Abstract

The Corona Virus Disease (Covid-19) outbreak has changed the pattern of human activity, including the world of education. Face-to-face learning that is commonly used now must be replaced with online learning. This study aims to offer a new media in history learning, both in the scope of formal and non-formal education. The media in question is E-Magazine Time in digital form, containing all historical events that are arranged sequentially and briefly and fulfills the concept of space and time in a historical sense. E-Magazine Time is allegedly a new learning media that researchers are trying to offer to the world of education, especially learning that is carried out through electronic and online media. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the Decide, Design, Development, and Evaluation (DDD-E) model. The decision-making stage is trying to do field observations and literature studies. After that, they carried out the design stage to describe the learning content. Development is the process of making E-Magazine Time learning media using the Canva application with the help of Heyzine Flipbook. And the last stage is an evaluation which includes learning material experts, media experts, and students' rights to produce appropriate learning media. After passing the exam, the eligible E-Magazine Time is declared to be applicable in history learning for all levels of education, both in the realm of formal and non-formal education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh keaktifan belajar menggunakan metode pembelajaran diskusi tipe buzz group pada mata pelajaran IPS kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 1 Gunung Meriah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis peneitian true eksperimental dengan desain berfokus pada posttest-only control design yang mana pada desain ini terdapat dua kelompok. Populasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII yang terdiri dari 6 kelas sedangkan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII4 sebagai kelas eksperimen yang diajarkan dengan metode diskusi buzz group dan VIII5 sebagai kelas kontrol yang diajarkan dengan metode diskusi dengan jumlah siswanya masing-masing 20 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan menggunakan observasi sebelum penelitian, angket, dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasi penelitian diperoleh nilai dengan kriteria uji thitung > ttabel atau 5,425 > 2,024 pada taraf signifikansi (a) 5% maka H0 ditolak atau terdapat pengaruh yang signifikansi metode pembelajaran diskusi dengan tipe buzz group terhadap keaktifan belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 1 Gunung Meriah

Abstract

The misconceptions that occur in integrated social studies subjects are caused by the wide scope of material, which causes students to have difficulty understanding the concepts conveyed by the teacher. A misperception is an error in understanding and explaining a concept based on previous experience. This study aims to determine the effect of the problem based learning model on reducing students' misconceptions in integrated social studies subjects. This type of research is experimental and uses a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sampling technique used in this study is a total sampling technique (population research). The sample in this study was from class VIII-E MTsS Insan Qura'ni Aceh Besar, totaling 27 people. The data collection technique is in the form of giving tests to students, namely a pre-test and post-test that are equipped with a three-tier diagnostic test. The results showed that the average score of students' misconceptions on the pretest was 33.33%, and the post-test was 15.06%. So, there is a decrease in students' misconceptions after the application of the problem based learning model of 54.81%. The results of hypothesis testing in this study were obtained, so that H0 was accepted and H1 was rejected. So the hypothesis in this study is that there is a decrease in the value of misconceptions after the application of the problem based learning model. The conclusion of the study is that the application of the problem based learning model can reduce students' misconceptions in integrated social studies subjects about interaction between ASEAN countries (class VIII MTsS Insan Qur'ani Aceh Besar).

Abstract

Various efforts have been made to improve students’ understanding of basic physics concepts, but their mindset in constructing knowledge remains problematic. The learning process has yet to engage long-term memory, preventing meaningful analysis-level understanding. This research aimed to activate students’ thinking patterns based on ethnoscience through learning tools such as modules, semester learning plans (RPS), and student worksheets (LKM) that are valid, practical, and efficient. The research used the R&D method with the ADDIE approach, involving 2 expert validators and all Physics Education students at FKIP USK enrolled in basic physics courses in 2022. The results indicated that the ethnoscience-based basic physics learning tools of the Acehnese community, which include modules, RPS, and LKM, effectively supported Merdeka Belajar and have been validated for their validity, practicality, and efficiency. Students were highly motivated and impressed by the concept of measurement in physics, which has long been practiced by the Acehnese community, such as in paying zakat fitrah during Ramadan. The scientifically understood volume-measuring tools used by students were not significantly different from the ethnoscience tools used by the Acehnese community. Ethnoscience facilitates meaningful learning by analyzing context, content, and literacy.

