Abstract

Faktor utama penyebab terjadinya stunting pada anak usia dini adalah faktor kesehatan dan kecukupan gizi sebelum, masa kehamilan dan sesudah melahirkan yang akan berdampak pada kesehatan dan pertumbuhan anak. Berdasarkan RPJMN 2020-2024 stunting merupakan isu prioritas dalam pembangunan kesehatan, sehingga hal ini yang melatarbelakangi kami mengangkat kegiatan penyuluhan stunting di Desa Banyumekar dengan menghadirkan pemateri dari tenaga kesehatan setempat yang berkompeten. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada tanggal 18 Januari 2021 dan dihadiri oleh 24 peserta terdiri dari ibu hamil dan ibu yang memiliki anak balita.  Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat adalah untuk mengedukasi masyarakat melalui penyuluhan stunting sehingga diharapkan dapat menumbuhkan kesadaran masyarakat tentang pentingnya kesehatan dan tumbuh kembang anak, sehingga stunting dapat dicegah sejak dini. Metode yang digunakan pada kegiatan ini adalah penyuluhan stunting berupa sosialisasi bertemakan “Ayo kenali stunting pada anak usia dini” dengan mengundang bidan desa selaku narasumber dari puskesmas setempat. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah masyarakat desa antusias mengikuti penyuluhan, mendapatkan ilmu tentang cara memilih bahan makanan yang tinggi vitamin, protein dan karbohidrat untuk menunjang pertumbuhan dan kesehatan anak, sehingga stunting dapat dicegah oleh masyarakat Desa Banyumekar. Diharapkan setelah kegiatan penyuluhan ini, masyarakat dapat menerapkan ilmu yang didapatkan dalam kehidupan sehar-hari, sehingga upaya dalam mencegah stunting dapat direalisasikan.The main factors causing stunting in early childhood are health factors and nutritional adequacy before, during, and after childbirth, which will impact children's health and growth. Based on the 2020-2024 RPJMN, stunting is a priority issue in health development. This is the background for us to raise stunting counselling activities in Banyumekar village by presenting speakers from competent local health workers. Community service activities aim to educate the community through stunting counselling. It is expected to raise public awareness about the importance of health and child development so that stunting can be prevented early. The method used in this activity is stunting counselling in the form of socialization with the theme "Let's recognize stunting in early childhood" by inviting village midwives from local health centers as resource persons. The result of this activity is that the village community is enthusiastic about participating in the counselling and gaining knowledge about vitamins, protein and carbohydrates to support the growth and health of children so that the people of Banyumekar village can choose to stunt. It is hoped that after this outreach activity, the community can apply the knowledge gained in everyday life so that efforts to prevent stunting can be realized.

Abstract

Masjid merupakan sarana beribadah umat muslim yang mempunyai fungsi sebagai sarana berkegiatan masyarakat. Masjid Nurul Iman terletak di desa Kasemen kota serang. DKM Masjid Nurul Iman membutuhakan pendampingan dalam membangun masjid yang memadai dan didambakan oleh maysarakat, sehingga kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pendampingan kepada DKM Masjid Nurul Iman dalam membuat desain dan rencana anggaran biaya (RAB) renovasi masjid sehingga dapat memfasilitasi tempat ibadah yang lebih memadai. Kegiatan pengabdian ini membantu masyarakat dalam merencanakan masjid dalam aspek arsitektur dan struktural serta anggaran biaya pembangunan renovasi masjid. Tahapan pelaksanaan kegiatan terdiri dari survei lapangan, pengukuran area masjid eksisting, kompilasi data pengukuran, membuat desain gambar dan menyusun RAB. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan rencana anggaran biaya pembangunan renovasi masjid Nurul Iman Desa Kasemen membutuhkan biaya sebesar Rp. 1.199.249.000,00.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian dilakukan di Desa Panenjoan Kecamatan Carenang Kabupaten Serang pada tanggal 5 Februari 2023 di Aula kantor desa panenjoan dengan target nya adalah warga desa panenjoan. Limbah sekam padi banyak ditemui di lingkungan desa panenjoan sehingga limbah ini perlu dimanfaatkan untuk menghasilkan produk bernilai ekonomi salah satu nya adalah menghasilkan produk briket. Kegiatan pengabdian dilakukan dengan memberikan sosialisasi kepada warga desa tentang pemanfaatan limbah sekam padi menjadi briket. Briket sebagai pengganti bahan bakar berupa arang yang memiliki daya tahan lama dan ramah lingkungan. Tujuan kegiatan adalah untuk meningkatkan inovasi potensi lokal desa dan meningkatkan kesadaran berwirausaha warga desa setempat. Kegiatan dilaksanakan seacara tatap muka dengan menghadirkan narasumber yang memilki pengalaman di bidang pembuatan briket dan bidang kewirausahaan. Tahapan kegiatan terdiri dari tahap observasi, persiapan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah adanya peningkatan kapasitas pemahaman peserta tentang pembuatan briket dari limbah sekam padi dan tindak lanjut dari kegiatan ini diharapkan masyarakat dapat terus belajar dan berinovasi dalam mengambangkan produk dari limbah sekam padi sehingga akan meningkatkan nilai jual produk yang akan berdampak pada peningkatan perekonomian masyarakat desa setempat.

