Abstract

This research is motivated by observations at SDN 2 Picisan, which revealed low learning outcomes among fourth-grade students on the topic of cultural diversity in East Java. This issue is attributed to the lack of optimal use of instructional media and the dominance of monotonous lecture methods. To address this problem, the study formulates the following research questions.1. How valid is the KADOBUDI Board media for Social Studies learning content on East Java cultural diversity for fourth-grade students?, 2. How practical is the KADOBUDI Board media for Social Studies learning content on East Java cultural diversity for fourth-grade students?, 3. How effective is the KADOBUDI Board media for Social Studies learning content on East Java cultural diversity for fourth-grade students?. Using the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation), this research includes problem identification, media design, product development and validation by subject matter and media experts, as well as limited and broad field trials. Data were analyzed both qualitatively and quantitatively to assess the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the media. The results show that the KADOBUDI Board media is highly valid (92.33%), highly practical (95%), and effective (87.3%) in improving student learning outcomes, with minor revisions made to image sizing for clarity.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that conventional classroom learning often makes students feel bored and unable to understand the material presented. This causes learning to be ineffective and the interaction between teachers and students to be passive. Many students have difficulty understanding the material, as seen in the results of the final assessment on the material "My Indonesia is Rich in Culture". As many as 80% of students cannot accept conventional teacher learning, and only 9-15% of students can understand the material well. Therefore, changes are needed in learning methods to improve the effectiveness and learning outcomes of students. Based on this background, several problem formulations emerged, namely: (1) How is the validity of I-spring-based interactive multimedia on the material "My Indonesia is Rich in Culture Based on Local Wisdom of Kediri Regency" at SDN Sumberejo 1? (2) How is the practicality of using I-spring-based interactive multimedia on the material "My Indonesia is Rich in Culture Based on Local Wisdom of Kediri Regency" for students as an independent learning medium at SDN Sumberejo 1? (3) How effective is I-spring based interactive multimedia on the material "My Indonesia is Rich in Culture Based on Local Wisdom of Kediri Regency" for students at SDN Sumberejo 1? The purpose of this study was to determine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the use of interactive multimedia learning media to be applied to elementary school students at SDN Sumberejo 1. This study used the ADDIE model, which consists of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data collection techniques were carried out through questionnaires, interviews, and evaluation questions, with data analysis based on the criteria of validity, effectiveness, and practicality. The results of the study showed that this interactive multimedia was valid with an average of 84% in the media validity test and 84% in the material validity test, in the practicality test it was said to be very practical with an average percentage of 91% in the limited trial and an average percentage of 85% in the broad trial, and very effective with an average of 100% in the limited trial and 100% in the broad trial. The conclusion of this study is that interactive multimedia based on "Local Wisdom of Kediri Regency" for 4th grade elementary school students is effective for use during the learning process.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the limited use of instructional media in the teaching and learning process at elementary schools, particularly in the subject of Pancasila Education, focusing on the material about the principles (sila) of Pancasila. Learning is still heavily dependent on textbooks, worksheets, and other printed sources, making it difficult for students to understand the meaning and application of each Pancasila principle. Schools also have not fully optimized the use of facilities such as Chromebooks and projectors. In Grade IV, the material discusses the meaning and examples of applying Pancasila principles in daily life. The use of media is very helpful in the learning process. The researcher developed an interactive learning media called “Makpen” to assist both teachers and students, specifically for learning the Pancasila principles. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The aim of this study is to determine the validity and practicality of the “Makpen” interactive learning media. The results showed: (1) media expert and material expert validation scores were 92% respectively; and (2) teacher responses reached 96%, student responses in the limited trial were 94%, and in the wider trial were 96,4%. Based on these results, the “Makpen” interactive learning media is considered very valid, practical, and feasible to use in the learning process. The “Makpen” media is valid, practical, and effective for learning the meaning and application of Pancasila principles. Theoretically, this media enhances students’ understanding. Practically, it can serve as a reference for teachers and increase students’ learning motivation. The researcher suggests the development of other technology-based instructional media to make learning more engaging and meaningful.

