Abstract

This research discusses the use of stone columns in increasing the value of the safety factor on soils that have the potential to experience liquefaction. This study aims to determine the safety factor value of sandy soil in the study area and the safety factor value after Stone Column planning. The method used to determine the value of liquefaction potential is the method of Seed et al, based on the interpretation of SPT (Standard Penetration Test) data and using the stone column as a soil improvement method. Based on the results of the study, it is known that each point has the potential to experience liquefaction except at points BH 7, BH 8, and BH 9. The LPI value is > 15, so the research area has the potential to experience liquefaction. Before planning the safety factor value is 0.43-0.87 and after planning the stone column using an equilateral triangle pattern the safety factor value increases to 1.21-2.3 while using a square pattern of 0.95-1.94.

Abstract

Natural disasters are disasters caused by events caused by nature. One of the natural disasters that continues to lurk in society is landslides. Landslides are the process of ground movement in an inclined or vertical direction from its original position as a result of gravity. Disaster Risk Assessment is an integrated mechanism to provide a comprehensive picture of a region's disaster risk by analyzing the Danger of Natural Disaster, Threat Level, Loss Level and Regional Capacity of dealing with threats of natural disaster. Geographic Information System (GIS) is a computer-based system used to store and display geographic information. GIS systems are designed for collecting, storing and analyzing geographic data at a location. Cilegon is a municipality in Banten Province, Indonesia. Cilegon is at the northwestern tip of the island of Java, on the edge of the Sunda Strait, with an area of 16.259 hectares, with a population of 450,271 people.

Abstract

Soil is an important part of construction which function as a support for the building above. Swamp soil has a soft texture and high water content, making it difficult for the soil support construction on it. The purpose of this study is to determine the soil classification based on Unified Soil Classification System (USCS) and to determine the soil characteristic by adding supplemental materials at varying percentages: 20% steel slag, 20% fly ash, and 0%, 5%, 10%, and 15% glass bottle powder, with curing periods of 0, 7, 14, and 28 days. The research findings indicated that the soil, according to the USCS classification system, falls into the OH soil classification, indicating pure clay, with a plasticity index value of 26.79%. With the addition of steel slag, fly ash, and glass bottle powder, there was a reduction in the plasticity index from 26.79% to 9.22% in variation E (20% steel slag, 20% fly ash, and 15% glass bottle powder) after a curing period of 28 days. The highest qu value was recorded in variation D (20% steel slag, 20% fly ash, and 10% glass bottle powder) after 28 days of curing, measuring 4.587 kg/cm2.

Abstract

Kampung berwawasan lingkungan merupakan bagian penting dari upaya pelestarian lingkungan dan pembangunan berkelanjutan. Salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan kesadaran lingkungan di tingkat desa adalah membagikan e-poster lingkungan hidup. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk menguraikan penerapan praktik kampung berwawasan lingkungan melalui penyebaran e-poster sehingga dapat meningkatkan kesadaran warga terhadap lingkungan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan di Kelurahan Pajang, Kota Tangerang, Provinsi Banten. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode observasi (pengamatan langsung) di lapangan kemudian mendesain e-poster berkaitan dengan lingkungan hidup untuk dibagikan kepada warga setempat. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian adalah penyebaran e-poster cukup efektif terhadap peningkatan partisipasi masyarakat dalam upaya pelestarian lingkungan. Environmentally friendly villages are an important part of preserving the environment and sustainable development. One way to increase environmental awareness at the village level is to distribute environmental e-posters. This activity aims to explain the implementation of environmentally sound village practices through the distribution of e-posters to increase residents' awareness of the environment. This service activity occurred in Pajang Village, Tangerang City, Banten Province. The method used is the observation method (direct observation) in the field and then designing e-posters related to the environment to be distributed to residents. The result of the service activities is that the distribution of e-posters is quite effective in increasing community participation in environmental conservation efforts.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pendampingan kepada masyarakat Desa Panenjoan terkait pengadaan fasilitas penerangan jalan umum tenaga surya (PJUTS). Hal ini dikarenakan penerangan jalan di desa ini masih sangat minim sehingga dapat berpotensi terjadinya kecelakaan dan tindakan kriminal pada malam hari. Tahapan kegiatan terdiri dari tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan ini adalah pelaksanaan pemasangan lampu penerangan berjalan dengan baik sesuai dengan rencana dan mendapat respon sangat baik dari masyarakat. Tindak lanjut dari kegiatan yaitu masyarakat diharapkan memiliki tanggung jawab untuk menjaga dan merawat lampu yang sudah dipasang sedangkan untuk pihak perangkat desa melakukan pemantauan secara rutin melalui RT/RW setempat agar meminimalisir terjadinya kehilangan atau kerusakan pada lampu penerangan. This service activity aims to assist the people of Panenjoan Village in procuring solar public street lighting facilities. Minimal street lighting has the potential for accidents and criminal acts at night. The stages of the activity consist of the preparation, implementation, and evaluation stages. This activity resulted in the lighting installation going well according to plan and received an excellent response from the community. As a follow-up to the activity, the community is expected to have the responsibility to look after and care for the lights that have been installed. At the same time, village officials monitor through the local RT/RW to minimize loss or damage to lighting lamps.

