Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan distribusi soal-soal bertipe Higher Order Thinking Skills pada buku ajar matematika SMK kurikulum 2013 kelas XI yang ditinjau dari indikator soal Higher Order Thinking Skills berdasarkan Taksonomi Bloom revisi. Pendekatan penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan subjek penelitian adalah soal setiap uji kompetensi bab 1 dalam buku ajar matematika SMK kurikulum 2013 kelas XI semester 1. Pengumpulan data menggunakan studi dokumen. Pedoman analisis soal berdasarkan Taksonomi Bloom revisi Anderson & Krathwohl (2001). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa soal-soal latihan yang terdapat dalam buku ajar Matematika SMK Kelas XI khususnya pada materi Persamaan dan Fungsi Kuadrat, hanya terdapat 8 soal yang dapat dikelompokkan sebagai soal HOTS. Soal-soal tersebut hanya berada pada aspek terendah dalam HOTS, yaitu pada tingkat kognitif menganalisis (C4) dengan pelibatan dimensi pengetahuan prosedural. Tidak ditemukan satu soal latihan yang dapat dikelompokkan sebagai soal HOTS pada aspek mengeveluasi (C5) dan aspek mencipta (C6). Soal dalam buku ajar tersebut belum merata dalam menunjang kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi peserta didik

Abstract

This research was carried out with the aim of producing gamification teaching material products for limiting functions and class IX derivatives that met the feasibility criteria, namely valid, practical, and effective. This research is a development research using the ADDIE development model. The stages of the ADDIE development model consist of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Product feasibility assessment using validation sheet instruments, student response questionnaires and teacher response questionnaires, as well as learning outcome tests. The collected data were analyzed by qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. The research results obtained are: (1) Valid, the average validation results for teaching materials, rpp, student and teacher response questionnaires and learning outcomes tests are 4.66 which are categorized as valid because they are in the range of 4≤V_a<5. (2) Practical, based on the teacher response questionnaire with an average result obtained of 91.66% and the student response questionnaire of 91.25% is in the range of 85% ≤R_G≤100% so that the teacher and student response questionnaire is categorized as very Positive. (3) Effective, the results of the student learning outcomes test analysis were obtained by 80% classically complete and were in the high category. Thus, it was concluded that the gamification teaching materials on the function limit materials and class XI derivatives met the criteria of valid, practical, and effective.

Abstract

This study discusses the correlation between students’ learning motivation and mathematics learning outcomes. The population of this study is 320 students of class XI MAN Model Makassar. The technique sampling used was random sampling. Data collected by using documentation format and questionnaire. Data analyzed by using descriptive analysis and nonparametric statistical analysis. The result of descriptive analysis showed that 53,75% of students had high learning motivation and 62,5% of students get scores 7-7,4 on 10 scales. The result of nonparametric statistic analysis showed that the coefficient correlation between learning outcomes and motivation was 0,522 by the Kendall test and 0,575 by Spearman test. T = 5,405 by Kendall and t = 6, 208 by Spearman was greater than t table 2,326. It means that there were a positive and significant correlation between students’ motivation and learning outcomes.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the process of developing ethnomathematics-based teaching materials. The reference to the ADDIE development model which consists of several phases namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. . The product being developed is in the form of teaching materials, namely modules based on ethnomathematics (Bugis cultural tradition) on flat sided geometric material which was tested on 17 class VIII students of Pangkep Negeri MTs. The instruments used in this study were expert validation sheets, student activity observation sheets, teacher activity observation sheets in the implementation of learning, student response questionnaires, teacher response questionnaires, and learning achievement tests. The limited trial carried out, an ethnomathematics (Bugis cultural tradition) based module on flat sided geometric material in class VIII MTsN Pangkep has met the criteria of validity, practicality and effectiveness.

