Abstract

Village tourism is a tourism model that is currently developing in Indonesia. However, village tourism is constrained by the low awareness of residents to be involved in promoting it. Cisaat Village in Subang Regency, West Java, is one such village. The lack of skills to create digital-based promotional media is the cause of low public awareness of being actively involved in promoting Cisaat Village. This community service activity aims to train Cisaat villagers on making digital-based international promotional media. This activity was carried out considering that Cisaat Village has now begun to be visited by foreign tourists. This community service activity took place for two days offline. Based on the evaluation results of this service activity, it went well and smoothly. The indication is that activity participants gain new knowledge and skills in creating digital-based international promotional media and increase awareness of the ease of actively participating in promoting Cisaat Tourism Village even abroad.

Abstract

Cisaat Village in Subang District is a developing tourist village increasingly visited by Middle Eastern tourists. Unfortunately, the Tourism Awareness Group (pokdarwis) in Cisaat has not yet mastered Arabic communication skills, although they have already gained experience in learning Arabic. This research aims to develop Arabic teaching materials for tourism village groups in Indonesia. This study uses the research and development method of Thiagarajan's 4D model. The instruments of this study were questionnaires distributed to 30 members of Pokdarwis and unstructured interviews. The data analysis used was quantitative descriptive. The results showed a need to prepare Arabic teaching materials for Tourism Awareness Groups (Pokdarwis) at Cisaat Tourism Village. Educational materials are designed in e-audio books, and the learning topics presented are transportation, homestay (hotel), and transactions.

Abstract

The development of learning media, especially learning evaluation media, during the Covid-19 pandemic brought new directions in the learning process. Based on the results of the needs analysis, most teachers at the Attaqwa 08 Karang Tengah Foundation are proficient in using zoom and google forms to organize the learning process. However, problems arised when 73.3% of teachers still use printed books, 42% use PowerPoint, 10% take videos from YouTube, and only 10% make videos to explain learning materials. As many as 63% of teachers want application-based, smartphone-based, or online-based learning development training, especially learning evaluation applications. The Mentimeter platform is a solution that can be offered to these teachers. Mentimeter offers convenience in making learning evaluations with a variety of attractive displays with very diverse animations. The training program was carried out for 2 days with workshop and mentoring methods and was attended by 50 participants. The results of the activity showed that participants gained new insights that were useful in enhancing creative and innovative learning.

Abstract

This study aims to develop video-based Arabic reading learning media at Al-Azhar Islamic High School Kelapa Gading Jakarta. The research method used is development research with the ADDIE model. The subject of the study was a grade XI student of Al-Azhar Islamic High School Kelapa Gading Jakarta. Development research with the ADDIE model has five stages of research, namely: Analyze, researchers analyze student needs for the development of video-based learning media; Design, researchers collect material and design media to be developed; Development, researchers carry out the process of developing video-based learning media; Implementation, testing products that have been developed; and Evaluation, evaluating activities to determine the quality of media products that have been developed. The results of the material expert assessment get a percentage of 86.67% with the very decent category and the results of the media expert assessment get a percentage of 90.58% with the very decent category and the results of student assessment and evaluation get a percentage of 85.12% with the very decent category.  Based on the assessment above, video-based learning media is suitable to be used as an Arabic learning medium, especially in reading Arabic.

Abstract

Desa Cisaat Kabupaten Subang adalah desa wisata yang sedang berkembang tetapi menghadapi kendala promosi ke luar negeri. Keterbatasan kompetensi bahasa asing pada Kelompok Sadar Wisata (Pokdarwis) merupakan salah satu kendala yang dihadapi. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan bahasa asing pokdarwis Desa Cisaat dengan memberikan pelatihan Bahasa Inggris, Arab, dan Perancis. Pelatihan dilakukan selama tiga hari dengan menggunakan metode audio-lingual dan dilakukan secara luring. Hasil hasil wawancara diketahui bahwa peserta menyambut antusias kegiatan pelatihan yang diberikan. Selain itu dari hasil penyebaran kuesioner bahwa secara umum peserta dapat memahami materi topik perkenalan diri dan kepariwisataan baik dalam Bahasa Inggris, Arab, maupun Perancis yang diberikan. Meskipun demikian latar belakang pengalaman belajar sebelumnya menyebabkan Bahasa Perancis lebih sulit dipelajari daripada Bahasa Inggris dan Arab.

