Abstract

This community service activity aims to preserve one of the intangible heritage assets, namely Gending BopongGaya Kayumas Denpasar. Gending Bopong is one of the Petangkilan Gendings in the Balinese Wayang (shadowpuppet) show scene. Recently, there has been a phenomenon that Gending Bopong is rarely presented anymorebecause this game has a long structure, making it difficult to master it. This is why it is feared that this gending willbecome extinct, so coaching is needed regarding mastering drumming skills and practical mastery of the Boponggending material. The methods used are lecture, demonstration, and imitation. This coaching process goes throughseveral stages, namely: (1) socialization, (2) implementation stage, (3) stabilization phase, (4) evaluation stage,and (5) presentation of coaching results. As a result of this service activity, training participants at the SanggarTabuh Kembang Waru were able to enrich their knowledge and skills in drumming Gender Wayang and foster prideand love in the effort to maintain and develop the traditional artistic heritage.

Abstract

Buku cerita bergambar digital diidentifikasi sebagai media pembelajaran yang inovatif yang dapat menarik minat siswa serta memperkaya pengalaman visual mereka. Melalui pendekatan manajemen pendidikan yang terstruktur, seperti perencanaan pembelajaran yang tepat, pemilihan materi yang relevan, dan penggunaan teknologi yang mendukung, guru dapat menciptakan suasana pembelajaran yang interaktif dan kreatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan buku cerita bergambar digital mampu merangsang imajinasi siswa, meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis, serta memperluas eksplorasi ide dalam menciptakan karya seni rupa. Secara keseluruhan, manajemen pendidikan seni yang efektif dapat mengoptimalkan penggunaan media digital untuk mendorong peningkatan kreativitas siswa dalam proses pembelajaran seni rupa.

Abstract

Sasaran pokok yang dicapai dalam pelajaran Seni Musik terutama musik ansambel adalah penanaman rasa musikalitas, mengembangkan sikap dan kemampuan berkreasi, menghargai seni, dan meningkatkan kreativitas. Proses pembelajaran musik ansambel di SMP Santo Yoseph Denpasar sangat baik dan memiliki sarana dan prasarana yang dapat mendukung pembelajaran musik ansambel. Rumusan masalah yang diangkat terkait dengan konsep pembelajaran, tahapan pembelajaran, capaian pembelajaran dan kontribusi pembelajaran musik ansambel pada kelas VII di SMP Santo Yoseph Denpasar. Metode yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran ini yaitu metode ceramah, metode tanya jawab, metode demonstrasi, dan metode Cooperative Learning Tipe Jigsaw. Hasil menunjukan bahwa pembelajaran musik ansambel di SMP Santo Yoseph Denpasar dibagi menjadi empat tahap yaitu tahap persiapan (preparation), tahap penyampaian (presentation), tahap pelatihan (practice) dan tahap penampilan (performance). Tahap persiapan (preparation) yaitu pendidik mempersiapkan perangkat pembelajaran yang terdiri atas silabus, modul ajar, dan materi pelajaran. Tahap penyampaian (presentation) yaitu tahapan pemberian materi kepada peserta didik untuk membantu peserta didik mendapatkan materi atau pembelajaran yang baru. Tahap pelatihan (practice) yaitu kegiatan inti dari pembelajaran dimana peserta didik berlatih dalam kelompok kecil. Tahap penampilan (presentation) yaitu tahap akhir dari pembelajaran, dimana peserta didik menampilkan pertunjukan kelompok musik ansambel.

