Abstract

The Healthy Indonesia Program with a Family Approach (PIS-PK) aims to improve the quality of life of Indonesian citizens from the smallest unit of society, namely the family. This program is the family's main capital in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. The purpose of this study was to assess the potential of the Healthy Indonesia program and the role of families in dealing with Covid-19 in Indonesia. Literature review was conducted during 27 July 2021 to 07 August 2021, and literature search used Publish or Perish software for the time period of 2020-2021. Search keywords include: Coronavirus, Vaccines, Covid-19, Healthy Indonesia Program, Family Planning, delivery in health facilities, complete basic immunization, Exclusive Breastfeeding, growth monitoring, pulmonary tuberculosis, hypertension, mental disorders, smoking, National Health Insurance, access to clean water facilities and healthy latrines. Study findings showed that family planning services, delivery in health facilities, complete basic immunization, and growth monitoring could still be implemented by families in Indonesia. Likewise, the treatment of tuberculosis, hypertension, mental disorders is carried out on a limited basis. The behavior of exclusive breastfeeding, no smoking family members, families which have become members of the National Health Insurance and families which have access to clean water facilities are family capital in dealing with the covid-19 pandemic. In conclusion, the more complete the status of a healthy family based on 12 indicators, the more resilient each family will be in dealing the covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

ABSTARCT Nutrition problem in infants arise due to disasters due to paralysis of health services, lack of clean water supply, environmental sanitation, post-disaster infectious diseases. This research is descriptive which aims to describe the nutritional status of children under five after a disaster in the Evacuation Village of Buluri, Palu City. The population in this study amounted to 53 toddlers while the large sample taken amounted to 22 toddlers. The results showed that the nutritional status of children under five years after the disaster based on the weight for age index were namely poor nutrition of 3 people (5.7%), malnutrition 13 (25.5%), good nutrition 17 (32.1%). Based on the height for age index were very stunted children amounted to 2 (3.8%), stunted 20 (37.7%), and normal 31 (58.5%). Based on the weight for height index the nutritional status of very thin children 3 (5.7%), thin 8 (15.1%) and normal 42 (72.2%). The conclusion that the nutritional status of children under five years after the disaster when viewed based on BB / U is increasing in number compared to before the earthquake. Whereas based on the indicators of TB / U or PB / U and BB / TB the increase is unknown because there is no data on the nutritional status of children that support before the earthquake. It is recommended to monitor the nutritional status of children under five before the disaster and after the disaster so that they can be seen.

Abstract

Stunting merupakan perhatian utama kesehatan masyarakat di seluruh dunia. Tujuan penelitian menganalisis faktor risiko baduta stunting di Sulawesi Tengah dan model pengendaliannya. Penelitian Cross Sectional dilaksanakan pada tanggal 06 Juli-31 Agusutus 2018 di Kota Palu, Kabupaten Poso, Sigi dan Kabupaten Banggai di Provinsi Sulawesi Tengah. Populasi semua anak baduta di Sulawesi Tengah. Metode penarikan sampel dengan simple random sampling sebanyak 384 orang. Stunting adalah status gizi anak 0-23 bulan skor TB/U < -2SD Standar WHO 2005. Data diperoleh dengan wawancara menggunakan kuesioner, Faktor risiko yang paling dominan dilakukan analisis multivariat regresi logistik terhadap variabel faktor risiko risiko rumah tangga dan keluarga, risiko makanan pendamping ASI, risiko praktek menyusui, risiko penyakit infeksi, risiko sosial dan masyarakat. Analisis bivariat nilai p <0,25 dilanjutkan dengan uji regresi logistik. Selanjutnya faktor risiko dominan dikendalikan dengan model promosi multilevel dengan pendekatan Multilevel Approach To Community Health (MATCH). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan variabel yang memiliki faktor risiko terhadap kejadian stunting adalah berat badan lahir rendah OR=5,512 (1,992-15,256) tidak mencuci tangan OR=5,359 (1,758-16,341) serta tidak memiliki jamban dengan OR= 7,398 (2,072-30,714). Model MATCH dengan melaksanakan program peningkatan efektivitas program Kesehatan ibu dan anak seperti antenatal care, kelas ibu hamil, suplementasi Fe dan kalsium. Pemberian makanan tambahan ibu hamil. Pelatihan praktik mencuci tangan pada air mengalir menggunakan sabun. Dukungan prasarana Air bersih dengan pemipaan. Bantuan kepemilikan jamban dan cara perawatannya serta pelatihan sanitasi berbasis masyarakat.