Abstract

Abstrak Metode pembelajaran dapat mendukung hasil belajar siswa, diantaranya metode giving question and getting answer dan learning start with a question. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar matematika siswa menggunakan metode giving question and getting answer dan learning start with a question terhadap siswa kelas X MAN Baraka. Pengabdian ini menggunakan pretest-posttest control group design. Dalam menentukan sampel digunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan jumlah sampel 60 siswa dari 2 kelas yang diambil dari 4 kelas dengan siswa sebanyak 126 orang. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes berupa pretest dan posttest yang berbentuk esai. Soal disusun dengan mengacu pada aspek kognitif yang akan dinilai, yaitu C1, C2, C3, dan C4. Data dianalisis dengan analisis statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial. Dengan menggunakan uji independent sample test diperoleh signifikan sebesar 0,010 yang menunjukkan bahwa terdapat komparasi hasil belajar matematika siswa menggunakan metode giving question and getting answer dan learning start with a question terhadap siswa kelas X MAN Baraka. Abstract Learning methods can support student learning outcomes, including methods of giving questions and getting answers and learning start with a question. This purpose of this service to determine students' mathematics learning outcomes using the method of giving questions and getting answers and learning start with a question to class X students of MAN Baraka. This research is a quasi experimental research design using pretest-posttest control group design. In determining the sample used purposive sampling technique with a total sample of 60 students from 2 classes taken from 4 classes with 126 students. The data in this study were collected through tests in the form of a pretest and posttest in the form of an essay. The questions were arranged with reference to the cognitive aspects to be assessed, namely C1, C2, C3, and C4. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistics. By using the independent sample test, it was obtained a significant value of 0.010 which indicates that there is a comparison of students' mathematics learning outcomes using the method of giving questions and getting answers and learning start with a question to class X students of MAN Baraka.

Abstract

Tujuan pengabdian ini untuk mengetahui perbedaan antara hasil belajar matematika siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran VAK (Visualization Auditory Kinestetic) dengan hasil belajar matematika siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran AIR (Auditory Intellectually Repetition) pada siswa kelas VIII MTs Negeri Gowa. Pengabdian ini berbasis penelitian menggunakan equivalent time series design. Pada pengabdian ini, kelas VIII 4 dan kelas VIII 5 sebagai subjek sosialisasi I dan II yang masing-masing terdiri dari 37 siswa. Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan analisis inferensial menggunakan uji-t untuk sampel independen (independent sample t-test). Dari hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran VAK dan AIR cukup efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa sedangkan berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,183. Nilai ini menunjukkan bahwa sign > ∝ yaitu 0,183 > 0,025 sehingga H0 diterima atau dengan melihat nilai ????ℎ???????????????????? sebesar 1,345 maka jika dibandingkan dengan ???????????????????????? (????(0,025,46)) sebesar 2,028 maka −???????????????????????? ≤ ????ℎ???????????????????? ≤ ???????????????????????? atau −2,028 ≤ 1,345 ≤ 2,012 artinya H0 diterima atau disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan signifikan nilai rata-rata hasil belajar matematika antara siswa yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran VAK (Visualization Auditory Kinestetic) dengan model pembelajaran AIR (Auditory Intellectually Repetition) pada siswa kelas VIII MTs Negeri Gowa.