Abstract

Membentuk seni yang kreatif memang tidak mudah, karena bentuk kerjanya adalah berbentuk kolektif. Pencipta seni harus mampu memadukan unsur-unsur yang terlibat dalam satu kesatuan yang utuh. Unsur-unsur yang terlibat ini juga manusia yang memiliki kreativitas dan pemaknaan sendiri. Maksudnya, dalam sebuah tari, seorang penari akan memiliki interpretasi sendiri, sehingga ketika bergerak, wujud yang hadir adalah wujud dari interpretasi penari tersebut. Kalau ini terjadi maka akan ada perbedaan maksud. Untuk itu seorang koreografer harus bisa menyatukan seluruh kemampuan unsur untuk menjadi sesuatu yang benar-benar mereka sepakati. Koreografer merupakan tonggak utama yang harus sensitif dan kreatif. Kemampuan sensitivitasnya bisa menangkap tema untuk dikembangkan menjadi sesuatu yang baru (redefinition) secara sepenuhnya dan dengan kreativitasnya sanggup mereproduksi kembali tangkapan dengan baik, kaya, kena dan penuh elaborasi detil yang tepat. Untuk unsur yang lain seperti penari, pemusik dan unsur lainnya merupakan unsur yang akan menjalankan gagasan sang koreografer. Akan tetapi tidak tertutup kemungkinan terhadap unsur lain dalam menerapkan kreativitasnya sejauh tidak bertentangan dengan kreativitas koreografer. Galombang Carano membantu pengembangan konsep tradisi untuk kepentingan pertunjukan yang lebih modern dan kontemporer. Hal ini merupakan wujud dari perkembangan tari saat ini di Minangkabau Sumatera Barat. Begitu pula hendaknya karya-karya tari yang lain dengan memakai konsep seni tradisional setempat.

Abstract

Effective learning management is very important to support the development of student character in Vocational High Schools (SMK). The output that is the goal of this writing is to explore the management of batik learning in SMK in an effort to instill student character values through a local wisdom approach.This study uses a case study methodology combined with a qualitative descriptive method. Analysis of learning documents, teacher and student interviews, and observations are used to collect data. The subjects of this study were grade XI students of the Batik and Textile Creative Crafts Program at SMK Negeri 4 Palangkaraya with an emphasis on batik subjects. The results of the study indicate that batik learning in SMK has the potential to develop student character, such as responsibility, patience, creativity, and love for local culture. Good learning management includes the planning, implementation, and evaluation stages that are integrated with local wisdom values. It is hoped that this approach will become a culture-based learning model that can be applied in various schools.

Abstract

Balinese musical art is essentially a cultural heritage passed down from generation to generation from the predecessors, and always adheres to existing traditions, relying on traditional patterns that develop in society. There is no traditional or religious ceremony in Bali without the involvement of musical arts. The diversity and complexity of Balinese gamelan playing has been the subject of study among researchers with various scientific approaches. This paper aims to discuss the art of Balinese gamelan music in the realm of postmodern aesthetic studies, one of the disciplines that is growing quite rapidly today. This research uses a descriptive method of analysis with data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and literature studies as well as the author's experience as a musical performer. The results of this study show that in the last decade or 10 years there has been a fundamental change in the process of creating new works in Balinese karawitan. The process of creating new works, which has been based on a strong tradition, has now changed into contemporary (modern), postmodern or contemporary art. This phenomenon occurs due to the change in the mindset of artists who always want to keep up with the times. The forms or idioms of postmodern aesthetics found in the process of creating new works in Balinese musical art include Pastiche, Parody, Kitsch, Camp, and Schizophrenia. The emergence of postmodern aesthetic idioms in new Balinese musical works from artists at this time is to fulfill the need for beauty values as humans in general, also based on the desire to achieve intrinsic values contained in the art itself to achieve perfection as a human being.

