Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan rata-rata hasil belajar matematika melalui pendekatan Problem Solving dan Problem Posing. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian quasi eksperimen dengan desain  The Nonequivalent Posttest-Only Control Group Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP   Muhammadiyah 1 Makassar pada tahun ajaran 2018/2019 dan Sampel dari penelitian ini terdiri dari 2 kelas, dimana kedua kelas akan mendapat perlakuan yang berbeda yaitu kelas pertama menggunakan pendekatan Problem Solving dan kelas kedua menggunakan pendekatan Problem Posing, dengan jumlah siswa 25 orang  untuk pendekatan Problem Solving dan juga 25 siswa untuk pendekatan Problem Posing. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah terdapat perbedaan rata-rata hasil belajar matematika melalui pendekatan Problem Solving dan pendekatan Problem Posing. Dimana pada pendekatan Problem Solving nilai rata-rata hasil belajarnya yaitu 82,96 dengan standar deviasi 4,78, dan rata-rata hasil belajar pada pendekatan Problem Posing yaitu 87,88 dengan standar deviasi 7,36

Abstract

Bontobangun Village is one of the villages in Bulukumba district, had several work programs developed to improve the quality of human resources, village development and to help government programs on a global scale. One of the programs they are working on is building a literacy spirit in the Bontobangun village community. The local government also has plans to create a place for developing village literacy such as reading park. However, the village govermment is still constrained by the problem of the concept of making a reading park, and funds to collect books to be stored in this reading park. In additional, the local government is also constrained by the lack of creative and innovative approaches to socializing this program and the lack of human resources who can manage the program so that it can be heard in the ears of the  local community.   So through all of the programs that are presented by KKN-PPM Muhammadiyah Universiy of Makasaar students by carring out the concept of village based literacy development, there are several work programs including one book one person movement aimed at helping the village government hold books for reading park collections originating from community donations, making reading park, literacy themed competitions for junior high school students, learning weeks activities for Bontobangun’s village children. These activities are expected to be the first solution to help the local government in realizing literacy awareness in Bontobangun village community. The implementation of this activity uses maximum of 2 months. Items of village based literacy development activities are sustainable will be submitted to village that have been formed to be followed up. While the activity in the form of learning weeks, competitions and the other activities are expected to be used as sample to organize more creative and innovative activities and can process on develop village literacy program in the future.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) Kelas IX A SMP Negeri 13 Makassar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Pengambilan subjek penelitian dilakukan dengan memberikan tes soal esai pada siswa kelas IX A yang kemudian dari hasil tersebut 3 subjek penelitian berdasarkan kategori yang telah ditentukan. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes tertulis kemampuan komunikasi matematis yang memuat 3 butir soal dengan materi lingkaran tipe HOTS dan pedoman wawancara. Hasil penelitian kemampuan komunikasi siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal HOTS yaitu pada ketiga subjek menunjukkan hasil yang berbeda-beda setiap subjek. Subjek S1 memiliki kemampuan komunikasi matematis yang paling tinggi secara tertulis dan lisan dengan mendapatkan 42 skor berdasarkan dari hasil analisis yang telah dilakukan. Kemudian, subjek S2 mendapatkan 38 skor dan subjek S3 memiliki kemampuan komunikasi matematis yang paling rendah diantara ketiga subjek yang ada yaitu mendapatkan 34 skor. Berdasarkan dari hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa ketiga subjek yaitu S1, S2, dan S3 memiliki kemampuan komunikasi matematis yang baik dalam menyelesaikan HOTS.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the ability to think creatively in solving arithmetic operations on algebraic forms in terms of gender differences in seventh-grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Sungguminasa. This type of research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach designed to determine students' creative thinking skills in the subject of arithmetic operations in algebraic forms in terms of gender differences. Data collection techniques in the form of tests and interviews. The instrument used is in the form of a creative thinking ability test, which consists of 2 questions. Interviews were conducted to further explore students' creative thinking skills. The research subjects consisted of 1 female student and one male student. The results showed that the creative thinking ability of female students in solving all algebraic arithmetic operations questions was able to meet two indicators of creative thinking including fluency and flexibility. The ability to think creatively in male students in solving all arithmetic operations questions in algebraic forms is also only able to fulfill two indicators of creative thinking including fluency and flexibility.