Abstract

Pasar ideal adalah kondisi pasar yang bersih, aman, nyaman, dan sehat yang terwujud melalui kerjasama seluruh unit dalam menjaga lingkungan pasar dan menyediakan bahan pangan yang aman dan bergizi untuk masyarakat. Pasar merupakan salah satu tempat masyarakat beraktivitas setiap harinya untuk memenuhi kebutuhannya. Seperti contohnya di Pasar Rukoh, terdapat banyak pedagang yang menjual belikan dagangannya seperti sayuran, buah-buahan, ikan, nasi, eceran dan lain sebagainya. Di area Pasar Rukoh terdapat TPS yang telah berada di lokasi lebih dari 10 tahun lamanya, keberadaan TPS tersebut menyebabkan timbulnya bau tak sedap di area Pasar Rukoh serta sampah yang beterbangan ketika angin berhembus. Sehingga hal ini menarik minat peneliti untuk meneliti kajian persepsi pedagang terhadap keberadaan Tempat Penampungan Sementara (TPS) ditinjau dari sosial-ekonomi di Pasar Rukoh Kecamatan Syiah Kuala. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi pedagang terhadap keberadaan Tempat Penampungan Sementara (TPS) ditinjau dari sosial-ekonomi di Pasar Rukoh Kecamatan Syiah Kuala. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian survei. Populasi penelitian ini adalah pedagang yang berada di sekitar TPS Pasar Rukoh, serta metode pengambilan sampel yang digunakan yaitu purposive sampling dengan jumlah responden 9 pedagang yang berada 50m dari lokasi TPS. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi, kuesioner, dan studi kepustakaan. Terdapat 20 pertanyaan kuesioner dengan indikator sosial-ekonomi dan item pertanyaan mengenai kenyamanan, kesehatan, lingkungan dan pendapatan. Teknik pengolahan data yang digunakan yaitu rumus statistik, serta untuk menganalisa data kuantitatif menggunakan rumus statistik sederhana. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, keberadaan TPS Pasar Rukoh cukup mempengaruhi keadaan sosial-ekonomi pedagang dengan jawaban angket paling dominan yaitu sangat tidak setuju (42,8%).Kata kunci : Persepsi, Pedagang, TPS, Sosial-Ekonomi

Abstract

This research examines the migration of the Minangkabau to Tanah Gayo, Aceh. This research aims to describe the history of migration, the factors of migration, and the impact of the migration of the Minangkabau tribe to Tanah Gayo. The method used in this research is an ethnological research method with data sources through literature studies. This study shows that the history of migration of the Minangkabau tribe to Tanah Gayo started in 1915 (during the Dutch colonial period) and continued until post-independence. The Minangkabau tribe came in waves and generally as traders of spices and textiles. The factors that make the Minangkabau migrate to Tanah Gayo are due to economic factors by way of trading, and cultural factors also influence, namely because there is a matrilineal system. In addition, other factors are due to the philosophy of life that recommends migrating, and other factors are due to disputes in the area of ​​origin and the spreading of the Muhammadiyah organization. The impact of the presence of the Minangkabau tribe on the Tanah Gayo community is the condition of Tanah Gayo being multicultural, the recognition of the Muhammadiyah organization, Minang traders who have created a market, and the occurrence of cultural acculturation due to the marriage between the Gayo tribe and the Minangkabau tribe.

Abstract

This study aims to provide an overview of improving civic skills in the workforce. The era of the industrial revolution 4.0 has had an impact on the world of employment, which is required for citizens to adapt in order to maintain their lives. At this point it is necessary to make preparations for citizens to increase their competence. BLK is a state’s tool that functions as a facility for increasing citizen skills. The research was conducted at BLK Aceh Province. This study uses a qualitative approach. Data collection using techniques such as observations, interviews, and document analysis. Participants in this study were instructors and trainees. The results of the study show that BLK has improved civic skills through the training program implemented

Abstract

Problems related to the lack of public understanding about how to process organic waste into something useful and highly useful are problems faced by the general public in environmental conservation. This community service aims to educate waste management and ecoenzyme making training targeting students in schools. and make direct practice on how to process it correctly. Community service is carried out at SMPN 1 Batussalam. Participants in this training activity are all students. The forms of community service activities are socialization, waste management education and ecoenzyme making training. The results of the Ecoenzyme community service are natural liquids resulting from the fermentation of organic waste such as sugar or molasses, fruit or vegetable waste, and water (AC waste, rainwater, tap water) which can be used in many ways and become goods that have high utility value. The manufacturing process takes 3 months with materials from organic waste residue. The equipment needed such as containers, teleman knives and duct tape. Community service suggestions are to provide more intensive socialization to the community about the use of waste so that it has economic value