Abstract

Tersedianya air bersih bagi masyarakat khususnya wilayah pedesaan mampu mendorong masyarakat lebih kreatif, produktif, serta meningkatkan perekonomian desa. Prasarana air bersih belum sepenuhnya dimanfaatkan dengan baik oleh masyarakat yang tinggal di Desa Tejamari, Kabupaten Serang. Akses penyediaan air bersih yang berpihak dan terjangkau khususnya bagi masyarakat dengan ekonomi rendah yang masih terbatas menggerakkan tim untuk melakukan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat untuk bersama-sama mencari solusi permasalahan. Kegiatan ini merupakan studi awal program perwujudan infrastruktur desa dengan menemukan alternatif sumber air bersih. Berdasarkan aset serta potensi yang dimiliki desa setempat dan metode pendekatan asset-based community development, survei potensi dilakukan dengan objeknya yaitu Mata Air Cibojong. Berdasarkan hasil survei awal, diperoleh data debit sebesar 0,34 liter/detik. Data tersebut digunakan sebagai dasar dalam merencanakan sistem jaringan air bersih berupa bangunan penangkap mata air (PMA) dengan kapasitas tampung 5 m3 dan dua unit hidran umum (HU) komunal yang mampu menyuplai kebutuhan air bersih secara kontinu berkapasitas 60 liter/orang/hari untuk kebutuhan 30-60 kepala keluarga dengan teknik gravitasi. The availability of clean water for the community, especially in rural areas, can encourage people to be more creative and productive and improve the village economy. Clean water infrastructure has yet to be fully utilized by the people living in Tejamari Village, Serang Regency. Access to an impartial and affordable clean water supply, especially for people with a low economy, which is still limited, motivates the team to carry out community service activities to find solutions to problems together. This activity is an initial study of the village infrastructure embodiment program by finding alternative clean water sources. Based on the assets and potential of the local village and the asset-based community development approach, a potential survey was conducted with the object, namely the Cibojong Springs. Based on the initial survey results, discharge data of 0.34 liters/second was obtained. This data is used as the basis for planning a clean water network system in the form of a spring catchment building (SCB) with a capacity of 5 m3 and two communal public hydrant units (HU) that are capable of supplying clean water continuously with a capacity of 60 liters/person/day. 30-60 heads of families with gravity technique.

Abstract

Desa Cibuah berada di Kecamatan Warunggunung Kabupaten Lebak Provinsi Banten. Mata pencaharian penduduknya sebagian besar bergerak dalam sektor pertanian, perikanan, dan peternakan. Kegiatan Pendidikan yang ada di Desa Cibuah yaitu kelompok bermain (playgroup), TK, SD, SMP, dan SMA. Salah satu fenomena interaksi antar siswa di sekolah yang kadang dianggap lumrah oleh hampir seluruh manajemen sekolah ataupun masyarakat yaitu perundungan. Padahal, perundungan merupakan tindakan destruktif. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan sosialisasi mengenai kategori tindakan-tindakan perundungan kepada masyarakat khususnya manajemen sekolah yang ada di Desa Cibuah. Sosialisasi ini dilaksanakan di SDN 1 Cibuah, dengan narasumber dari pihak BKKN Kabupaten Lebak. Kegiatan sosialisasi ini diharapkan dapat menumbuhkan perhatian masyarakat dan manajemen sekolah terhadap kegiatan perundungan sehingga dapat dicegah agar dapat menciptakan aktivitas kegiatan pendidikan yang kondusif. Cibuah Village is in Warunggunung District, Lebak Regency, Banten Province. Most of the population's livelihoods are in the agricultural, fishing, and livestock sectors. Educational activities in Cibuah Village are playgroups, kindergarten, elementary school, middle school, and high school. One phenomenon of interaction between students at school, which is sometimes considered normal by almost all school management and society, is bullying. Bullying is a destructive act. Therefore, it is necessary to disseminate information about the categories of bullying actions to the community, especially school management in Cibuah Village. This socialization was done at SDN 1 Cibuah with resource persons from the Lebak Regency BKKN. It is hoped that this socialization activity can raise the attention of the community and school management towards bullying activities so that they can be prevented to create conducive educational activities.

