Abstract

Determinants of Private University Choice in Banten: The Role of Institutional Reputation and Location. Objectives: Accurately selecting a university can significantly impact one’s future, including career prospects, job market oportunities, and overall well-being. Previous findings have been debated among researchers regarding the relationship between gender, a university's reputation, location, and tuition fees with university choice. However, studies in the context of private universities in Banten, such as Syekh Yusuf Islamic University (UNIS), are limited and require further research. This study aims to examine the influence of gender, reputation, location, and tuition fees on students' choice of UNIS. Methods: This study utilized a quantitative approach and a binary logistic regression model. The sample size was 937 participants. A validated online Google Forms questionnaire was distributed through WhatsApp groups to collect the data. Findings: The results of the binary logit analysis showed that university reputation and location had a significant influence on the selection of UNIS. Reputation increased students' chances of choosing UNIS, as did a strategic campus location. Conversely, neither gender nor tuition fees were found to influence students' decisions to choose UNIS. These findings confirmed that campus reputation and accessibility are the primary factors influencing students’ choice of UNIS.  Conclusion: The findings of this study provide empirical evidence that UNIS needs to prioritize strengthening its academic reputation as a key factor in attracting prospective students. To address this, improving faculty quality, pursuing program accreditation, and collaborating with industry are strategic steps to strengthen the institution's image. Additionally, its strategic location must be continually optimized through enhanced accessibility and transportation infrastructure, which further supports student recruitment. While tuition fees have not proven to be a significant barrier, maintaining a transparent fee policy and offering scholarships remains necessary to stay competitive. In summary, focusing on both reputation and accessibility will strengthen UNIS's position as a leading private university in Banten. Keywords: gender, location, reputation, tuition fees, university choice.

