Abstract

This research aims to determine positive and significant connection between learning motivation and parents attention with mathematics learning results of class IX SMP Negeri 1 Lendah partially and simultaneously. This type of research is correlational research. Population this research is 191 students, the sample searched by simple random sampling technique. Data learning motivation and parents attention collected by questionnaire, and students mathematics learning results obtained by documentation. The data then analyzed by t-test and F-test to determine the connection partially and simultaneously. The results showed a positive and significant connection between learning motivation with mathematics learning results; there is a positive but not significant connection between parents attention with mathematics learning results; and there is a positive and significant connection between learning motivation and parents attention with mathematics learning results.

Abstract

This qualitative research is a preliminary study of a 4-D model development research that aims to describe the basic problems, student characteristics, the formulation of learning outcomes, and specific learning goals as the initial stage of developing a high order thinking skills (HOTS) exercise bank based on 3N in Algebra. Research subjects at the analysis stage of student characteristics are all students taking Algebra courses in Mathematics Education Department Universitas Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa for the 2019/2020 academic year. Data were collected using a literature study, observation, documentation. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively with the following steps: (1) preparing the data, (2) data coding, (3) searching for findings, (4) constructing the framework, and interpreting the data. The results of this study are: (1) Algebra learning centered on lecturers and students has difficulty solving non-routine problems, (2) there are only 1.59% of students who implemented to check the correctness of solutions in solving HOTS problems, (3) CPMK Algebra, and (4) formulation of specific learning goals. These results are used as a reference in the design stage of exercise bank development. Keywords: high order thinking, exercise bank, problem-solving.

Abstract

This study aimed to identify the types of mistakes students made in solving SPLDV problems based on the Kastolan technique and why they made these mistakes. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach which was carried out at SMP Negeri 4 Sewon. The research subjects were 2 students of eighth grade who were selected based on the completeness of the answers and the answers were then examined and analyzed. Data was collected using documentation, interviews, observations, and tests. The instruments used were observation sheets, tests, unstructured interview guidelines. The data were then analyzed descriptively. The results of this study are that there are two categories of errors that are mostly made by students when solving SPLDV problems, namely conceptual and technical errors. This research is expected to be a reference for further research related to errors in solving SPLDV problems.

Abstract

The weaknesses in students' abilities in applying mathematical concepts and rules to non-routine problems caused them difficulties in solving them. This study was aimed at analyzing students' numeracy skills in solving proportion problems with the contexts of Candi Umbul Traditional Market. The study was qualitative descriptive research involving two seventh-grade students in Indonesia as research subjects. The two student subjects were selected from 10 students who completed the numeracy task, one with the most correct answer and one with the most incorrect answer. The ten students who completed the numeracy task were the ones with the highest test scores among 32 students in the topics of proportion and social arithmetics. The research instruments used in the study were students' work sheets (in the form of essay tests) and interviews. The data analysis technique used was descriptive analysis. Findings show that not every student with high math scores had high numeracy skills. This is evident from the fact that students faced problems when completing proportion items in the context of Candi Umbul Traditional Market; they encountered difficulties in solving the problems. The results of this study are expected to serve as a reference for further research on students' numeracy skills.

Abstract

This empirical study aims to investigate the impact of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program on the development of students' soft skills in universities. The MBKM program, introduced by the Indonesian government, aims to enhance students' soft skills and prepare them for the challenges of the professional world. The study employs both quantitative and qualitative approaches to gather data from students who have participated in the MBKM program across various universities in Indonesia. The research findings reveal that the MBKM program has a significant impact on the development of students' soft skills. Out of the 83 respondents who participated in the program, 85% reported an improvement in their soft skills after participating in MBKM. Specifically, the program was found to enhance students' communication, empathy, socialization, creativity, problem-solving, and cultural respect abilities. The study highlights that students with work experience tend to have more developed soft skills.