Abstract

The use of Learning media in the Laboratory Elementary School is considered less effective, and student learning outcomes remain low based on observations and interview with first-grade teacher. This study aims to: 1) determain the validity, 2) practicially, and 3) effectiveness of the PANCANIMASI media. The research method used is Research and Development or R&D, applying the ADDIE model approach. The steps in this research include analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The requireddata were collected through expert validation questionnaires (media and content experts), teacher and student response questionnaires, as well as student test results. Base on validation questionnaires, the media recieved scores of 87,5% and 93,3%, indicating that the media is highly valid. Teacher and student responses showed practicaity percentages of 96%, 95,71% in the limited trial and 92,85% in the wider trial, suggesting that the developed media is highly practical for classroom use. The results of the Classical Learning Mastery (KBK) show a 100% mastery rate with average scores of 91,6% in the limited trial and 90,7% in the wider trial. Thus, the media can be considered effective in improving student learning outcomes on the topics of symbols, Pancasila principles, and the Garuda Pancasila emblem for first-grade at the Laboratory Elementary School.

Abstract

Abstract: Based on the observation results of social studies learning materialon social phenomena at PGSD UN PGRI Kediri, it can be concluded that most students are less responsive to problems that occur in society in an interdiciplinary manner. This will reduce the meaning of learning social science. Based on some of these shortcomings then classroom action research (CAR) is carried out by applying an interdisciplinary approach and the learning Group Investigation model, because this learning model requires students to be more active in developing their attitudes and knowledge about social studies learning, especially social phenomena material that is in accordance with their respective abilities in constructing their own knowledge. This research design uses Classroom Action Research (CAR) with the stages of planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. The subject of this study were students of PGSD UN PGRI Kediri class 2B, odd semester of the 2019/2020 academic year. The data taken in this study are data from the results of investigation reports and learning outcomes data in the form of tests on the assessment sheet. The results obtained after applying an interdisciplinary approach with the Group Investigation model on the material of social phenomena, namely learning have been successful. It is evident in the results of student performance that there has been an increase from the first cycle, namely the average score is 74.4 and the second cycle the average score is 89.3. Then the student learning outcomes also experienced an increase in scores, namely from the first cycle with an average score of 79.5 and the second cycle average score of 94.

Abstract

In the industrial revolution 4.0, 4C’s skills (critical thinking, creative thinking, collaboration, and communication) are essential for the students. Therefore, starting from elementary school, these skills need to be cultivated. According to Permendikbud No. 23 of 2017, there are 3 activities that must carry out, namely intra-curricular, co-curricular, and extra-curricular. Like intra-curricular activities, co-curricular activities should be structured and systematic as intra-curricular that have teaching material. However, the reality is a lot of school don’t have a good preparation for doing co-curricular. Co-curricular is the activities of deepening the material (indicator) there are in intra-curricular, so the material presented in co-curricular activities must be the material that is difficult or that needs enrichment. One of the materials that requires enrichment is mathematics. It is because mathematics has contained difficult material and is usually feared by the students. This article will specifically discuss the needs of students in full-day schools whose co-curricular activities in Mathematics Club (MC) are an cultivate 4C’s skills. The method used exploratory research method. The result of this research found that Schools needed activities such as Mathematics Club because the schools had not implemented cocurricular activities optimally.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the critical thinking skills of prospective elementary school teachers in solving ethnomathematics-based spatial geometry problems. Critical thinking skills are essential skills for prospective teachers in facing the challenges of modern education. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with four final year students of the PGSD Study Program, UN PGRI Kediri as subjects who are classified into two categories, namely high and low ability. Data were collected through problem-solving tests and interviews based on Ennis' critical thinking indicators, which include simple explanations, basic skills, strategies and tactics, conclusions, and further explanations. The results showed that low-ability subjects were only able to achieve three of the five critical thinking indicators, namely providing simple explanations, building basic skills, and drawing conclusions. Meanwhile, high-ability subjects were able to meet all critical thinking indicators. This study confirms that critical thinking skills can be developed through ethnomathematics-based problem presentation, which links mathematical concepts to local culture.
