Abstract

This study aims to analyze and identify the types of difficulties experienced by third-grade students of SD Negeri 27, Sorong City, in solving compound addition problems. Data collection was conducted using test sheets and observations of 25 students. Based on the analysis, it was found that student errors can be classified into five categories, namely: errors in understanding concepts (20%), errors in understanding questions (32%), errors in the process transformation stage (16%), errors in process skills (12%), and errors in writing the final answer (20%). Errors in understanding questions were the most dominant, while errors in process skills had the lowest percentage. The main factors causing difficulties include a lack of understanding of basic concepts, inaccuracy, and weak arithmetic skills. To overcome this problem, it is recommended to use visual learning media, gradual exercises, and reinforcement of basic concepts through a more interactive approach. This approach is expected to improve student understanding and reduce errors in solving compound addition problems.

Abstract

The Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) faces a priority waste problem, with daily production exceeding 1000 tons. Vocational high schools (SMK) with Culinary Arts Programs contribute significantly to organic waste from practical activities. This community service program aimed to reduce waste production at the source (school level) by implementing a creative, circular economy-based project: the cultivation of Black Soldier Fly (BSF) maggots and tilapia. The methods applied included socialization, training, technology application, mentoring, and evaluation for teachers. The activity focused on training teachers to process school organic waste into BSF maggot feed, which was then utilized as feed for tilapia. The program evaluation results showed that 100% of the participating teachers understood and were able to practice the entire cultivation cycle of BSF maggots and tilapia. The teachers are also ready to disseminate this knowledge to students as a creative project. This program successfully created an effective, integrated food waste management model within the school environment.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a mathematics computation learning module using the Matlab program. Matlab is a computer program that is used to solve various math problems. This study uses a simplified Borg and Gall development model with the following stages: (1) product analysis; (2) initial product development; (3) Expert validation and product revision; (4) limited field trials and product revisions; (5) main field trials and final products. The first three stages have been carried out in the previous year and produced a valid Mathematical Computing module. In the limited field trial, it was found that the student response to the Mathematics Computing module was categorized as good with an average score of 3.86, while in the main trial an average score was 3.98 which was categorized good for the 6 aspects assessed. Based on these results it can be concluded that this module is suitable for use in learning mathematics computation. This module is expected to motivate students to learn Mathematical Computing so that learning objectives can be achieved.

Abstract

This study is single-subject research with A-B-A design that aims to find out how to increase the critical thinking skills of a phlegmatic student in learning a system of linear equations with two variables with learning videos. The subject was a class VIII junior high school student with a phlegmatic personality who was selected based on observations and interviews with counseling teachers and school principals. Data collection techniques used are observation, tests, and documentation. Data were analyzed using analysis under conditions and between conditions. The result is mean level of critical thinking skills increased from 48.6 at first baseline to 74 at intervention and 91 at second baseline. These results are supported by the overlap percentage of 0%. This indicates that the learning videos affect increasing the critical thinking skills of the phlegmatic student in learning a system of linear equations with two variables. The results of this study are expected to be a reference in further research related to critical thinking skills in students with phlegmatic personalities.

Abstract

This bibliometric study analyzed 309 Scopus-indexed documents (2007–2026) to examine research trends integrating Virtual Reality (VR), electric bicycle conversion, and vocational education. The study used a bibliometric approach to map scientific developments at the intersection of VR, e-mobility, and vocational education. Findings indicate that this field is rapidly developing, with an annual growth rate of 3.72% and a very young average document age (2.08 years). China, India, and the United States dominate publications, while Europe leads in international collaboration. Through thematic mapping, VR was identified as a key link bridging sustainability, transportation safety, and smart city technology. VR and electric vehicle development were among the Basic Themes, while transportation safety emerged as a Motor Theme with strong momentum. However, the analysis revealed a critical gap: the lack of engagement with vocational education and e-learning topics. The lack of exploration of VR as a training tool for electric bicycle conversion in vocational high schools suggests a broad research opportunity. This study emphasizes the importance of integrating immersive simulation and competency-based learning to prepare a skilled workforce in the future sustainable transportation sector.

Abstract

Roblox has emerged as a prominent platform-based learning environment that bridges gamification, immersive virtual worlds, and interactive pedagogies. Despite its growing adoption in educational contexts, the global research landscape on Roblox Education has not yet been systematically mapped. This study aims to analyze the structure, dynamics, and thematic evolution of scholarly publications related to Roblox-based learning within the Scopus database from 2020 to 2025. Using a bibliometric approach supported by performance analysis and science mapping techniques in Biblioshiny, this study examines 37 documents indexed in 26 sources, involving 214 authors and an annual growth rate of 58.49%. The findings reveal high collaboration intensity (8.78 co-authors per document) and considerable academic influence, with an average of 69.97 citations per publication. Korea, the United States, Indonesia, India, Spain, and China emerged as leading contributors to the field. Science mapping shows four dominant thematic structures: (i) metaverse and virtual reality as motor themes; (ii) Roblox, education, artificial intelligence, and e-learning as basic themes; (iii) educational alternatives and niche digital environments as highly developed but isolated themes; and (iv) emerging or declining themes, including avatars, computational theory, and video games. Trend analysis indicates a strong shift from conventional e-learning toward immersive, metaverse-driven, and game-based pedagogies between 2022 and 2024. Reference spectroscopy highlights 2020–2023 as a pivotal period marked by rapid theoretical expansion following global pandemic-related digitization. Overall, the findings demonstrate that Roblox Education represents a rapidly maturing and multidisciplinary research domain, with substantial potential to support experiential learning, digital creativity, and the remediation of learning loss. Implications for future research include the integration of adaptive AI, immersive assessment frameworks, and curriculum-level adoption of platform-based learning.

Abstract

This study aimed to identify the types of mistakes students made in solving SPLDV problems based on the Kastolan technique and why they made these mistakes. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach which was carried out at SMP Negeri 4 Sewon. The research subjects were 2 students of eighth grade who were selected based on the completeness of the answers and the answers were then examined and analyzed. Data was collected using documentation, interviews, observations, and tests. The instruments used were observation sheets, tests, unstructured interview guidelines. The data were then analyzed descriptively. The results of this study are that there are two categories of errors that are mostly made by students when solving SPLDV problems, namely conceptual and technical errors. This research is expected to be a reference for further research related to errors in solving SPLDV problems.