Abstract

This study aims to determine students' mathematical critical thinking skills by applying the guided discovery learning method to class VII MTs. Aisyiyah Sungguminasa, Gowa Regency. This type of research is a quasi-experimental research using a research design, namely The Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population in this study were all students of class VII MTs. Aisyiyah Sungguminasa Gowa Regency totaled 143 people with the sampling technique using simple random sampling technique. The instrument used was an essay test to determine students' critical thinking skills in mathematics. The analysis technique used is descriptive and inferential statistical analysis. Based on the results of the descriptive analysis showed that the average critical thinking ability of students using the guided discovery learning method reached the very high category, while those without using the guided discovery learning method reached the moderate category. Furthermore, the results of the inferential analysis using the t test show that there is a significant difference between the mathematical critical thinking skills of students who apply the guided discovery learning method and those who do not apply the guided discovery learning method.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the first semester and second semester competency test questions contained in the revised 2017 edition of the junior high school mathematics textbook based on the cognitive dimensions of TIMSS 2019. This type of research is descriptive research using a qualitative approach. The data source in this study is the first semester competency test questions and the second semester competency test contained in the 2017 revised edition of the SMP/MTs grade VIII mathematics textbook written by Abdur Rahman As'ari, Mohammad Tohir, Erik Valentino, Zainul Imron and Ibnu Taufiq entitled "Mathematics" SMP/MTs grade VIII. The data collection technique used in this study is to use the documentation method. The results of data analysis show that questions with the cognitive dimension of knowledge (knowing) dominate the number material which is characterized by the explicit presentation of the problem so that in the process of solving the problem without doing the analysis first. Then the problem with the cognitive dimension of applying dominates the geometry material which is characterized by the presentation of problems in the form of routine problems with the cognitive process of solving problems using concepts and presenting mathematical information into mathematical models, and problems with the cognitive dimension of reasoning dominate algebraic material which is the highest cognitive level and the presentation of the problem is in the form of non-routine problems.

Abstract

Aljabar merupakan salah satu tema bahasan dalam pembelajaran matematika, memahami penyelesaian soal-soal aljabar begitu penting untuk memasuki bahasan yang lain seperti geometri, namun masih banyak ditemukan kesalahan-kesalahan dalam peneyelesaian soal aljabar tersebut. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengidentifikasi kategori kesalahan yang dilakukan siswa ketika menyelesaikan masalah aljabar, memanfaatkan kriteria Watson dan menyelidiki elemen penyebab yang mendasarinya. Penelitian menggunakan desain deskriptif dari metode kualitatif. Partisipan penelitian sampel sebanyak 28 siswa. Metodologi pengumpulan data yang digunakan meliputi tes diagnostik, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Dari hasil penelitian ditemukan diantaranya kesalahan-kesalahan yang mencakup penggunaan data yang salah, penerapan prosedur yang salah, penghilangan data penting, tidak adanya pernyataan konklusif, konflik dalam tingkat respons, manipulasi tidak langsung, kesulitan terkait hierarki, serta kategori kesalahan lain di luar tujuh klasifikasi yang disebutkan di atas. Penyebab kesalahan dalam konteks ini mencakup beberapa variabel kognitif, seperti keterbatasan atau bias mental, serta ketidakakuratan dalam proses perhitungan. Selain itu, kesalahan mungkin timbul karena ketidakakuratan pembacaan atau lupa rumus yang digunakan dalam perhitungan. Implikasi dari temuan ini menunjukkan perlunya langkah-langkah konkret untuk mengatasi kesalahan yang dihadapi siswa dalam aljabar. Kegagalan dalam mengatasi kesalahan-kesalahan ini dapat mengakibatkan siswa terus melakukan kesalahan tidak hanya dalam aljabar tetapi juga pada topik-topik berikutnya.

Abstract

Media pembelajaran interaktif adalah salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan pemahaman siswa tentang statistika. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk membuat StatMind, media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis Macromedia Flash, yang akan meningkatkan motivasi dan pemahaman siswa matematika kelas VIII tentang materi statistika. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini merupakan Research and Development (R&D) yang menggunakan 4D (define, design, development, and disseminate). Selain pre-test dan post-test, lembar validasi dan angket respons siswa menunjukkan bahwa materi dan media memenuhi kriteria "Sangat Baik" dan "Baik". Respon siswa terhadap aplikasi juga sangat positif; ada peningkatan hasil belajar yang signifikan, yang ditunjukkan oleh kenaikan persentase ketuntasan dari 52,0% menjadi 80,5% dan kenaikan rata-rata nilai dari 52,0 menjadi 80,5. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi StatMind dapat digunakan dengan efektif sebagai alat pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan motivasi siswa dan hasil belajar mereka dalam matematika.