Abstract

Balinese Wayang kulit contains deep philosophy and aesthetics, with plays that are not only entertaining, but also contain moral teachings and life values. An important element in the structure of the play is the concept of "Catur Karana" created by Ida Bagus Gede Purwa. This research uses a qualitative method with a text analysis and phenomenology approach, involving literature study, interviews with puppeteers, audiences and practitioners of the puppet arts. Data is analyzed through text analysis and semiotics to understand the meaning and structure of the story. The research results show that "Catur Karana" is a basic method in building a new play. Dalang needs to understand the four main elements: swamandala, antakarana, uparengga, and pasiat, which support the structure of the play in Reka Sadana. Catur Karana includes five elements (panca reka) and is equipped with Catur Perakreti and Panca Wilasa materials as raw materials for creating new plays, which is an important method in nynggit plays.Qualitative research methods using text analysis and phenomenology approaches explore the application of the concept of "Catur Karana" in the Balinese Wayang kulit play by Ida Bagus Gede Purwa. The main data analyzed came from the Purwa Wasana text and the Kawi Carita text and their documentation. Data collection, literature study, interviews, and art practitioners. Narrative data analysis of text and play structure. Catur Karana by Ida Bagus Gede Purwa in the Purwa Wasana Textbook. Understand the drupadi competition play from the main play (Ramayana, Mahabharata), memorize the characters, understand the structure of the play, characterization, scenes, building blocks, pedum coral, and understand the theme. Ida Bagus Gede Purwa implemented Catur Karana into a play called the Drupadi Competition. In it, elements of chess karana are explored which are presented as a summary of the story, scenes and scenes.

Abstract

Purpose: This short article attempts to conduct a discourse on new works of Balinese karawitan art in the realm of postmodern aesthetic studies, one of the disciplines that is developing quite rapidly today. The main problem studied in this article is the forms of postmodern aesthetics in new works of Balinese karawitan art. Research methods: The main data in this article were obtained through field research (observation) in the form of direct observation of the dynamics of the development of Balinese karawitan art. For the purposes of this writing, a literature study was also conducted in the form of tracking various documents, both written and visual. Results and discussion: In the last decade or 10 years there has been a fairly fundamental change in the process of creating new works in Balinese karawitan art. The process of creating new works that have been based on strong traditions has now undergone changes into contemporary (modern) art, postmodern or contemporary art. Implication: The forms or idioms of postmodern aesthetics found in the process of creating new works in Balinese karawitan art include pastiche, parody, kitsch, camp, and schizfrenia.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to analyze the implementation of extracurricular learning of matembang sekar madya at SMP (Junior High School) Negeri 4 Sukawati and identify obstacles and strategies that can be applied to improve its effectiveness in preserving Balinese literary works. Research methods: It uses qualitative descriptive with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects of the study consisted of extracurricular teachers, student participants in the activities, and the school. Results and discussion: Matembang sekar madya learning at SMP Negeri 4 Sukawati has been implemented systematically through a direct practice approach and guidance from expert teachers. There are several obstacles, such as lack of student interest, limited teaching resources, and minimal innovation in learning methods. Implication: With the right strategy, this extracurricular learning can be an effective means of preserving Balinese literary works while fostering students' love for regional cultural heritage.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi manajemen pembelajaran seni berbasis proyek dalam konteks pameran seni lukis di SMP. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam dengan guru seni budaya dan siswa, serta dokumentasi kegiatan pameran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran berbasis proyek dalam seni lukis mampu meningkatkan kreativitas, kerja sama, dan rasa tanggung jawab siswa. Proses pembelajaran melibatkan beberapa tahapan, yaitu perencanaan proyek, pelaksanaan, evaluasi, dan pameran karya seni sebagai produk akhir. Guru berperan sebagai fasilitator yang membimbing siswa dalam mengembangkan ide, teknik melukis, dan manajemen waktu. Kegiatan pameran memberikan pengalaman autentik kepada siswa dalam mempresentasikan hasil karya mereka kepada khalayak, sekaligus membangun rasa percaya diri. Kendala yang dihadapi meliputi keterbatasan waktu, fasilitas, dan anggaran, namun dapat diatasi melalui kolaborasi antara guru, siswa, dan pihak sekolah. Dengan demikian, manajemen pembelajaran seni berbasis proyek efektif dalam mendukung pengembangan keterampilan abad 21 seperti kreativitas, komunikasi, dan kolaborasi. Studi ini merekomendasikan penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis proyek pada mata pelajaran seni lainnya untuk mendorong pengalaman belajar yang lebih bermakna.