Abstract

The Healthy Community Movement (Germas) is a systematic and planned action that is carried out jointly by all components of the nation with awareness, willingness and ability to behave in a healthy manner to improve the quality of life. The purpose of community service is the socialization of healthy community movement in the era of adaptation to new habits of Covid-19 in collaboration with the Poltekkes Kemenkes Palu with Commission IX of the Indonesian House of Representatives in Amurang, South Minahasa, North Sulawesi. The Participatory Action Research activity method is in the form of socialization and education based on theory and practice related to proper and proper hand washing, proper and proper use of masks, distribution of masks, hand sanitizers and soap and COVID-19 vaccination. The Healthy Community Movement socialization presented resource person Felly Estelita Runtuwene, SE Chair of Commission IX DPR RI in Amurang, South Minahasa Regency, North Sulawesi, Monday, October 23, 2021. The participants were 200 people from the South Minahasa community, North Sulawesi Province. After the socialization activity, participants understood Germas better during the Covid-19 period. Implementation of healthy community movement socialization in the Era of Adaptation to New Covid-19 Habits The collaboration between the Poltekkes Kemenkes Palu in Palu and Commission IX of the Indonesian House of Representatives in Amurang, Minahasa, South, North Sulawesi, went well and public health achievements increased.   ABSTRAK Germas merupakan suatu tindakan sistematis dan terencana yang dilakukan secara bersama-sama oleh seluruh komponen bangsa dengan kesadaran, kemauan dan kemampuan berperilaku sehat untuk meningkatkan kualitas hidup. Tujuan Pengabdian masyarakat adalah sosialisasi Germas di era adaptasi kebiasaan baru Covid-19 kerjasama Poltekkes Kemenkes Palu dengan Komisi IX DPR RI di Amurang Minahasa Selatan Sulawesi Utara. Metode kegiatan Participatory Action Research berupa sosialisasi dan edukasi berbasis teori dan praktik terkait cara mencuci tangan yang baik dan benar, cara memakai masker yang baik dan benar, pembagian masker, hand sanitizer dan sabun serta vaksinasi covid-19. Sosialisasi Germas menghadirkan narasumber Felly Estelita Runtuwene, SE Ketua Komisi IX DPR RI di Amurang Kabupaten Minahasa Selatan Sulawesi Utara pada Senin 23 Oktober 2021. Peserta sebanyak 200 orang berasal dari masyarakat Minahasa Selatan Provinsi Sulawesi Utara. Setelah kegiatan sosialisasi, peserta semakin memahami Germas di masa Covid-19. Pelaksanaan Sosialisasi Germas di Era Adaptasi Kebiasaan Baru Covid-19 Kerjasama Poltekkes Kemenkes Palu dengan Komisi IX DPR RI di Amurang Minahasa Selatan Sulawesi Utara berjalan dengan baik dan capaian kesehatan masyarakat meningkat.

Abstract

Monday, July 13th, 2020, Flash floods and landslides have hit the Masamba area, East Luwu Regency, South Sulawesi. The large number of victims and urgent needs and in order to ease the burden on the victims, the Academic Community of the Poltekkes Kemenkes Palu initiated a community service program in Masamba Regency. The purpose of this community service is to show the real action of the social care of the entire Civitas Poltekkes Kemenkes Palu to every disaster that occurs. The Humanitarian Aid Team of the Poltekkes Kemenkes Palu consists of 15 lecturers, staff and students of the Poltekkes Kemenkes palu. The method of implementing this service has four stages including planning to find funds, purchasing the needs of disaster victims, distributing assistance and the last stage, namely meeting the needs of victims. The aid was handed over by the Director of Poltekkes Kemenkes Palu, Palu through the Head of the Center for Research and Community Service to the Head of Disaster Prevention and Management Agency at the Emergency Response Command Post for Flash Floods and Landslides, North Luwu Regency, South Sulawesi Province on July 21, 2020 at the Central Disaster Management Command Post. Masamba Regency, East Luwu, South Sulawesi. The provision of Humanitarian Aid can be carried out properly. Communities victims of Flash floods as beneficiaries have received the assistance. It is recommended for this activity more team members so that the distribution of aid is wider and provides more opportunities for students to get directly involved in humanitarian activities

