Abstract

Synonyms are lexical variants that refer to the same meaning in expressing something in word form. In other cases, synonyms are lexical aspects that support cohesion in discourse which functions as a link between one lingual unit and another. This research explains the analysis of synonym meaning relation in Kerinci language through semantic study. The purpose of this research is to reveal the form of synonym meaning relation in its distribution in Kerinci area. The method used is qualitative, data obtained from oral and written sources, data collection is done by interview, and data analysis is done by semantic lexical technique. The results showed that 94 data concepts (lemma) produced 6-word classes, and 300 synonym data. The six-word classes are noun, verb, adjective, adverb, numeral, and pronoun. From the 300-synonym data, 82 data were found to belong to the TC category, 50 nTC, 138 TnC, and 30 nTnC. Geographically, it was found that the distribution of synonym data in KU was 190 data, 16 KT, 28 KM, and 66 KH. In general, Kerinci language synonyms are categorized as lexical relations because although they can be understood by Kerinci people in speech, they are also basically a form of lexical distribution that refers to vocabulary variants with similar meanings. This happens because of several factors, such as time factor, place/region factor, social factor, nuance factor of meaning. The results of the research are used as a reference and comparison. This research was conducted to reveal the diversity of lexical forms that refer to the same meaning. In other words, identifying the meaning contained in these lexical variants from the point of view of synonyms in semantic studies.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan analisis komparatif bahasa Bengkulu, Rejang, dan Enggano. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Metode dan teknik pengumpuan data yang digunakan adalah metode cakap dan rekam. Metode dan teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah metode perbandingan, leksikostatistik, dan glotokronologi Hasil penelitian didapatkan kekerabatan bahwa bahasa Enggano, Bengkulu dan Rejang hanya terdapat 27 data yang menyatakan bahwa bahasa tersebut berkerabat. Sedangkan 171 data yang menunjukan bahasa Bengkulu dan bahasa Rejang berkerabat, 26 data yang menunjukan bahasa Rejang dan Enggano berkerabat, dan 27 data yang menujukan bahasa Enggano dan Bengkulu berkerabat. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan antara bahasa Bengkulu dan Rejang dari 200 kosakata, ditemukan 85,5% kata yang berkerabat. Maka dapat ditentukan bahwa kedua bahasa tersebut tergolong dalam kategori rumpun bahasa.Kata kunci: analisis; komparatif; leksikostatistik; glotokronologi

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the lexical choices in the article "Patriarchy and Violence against Indigenous Women" published on the Kemitraan.or.id website. The focus of this research is to identify and describe vocabulary that represents patriarchal ideology and gender inequality. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data sources in the form of one online article. The results of the analysis show that vocabulary such as patriarchy, violence, resistance, and marginalization have strong ideological content, reflecting resistance to patriarchal domination. The findings of this study confirm that lexicon selection functions as a linguistic tool in shaping social reality and fighting for the empowerment of indigenous women. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pilihan leksikal dalam artikel “Patriarki dan Kekerasan terhadap Perempuan Adat” yang diterbitkan di situs Kemitraan.or.id. Fokus penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi dan mendeskripsikan kosakata yang merepresentasikan ideologi patriarki dan ketimpangan gender. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan sumber data berupa satu artikel daring. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa kosakata seperti patriarki, kekerasan, perlawanan, dan marginalisasi memiliki muatan ideologis yang kuat, mencerminkan perlawanan terhadap dominasi patriarki. Temuan penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa pemilihan leksikon berfungsi sebagai alat linguistik dalam membentuk realitas sosial serta memperjuangkan pemberdayaan perempuan adat.

Abstract

This research was carried out with the aim of finding out about the origins of the village name and finding out the meaning of the village name. The basic problem that led to this research was knowing the origins and meaning contained in the naming of villages in Pengabuan sub-district. This research is descriptive in nature, where the researcher will describe what happens in the field. And this research uses qualitative methods so that data collection is not so complicated. The results of data analysis contained 13 data, including the use of embodiment aspects and social aspects. In the embodiment aspect, there is a natural environmental background in the form of plants and water settings in each village. In the social aspect, there are legendary stories where people carry out social interactions when carrying out daily activities
