Abstract

This paper compares gallery sessions and expository learning strategies for Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning at Ashfiya Elementary School (SD) Bandung. The method used in this study is a quasi-experiment with pretest post-test control group design. Sampling was conducted incidentally to determine the experimental and control classes. The study's results showed that the difference in the mean scores before and after the gallery session strategy in the experimental class was significant, 31.905, compared to the control class, which applied the expository strategy with a score of 22.27. The average value obtained after treatment in the experimental class was 85.25, and the control class was 75.50. The hypothesis test results show a difference in average values with a significant gain of 0.00. The gain value in the class that uses the gallery session strategy is 51.6, so it is in the medium category. While the class that uses the lecture strategy gets a gain value of 25.2, so it is in a low category. That proves that there are differences in learning outcomes with the application of the gallery session strategy compared to the expository strategy.

Abstract

The low adoption rate of information systems in Islamic educational institutions highlights a gap between technological advancement and user acceptance, particularly within madrasa management. This study examines the acceptance and effectiveness of EMIS 4.0 in a private Islamic boarding school in Malangbong District, utilizing the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) as the theoretical framework. A quantitative, ex post facto design was employed, with data collected from madrasa operators through questionnaires and analyzed statistically. The results indicate that management support has a significant influence on both perceived usefulness (p = 0.016) and actual system use (p = 0.022). In contrast, prior experience and training have a significant effect on perceived ease of use (p = 0.016 and p = 0.007). Although perceived usefulness does not significantly impact attitude (p = 0.416), it affects intention to use (p = 0.047), with both attitude (p = 0.029) and intention (p = 0.025) predicting actual use. This study contributes to the contextual application of TAM and offers practical strategies for sustainable EMIS adoption in faith-based schools.

Abstract

The improvement of Islamic educational quality in the contemporary era demands madrasah leadership practices that are not only adaptive and strategic but also highly collaborative in facing competitive dynamics and global institutional pressures. This study aims to analyze in depth the strategic leadership practices of madrasah principals in enhancing the quality of Islamic education by strengthening stakeholder collaboration at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri (MIN) 1 Bandung. Employing a qualitative case study design, this research explores leadership phenomena within a unique sociocultural madrasah context. Data were collected through comprehensive in-depth interviews as the primary instrument, supplemented by direct field observations and systematic documentation studies to ensure validity through data triangulation. Research participants were selected purposively, including the principal, the development team, teachers, the school committee, and parent representatives to provide a holistic perspective. The findings reveal that strategic leadership in this madrasah is developed through structured collaborative mechanisms, ranging from participatory vision and mission formulation to inclusive distribution of leadership authority and active stakeholder involvement in educational program implementation. These collaborative leadership practices have proven to significantly strengthen a participatory organizational culture, substantially increase public trust, and maintain sustainable educational quality and stability. This study underscores that collaboration-based strategic leadership is a highly effective approach to transforming the quality of Islamic education. Theoretically, this research enriches the literature on Islamic educational management, particularly regarding the application of distributed leadership practices and value-based governance in Indonesian madrasahs

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of community empowerment initiatives in strengthening inclusive, child-friendly, and disability-responsive early childhood education environments. The research focuses on how structured teacher and parent training can improve pedagogical competence, increase awareness of children with diverse learning needs, and strengthen collaboration between school and home. A mixed-methods approach was used, combining quantitative assessments of participants' knowledge and attitudes with qualitative data from observations, reflections, and stakeholder feedback. The results indicate that targeted empowerment programs contributed to positive changes in teachers' ability to adapt learning strategies, parents' understanding of inclusive support at home, and the development of a more collaborative school culture. Participants showed improved awareness that inclusion is not limited to physical access but also requires emotional, instructional, and social support. This study implies that sustainable inclusive education requires continuous training, active parental participation, and institutional commitment to create responsive learning ecosystems where every child can participate meaningfully.

Abstract

This study examines the strategy for developing educational institutions through the integration of the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri. The research aims to analyze the implementation of BSC as a strategic management tool, identify supporting and inhibiting factors, and evaluate its impact on academic and non-academic performance. The research method employs a qualitative case study approach, involving in-depth interviews and document analysis. The results indicate that Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri has adopted BSC principles in its Strategic Plan 2020–2024, although the term BSC is not explicitly used. The implementation of BSC has contributed to improved budget transparency, stakeholder participation, and teacher competence. However, challenges such as cultural resistance, limited ICT infrastructure, and administrative burdens remain obstacles. The study also reveals that the integration of Islamic values such as shura (consultation) and amanah (trustworthiness) strengthens BSC implementation. Recommendations include simplifying performance indicators, human resource training, and technology optimization. This study provides theoretical contributions to the adaptation of BSC in Islamic education contexts and practical guidance for other madrasah.
