research showed an increasing number of students learning mathematics about knowledge of the basic score (47,06%) to the first UH-I (61,76%) to the UH-II (76,47%) thus it can be concluded that the application of reciprocal teaching strategy can improve learning process and increase mathematics achievement from the students at class VII1 SMPN 25 in academic years 2017/2018 for the social arithmetic.Key Words: Students’ Mathematic Achievement, Reciprocal Teaching, Class Action Research

Abstract

Abstract: This research is classroom action resesarch that aim to improve the mathematics learning outcomes with applied the learning cooperative model of Numbereds Heads Together (NHT)type. The research consist of two cycles, each cycles has four stages, which are planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subject of this research is students of class VIIA SMP Negeri 35 Pekanbaru in academic years 2018/2019, which amounted to 40 students consist of 16 boys and 24 girls. The instrument of data collection in this research were observation sheets and student mathematic test. The observation sheet were analyzed in qualitative descriptive, while the students mathematic test were analyzed in quantitative descriptive. The qualitative descriptive showed an improvement of learning process prior to the action on the first and second cycles. Most of students were very confidenced and activated in learning process, such as while there were finished mathematic’s problem that given, presenting the result of problems and giving the conclusion of learning. Number of students that reach Minimum Mastery Criteria increase from basic score to first test and second test. The results of this research showed an increasing number of student learning mathematics about knowledge of the basic score (42,5%) to the first test (52,5%) to the second test (57,5%). The result os this research show that applying cooperative learning model of Numbered Heads Together can improve mathematic learning outcomes from the students at class VIIA SMP Negeri 35 Pekanbaru in academic years 2018/2019 for the subject matter Social Aritmethic.Key Words: Mathematics learning outcomes, Cooperative learning, Numbered Heads Together(NHT), Classroom Action Research

Abstract

Abstract: This research was conducted due to the student’s outcomes learning of class VIII1 SMPN 1 Pasir Penyu and the number of students who achieved the Minimal Score of Criteria is still low. This research is a classroom action research that aims to improve the learning process and to increase the outcomes of mathematics learning of the students by implementation of realistic mathematics education approach. The subjects of this research were 28 students of class VIII1 SMPN 1 Pasir Penyu at the first semester of academic year 2018/2019. This research has two cycles. Each of them has four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research instrument consists of learning instruments and instruments of collecting data. The Learning instruments used include syllabus, lesson plans, and student worksheets. While the instruments of collecting data covered observation sheets were used to find out the data of students and teacher activity during learning process, and outcomes of mathematic learning tests used to collect the student’s outcomes of mathematics learning data. The data were analyzed by narrative descriptive and statistical descriptive analysis. Based on the analysis of the observation Osheets showed that implementation the realistic mathematics educations of learning process on cycle II had happened improvement from implementation on cycle I. While from statistical descriptive analysis showed that the number of students who reach the A and B predicate, increased from the basic score to the cycle I, and from cycle I to cycle II. The percentage of students who achieved the Minimal Score of Criteria is increase. In conclusion, the implementation of realistic mathematics educations improved the learning process and the student’s outcomes of mathematics learning of grade VIII1 SMPN 1 Pasir Penyu on the first semester in academic years 2018/2019.Key Words: Realistic mathematics educations, outcomes of mathematic learning, learningactivity

Abstract

Abstract: The background of this research is the result of learning mathematics of class student VIII3 SMP Negeri 3 Siak Kecil which is still under the minimum mastery criteria (MMC) with a persentage of 48, 15 % only 13 students from 27 students who achieve the minimum mastery criteria on the subject matter of the two variable linear equation system. The purpose of this research aims to improve the learning process and increase the student’s mathematics learning outcomes through the implementation of the Cooperative learning of Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) type. This type of research is the Classroom Action Research with two cycle, who conducted in class VIII3 SMP Negeri 3 Siak Kecil in the second semester of the 2018/2019 academic year. Research subject as many 27 students, consist of 14 boys and 13 girls. The research instrument consists of learning devices and instrument data collectors. Learning device used is Syllabus, Lesson Plan and Worksheet. The instrument data collector used in this research is the observation sheet and math achievement test. The observation sheet was analyzed whit descriptive qualitative while the test of mathematics learning outcomes was analyzed statistically. Based on deskriptive qualitative analiysis showed that implementation of learning process on cycle II had happened improvement from implementation on cycle I. Weakness on cycle I is improved on implementation cycle II according with planning of improvement after reflection cycle I. Number of students that reach MMC increase from basic score to daily test II. The number of students who reach Minimum Mastery Criteria on basic scor, daily test I and daily test II are respectively 13 person (48,15 %), 18 person (66,66 %) and 23 person (85,18%). Results of this research indicates that application of the Cooperative learning of STAD type can improve learning process and increase mathematics learning outcomes from the students at class VIII3 SMP Negeri 3 Siak Kecil the second semester academic years 2018/2019.Key Words: Math Learning outcomes, Cooperative Learning of STAD type,Classroom Action Research.