Abstract

Not all students can absorb the material well, therefore researchers are interested in conducting research related to how students obtain information based on their personality. This research is a qualitative research with descriptive method, aims to describe students' conceptual understanding with sensing and intuition personality, with 2 subjects. Data collection techniques are tests and interviews. The test used is a personality test to select the subject. Furthermore, a concept understanding test was given to see his ability based on seven indicators of concept understanding, after that an interview was conducted to get more information about understanding the concept. The measurement of concept understanding uses the results of diagnostic tests, namely able, less able, and unable. Understanding the concept of personality sensing (S1), which is less capable of indicators of restating concepts, developing necessary and sufficient conditions, and using, utilizing, and choosing certain procedures but being able to give examples and non-examples of indicators, presenting concepts in the form of mathematical representations, and apply concepts to problem solving. The emerging trend is to practically answer questions, focus on results, be specific and detailed in explanations. Careful in processing information and making decisions, as well as careful, realistic and concrete. The majority of indicators are understood by S1 so S1 tends to understand the concept. Understanding the concept of students with intuition personality (S2), which is less capable on indicators of developing necessary and sufficient conditions and using, utilizing, and choosing certain procedures but able on indicators of restating concepts, classifying objects based on their properties, giving examples and non examples, presenting concepts in the form of mathematical representations, and applying concepts to problem solving. The tendencies that emerge are imaginative, abstract, conceptual and answer in their own way. See the linkages and focus on the process. The majority of indicators are understood by masters, so masters tend to understand concepts.

Abstract

This workshop on using the Microsoft teams application aims to help teachers at school Unismuh Junior High School in Makassar and Unismuh Senior High School in Makassar can further optimize learning virtual during the pandemic and after the pandemic, so that not only the professional competence of teachers in the IT field can increase but can also motivate students to be more motivated to improve their learning achievements, in addition to the features of Microsoft teams, project-based learning during this period pandemic and after the pandemic can be done more interactively. The method used in this implementation is training as well as mentoring, where the steps taken are (1) providing material about Microsoft development and introduction to Microsoft teams features using lecture and quiz methods, (2) training on the use of Microsoft teams in providing learning materials and assignments to students, and (3) mentoring and discussions with resource persons about the use of Microsoft Teams in the subjects taught by each teacher.

Abstract

The aim of the study was to describe students' mathematical problem solving abilities in terms of learning styles. This research is qualitative with a qualitative descriptive approach. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 8 Takalar. The subjects in this study were 3 students from class XI MIPA 1, 1 visual subject, 1 auditory subject, and 1 kinesthetic subject. The instruments used were a learning style questionnaire, a math problem solving test, and an interview guide. Data is obtained by reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. Checking the validity of the data using the triangulation method. Problem solving is described based on four indicators according to Polya, namely understanding the problem, planning a solution, solving the problem, and looking back. The results of this study indicate that: (1) visual subjects can understand problems, can plan, are less able to solve problems, and look back but are not thorough. (2) auditory subjects can understand the problem, can do planning, less able to solve problems, and do not look back. (3) kinesthetic subjects can understand problems by using fingers as pointers when reading and understanding questions, can plan, can solve problems, and look back.