Abstract

Darah merupakan komponen yang sangat penting sebagai alat distribusi, transportasi dan sirkulasi yang menjadi bagian di dalam tubuh manusia. Dibutuhkan sekitar 5,5 juta kantong darah setiap tahun sedangkan kebutuhan darah nasional baru terpenuhi 85 persen. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa KKM Untirta melalui penyuluhan dan pelaksanaan donor darah memberikan edukasi sekaligus kesadaran masyarakat untuk melakukan donor darah. Pentingnya donor darah secara rutin dapat membantu UTD-PMI Kabupaten Serang menjalankan tugasnya sebagai penyedia darah bagi rumah sakit yang kekurangan stok darah sehingga mampu dengan cepat menangani pasien yang membutuhkan darah. Metode yang digunakan yaitu melalui kegiatan penyuluhan dan pelaksanaan donor darah yang dilakukan oleh Unit Transfusi Darah Kabupaten Serang. Hasil kegiatan sosial penyuluhan dan donor darah dilaksanakan tanggal 25 Januari 2023 dihadiri 35 peserta, 17 orang bersedia sebagai pendonor yang berasal dari masyarakat Desa Tirtayasa Kabupaten Serang dan mahasiswa KKM kelompok 101 Untirta. Sebanyak 29,41 persen dari pendonor berhasil diambil darahnya. Beberapa faktor yang dapat menyebabkan usaha transfusi darah menjadi gagal diantaranya kurangnya tensi dan hemoglobin dalam tubuh. Blood is an essential component of distribution, transportation, and circulation which is part of the human body. About 5.5 million blood bags are needed yearly, while the national blood need is only 85 percent met. The purpose of community service activities by KKM Untirta students through counseling and implementation of blood donors is to provide education and public awareness to donate blood. The importance of routine blood donors can help UTD-PMI Serang Regency carry out its duties as a blood provider for hospitals that lack blood stock so that they can quickly treat patients who need blood. The method used is through outreach activities, and the implementation of blood donors carried out by the Serang District Blood Transfusion Unit. The results of social counseling and blood donation activities were carried out on January 25, 2023, attended by 35 participants, 17 people willing to become donors who came from the Tirtayasa Village community, Serang Regency, and KKM students from the 101 Untirta group. As many as 29.41 percent of the donors had their blood drawn. Several factors can cause blood transfusion attempts to fail, including a lack of blood pressure and hemoglobin in the body.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to improve the bearing capacity of the soil located on Kampung Juhut Street, Pandeglang Regency, which initially had a bearing capacity of 3.01%, through stabilization methods. The plastic powder was selected as an additive due to its non-cohesive characteristics, which counterbalance the cohesive nature of clay soil. The study aimed to identify the soil type and classification, evaluate the impact of soil physical properties, and examine the changes in unconfined compressive strength after incorporating plastic powder in proportions of 2%, 4%, 6%, 8%, and 10%, with curing durations ranging from 0 to 28 days. The results indicated that the soil belonged to the category of organic clay soils with moderate to high plasticity according to the USCS soil classification system. The plasticity index decreased from 22.9% to 12.2% at the 8% variation and 11.9% at the 10% variation. The initial unconfined compressive strength of the soil was 1.1 kg/cm2. The greatest improvement was observed at the 8% variation, resulting in an unconfined compressive strength value of 3.4 kg/cm2, indicating a highly rigid consistency.

Abstract

Abstrak: Jumlah sampah plastik yang semakin melimpah menunjukkan bahwa perlu ada upaya untuk mengelola sampah plastik. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi masalah pengelolaan sampah plastik dan menciptakan peluang usaha berkelanjutan di Desa Sukamanah, Kabupaten Serang, Provinsi Banten melalui pelatihan pembuatan paving block berbasis ekonomi hijau dari sampah plastik, masyarakat memahami pentingnya pengelolaan sampah yang ramah lingkungan. Metode yang digunakan pada kegiatan ini adalah pemaparan materi dan praktik membuat paving block dari sampah plasitk dengan melibatkan mitra, yaitu karang taruna dan warga desa sukamanah. Peserta mengisi kuesioner sebanyak lima pertanyaan untuk mengukur tingkat pemahaman peserta.Hasil kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah terjadi peningkatan signifikan dalam pengetahuan dan keterampilan pembuatan paving block sebesar 92,27%. Selain itu, kesadaran peserta terhadap manfaat ekonomi hijau mulai tumbuh. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan berbasis ekonomi hijau efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan dan pengetahuan masyarakat dalam mengatasi masalah lingkungan.Abstract: The increasingly abundant amount of plastic waste shows that efforts are needed to manage plastic waste. This service activity aims to overcome the problem of plastic waste management and create sustainable business opportunities in Sukamanah Village, Serang Regency, Banten Province through training in making green economy-based paving blocks from plastic waste, the community understands the importance of environmentally friendly waste management. The method used in this activity is the presentation of material and practice of making paving blocks from plastic waste by involving partners, namely youth organizations and Sukamanah village residents. Participants filled out a five-question questionnaire to measure the participants' level of understanding. The result of this service activity was a significant increase in knowledge and skills in making paving blocks by 92.27%. In addition, participants' awareness of the benefits of the green economy is starting to grow. These results indicate that green economy-based training is effective in increasing community skills and knowledge in overcoming environmental problems.

