Abstract

Creative Problem Solving (CPS) is increasingly valued in independent curriculum education, yet the comprehensive psychometric validation of CPS assessment tools remains limited. This study aimed to develop and validate an instrument to measure CPS skills among students using the Rasch model. A total of 137 higher education students participated. Analysis showed the assessment items fit the Rasch Model well, with strong item-person alignment, effective discrimination among difficulty levels, and good reliability. The Wright map revealed clear patterns between item difficulty and student ability. One item showed Differential Item Functioning (DIF) favouring male students. Furthermore, fourth-semester female students outperformed those in later semesters. Significant differences in CPS ability were found between gender and between urban and rural students, emphasising the need for targeted differentiation strategies in education. These findings underscore the importance of using validated and inclusive assessments to inform equitable teaching practices and curriculum design that support diverse learners in developing CPS skills.

Abstract

. The limitations of comparative studies on ecoliteracy learning in elementary schools in Indonesia and the United States highlight conceptual and empirical gaps in understanding differences in pedagogical approaches, curriculum integration, policy support, and their impacts on the development of students’ ecological knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors from an early age. This study aims to analyze and compare ecoliteracy learning practices in both countries, assuming that systematic curriculum integration, grounded in direct experience and supported by strong policies, will yield more comprehensive and sustainable ecological literacy outcomes than practices that remain partial or incidental. The subjects of this study are national and international scientific articles on ecoliteracy learning in elementary schools published in 2020–2025, which were analyzed using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method with the PRISMA approach through the stages of identification, selection, feasibility evaluation, and descriptive-qualitative data synthesis. The study results show that in Indonesia, ecoliteracy implementation is mostly carried out through project-based learning, integration of local wisdom, and school programs such as Adiwiyata. At the same time, in the United States, it is more structured through standards such as the Next Generation Science Standards, which emphasize experiential learning, STEM integration, and strengthening systemic thinking. The discussion of the findings confirms that the effectiveness of ecoliteracy is greatly influenced by teacher readiness, facility support, community involvement, and consistency of education policies. Therefore, strengthening professional training and continuous curriculum integration are strategic recommendations for improving the quality of environmental education in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the efforts of SMA Negeri 2 Bandar Lampung in building its brand image as a means of increasing the interest of new students. The approach used is descriptive qualitative phenomenological with interview, observation, and documentation techniques. The results of the study show that brand image formation is carried out through three main dimensions, namely corporate image, user image, and product image. Corporate image is built through academic and non-academic achievements, teacher professionalism, and public communication that is adaptive to digital developments. User image is formed through the development of religious, disciplined, and inclusive character, which reflects the ethical and integrity-based behavior of students. Meanwhile, product image is demonstrated through modern facilities, quality educational services, and excellent programs that are relevant to the needs of students. The synergy of these three aspects strengthens public trust, increases the number of applicants each year, and affirms SMANDA's position as a competitive and character-building educational institution in Lampung Province.