Abstract

The prevalence of stunting in Sigi Regency showed an increase from year to year by 27.67% to 40.7%. The problem of stunting is a multidimensional problem that requires efforts from all parties to overcome it. One of the activities that can be done is to provide assistance to families with health problems or families at risk of stunting so that families can identify, assess, and take action independently accompanied by health workers. The implementation of this activity starts from 22-28 October 2022 in Beka Village, Marawola District. The socialization of the activity was attended by 50 people consisting of the village government, community leaders, PKK women, posyandu cadres, and target families. The targets of this activity are families with stunted children, pregnant women, teenagers/productive age, or breastfeeding mothers. His service activities include measuring body length/height, counseling on stunting, providing additional food, providing developmental stimulation, assisting cadres in filling out KMS, and KB MKJP education for mothers. The results of this activity program were very well appreciated by the local government, there was a change in knowledge about stunting, families who received assistance were very accepting of this activity and realized the importance of preventing stunting from the First 1000 Days of Life (HPK). It is hoped that this activity can take place continuously, families and communities can be independent in preventing stunting. ABSTRAK Prevalensi stunting di Kabupaten Sigi menunjukkan kenaikan dari tahun ke tahun sebesar 27,67% menjadi 40,7%. Masalah stunting merupakan masalah multidimensional sehingga butuh upaya dari semua pihak untuk mengatasinya. Salah satu kegiatan yang bisa dilakukan adalah melakukan pendampingan kepada keluarga dengan masalah kesehatan atau keluarga dengan risiko stunting sehingga keluarga bisa mengenali, menilai, dan melakukan tindakan secara mandiri yang didampingi oleh tenaga kesehatan. Pelaksanaan kegiatan ini dimulai dari tanggal 22-28 Oktober 2022 di Desa Beka Kecamatan Marawola. Sosialisasi kegiatan dihadiri 50 orang yang terdiri dari pemerintah desa, tokoh masyarakat, ibu PKK, kader posyandu, dan keluarga sasaran. Sasaran dari kegiatan ini adalah keluarga yang memiliki anak stunting, ibu hamil, remaja/usia produktif, atau ibu menyusui. Kegiatan pengabdiannya berupa pengukuran panjang badan/tinggi badan, penyuluhan tentang stunting, pemberian makanan tambahan, pemberian stimulasi perkembangan, pendampingan kader dalam pengisian KMS, dan edukasi KB MKJP kepada ibu. Hasil dari program kegiatan ini sangat diapresiasi dengan baik oleh pemerintah setempat, adanya perubahan pengetahuan tentang stunting, keluarga yang mendapatkan pendampingan pun sangat menerima dengan baik kegiatan ini dan menyadari pentingnya pencegahan stunting dari 1000 Hari Pertama Kehidupan (HPK). Diharapkan kegiatan ini dapat berlangsung secara kontinyu, keluarga dan masyarakat bisa mandiri dalam pencegahan stunting.

Abstract

Pneumonia is an infectious disease that causes the biggest death of children worldwide. More than 800,000 children under five die each year from pneumonia. There has been no socialization about pneumonia and PCV immunization for toddler mothers in Uevolo Parigi Moutong Village. Purpose: To socialize pneumonia and PCV immunization to increase the knowledge of mothers of toddlers in Euvolo Village, Siniu District, Parigi Moutong Regency. Method: Community service is carried out by providing outreach through health counseling with banners about pneumonia and PCV immunization. The implementation of the activity was carried out at the Posyandu in Uevolo Village, Parigi Moutong Regency, Central Sulawesi Province on September 21 2022. The target of the dedication was 12 mothers of toddlers. Evaluation in the form of pretest and posttest which is measured on the same day. Results: Community service activities begin with a pre test. The opening question found that all of the mothers had never heard of pneumonia and PCV immunization. In the posttest, there was an increase in the knowledge of toddler mothers with an average value of 83. Conclusion: Outreach through health counseling with banners increases the knowledge of mothers of toddlers about pneumonia and PCV immunization. It is recommended that village midwives put up banners for pneumonia and PCV immunization at posyandu and other health services in the village.