Abstract

The integration of financial literacy and business planning skills in higher education is essential to prepare students for the challenges of the modern economic landscape. This study examines the effectiveness of incorporating financial literacy concepts into business planning through the implementation of Programs to the Community (PKM)-based learning. Employing a mixed-methods approach, quantitative data were collected through pre- and post-tests measuring students’ knowledge and skills, while qualitative insights were obtained from focus group discussions and reflective journals. The participants consisted of 20 undergraduate students from various disciplines in Indonesian universities, engaged in PKM projects over one academic semester. Findings indicate a significant improvement in students’ ability to develop comprehensive business plans, manage budgets, and evaluate financial feasibility, with an average knowledge increase of 28% compared to baseline. Qualitative data reveal that PKM-based learning fosters critical thinking, collaboration, and entrepreneurial mindset, while contextualizing theoretical knowledge into practical applications. The study concludes that integrating financial literacy into PKM-oriented business planning courses provides a holistic and experiential learning model, contributing to students’ readiness for professional and entrepreneurial endeavors. These results highlight the potential for scalable implementation of PKM-based curricula in higher education to strengthen economic empowerment and innovation capacity among graduates.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the influence of motivation, experience, and career development on employee performance at Binus Serpong. The method used was a quantitative approach with primary data collection through the distribution of closed-ended questionnaires using a Likert scale. The population studied was 50 respondents, and all were taken as samples using a saturated sampling method, due to the relatively small number of respondents. Data processing used SPSS version 25 and included various tests. The results of the t-test indicate that motivation contributes positively and significantly to performance. Career development also has a significant influence. However, work experience does not have a significant effect. The F-test resulted in a simultaneous test value that significantly influences performance. Thus, partially, only motivation and career development significantly influence employee performance, while work experience does not. However, together, these three variables are able to explain variations in employee performance significantly.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of leadership style, motivation, and work environment on employee performance at PT Victory Chingluh Indonesia, Tangerang Regency. Using a quantitative approach and survey method, primary data was collected through a Likert scale questionnaire from 100 respondents selected by random sampling. Data analysis was performed using SPSS 25, which included validity and reliability tests, classical assumptions, multiple linear regression analysis, t-tests, F-tests, and the coefficient of determination. The results showed that partially, leadership style (t-count 2.362 > t-table 1.984), motivation (t-count 2.864 > t-table 1.984), and work environment (t-count 5.301 > t-table 1.984) each have a positive and significant effect on employee performance at a significance level of < 0.05. Additionally, the F test results indicate that simultaneously, the three independent variables also have a significant effect on employee performance (Fcount 24.008 > Ftable 2.699) with a significance level of 0.000. Thus, it can be concluded that leadership style, motivation, and work environment are important factors that influence employee performance in the company.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a model instrument for adolescent health education in maturing the age of marriage. At adolescence, the female reproductive organs are psychologically well developed and strong and ready to give birth to offspring and physically begin to mature. For that, it needs a method of health education that can reach teenagers. This research used a development method that also includes the instrument standardization process. The model used is a 4-D model development consisting of define, design, develop, and disseminate. The subjects of this study consisted of adolescents aged 10-15 years and 16-21 years in Tangerang City. The sample was selected in this study through cluster random sampling technique. This study indicates that reproductive health education can increase the knowledge of adolescents in Tangerang City about maturing the age of marriage. Health education activities through reproductive education have shown quite effective results in increasing adolescent knowledge about maturing age at marriage. At the pretest, adolescents' knowledge was included in the poor category because the teenagers had not received direct information about maturing age at marriage. However, indirectly some teenagers get information from the mass media without further knowledge, namely at the knowing stage. However, during the posttest, there was a significant increase in respondents' knowledge about reproductive health education. Of the 13 indicators, all experienced an increase in the average value of knowledge compared to the reproductive health education pretest. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan instrumen model pendidikan kesehatan remaja dalam pendewasaan usia perkawinan. Pada usia remaja tersebut, organ reproduksi perempuan secara psikologis sudah berkembang dengan baik dan kuat serta siap untuk melahirkan keturunan dan secara fisik pun mulai matang. Untuk itu diperlukan suatu metode pendidikan kesehatan yang dapat menjangkau para remaja. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang juga meliputi proses pembakuan instrumen. Model yang digunakan adalah pengembangan model 4-D yang terdiri dari define (pendefinisian), design (perancangan), develop (pengembangan), dan disseminate (penyebaran). Subjek penelitian ini terdiri dari remaja berusia 10 – 15 tahun dan 16 – 21 tahun di Kota Tangerang. Sampel dipilih pada penelitian ini melalui teknik cluster random sampling. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan kesehatan reproduksi dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan remaja di Kota Tangerang tentang pendewasaan usia perkawinan. Kegiatan pendidikan kesehatan melalui pendidikan reproduksi menunjukkan hasil yang cukup efektif untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan remaja tentang pendewasaan usia perkawinan. Pada saat pretest, pengetahuan remaja termasuk dalam kategori kurang karena belum mendapatkan informasi secara langsung mengenai pendewasaan usia perkawinan. Akan tetapi secara tidak langsung beberapa remaja mendapatkan informasi dari media massa tanpa pengetahuan lebih lanjut yakni pada tahap tahu. Namun, saat posttest, terjadi peningkatan yang signifikan pada pengetahuan responden mengenai pendidikan kesehatan reproduksi. Dari 13 indikator, semuanya mengalami peningkatan nilai rata-rata pengetahuan dibandingkan saat pretest pendidikan kesehatan reproduksi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan, tingkat pengetahuan siswa, dan perilaku disiplin terhadap bantuan hidup dasar pada tingkat kecelakaan lalu lintas di SMA Nurul Iaman Kp. Baru kecematan rajeg, kabupaten tangerang, 2021 Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif, dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif korelasi. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah sampling jenuh. Cara pengumpulan data yaitu dengan membagikan kuesioner kepada siswa /siswi SMA Nurul Iman Kp. Baru Kecamatan Rajeg, Kabupaten Tangerang, 2021 melalui Google Form. Hasil penelitian Uji T (Persial) didapatkan pada masing-masing variabel adalah 0.000 dan 0.000 yang mana nilai tersebut lebih kecil dari É‘ = 0,05 dan dapat disimpulkan bahwa variabel yaitu variabel pendidikan kesehatan (X1) dan tingkat pengetahuan siswa (X2) berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap bantuan hidup dasar pada pada tingkat kecelakaan lalu lintas (Y).Sedangkan berdasarkan hasil Uji F ( Simultan) yang telah dilakukan didapatkan nilai Sig. Sebesar 0.000 yang mana lebih kecil dari É‘ = 0,05 dan dapat disimpulkan bahwa variabel tersebut barpengaruh signifikan secara simultan