Abstract

Menghadapi era revolusi industri 4.0 menjadikan perubahan cara hidup dan proses kerja manusia secara fundamental, dimana dengan kemajuan teknologi informasi dapat mengintregrasikan dalam dunia kehidupan dengan digital yang dapat memberikan dampak di berbagai bidang kehidupan salah satunya dalam bidang Pendidikan. Menghadapi perubahan era industri tersebut, dunia pendidikan juga mendapatkan dampaknya. Tuntutan dalam dunia pendidikan berarti bagaimana strategi guru dan sekolah dalam pemanfaatan teknologi digital dalam proses pembelajaran di sekolah, baik dalam pelaksanaan proses pembelajaran sampai kepada bentuk evaluasi dan penilaian siswa. Terkhusus pada kegiatan penilaian, melihat kondisi di lapangan yakni di Yayasan Kasih Anak Kanker Indonesia (YKAKI) Makassar, belum ada guru yang memanfaatkan assesmen digital untuk melakukan penilaian pembelajaran. Hal ini disebabkan karena belum adanya pelatihan ataupun workshop yang dilaksanakan dan diikuti oleh guru terkait hal tersebut. Padahal telah banyak aplikasi evaluasi digital yang dapat dimanfaatkan diantaranya adalah quizizz dan kahoot!. Olehnya itu tim PKM dari Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar akan melakukan workshop pengembangan digital-based learning evaluation dengan tujuan agar dapat memberikan keterampilanan bagi guru-guru di YKAKI Makassar untuk melakukan penilaian berbasis digital. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan selama 3 minggu yang diawali dengan workshop dan selanjutnya tim melakukan follow up dalam bentuk praktek mengembangkan evaluasi pembelajaran pada masing-masing mata pelajaran oleh guru-guru yang telah terlibat dalam kegiatan workshop sebelumnya menggunakan aplikasi quizizz dan kahoot!.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa melalui implementasi model PjBL.  Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas model Kemmis & McTaggart dengan tahapan: perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi yang dilaksnakan sebanyak 2 siklus. Prosedur penelitian dengan tahapan: persiapan, pelaksanaan, analisis data menggunakan analisis data deskriptif kualitatif, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada kelas XI di salah satu satu sekolah di Kota Makassar. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa: 1) Penerapan model pembelajaran project based learning (PjBL) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dilihat dari peningkatan hasil belajar matematika siswa mengalami peningkatan dari rata-rata 81,50 pada siklus I meningkat menjadi 88,25 pada siklus II, nilai median meningkat dari 82 menjadi 84, standar eror menurun dari 1,12 menjadi 0,84, nilai terendah 70 meningkat menjadi 78, nilai tertinggi dari 92 menjadi 95, dan rentang skor menurun dari 22 menjadi 17; 2) Distribusi frekuensi dan persentase tingkat capain skor hasil belajar dari siklus I ke siklus II diperoleh bahwa terjadi peningkatan kategori hasil belajar siswa pada kategori tinggi meningkat dari 61,11% menjadi 63,88% dan kategori sangat tinggi juga mengalami peningkatan dari 11,11% menjadi 30,56%; dan 3) Hasil pengamatan proses pelaksaan penelitian diuraikan peningkatan aktifitas siswa dari siklus I ke siklus II bahwa dalam hal kehadiran siswa meningkat dari 83,33% menjadi 97,22%, siswa yang memperhatikan penjelasan guru meningkat dari 76,85% menjadi 92,59%, siswa yang berpartisipasi dalam proyek meningkat dari 75% menjadi 97,22%, siswa yang mempersentasikan hasil pekerjaan proyeknya meningkat dari 25,93% menjadi 43,52%, dan siswa yang bertanya/memberi tanggapan sebesar 21,30% pada siklus I meningkat menjadi 29,63% pada siklus II.

Abstract

The merdeka curriculum is a form of evaluation of the previous curriculum, namely the 2013 curriculum. In an independent curriculum, students are no longer forced to study subjects that are not their main interest. Therefore, a learning model is needed to support this independent curriculum's implementation. One suitable learning model to implement the curriculum is a project-based learning model. This study aims to improve student learning outcomes in mathematics learning through the Project Based Learning learning model. This type of research is classroom action research with data collection carried out through observations, and tests. The research subject is class XII in statistics subject totaling 26 students. The data analysis technique used qualitative and quantitative and was carried out for 2 cycles. The results showed that the application of the project-based learning model could improve student learning outcomes in learning mathematics. This can be seen from the average score of learning outcomes in the cognitive domain in the first cycle of 57.12% increased to 82.88% in the second cycle, the average score of learning outcomes in the psychomotor domain in the first cycle of 53.65% increased to 84.61%, and the average score of learning outcomes in the affective domain in the first cycle of 72.5% increased to 83.85%. This shows that the application of the project-based learning model can improve student learning outcomes.