Abstract

The study aims to analyze the prevalence and determinants of stunting in children under two years of age in Tojo Una-Una District, Indonesia as focus location of stunting. The method is Cross-sectional study design, the sample of 300 children aged 0-23 months, stratified random sampling technique. Data collection in June-July 2022. Stunting data was obtained by measuring body length using the length measuring board. The WHO-Antro 2005 software was used to determine the Z-Score height per age. Univariate, bivariate, and multivariate analyzes used SPSS version 22.00. The Results of this research show that 33.7% of children under the age of two are stunted. Stunting in children under the age of two is associated with child age, birth weight, and food insecurity. In addition to a history of low birth weight (AOR=2.7, 95% CI: 1.2-5.7) and experiencing food insecurity (AOR=1.9, 95% CI: 1.1-3.5), children aged 12-23 months (AOR=3.5, 95% CI: 1.7-7.2) have a higher tendency to experience stunting than those who are not. The Conclusion is the prevalence of stunting which is more than 20 percent is a priority health problem that must be resolved by 2024. Interventions to reduce stunting by reducing the incidence of low birth weight, reducing food insecurity, managing birth spacing > 3 years, number of children less than 3, and breastfeeding.

Abstract

Social aspect is a determinant of stunting. Stunting in children is an indicator of well-being and an accurate reflection of social inequality. This study aims to analyze the social and health determinants of the families of children under two years of age with stunting in Sigi District. This was an analytical study with cross sectional design which involved a population of children aged 6-23 months. A sample size consisted of 380 people were selected through cluster simple random sampling technique. Respondents involved the mothers of children under two years of age. Data collection was conducted in February-June 2022. The dependent variables was stunting incidence. The independent variables were maternal age, parity, birth spacing, maternal education, child's gender, child's age in months, length of birth, early initiation of breastfeeding, exclusive breastfeeding, breastfeeding status, child condition at the time of study, history of ARI, diarrhea, pulmonary tuberculosis, measles, Helminth Infection, utilization of health facilities, growth and development stimulation, complementary food, water sources, ownership of family latrines, food insecurity, housing, and smoking family members. Stunting data was obtained by measuring body length using the Length Measuring Board (LMB) and measuring age by reading the birth certificate or MCH book of the child. Other data were obtained by filling out the kobocollect questionnaire. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 22.00. The WHO-Antro 2005 software was applied to determine the Z-Score. Height-for-Age data were analyzed using univariate, bivariate and multivariate analysis using Backward logistic regression method. Ethical clearance was obtained from the ethics committee of Palu Health Polytechnic number 0011/KEPK-KPK/IV/2022. The results showed that children aged 12-24 months had a 4.1 times higher risk of experiencing stunting compared to children aged 0-6 months (AOR=4.1; 95% CI: 2.0-8.4). Furthermore, children aged 7-11 months had a 2.2 times higher risk of experiencing stunting compared to children aged 0-6 months (AOR=2.2;95%CI: 1.2-3.9). Children who had a length of birth of <48 cm had a 2.1 times higher risk of experiencing stunting compared to children who had a length of birth of ≥48 cm (AOR=2.1; 95% CI: 1.2-3.6). Children of women with education of <9 years had a 2.7 times higher risk of experiencing stunting compared to children of women with education of ≥9 years (AOR=2.7; 95% CI: 1.4-5.0). Children from families with food insecurity had a 1.6 times higher risk of experiencing stunting compared to children from families with no food insecurity (AOR=1.6; 95% CI: 0.9-2.7). Social and health determinants of children under two years of age with stunting in Sigi District were child's age, length of birth of <48 cm, maternal education and food insecurity.

Abstract

Poltekkes Kemenkes Palu has 131 authors on the Sinta Kemendikbud website. There are still many authors who have not had a sinta score in the last three years. The aim of the training in writing scientific papers for the academic community at the Poltekkes Kemenkes Palu is to improve the ability to write quality scientific papers. The activity was carried out on January 4-5 2023 in the meeting room of the Center for Research and Community Service, the Ministry of Health, Palu Health Polytechnic. There were 4 resource persons and 41 participants, Lecturers of the Polytechnic of the Ministry of Health, Palu. The implementation method is through lectures, writing practice, practice using publish or perish and practice using Mendeley. The activity was held in the PPM Central Hall. The material is preparing scientific article manuscripts, practical writing of scientific articles, practice of citation of journal articles through publish or perish and publication using a letter of editor” is given. The results of the community service activities showed an increase in the publication of letters to editors by 14 articles published from 17 January to 5 May 2023. The conclusion of the activity was that participants were able to publish letter to editor articles. It is recommended that participants continue to practice writing skills and try to submit or publish manuscripts independently.