Abstract

Akibat pandemic mengakibatkan seluruh orang berhenti dari kegiatan yang biasa dilakukan dikehidupan sehari-hari dan mengatasi dampak yang ditimbulkannya. Cara yang dipilih pemerintah sebagai upaya untuk menekan penyebaran virus di Indonesia adalah salah satu jarak pembatasan fisik . Pembatasan menimbulkan banyak perubahan dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan sosial, ekonomi, budaya, termasuk pendidikan. Kementerian Pendidikan Indonesia. Kementerian pendidikan Indonesia mengeluarkan surat edaran Mendikbud No. 4 tahun 2020 tentang pelaksanaan kebijakan dan pendidikan dalam masa darurat penyebaran corona virus disease (Covid-19) dengan meliburkan dan mengganti proses Kegiatan Belajar Mengajar (KBM) disekolah dengan menggunakan sistem dalam jaringan (daring) dirumah. Tujuan mengetahui pengaruh efektivitas pembelajaran daring, kemampuan ekonomi siswa, dan pola makan terhadap prestasi belajar pada smk yarsi medika tigaraksa. Desain Penelitian : dalam penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian kausal komparatif. Teknik sampel yang digunkan proposionate stratified random sampling sebanyak 81 Responden. Hsil Penelitian : berdasarkan uji T Pembelajran Daring berpengaruh Terhadap Prestasi Belajar, Kemampuan Ekonomi Siswa Berpengaruh Terhdap Prestasi Belajar, Pola makan Berpengaruh Terhadap Prestasi Belajar. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian uji F pembelajaran Daring Kemampuan Ekonomi Siswa Berpengaruh Terhadap Prestasi Belajar dengan hasil F tabel 3.411 dengan Nilai Signifikan 10%. Kesimpulan : hasil penelitian ada pengaruh pembelajaran daring Kemampuan Ekonomi Siswa Pola Makan Terhadap Prestasi Belajar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berlatar belakang dari perkembangan teknologi informasi sehingga dalam perkembangan ini telah mengubah pola pikir masyarakat dalam mencari informasi. Dalam hal ini salah satu bidang yang terkena dampaknya cukup tinggi adalah pendidikan, yang dimana sistem belajar mengajar yang dilakukan menggunakan pembelajaran e-learning. Peran orang tua bertanggung jawab sebagai motivator dalam proses pembelajaran anak. Selain itu, kecukupan gizi dan pangan merupakan salah satu faktor yang sangat penting untuk pengembangan kualitas Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM). Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh peran orangtua, motivasi belajar, dan kesehatan gizi anak terhadap efektifitas pembelajaran e-learning di Taman Kota Permai 2 RW 12 Periuk Kota Tangerang. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif, dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif korelasi. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah sampling jenuh. Cara pengumpulan data yaitu dengan membagikan kuesioner kepada orang tua melalui Google Form. Hasil penelitian Uji T (Parsial) didapatkan variabel pengaruh peran orang tua (X1), motivasi belajar (X2) dan kesehatan gizi anak (X3) dengan nilai 0.005, 0.407 dan 0.505 yang mana variabel X1 nilai tersebut lebih besar dari sehingga berpengaruh terhadap variabel Y.Untuk variabel X2 dan X3 tidak berpengaruh. Sedangkan berdasarkan hasil uji F (Simultan) yang telah dilakukan didapatkan nilai 0.013 yang mana lebih besar dari dan dapat disimpulkan bahwa semua variabel berpengaruh signifikan secara simultan.

Abstract

The Role of School Quality and Students’ Health on Academic Achievement: A Binary Probit Regression Study. Objectives: This study aims to show the effect of school quality, students’ health and s control variables on students’ academic achievement in Tangerang Municipality. Methods: The authors used a representative sample of students who were registered and active in public high schools; 332 samples. The data was obtained by a valid and reliable research instrument through questionnaire. The authors employed Likert scale to measure the variables, while the questionnaire has been distributed to the samples determined by simple random sampling. Findings: The current student’s academic achievement needs to be improved, because the level of achievement was 75% of the predetermined standard. By using a Binary Probit Analysis model, the authors found that the variables of school quality, socioeconomic status, students’ health, and age had significant effect on academic achievement, except the gender. Conclusion: The quality of school and students' health are important instruments for improving student academic achievement. Abstract

Objectives: The study aims to examine the relationship between parents' socioeconomic status and the academic achievement of public high school students in Tangerang Municipality. Methods: This research is a cross-sectional study of 660 (Cochran formulation with a sampling error of 3.7%) students from a total of 6,551 public senior high schools.. The author utilized a random sampling technique. The primary data was obtained through a questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability. The questionnaires were distributed to the participants using the students' WhatsApp groups. The author used a binary logit regression model for data analysis. Findings: The results showed that socioeconomic status significantly impacted on student academic achievement. Parents of students with high socioeconomic status were more likely to improve their child's academic results. Meanwhile, the composition of parents' socioeconomic status that contributes more dominantly to increasing academic achievement is the father's income and education and the mother's education, but not the mother's income and asset. Conclusion: Thus, one of the determinants of the academic achievement of high school students is the socioeconomic condition of their parents.
