Abstract

Indonesia is a tropical country that experiences very high rainfall. Very heavy rainfall is the reason for flooding. During the rainy season, continuous rain causes the volume of water in the river to increase and has the potential to cause flooding in several areas. Therefore, an early flood detection tool is needed as an alarm to detect and monitor the increase in water volume in the river and as a measure of rainfall that occurs by utilizing Internet of Things technology to make it easier for people to obtain information about the flood alert status in the area. This early flood detection tool method uses the JSN-SR04T sensor which is used to measure the water level in the river, the YL-83 sensor which is used to estimate the rainfall that occurs, Telegram as an Internet of Things media, and Solar panels as Off Grid PLTS. After testing and analyzing the early flood detection tool using ESP8266 based on the Internet of Things in flood-prone areas, the conclusion is that the early flood detection tool works well and the results achieved are in accordance with the function and work of the tool

Abstract

Loading that exceeds the capacity of the transformer if left unchecked will damage the transformer itself; apart from that, it can also cause drop voltage along the conductor, which causes electricity services to customers to be disrupted, especially at the customer end. The results of research at PT PLN (Persero) ULP 50 Kota Suliki Service Office revealed that of the 108 existing transformers, the GD 175 Kasiak Rampung transformer experienced overload with a percentage of 99%, and the end voltage measurement was 177 volts. This figure does not comply with the standards set by PLN. An insert transformer was built as an improvement effort so that the loading percentage decreased to 45% and the end voltage became 277 volts. This effort provides benefits, namely improving the quality of customer service, increasing electricity sales, reducing ENS if there are maintenance efforts, and improving the company's image.

Abstract

4.0 Industrial Revolution brings significant changes across various aspects of life, including the retail sector. The adoption of automation technology in supermarkets can enhance efficiency and consumer convenience. One of the challenges is the use of conventional shopping carts, which require pushing and pulling, often creating difficulties for customers with physical limitations. To address this issue, this study proposes the development of an automated robotic cart using mechanical wheels. Mecanum wheels enable dynamic movement in all directions without the need to change the wheel orientation, making them a more flexible solution compared to traditional differential wheels. The robotic cart is equipped with four 120 mm mecanum wheels and uses DC motors controlled by Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) through an H-bridge circuit and microcontroller. This technology implementation is expected to facilitate smoother cart movement and improve the shopping experience. The study presents the design and kinematic movement of the robot, demonstrating the advantages of using mecanum wheels in enhancing the mobility and flexibility of automated shopping carts

Abstract

Lighting is a fundamental need in daily life; however, conventional lighting systems that are still widely used today tend to be inefficient due to manual operation. This often leads to energy waste, especially when lights are left on during the day or in unoccupied rooms. This final project discusses the design and implementation of an automatic lighting system based on a light sensor (LDR) and motion sensor (PIR), aimed at improving energy efficiency in building environments. The system is designed to activate the lights only when two conditions are met simultaneously: the presence of a person in the room and low ambient light intensity, using an AND logic as the decision-making basis. Test results show that the system responds accurately, consistently, and reliably to environmental changes, and is capable of significantly reducing electricity consumption. By adopting this automation technology, the system not only supports energy savings and reduces operational costs but also contributes to environmental preservation through the reduction of carbon footprint.