diajarkan tetapi juga literasi teknologi dan computational thinking. Dua keterampilan (literasi teknologi dan computational thinking) tersebut dapat dilatihkan kepada guru melalui pembiasaan merancang media pembelajaran menggunakan aplikasi berbasis pemrograman sederhana. Scratch adalah platform pemrograman sederhana yang diperuntukkan bagi mereka yang ingin mempelajari pemrograman meskipun tidak memiliki dasar ilmu pemrograman sebelumnya. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam membuat media pembelajaran menggunakan platform Scratch. Kegiatan ini dilakukan secara luring dengan melibatkan beberapa guru Bahasa Indonesia yang ada di Kabupaten Cianjur dan tergabung dalam Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP). Berdasarkan hasil umpan balik yang diberikan peserta, kegiatan pelatihan ini dapat disimpulkan berjalan dengan baik. Adanya antusiasme peserta dalam mengikuti pelatihan, peningkatan keterampilan peserta dalam menggunakan Scratch, tumbuhnya motivasi untuk membuat media pembelajaran menggunakan Scratch, dan meningkatnya keterampilan computational thinking para peserta menjadi indikator keberhasilan kegiatan pengabdian ini.

Abstract

Arabic language learning at the senior secondary level is still dominated by a theoretical linguistic approach that focuses on mastery of grammar, thus providing little space for the development of speaking skills (maharah kalam). This condition has implications for low active participation of students, increased language anxiety, and the formation of a static mindset that inhibits the courage to communicate verbally. This study aims to develop an Arabic language learning design based on the principles of Deep Learning to improve the speaking skills of class XII Religious students at MAS PERSIS 69 Jakarta. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model, which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The product developed is a comprehensive learning device that includes the Annual Program, Semester Program, and Lesson Implementation Plan (RPP), based on Project-Based Learning, and integrates the principles of Consciousness, Meaningfulness, and Joy. The validation results show that the device obtained very good scores from material experts (3.7) and Deep Learning experts (3.8). Implementation on 15 students showed significant improvement in speaking skills, marked by an increase in average scores from 77 in the pre-test to 86 in the post-test, as well as an increase in active participation from 13% to 53%. These findings indicate that the immersive learning design is not only effective in improving students' linguistic performance but also in reducing affective barriers and creating a safe, proactive, and meaningful learning environment. Therefore, the developed learning tool is deemed feasible and relevant for implementation in Arabic language learning at Madrasah Aliyah (Islamic Senior High School).

Abstract

Background: Among the branches of Arabic linguistics that students need to master is Nahwu (Arabic grammar). Online Nahwu learning has led to a learning loss phenomenon, resulting in varying levels of students’ understanding of the material. Some students in the Introductory Nahwu course have demonstrated low comprehension. This was evident when they were unable to answer questions related to the material during online class discussions. Purpose: This study aims to develop microlearning-based teaching materials for the  Nahwu Awal course as a strategic alternative to mitigate learning loss. Method: This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) design using the ADDIE model, limited to the product development stage. Data was collected from participants representing the target population through purposive sampling. The research instruments included questionnaires and observation sheets to assess product feasibility. The data were analyzed descriptively to evaluate the quality and validity of the developed product. Results and Discussion: he needs analysis showed that 66.3% of students experienced difficulties in learning Nahwu Awal. In addition, 97.5% of respondents indicated the need for visual and audiovisual microlearning-based teaching materials. The developed product was then validated by subject matter experts and media experts. The validation results indicated that the product was categorized as feasible to highly feasible for use in learning. These LMS-based microlearning teaching materials were considered effective in addressing learning needs and overcoming the limitations of engaging and interactive instructional materials. Conclusion and Implications: Students in the Nahwu Awal course need microlearning-based teaching materials that integrate visual and audiovisual content. The materials are presented as short content segments that gradually explain each learning topic in the LMS. Microlearning-based teaching materials can help overcome learning loss and support more effective learning in the Nahwu Awal course.