Abstract

Soil is the foundation of civil buildings, and its function is to support and withstand structural loads. Many materials can be used as soil stabilization materials. For this soil stabilization, RHA and type 1 cement as stabilization materials were chosen. Soil samples were collected on Cibingbin Village Road, Cibaliung. The soil was mixed with RHA at 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, and 20% with 20% cement as an additive with 0, 7, 14, and 28 days of curing time. Soil from Cibingbin village can be classified as high plasticity inorganic clay (CH) based on the USCS classification table. UCT result shows the most optimum RHA content is in the 5% variation. The highest unconfined compressive strength value is at 28 days of curing time with 5% RHA content and 20% cement with unconfined compressive value of 20.9 kg/cm2. According to the provisions of Bina Marga PUPR in 2018, the plasticity index value of the Cibingbin soil is 12.94%, which meets the requirements for making road subgrades plasticity index value below 15%.

Abstract

The site of Kukulu Village, Parungsari Village, Sajira District, Lebak Regency, Banten was examined in this study. The Dynamic Cone Penetrometer test indicated that the soil carrying capacity value in this location was rather low, at 3.8%. It is crucial to remember that excellent subgrade soil (basic soil) has to have a CBR value of at least 6%. The use of slag cement is good for stabilizing soil because it contains silica and is cementitious. Slag cement is an environmentally friendly material, therefore in this study slag cement was used. The Unified Soil Classification System (USCS) will be used in this study to define the soil type and classification. The soil's grain size, Atterberg limits, compaction, and laboratory CBR tests will all be examined in order to achieve this. The CBR value will be calculated for a period of time and at different percentages of 0%, 8%, 10%, and 12% before and after stabilization using slag cement. In previous research, it was carried out and obtained an optimum CBR value when adding 10% slag cement and experienced a decrease when adding 15% slag cement, so in this study we wanted to find out whether there was still an increase in the CBR value in the range of 10% to 15%. The results of the CBR test obtained the highest CBR value of 23% from the addition of 12% cement slag and 7 days of curing.

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the physical and mechanical properties of origin and mixed soil with added steel slag (SS) and bamboo leaf ash (BLA) and to determine soil classification based on the Unified Soil Classification System (USCS) guidelines. This study used a mixture of steel slag and bamboo leaf ash with variations (0% SS ; 0% BLA), (20% SS; 10% BLA), (40% SS; 10% BLA), (60% SS, 10 % BLA), (100% SS; 10% BLA) with a curing time of 0 and 7 days. The mechanical properties test in this study was the unsoaked CBR test. In the USCS soil type classification system at the road location, it is included in the OH group (organic clay with high plasticity) with a plasticity index value of 22.86%, a liquid limit above 50%, which is equal to 64.5% and a DCP (Dynamic Cone Penetrometer) was obtained by 3.01%. The results showed that mixing native soil with added materials increased the CBR value. The optimum soil CBR value is found in the percentage of added material, 100% steel slag, and 10% bamboo leaf ash during seven days of curing with an unsoaked CBR value of 24.95%.

Abstract

The Banten Provincial Agriculture Office aims to repurpose an existing storage warehouse into a packaging warehouse and production facility for food products. This study focuses on assessing the structural performance of the building and determining its suitability for the new functions. Utilizing the Load and Resistance Factor Design (LRFD) method, the strength of the current structure is evaluated under the anticipated loads. The analysis reveals that while most elements of the building meet the required standards, the existing columns are unable to support the intended load. Based on calculations, the nominal compressive strength value of the existing IWF column is determined to be 202.462 kN, falling short of the required strength of 255.075 kN. To address this, a recommendation is made to reinforce the columns by wrapping their steel profiles with reinforced concrete, transforming them into composite columns with a nominal compressive strength capacity of 1678.24 kN. This reinforcement approach ensures that the building can effectively accommodate the packaging and production operations for food products. The findings of this study provide essential guidance for the Banten Provincial Agriculture Office in making informed decisions on the necessary structural improvements. By implementing the proposed reinforcement measures, the building's structural integrity is enhanced, prolonging its service life and ensuring its suitability for the intended functions.