Abstract

Abstract : This research was conducted due to limited mathematics learning devices to facilitate mathematical problem solving ability students. This research aims to produce mathematic learning instruments like syllabus, lesson plan (LP), student worksheet (SW), and assessment instrument using problem solving strategies in cooperative learning model student teams achievement division (stad) type for phytagorean theorm which valid and practicality. Development model used is 4-D model that consist of define, design, development and disseminate, but disseminate didn’t do because this purpose of study just produce devices which valid and practicality and got it on development step. Devices compiled was validated by three validators and revised based on the suggestions of validators. Based on the result of data analysis shows average score for syllabus are 3,67, LP are 3.86, SW are 3.87, and for assessment instrument are 3,57. Devices was categorized as very valid. Device was valeted are conducted two trials for a small group on 9 students in class VIII10 state junior high school 06 Pekanbaru only using SW and a large group on 37 students of class VIII6 state junior high school 06 Pekanbaru using LP and SW. The result of the analysis of practically in the learning device from theacher are 97,33%, for practically of the SW in the small group are 97,22%, and in the largegroup are 96,41% which was categorized as very practical.Key Words: Learning Devices, Problem Solving Strategies, Mathematical Problem Solving Ability

Abstract

This study aims to produce learning tools (syllabus, lesson plans, and LAS) based on open-ended problems on the material of Constructing Flat Side Space (BRSD) that are valid and practical to facilitate students' critical thinking skills. The 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate) in this study was carried out until small group test of develop stage. The instruments used include: (1) interview guidelines and observation sheets to conduct needs analysis; (2) syllabus, lesson plans, and LAS validation sheets; and (3) student response questionnaires in doing LAS. This study involved three students participating in a one-to-one evaluation and six grade VIII junior high school students as subjects of a small group test and three mathematics education lecturers as validators.  The results of the validation of the three validators showed that the syllabus, lesson plans, and LAS were valid with score respectively; 3.6; 3.48; and 3.38. The practicality of LAS shows an average percentage of 86.11% with very practical criteria. The results of this study indicate that the open-ended problem-based learning tool in the material of BRSD is valid and very practical in facilitating students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Komunitas waria seniman ludruk selama ini berada pada posisi yang termarginalkan dalam program penanggulangan HIV/AIDS. Mereka jarang dilibatkan dalam program pemberdayaan pemerintah karena dianggap bukan termasuk populasi kunci. Akan tetapi, realitas menunjukkan bahwa ketika tanggapan sepi, sebagian waria seniman menjadi pekerja seks komersial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali pentingnya meningkatkan feminine skills waria seniman karena program penanggulangan HIV/AIDS di kalangan waria tidak akan berhasil tanpa kemandirian secara ekonomi. Dalam bingkai penelitian kualitatif, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan para seniman waria Ludruk Irama Budaya dan Karya Budaya di Mojokerto. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Ludruk Karya Budaya menjadi contoh yang baik dalam memberikan kesejahteraan pada para anggotanya. Beberapa inovasi on-stage yang telah mereka lakukan adalah manajemen pemasaran yang mengombinasikan pola tradisional dan modern seperti nyebeng, sepelen, dan tedean. Mereka juga melakukan inovasi cerita dengan menekankan unsur komedi. Pola pemasaran juga mengandalkan media internet terutama melalui website dan blog sehingga para penggemar mengetahui jadwal pementasan dengan mudah. Hal ini belum dilakukan oleh Ludruk Irama Budaya di Surabaya yang mengalami persoalan internal serius yang mengancam keberlanjutan kelompok ludruk tobongan tertua ini. Inovasi Off-stage yang selama ini dilakukan para waria seniman untuk tetap mandiri secara ekonomi adalah melalui penguatan keterampilan feminin (feminine skills) seperti menjahit, salon, dan wirausaha sehingga mereka mandiri secara ekonomi.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas tentang kemunculan istilah “queer” dalam konteksbudaya barat dan non barat. Dengan mengeksplorasi sejarah yangmemunculkan istilah tersebut, analisis berpusat pada perkembangan queersebagai reformulasi identitas politik gay dan lesbian dan sebagai kerangkakonseptual baru untuk analisis kultural. Dari eksplorasi terhadap representasikarakter queer dalam film Asia dan penggunaan teori film queer olehilmuwan film Asia, pembahasan dalam artikel ini menunjukkan bahwa teoriqueer menolak pemahaman yang monolitik dan universal tentang seksualitasmanusia. Abstract

The purpose of the research conducted is to produce math learning media field line and point (TGB) on the material of cuboid and cube for mild intellectual disability 8th in SMPLB Pekanbaru. The  developed media learning are TGB method and manual book.  The research methods Borg and Gall development models with ten stages: (1) Potential and problems; (2) Collect information; (3) Product design; (4) Design validation: (5) design revisions; (6) Product testing; (7) Product revisions; (8) Usage testing; (9) Product revisions; and (10) mass production. This research is conducted until product testing stage, due to the Covid-19 pandemic it is hard to continue the research from 7th to 10th stages. Apparantly it needs wider coverage and more sufficient term on making this research works fully at times like this. The results of the data validation analysis show the average assessment for the learning media and the manual book is 2.77 with valid criteria. The results of the analysis of the practical data were collected from the results of the students response to the media, with average percentage of 100%. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion can be concluded that the mathematics learning media developed has fulfilled valid criteria that is worthy to be used and practical that is easy to use.