Abstract

In the strategic plan of the DIY Environmental Service (DLH), it is emphasized that to reduce waste accumulation in TPSTs, waste sorting at the upstream level, such as households, is crucial. However, the issue persists at this level, as observed in boarding school-based institutions like the SahabatQu Islamic Boarding School in Sleman Regency, DIY. The negative repercussions of this problem include a decline in the quality of life and health among students. This service initiative aims to enhance the skills of students by cultivating maggots using organic waste sorted from the school's waste. The approach involves socialization, practical training, and mentoring. The outcome of this activity is an improvement in the knowledge and skills of SahabatQu Islamic Boarding School students in raising maggots to the pre-pupae stage, with some successfully reaching the phase of becoming BSF flies and entering the mating process.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan e-learning berbasis web wix pada materi Persamaan Linear Satu Variabel yang layak digunakan. Pelaksanaan penelitian mengacu pada model ADDIE, yaitu dengan tahapan: analisis, desain, pengembangan produk, penerapan dan evaluasi. Uji kelayakan e-learning terbatas pada respon siswa terhadap e-learning yang dikembangkan. Subjek uji coba respon e-learning adalah 32 siswa kelas VII SMP. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dan angket, dan dianalisis secara statistik deskriptif. Produk penelitian ini adalah e-learning dengan link https://classmathjhs.wixsite.com/my-site. Kelayakan e-learning diperoleh dari masukan dan penilaian ahli media, ahli materi, dan respon siswa. Hasil validasi menunjukan bahwa: (1) ahli media memperoleh skor rata-rata 3,7 yang terkategori Sangat Baik, (2) ahli materi memperoleh rata-rata 3,9 yang termasuk dalam kategori Sangat Baik. Pada tahap uji coba e-learning hasil respon siswa memperoleh rata-rata persentase 78,25% termasuk dalam kategori Layak. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa e-learning berbasis web wix pada materi PLSV yang dikembangkan layak untuk diujicobakan pada pembelajaran dengan skala lebih luas.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan perspektif mahasiswa pada aspek pola komunikasi dan interaksi dalam pembelajaran daring/e-learning Statistika Matematika. Tahap penelitian kualitatif yaitu: (1) identifikasi masalah; (2) penelusuran kepustakaan; (3) maksud dan tujuan penelitian; (4) pengumpulan data; (5) analisa dan pelaporan data; (6) pelaporan. Subjek penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiwa yang mengambil mata kuliah Statitika Matematika di Prodi Pendidikan Matematika UST pada tahun ajaran 2019/2020. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah angket Skala Likert. Data dalam penelitian ini dianalisis secara statistik deskriptif. Temuan dalam penelitian ini adalah: (1) 50% mahasiswa menganggap e-learning Statistika Matematika memberikan kemudahan dalam berinteraksi; (2) 47,02% mahasiswa menganggap e-learning Statistika Matematika memberikan kemudahan dalam menjalin keakraban; (3) 61,94% mahasiswa mengalami kesalahan komunikasi dalam e-learning Statistika Matematika; (4) 50,75% mahasiswa menganggap e-learning Statistika Matematika memberikan kemudahan dalam mengutarakan pendapat. Temuan tersebut selanjutnya akan dijadikan acuan untuk memperbaiki pembelajaran yang akan dilakukan.

Abstract

Masalah penulisan rujukan mahasiswa ketika menyusun skripsi sudah terjadi sejak lama. Padahal penulisan rujukan yang valid juga merupakan salah satu indikator kualitas tulisan yang dihasilkan oleh mahasiswa. Karena itu, tujuan dari kegiatan PKM adalah melatih mahasiswa menginstal dan menggunakan software PoP sebagai alat bantu untuk mencari dan menyusun rujukan yang valid dan relevan. Kegiatan dini dilaksanakan dengan 4 tahapan utama yakni; (1) identifikasi masalah dan solusi; (2) koordinasi Tim; (3) pelaksanaan workshop PoP; dan (4) evaluasi kegiatan. Untuk mengevaluasi kegiatan ini, diberikan angket yang berjumlah 15 butir soal. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa untuk semua peserta mengalami kenaikan pemahaman terhadap software PoP dengan rata-rata pencapaian 93,76% untuk setiap indikator ketercapaian. Berdasarkan hasil ini maka kegiatan workshop PoP yang dilaksanakan ini dapat dikatakan berhasil.

Abstract

Numerasi dapat diartikan sebagai pengetahuan dan kecakapan menggunakan berbagai macam angka dan simbol dalam menyelesaikan masalah kehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan numerasi pada siswa fase D. Adapun subjek penelitian ini adalah salah satu siswa yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Intrumen yang telah disusun yaitu lembar tes kemampuan numerasi yang bermuatan budaya dan Tri-N. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu berupa soal tes tertulis numerasi yang memuat budaya Candi Umbul dan wawancara siswa. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan pada penelitian meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa S mampu menyelesaikannya namun masih ada beberapa kesalahan pada indikator mampu menganalisis informasi yang disajikan dan melakukan kesalahan terhadap penarikan kesimpulan jawaban.