Abstract

Desa Panenjoan merupakan sebuah desa yang terletak di Kecamatan Carenang Kabupaten Serang, Banten. Desa Panenjoan menghadapi tantangan serius terkait pengelolaan lingkungan akibat pertumbuhan populasi yang cepat dan kurangnya kesadaran akan kebersihan, terutama terkait masalah sampah. Kegiatan kerja bakti di desa ini merupakan upaya untuk memperbaiki kondisi lingkungan lokal dengan melibatkan partisipasi aktif warga dalam membersihkan sampah di lingkungan desa panenjoan. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan ini meliputi tahap identifikasi masalah, penyusunan rencana aksi, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan perubahan yang signifikan, di mana melalui kerja bakti masyarakat berhasil membersihkan sampah di berbagai titik rawan penumpukan sampah di Desa Panenjoan. Kesadaran masyarakat terhadap pentingnya menjaga kebersihan lingkungan juga meningkat secara signifikan. Meskipun demikian, masih diperlukan upaya lebih lanjut dalam meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat secara efektif. Kolaborasi antara perangkat desa dan masyarakat menjadi kunci untuk menjaga dan memperluas keberhasilan dalam meningkatkan kualitas lingkungan Desa Panenjoan.

Abstract

Soil is one of the critical factors influencing construction robustness. The land situated in Cibingbin Village, Cibaliung District, Pandeglang Regency, falls under the category of soil with low bearing capacity. Therefore, the soil in this area requires stabilization to enhance its load-bearing capacity. The field's CBR value, determined through DCP testing, was found to be 2.67%. The target CBR value for subgrade suitability is 6%, indicating the necessity for soil stabilization at this location. This study aims to assess the physical characteristics of the native soil and its CBR value after stabilization using sengon wood ash. Various percentages of sengon wood ash, namely 4%, 6%, 8%, 10%, and 12%, were utilized with curing periods of 0 and 3 days. Soil classification was performed using the USCS method, and the CBR test conducted was the unsoaked CBR test. The results revealed that the addition of 4% sengon wood ash, with a 3-day curing period, yielded an optimum CBR value of 7%. Sengon wood waste ash proved effective in increasing the CBR value. Furthermore, the use of sengon wood ash did not significantly reduce the plasticity index (PI) value. After stabilization with sengon wood ash, the PI value remained at 35.685%, categorizing it as highly plastic. Additional research is recommended to address the limitations of sengon wood ash and achieve a significant reduction in the PI value to meet the subgrade criteria

Abstract

Hampir semua hasil produk menggunakan kemasan untuk menjaga mutu kualitas produk dalam kurun waktu tertentu sampai ke tangan konsumen. Di Kampung Karang Mulya terdapat Industri Rumahan pengolahan biji melinjo menjadi makanan ringan yang dinamakan emping melinjo. Pengemasan emping melinjo masih menggunakan plasti tipis yang mudah robek dan stapler untuk menutup kemasan. Hal ini mengakibatkan mutu dari emping melinjo tidak bertahan lama karena air,udara serta zat lainnya dapat mudah masuk dalam kemasan yang langsung mempengaruhi turunnya kualitas mutu emping melinjo.Penyuluhan pada kegiatan KKM mahasiswa untirta kelompok 83 ini bekerjasama dengan Rumah Kemasan memberikan contoh cara pengemasan dan pelabelan yang baik yang dapat meningkatkan daya jual dari produk emping melinjo produksi kampung Karang Mulya.Pengemasan menggunakan plastik dengan ketebalan 0,8mm yang tidak mudah sobek serta penguncian kemasan dengan menggunakan sealer dimana hasilnya rata sehingga air,zat yang berada dilingkungan tidak mudah masuk kedalam kemasan. Pada penyulahan ini ditambahkan pula pembuatan papper bag yang bisa dijinjing sebagai alat untuk membawa beberapa produk emping melinjo yang sudah dikemas. Pada papper bag ini pun diberikan pelabelan agar produk emping melinjo memiliki nilai jual yang menarik di mata konsumen. Untuk pelabelan masih diberikan contoh dari Rumah Kemasan pandeglang. Pada penyuluhan pengemasan emping melinjo ini masyarakat Kampung Karang Mulya sudah mulai menyadari pentingnya suatu pengemasan dan pelabelan pada suatu produk sebagai alat untuk meningkatkan daya saing dengan produk-produk serupa di dunia.
